Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

I have been coming here with my wife for a couple of years now, and I hate to say this will be my last. We stopped in to get some dessert and were served by an older woman who was nothing short of rude and patronizing. She took my wife's order just fine, but when I went to place mine I asked if she could mix something extra into my shake and flat out told me what I wanted was disgusting. Taken aback, I tried asking then what she would recommend and how they made the shakes and my simple questions annoyed her and I was mocked for even asking. After we paid for our shakes and thanked her for them she just looked at us and walked away without a word. In addition, the ice cream we got was terrible. My wife's tasted freezer burnt and my shake which was just a simple oreo shake tasted like chalk. We ended up throwing it away. I'd recommend any other ice cream place if you have a choice.

Great place ok ice cream. Not the best quality but ok. Service is slow and un motivation. Employees prefer watching TV and chatting with friends than helping customers. Server didn't know anything about the ice cream or Sundays. Place is a bit run down. Owner could do some refurbishment. Looks like nothing has changed since the day it was opend. Old out of service video games art from cartoons long gone by.

I'm new in town and pass by this place everyday on my way from work. I decided to stop in and get a milkshake during my lunch break. Long story short-I will not visit this establishment ever again or recommend them to coworkers. I walked in and the place smelled of cigarettes, the staff member was on her cell from the time I walked in until the time I left (which took about 15 mins to make a milkshake). She was eating and licking her fingers as she prep'd my milkshake, if she had not already taken my money, I would have walked out. I took a sip of the small $4ish shake and threw it away.

New to the area and unfortunately I did not look online before stopping. The ice cream is marginal at best. The shakes are basically cold milk and very thin. The super surpising item....the cashier (owner) instruct patrons to complete the top part of the payment screen on her ipad before you get you product. Seems to be begging for a tip which is not deserved. Try it out and feel cheated when you leave.

Ice cream is homemade and delicious. Was not a huge fan of their "best in the world" banana split. They use syrups and canned fruit instead of fresh. Had the strawberries and pineapple been fresh I probably would have given 5 stars. Highly recommend coconut and banana ice creams.

Amazing staff. Lets start there....they were so sweet, personable, and funny!!! They made ordering easy (yes it can be difficult) and made us northerners feel at home. The ice cream was delicious and creamy, and the banana split lives up to the reputation....so damn big. And huge!!!! Definitely a place to go. And as the cute icecream guy said "dont go to twisty cone! Its fake processed stuff!!!" I agree....go here!

The best ice cream place in Melbourne. They have a variety of flavors. apart from the ice cream I also like the ambiance. Would recommend the coconut flavored ice cream!

This place is great. During our visit to the area, we ended up coming here twice. The ice cream was very fresh and tasty. They have a whole room of old coin rides that my toddlers enjoyed riding. It isn't the prettiest place, but I would definitely come back.

Yummy homemade ice cream - lots of flavors. No non-dairy alternatives. A few rides are available for small kids (2-5yrs). Other half of store appears to be Ebay sales area. Note: the parking lot is dirt/sand - this may not be optimal for some vehicles.

I live in Boston, but come to West Melbourne often to visit my Mom. Every time we visit we have to make a stop for some yummy ice cream. My son loves the Superman ice cream and has told all of his friends in Boston how yummy it is! I cannot eat sugar and they have a simply heavenly sugar free Caramel Pecan Swirl that blew me away! Awesome! No yucky after taste, I swear!! A little pricey, maybe, but for me, a sugar free girl it is definitely worth it! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Horrible ...NEVER AGAIN! The woman who works there, I believe is the owner has got to be one of the nastiest people I have ever met! I witnessed her verbally bully customers ... What a shame , and she's running for a public office !?!?? Only saving grace are the other young ladies who work there, they were very sweet! Spend your money where people appreciate it !

Quirky little ice cream spot with tons of homemade, eye-catching flavors. The dark dream was awesome for both chocolate lovers and non-lovers (who come from another planet.) Mix it w strawberry and your palette may or may not explode.

Great ice cream, great staff. The owner, Lisa, is very nice. She may tease or give some people a hard time but she means no harm. They have special sales each day like wear PJs on Wednesday to get a % off or BOGO. More importantly, the ice cream is the best in the area. It's the closest to homemade without actually making it at home. Beware! After being in ice cream heaven, you may not like reality!

Fantastic place with lots of personality. We were debating the black walnut or the maple walnut for our hot fudge sundae, and staff recommended the maple walnut, since the black walnut tastes a bit like black licorice (yuck). We were not disappointed, it was a great sundae, and a great porch to eat it on. It's places like Northstar that make me want to move to a small town.

  • Holly B.

Northstar Ice Cream Depot is a great place to go locally for a cool treat. They offer ice cream (duh!) from milkshakes to banana splits as well as hot dogs, buffalo wings and nachos. Their menu boasts over 44 flavors! It's got hometown charm with a rustic exterior. The main room is the checkout counter and kitchen where the ice cream is prepared. To the left is a small game room, and to the right is what appears to be what can only be described as a knick-knack shop. The woman who served us was friendly with a dash of sarcasm, and our order (hot fudge sundae with chocolate ice cream and oreos) was served quickly. No complaints with the ice cream, it was delicious! Definitely will be back.

  • Julianna H.

Got a banana split and brownie sundae. The portions were huge, and the ice cream was delish. Prices were a little too high, but overall we had a good time. We will definitely visit again.
