What used to be one of our favorite restaurants has taken a step backwards. Any menu adjustments are forbidden. Taboule was just okay last night. There are apparently no gluten-free options with the hummus. They have Greek salad and gyros on the menu, but no kalamata olives are available. Waitstaff was slow and inattentive. With that said, the entrees were pretty good, but we had a mediocre experience overall on the way to see Weird Al Yankovic in concert.

Very, very delicious. Everything looked and tasted wonderful. The lady who runs it is so nice, helpful and charismatic! Charming little place with good food!

I am a big fan of Cedars Cafe. The food is always wonderful each time I go! My favorite dish is Renee's Shish taouk! It comes with rice mixed with pine nuts which I absolutely love. The restaurant itself is a small, family owned place, but in my opinion these are the best places for original, quality food. The 10 times or so I've been there (for both lunch and dinner), the staff has always been extra informative and friendly. The only drawback is they have unusual hours; but I have to say this is still one of my favorite places to eat nonetheless!

Delish food, helpful staff! Make reservations and make them well in advance (early in the day), small space/limited seating. Food is bought and cooked fresh so when they run out of food, you're outta luck. Great for vegetarians. I do want to add that because of the small space/limited seating, it's difficult to have a private or intimate conversation with your dinner mate because the tables are so very close you really hear everything being said by the tables surrounding you. So, though the ambiance is intimate/romantic, it's not likely to happen.

Toni's food is amazing! You can taste the passion she puts into each dish. Call ahead and ask her to make you something special You will not be disappointed. Toni is a vegan but caters to everyone. Call ahead for reservations. Cedars is fantastic!!!!!

Shame on Cedars, and especially those that actually wrote a review. I made a very big mistake, normally ask if the gyro's (lamb and beef slices) is from the spit which is packaged as a large cone, or the poor substitute pre cut, pre packaged and dirt cheap. Mistake number one was reading reviews, mistake number two never did ask about the lamb slices. The Greek salad consisted of lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, pita bread (atrocious), green olives, prepackaged tasteless gyro , and more lettuce. Cost to the restaurant is probably $3 and my bill was $12.50 for the large salad. Actually the large means more lettuce, left hungry, disillusioned, and ripped off. The wine list is non existent, they have a small selection, with pricing at $26,$28, who knows? what ever price they can get that day, amazed how this place can stay in business. Note : the excuse for the lack of selection on Lebanese wine, is well they have a war you know! If you really want to go to that side of town, at least spend less and go next door to Panera bread. Normally would say that was 60 minutes I can never take back in my life, but we did have good friends with us and we were all polite and never mentioned this experience. On a positive note plenty of parking due to a very large strip mall, normal spaces, the lines are diagonal and painted white.

My son and I went tonight for dinner and were extremely disappointed with the service. We were seated outside by the hostess. The waitress brought us water to drink and then disappeared for 20 min. After trying to get her attention, we decided to leave. We will never know how good the food is

Blink, and you might miss it. The Cedar's Cafe, I mean. A seemingly tiny restaurant nestled in a strip mall near other larger food chains we won't mention here (because they cannot compare.) The windows in the bright Floridian sun reflect, so it's difficult to get a glimpse inside. Once you open the door, however, you're transported inside a small, but intimate, clean, unique dining environment. The tables and chairs are covered with fabric, glass over the top of table clothes. The walls appear to be hand painted Mediterranean scenes of water scapes, green hills and vines decorate lattice work to make the diner imagine a garden. It smells divine inside, clean and well trained staff are at the ready to seat you and greet you. The food thought...sweet lord, the food. Nothing is pre-made, everything appears fresh and made to order. The GYROS ARE HEAVEN. I cannot, and have not (and maybe will not) find another restaurant that serves a gyros as tasty, with perfectly spiced, perfectly melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and tangy yogurt sauce as I did here. The baba ganoush is another personal favorite--with a lingering, roasted/smoked flavor that is perfectly matched by the fresh, soft, delicious pita bread chips served with. There are many, many other dishes to try and I am confident that they are just as amazing as my favorites and I don't just recommend this, I insist you go!

We have waited 11 months to get back here and were delighted to find everything just as delicious! What a gem! The humus is the best we've ever had; in fact there is nothing that isn't wonderful.

