Great Choice in the value/casual Italian Segment Leaning Tower of Pizza Fresh Mushrooms: Check Fresh Brewed Ice Tea: Check Serves Slices All Day Long: Check. On the strength of the above alone, Leaning Tower of Pizza surpasses most of the pizza restaurants in the Space Coast including Bizzaros (no fresh mushrooms) a few beachside pizzerias (see my other reviews) that serve fake bar-gun tea. The sign on the door at leaning tower says "Nothing Fancy Just Good Food" and the menu is consistent with the sign. A cheese pizza is $9.80 for a 15 inch (Medium) and just $10.80 for a 17 inch large. They also serve pasta a very reasonable prices $6.80 for Spaghetti , $8.80 for Manicotti, Ravioli, Lasanga, Stuffed Shells, Alfredo, or Linguini with clams sauce, all of which come with salad and garlic bread. Good luck trying to break your date's wallet here as nothing on the Entrees and Pasta menu is over twelve bucks. A thin slice is $1.50 plus forty centers per topping. The slices were served very hot, and were very crisp. The slices fit my definition of New York style i.e. sauce should be visible when looking through the cheese. In my book it is possible to put too much cheese on a pizza. The size of the slices is average. I was not completely full with just two of them. Next time if I get slices I will order one thin and one Sicilian (thick). The décor is nothing fancy. This is casual Italian nothing fancy. On my next visit I will try the pasta. The server was pleasant and efficient. In the casual/value Italian segment is a very good choice. Their menu says this family owned restaurant has been providing quality foods in at affordable prices for 25 years. They are clearly doing a lot of things right

We came in to try it out and the pizza definitely delivered. Not only is the pizza good, but there salads were huge. My friend got a chicken ceasar salad, and they dump a load of chicken on it. By the end of it, it became a game to find pieces of lettuce among all the chicken. The waiting staff was also very friendly and very willing to strike up a conversation. We had a pleasant time with our waitress.

In fairness, I would have to go a few more times to give it four stars, but the pizza was perfectly fine and the salad was good, too. Rave? Ehhh, I wouldn't drive across town or make a destination restaurant, but it was fine.

After reading several favorable reviews, I decided to give Leaning Tower a try. Unfortunately, I am unable to offer a positive review. Ambiance: While this place is very clean, its dark and dingy inside. The plaza looks pretty shady too. Service: I wasn't thrilled when I had to seat myself, but the young man who waited on me was attentive, knowledgable, and clearly happy to be working there. Food: don't you ha when something stars great but ends horribly? That's how I feel about the food at Leaning Tower. The salad was delicious (and I am NOT a salad eater,) the garlic bread was perfection, but the lasagna was a bubbling pile of oil and grease. It had no discernible flavor and it, unfortunately, made me very sick to my stomach for the rest of the day. If I try this place again, It will only be because of the service I received and I will definitely order something else!

The Pizza is really good but, the rest well...not so much. I'm am a complete pizza fanatic and I can say that the pizza is really good. And that would be all you needed to know if that was the only thing on the menu. However... We have been here several time over the years and here are some of our observations. This establishment has been in the same location for decades (1982) and it shows. After we greeted the disinterested cooks and servers standing there and seated ourselves, we noticed that the cleanliness was not the best. It appears that the bulk of their current business is the brisk takeout of pizzas, but the sit down dining seems to be almost an annoyance for them. Hence the chicken in the chicken parmesan tasted like an old refrigerator. We agree with other reviewers that said the baked dishes were just a bowl of bubbly grease and tasteless without seasoning. This Chicken Parmesan was totally herb-less and spice-less as well. There were only two kinds of beer available on draft...and it was warm. Back to the pizza: The pizza is generally very good however, the fresh garlic that I ordered as a toppings was jarred garlic from the refrigerator and it was old, browning, and tasted awful. Ouch! We all know how that fine minced jarred garlic gets really pungent and nasty when it gets old. Well, throw it out, right? When I mentioned that to the owner, (since he asked what I thought), he and the cook both indignantly stated that it was made fresh every day and no way. Well, I may not be the greatest chef in the world but I'm not an idiot either and that's just insulting. Sorry guys, I can't recommend your place for that reason. When you are busted like that, you just apologize and say you'll fix it. Ouch. Oh, and by the way leaning tower, don't serve warm beer.

