For some reason, it's bizarre to me that Melbourne has a brewery, and even MORE bizarre to me that it actually has fantastic beer. I came here on a Monday night (our mistake) with a friend to catch up. It was... basically empty, but again--Monday night, right? I ordered a $5 pint of the Black and Blue Blueberry Porter ("Imagine having a blueberry pancake and washing it down with a rich porter. That's what this robust porter is all about. Rich and dark with a nose and finish of fresh blueberries. De-lish!") which tastes JUST LIKE it's described in the aforementioned parentheses. Literally, the Black and Blue was one of the best beers I've had, ever, which was incredible. Unfortunately, the exterior / interior / atmosphere / .. everything about being inside of Intracoastal was creepy, from the 2 people (total) at the bar screamlaughing about America's Funniest Home Videos to the silent staff to the VERY SOFT MUSIC, so everyone could hear our conversations at all times. But, judging from the other Yelp reviews, it looks like I just picked a bad time to come--judging by all the cool Sharpie-graffiti on the tables, it seems like a fun-ish place to come with a big group, on weekends. So ultimately, I'd give my experience at Intracoastal 3 stars due to the excessive creepiness canceling out the great beer, but I feel like the timing was my own mistake--hence the 4. Perhaps I will be back with friends on a weekend (if I am ever in Melbourne again) to try more of their cool, cheap, local beer options.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff serving above average beer. The tasting room is pretty basic. Seating is at the bar or on picnic tables. A beer garden is on the horizon.

Service was great. They have a lot of games and even allow kids. Beer was decent that's why a 4star review. Peanut butter and jelly beer was very unique. No bottles only growlers.

This was a great stop on our trip to Florida. My husband went to school in Melbourne and we were here visiting. After our visit to Intracoastal he was sad because Melbourne did not have an awesome brewery like that back when he was at school. Lucky for the college kids that live here now, they get to drink good beer! So the tasting room is very nice, you can sit at the bar or at one of the picnic tables. They service was really good and my husband got to name one of the new beers they just put up. They said that they have not brewed the same beer twice yet as they figure out would people are going to like. We got tasters of all the beers they had that day and each and every one was good. All different styles too, something for everyone. This brewery will do well.

From time to time I visit Melbourne Florida to see my relatives. Although this seems to be a small town there is some gems around to be discover and luckily I found this one. Intercostal brewery if I'm not mistaken its the second brewery in town, but hands down I can tell you this the best one. Small cozy place is how I would describe this brewery. They have seven beers on tab all them their personal creations and one more that is a Woodchuck cider. Since I knew I wont be back in town soon I went for a fly so I got seven samplers for 15 dollars pretty reasonable price compare with others breweries in South Florida. From dark ales to Hefe's this guys have a lot to offer. The attendants are super friendly and helpful and the place is implacable. I really like their Hefeweizen nice orange flavor with out disturbing the beer taste. I'm not a light beer person but I also liked their Lawnmower light I can really see my self drinking this beer while I'm taking care of business around the house. Awesome place I wish these guys the best and most likely I will stop by during my next visit in town

Great beer and great service! I'm an IPA drinker and they had an excellent selection with a regular IPA and a WIPA. I've been in 2 or 3 times and the service is always outstanding. 5 stars for this place!

I must say, I didn't expect good beer in the south, or breweries that were interested in trying new things. I've now been to Intracostal twice and their sense of adventure in beer really impressed me both times: spicy lagers, imperial stouts, and beers brewed with corn, and all of them were delicious. The facility is really nice, with plentiful seating and nice TVs. The staff are really friendly and pleasant. I wish them much luck in growing their business and look forward to visiting them many times in the future.

Just stumbled upon this brewery as traveling, and glad that we did. Nice variety of beers, 8 as I recall, and the four that we tried were all delicious, nicely balanced and well done. Mine had a subtle smokey flavor, you could tell that that was there but the smoke did not take away from the rest of the flavors. Staff was friendly. Facilities clean. These people should have a growing presence. And we look forward to visiting again when we return to the area.

I travel the country visiting breweries and tap rooms. This place has one of the best selections of any tap room I have visited. My only wish would be that atmosphere would match the amazing beer focus.