Close to a 5 star. Excellent food and service. The specials are worth it. The only negative I can think of is the size of the place. Very small. But not crowded. Hidden in a strip mall in Melbourne but worth the hunt to find it. Chef is fantastic. Came out and greeted us

Great authentic Mediterranean food! You can taste the tahini in the hummus... Rare to find a restaurant that doesn't cheap out on the hummus.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. The only reason I gave it one star was because I had to in order to post this review. Because of all the good reviews we decided to try the Cedar Cafe last night. Horrible experience. We began with the pick 3 starter and chose falafel, baba ganaouj and grape leaves. There were two on the plate - my friend's was cold and mine burning hot - it had clearly been nuked?? I have never had hot grape leaves before never mind ones that have been microwaved. I have had better falafel on the streets of NYC. The only "star" of that plate was the baba ganaouj. For dinner we shared Evelyn's Shawarma described as "tender, shredded sirloin slowly cooked on a rotisserie. They forgot to add that it is finished in the microwave. This dish was dry, tough, tasteless and like my grape leave, burning hot - something that only happens when a dish is nuked. And where was that great basmati rice?? Certainly not on our plate. And then there was the service or lack there of. Our waiter never took dishes or glasses away from our small table. Nor was he proactive in refilling wine glasses. At the end of dinner I decided to advise him of the problems with our food. To which he replied in an extremely condescending and arrogant voice " but you finished everything, didn't you?". Which we did not. I then questioned him about the rice not being basmati and his reply was "it is but I couldn't find the bag in the kitchen to show you". When my friend asked that he package the salad to go his response was " So there is nothing wrong with the salad?" (of course not, it's a salad, would be pretty hard to screw that up) Not a pleasant dining experience at all. Unbelievable that the Cedar Cafe advertises that everything is fresh and cooked to order. I guess that means frozen fresh and pre-portioned and then cooked to your order in the microwave. Definitely not worth the time or money. This little "gem" has alot of flaws.

I will be short. This is the goto place for Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisine. The ghost chili flatbread is AMAZING!

I've been visiting the Post Commons strip mall for years, and never even noticed the unassuming storefront for Cedars Cafe! But with all the great reviews, and a fan of Mediterranean food in the family, we had to check it out. Inside, the decor makes the most of a small indoor dining area. At lunchtime on a sunny day, it felt warm and cozy. We started with a pick 3 for $8.50. The house-made baba ganoush, was smoky, fresh, and served with plenty of pita. The stuffed grape leaves were a little on the salty side but satisfyingly lemony. And the falafel was well-made save for an odd slightly bitter taste. I would definitely order the baba ganoush and grape leaves again. I could eat a whole bowl of that smoky eggplant dip! The bean soup contains 16 types of beans, we were told, and had a savory, cinnamony flavor that was tasty and comforting. For entrees, we tried the gyro and shish taouk wrap. I loved the combo of the melt in your mouth lamb with feta and onion. My companion noted that although she typically finds lamb gamey, this was not so. We loved the garlic sauce in the shish taouk wrap. With the marinated chicken, it packed a punch! The waitstaff were cool, attentive, and answered all our questions. Everyone else in the cafe seemed to be having a great time. The only reason I deducted a star is because I spend most of the year in a place with a lot more ethnic food available, where the competition really pushes the standards up high. In Melbourne though, this was a great find. This small space features fantastic food, great service, and a comforting atmosphere. Don't forget to make reservations for larger parties, because you won't want to miss your chance to enjoy a delicious meal here at Cedars Cafe!

Food is authentic and AMAZING! Especially love the Fava beans in luscious garlic sauce, hummus, Gyro lamb pita, and ALL of the specials I have tried. One of my Favorites!

  • Don W.

First visit and probably the last. Service was rushed, more like fast food than a sit down restaurant. They couldn't fit the food on the tiny table! The food quality was fair overall. The only really good thing was the lamb skewers which were excellent. There is no way most of the food was prepared to order, based on the speed of delivery.

I kept hearing about this place so we tried it last night and everything was so good. The service is wonderful, great atmosphere, and huge portions. I can't wait to go again and try more of their menu because everything sounds amazing.

    (5)
  • Jay O.