Pizza....get...the...pizza. We only get the pizza here, because we find ourselves craving it so heavily and that's when we get it. The pizza is very good. It's not flashy gourmet pizza with figs and wheat germ. It's the real deal authentic thinner crusted New York style stuff we all grew up on (or should have). The restaurant is simple and clean. The staff are friendly and efficient. We've never been here and been less than completely delighted.

I remember this restaurant from when I was younger living in Melbourne. I've since moved away, but landed in Orlando. I came back to Melbourne to visit family and we went to a Leaning Tower for dinner. I ordered a calzone, and it was THE BEST I've ever had. I always get a no frills ham and cheese calzone anywhere I go, but this had a wonderful flavor that I've never had anywhere. I think they call is seasoning...who knew??? I could only eat half in the restaurant, and I reheated the other half the next day. Just as good reheated. The only sad thing is that I think they have ruined me for calzone anywhere else. I'll definitely have to hit up Leaning Tower every time I'm in Melbourne for that amazing calzone!!!

Prompt, friendly service. Tasty pizza, pasta - generous servings on all dishes. You can tell it has been there a while, but it is clean. Would give higher review except the decor needs some updating: it's dark and there is an underlying odor of mold (or a bad septic system?). I think that would lead others to believe the place isn't clean...

Great little place for pizza and Stromboli. Great service, great food, at a great price. What more can you ask for? I used them to feed my 25+ group during a lunch, they had my pizzas and salad with dressings on side ready on time.

The pizza was pretty good. I don't like a paper thin pizza and their crust, I think, was just right. Their sauce was nice and sweet, the only thing was there was a bit too much cheese for me, I like a nice balance of sauce and cheese on my pizza and they were a little heavy handed...but overall a good pizza. I'd go there again.

This is a wonderful little place on Wickham. Their promise for no frills attached food is upheld and i truly admire that. Leaning tower is a true hole in the wall gem. I went during lunch on a weekday and ordered stuffed shells along with a slice of white pizza. The cesar salad that came with the shells was phenomenal. I don't usually say This about salad, but the vinaigrette was tasty and clearly house made. The owner gave me free breadsticks as a courtesy since I had to wait a little. The breadsticks were mind blowing. Warm and crispy, with a delicious grainy crust of Romano cheese and granules of garlic. One would wonder, where did things go wrong? The pizza came out and I liked the crust. Not too thin, not too thick. Perfect balance but the toppings left something to be desired. Mushrooms on top were still watery, the white sauce was barely there, and there was nothing memorable about the slice. The stuffed shells were a huge disappointment. They were obviously stuffed a frozen days in advance. The ricotta cheese inside them was pressed together, dried out and looked unappetizing. The shells came in a marinara sauce that looked like a pool of red gatorade. It was very watery, with random pieces of tomatoes swimming around. I packed it and took it home, but it eventually ended up in the garbage. To conclude, this meal started at a high note but ended on a super low, hence the 3 star review. Will I return to spend $14 on meatless cesar salad and potential free garlic bread? Probably not.

I have been coming here for about 13 years and it's amazing!! Prices are beyond reasonable and the staff is always welcoming. This is my go to pizza joint and they never disappoint. They have the best breadsticks and creamy Italian sauce that is out of this world! A must try!

Incredible mom & pop hole in the wall restaurant. Some of the best pizza and spaghetti with mussels I've ever had. Pasta was cooked perfectly with incredible sauce and garlic breadsticks. Great service as well! HIGHLY recommend this place.

This is my favorite mom and pop italian place in Melbourne. I like everything there, but I almost always get an all beef stromboli with sauce on the side. Service has always been great for me and I always leave stuffed.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