Amazing amazing amazing! Great staff, very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have about their beer. The brew master has some of the best local beer around! Quickly rotating beers gives you an opportunity to try something new each week. They also have card/board games to play when you have a group of people. No food there but plenty of places around to deliver or pick up. Worth the visit! I guarantee you will be back.

A fabulous new business with wonderful vision & potential. Their brews highlight a delicious palette developed with imagination & technical knowledge. More seating, indoors & outdoors would be great

Must go, such a friendly place and the brewmaster knows his stuff! They will be extending the hours to be open more days of the week. Go and support a local brewing company!!

Great atmosphere...nice to see a young crowd (late 20s-30s). Ordered flight and overall.....mediocre. Too bad because it has the opportunity to be big.

On another Sunday Funday my wife and I had, we decided to go down to the Brevard Zoo and hit this brewery on the way home. I'm very glad we did! Even though they haven't been open very long, they've apparently brewed over 100 different beers. They've never brewed the same beer twice. We had a passion fruit wheat, an amber, and an irish stout. My favorite was the passion fruit wheat, but they were all solid. I wish they were closer so we could visit more. The atmosphere was good. It was a smaller serving room with the brewing area included. It felt open and inviting though, with plenty of signage with information about the beers. They had about 8 on tap, which for the small 3-barrel system they're using, is pretty good. The staff was all friendly. We took a tour with one of the three owners and also met the brewmaster. We had a great time with everyone and would love to go back!

A must for anyone staying in the Melbourne/Eau Gallie area. Within walking distance of where we stayed. Stopped in for a beer. Atmosphere was good. Service was good. Beer was good. No outdoor seating area though, so if that's what you are looking for, you won't find it there.

Was just there, staying up in Cocoa Beach, and a guy at Cocoa Beach Brewing recommended a visit to Intracoastal, and I was so glad ?I followed his advice. There were 7 beers on tap, from wheat to pumpkin to porter, and it was all great! Well-executed beers, with unique favors. I took home a growlette of the blonde, had it with my Cuban dinner :) highly recommended! The taproom is a pleasant space, hope to see them distributing soon!

Does winning an award for their pale ale over Cigar City not intrigue you. Well it should!! This place is a god send to Brevard county!! The Head brewer and pretty much everyone that works there are so delightful and really down to earth. The beers are top notch. None of that expected homebrew flavor you get out of a lot of micro breweries. They have very creative ideas for their beers and aren't afraid to give them some pretty awesome names! Go have a great time! Bring in your food and chill for a while!

Stopped in to check this place out. A small selection of beers is why im giving it 4 stars. But it is a brewery so they only sell their own brand. I think they had a total of 7 or 8 beers. I didn't really find any of them to my liking but they did the job nevertheless and it was a very friendly atmosphere. Its worth stopping in for a taste

Great service, and a nice wide selection of beer as well. They had eight of their beers on tap plus two guest beers from other Florida breweries. My favorites were the Mexican Delight stout and Orange-A-Peel Hefeweizen. They do a good job of adding detailed descriptions about each beer on their menus. We went during they day, so the atmosphere was pretty laid back.

The atmosphere is great D soon as you walk in the door. They make you feel welcome and treat you as a regular. The beer is pretty damn good to and honestly could definitely compete with some of the brew companies that are out right now. The hazel cocoa nut is something that everyone needs to try.

With nine of their own beers on tap this brewery is actually very small and yet very impressive. The beers were well thought out. Peanut butter jelly time being my favorite. And the service was really excellent. What better to pass time than having tv's and games to keep everyone occupied? The atmosphere was a newer modern style but the beer was worth the try.

Great selection and all were tasty. Pumpkin beer was so good that you could taste the whip cream on the pumpkin pie. It was the blueberry sour was a little to sour for me. Stout had great charred taste.

Amazing brew, never had the same beer 2x, The brewers are super awesome, plenty of games if your board, only downfall is the lack of space, but definitely worth it!!

If you like epic beer, getting teased by bartenders and writing on tables put your phone down and go to Intracostal immediately. I don't know if there is a "Best Bar in Melbourne" award, but if there is all previous winners should be stripped of their awards and they should all be given to Intracostal. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and better beer than anywhere else in Melbourne.

I love the variety of beer that IBC creates. I started with a flight but eventually found the beers I prefer. I ended with bringing a growler home. On my next visit I just had to have two of their beers in my refrigerator...hence a second growler now. Great place! Go regularly so you can try each new brew!