Went there Saturday evening. Ordered a wine an appetizer, salad and main course. Told the wait staff that I did not want to be rushed and that I clearly did did want the next course brought out until I had finished the current one. Guess what: we hadn't finisher the appetizer when the salad appeared, remined the staff of my previously stated desire and they said fine, then before we eat half our salad out comes the main course: told staff to take it back until we were ready and was told they couldn't do that, I said they had too. All in all the food was mediocre, the service was awful and will never go there again, and unless that sort of service is acceptable neither should you: unless it's for a QUICK so-so meal. It's too bad as the last time the owner was there and the entire experience was great, sad to see such a negative change.

  • Michael K.

In Melbourne, if you want real, quality ethnic food, you're gonna go hungry... FAST. This are is a culinary wasteland. But then you find Cedar. Truly excellent. Everything is made from scratch, and amazing. Their hours as written on the door are essentially "until we run out of food". That os because they actually MAKE their food, rather than selling frozen junk. The only problem is that you really need to get reservations early or they may not be able to seat you... Guess why!

  • Vannessa G.

OH MY GOODNESS. This was the BEST meal I have ever have. Talk about a food-gasm! I did call and make a reservation - their hours are very limited for dinner service (5-8) and the restaurant is very cozy. Our server was just fantastic; very attentive without hovering. I ordered the beef shawarma and my mom had lamb skewers. I also tried the mulberry lemonade. The Chef is also very involved with her restaurant; she greats and chats with diners and everyone that works there is just super friendly. I am in love with this place!!!! Oh and the baklava, to good to be true!!!!

  • Robert B.

Great little restaurant! I had the beef shawarma and my wife had the shish taouk (garlic chicken) salad. Both dishes had excellent flavor, although my beef shawarma had a few more pieces of gristle and fat than expected. The side greek salad hit the spot with the excellent dressing and feta cheese. We had a couple glasses of a Lebanese cabernet blend that was quite unique and tasty. I was really in the mood for a wrap and salad for dinner, so I was a little bummed when I learned that I couldn't get a wrap for dinner. I understand that they are trying to keep the prices higher for dinner entrees, but I really wanted a wrap. Perhaps, they could put together some wrap combos to keep the prices near entree levels, but with the option to sample everything on the menu. The inside of the restaurant had an off-putting smell (think airplane bathroom), so we were delighted to find some tables outside to enjoy our meal. I'm not sure if there was a problem with the plumbing or ventilation that evening, but the odor was far from appetizing. I can't imagine that it's always like that. Despite a few minor setbacks I'd be willing to give this place another try because the food had great flavor and there aren't a lot of Mediterranean/Lebanese options in Brevard County.

This is one of the best restaurants around. We love the shish taouk, and lamb kabobs.

  • Chris B.

As other reviewers have noted, their food is garlic city but it's very, very good. I absolutely love the chicken shish taouk (sp?) I can't ever manage to order anything else cause that is just so good! Make sure to try that if you visit.

We are huge fans of Cedars Cafe. We have only been disappointed by Cedars when we called and found out that they were closing early because they ran out of food. The chicken shish taouk, fuul and fattoush are favorites here.

Cedars is different. It doesn't take long to figure that out. Located near a Publix on Wickham Road, Cedars' spot in the plaza looks like it was meant to be an insurance or travel agent's office. It's super small. The inside dining room contains only 7 tables; 4 of which are for only two people! But that didn't stop the owners from going all out on creating a little Mediterranean ambiance. As you can see from the photos, it's a little kitschy, but I like it. So, this place opened in 2004, and is absolutely loved by scores of regulars. How else could it stay open? You certainly didn't see or hear any advertisement. You didn't spot it from the road. You heard about it through someone else. It's busy here, and you're not likely to be seated immediately on the weekends without a reservation. It has taken me awhile to try this place, because my previous spontaneous visits would leave me waiting outside for 20 minutes or more, and I was too hungry, The meal: The menu is small, because everything is made from scratch. Have a specialty request? They will make it for you. Just provide 24 hours notice so they can purchase the ingredients. How's that for accommodating? I tried the gyros w/ rice, while my wife had lamb skewers. The portions were large. So large, in fact, that we were DENIED ordering an appetizer. That's right, DENIED. "No, that's too much food, our portions are large." said the waitress. My gyros were typical. Good, but not outstanding. I recommend you go for the lamb, because I stole a few bites from my wife, and I was blown away. Absolutely phenomenal!. Desserts: The dessert tray lies on a counter in the back of the restaurant.. You want something? They bring the tray, describe bite size desserts, then grab them with tongs and place them on your table. I would really prefer some baklava with ice cream, or something really cold. But, it's all room temp desserts. Maybe that's the Lebanese way, but I wasn't really feeling it. All in all, a solid 4. I'll be heading back sometime within the next year, I'm sure.

If you are anywhere near in Melbourne, this is the place to go to eat. Its small, pleasant, cute. Very well done for a hole-in-the-wall. Very nice waitstaff. This restaurant is owned by a Mother, Daughter and Husband. Represent Local. The food is completely delicious. My Uncle ordered what he called "the best Gyros of hsi life". I tried it and can't say I've had better. I ordered a Lamb Salad, which was perfectly cooked. Our other guest ordered Foole (Favre Beans with F-ing Amazing creamy-but-vegan garlic lemon sauce) and other vegan babaganooshy stuff. Excellent. If your used to NY or SF, you might not admire the Decor of this place, but for Melbourne, its as good as I've seen.

There are many positive reviews for this gem of a place, and I am not going to break that tradition. Yes, it's a cozy and tiny family run place in a dark corner of a shopping center on Wickham, but as was said before, it is REALLY EXCEPTIONAL!! The owner is truly of Lebanese origin, and really friendly, she's the chef and she will come out and chat frequently, depending on how busy she is. The non-family personnel there have told us that they are treated like family! A previous reviewer spoke of how she had ordered something and before the order was put in, a taste was given to make sure that it was something the she would enjoy. That was my first experience there, as well!! How cool is that?? We have had many of the items on the menu, kebabs, shwarma, hoummous, baba, etc. As previously opined by others, all are exceptional and cooked with love. Maybe it is me, but I feel that the best Middle Eastern food always seems to come out of Lebanese establishments. I have been to several Middle Eastern restaurants also, and I concur, this is absolutely the best that you can get!!

We tried this restaurant for the first time and the food was excellent. I had the flatbread pizza with goat cheese and figs, it was delicious. My husband got the roasted chicken over rice. The food is great and very authentic. The only problem is the place is way too small. You have to get a reservation and you feel a bit crowded in there. Also, the service was very slow maybe because it was a Saturday night. I will definitely go there again.

One of the few reasons I miss Melbourne living. Cedars is a little jewel tucked into the corner of a Publix plaza on Wickham Road. Inside, the owner and staff have taken time to decorate the very small space lovingly. The staff is absolutely friendly and welcoming. The food... The food is absolutely delicious. I have dreams about this food. I've tried many different things on the menu, and nothing is anything short of superb homemade Lebanese food. It is one of the few restaurants that I clear my plate at, no matter what. Save room for baklava and Turkish coffee. Heaven!

If you're looking for authentic Lebanese food, cooked fresh (never, ever frozen) Cedars Cafe is where you want to dine. This small 32 seat Cafe has been opened for 7 years and their prices have all but remained the same. The family atmosphere makes you feel as if you've come home. Always greeted with a smile and a "How are you?" from the owner Marlene El-Khouri or her daughter Toni will make you return over and over again. Special wine tasting dinners are one of the events that usually sells out. Reservations are made well in advance for those of us who frequent the Cafe. Private parties and catering are all part of their wonderful service. RESERVATIONS SUGGESTED even for lunch.

I came here for lunch today with a friend and after talking to our waiter, we both decided to get the Shish Taouk. It was my first time eating this dish, but it was delicious! There were chicken skewers on top of grilled veggies (rice was also an option) and a bowl of pita bread on the table to share. When it says "garlic sauce" they mean a garlic/olive oil mixture that has been made into an almost "fluffy" texture...if you don't like garlic, stay away (it's strong), but if you do like garlic, the sauce is absolutely marvelous! The restaurant is small, so I assume that it can get pretty full sometimes, but at lunch it wasn't all that bad and the waiter was very attentive (and has beautiful eyes! ;) )

EMPTY PLATE AWARD! This was a lamb burger with egg, roasted red cabbage, bacon cherry sauce, avocado poblano sauce and pomegranate ketchup, shaved black truffles and Bastrima (lamb prosciutto). Unreal, probably best burger ever! Love this restaurant! My wife had the beef lamb combo burger with this chili sauce, spicy ketchup, shug sauce, spinach, grilled avocado, sauteed mushrooms and grilled jalapeño. Yummy!

Came in on a weekday around 2pm for late lunch and there was a family, a businessman, and a couple elder ladies so it's a good place for everyone. It's a cozy environment. Didn't know anything about the restaurant but the waitress said she's never had a customer complain about the food. I tried the pick 3 and my mom had a wrap. The food was a great price and delicious. I'll definitely be back. Their walls are also chalkboards with customer drawings which I thought was fun.

Went back today for another Pam Greek salad, I went with a small, because the portions are so huge. I also added a small side of hummus which was fresh and delicious. And if you like desserts, I had the opportunity to try the baklava which is to die for. This is definitely a 5 star restaurant!

Staff is friendly and courteous. Dining area may be on the small side, but it is decorated appropriately. Food was very delicious. I ordered the kafta dinner that came with rice and hummus. The kafta was tender and rich in flavor, the hummus complimenting it well, and the rice topped with a garlic sauce was very very good. The chef will often ask each patron how the meal is to their liking and happy to chat with you. Looking forward to my next meal here.

This place is so amazing. I wish I could come here more often. if you miss Lebanese food and have a special dish in mind, they will make it for you. They made me manakeesh, which is fresh baked pizza-like dough with zatar (oregano, thyme and sesame) on top. I asked why it wasn't on the menu and the chef explained that if she put everything on the menu she knew how to make, the menu would be 11 pages long and no one would know what to order. Ah, the garlicky lamb, the baklava, the lebne (yogurt with a near cream cheese consistency) they have in the back that isn't on the menu... They cater and have helped make my reputation as having a catering super-power. They have quarterly wine dinners that sound amazing. I nearly cried when I heard her talk about the homemade bastourma (cured veal) and soujuk (spicy sausage) she was making for the November wine dinner that I wouldn't get to eat. Eat here for me - PLEASE keep them open.

Wonderful food, wine and service. Chef Toni is a genius and her creations, which change often, are a delight to the palate. Don't miss out on this intimate gem of a restaurant.

Second time in two weeks. Food is fresh and portions are generous. Reminds me of the Lebanese food in NY. Need to make reservations on Sat. We didn't have one but there was seating outside and it was cool enough to enjoy dinner in the shade. I had the lamb gyro dinner my only criticism is to make the slices thicker and crispier. My husband has the chicken shawarma and the tahini sauce was excellent. Rice was cooked to perfection!

This little nook of a place has become our new favorite in Brevard. You are made to feel totally at home, everything is stupendously delicious and made with a fantastic array of herbs and spices, and Toni creates each dish with TLC. The atmosphere is quaint, there is NO TV to distract your partner's attention from you, and when you leave you are already deciding "When can we go back?"

Awesome! This place is one-of-a-kind. We love everything about it - the ambiance, the friendly service, our favorite Mediterranean foods at decent prices... Falafel, foule, baba ghanoush, hummus, olives, simply delicious! This place easily fills up, and the tables are small, so its not ideal for larger groups. Lunch hour can be busy with the work crowd as well, but (fortunately?) there is a Panera bread next door.. Hopefully they can expand to another location or get more tables, because I'm hungry!

Wow! Wow! What a great meal ! The hummus was very good ! They give u plenty ! The soup was different ! Good! The gyros were the best I have ever had! The meat (lamb) was so tender ! Just delicious! They have a salad / Pam's salad with gyro meat / was to die for ! If u haven't tried this little restaurant , it is a must and soon to become a favorite !

They really seem to have gone down hill a lot, the last 3 or 4 times eating there just have not been that impressive, I wonder if the original owner still owns it or not, I haven't seen her in there in awhile.

Solid Mediterranean / Moroccan / Lebanese cuisine. Location is in a plaza next to a Publix, so there's lots of parking with easy access. Limited indoor seating, but there's quite a few sidewalk tables. Aside from the small seating capacity, the only other drawback is the bathroom location. Prices, food quality/selection and service were great. I'll definitely be back.

Awesome place when you are craving Mediteranean food...We've been going here for a few years and we always leave happy and full. The Shwarma salad is awesome, I always get extra garlic sauce on the side, the only other place that beats the garlic sauce is in Buena Park, Ca so needless to say this stuff is AWESOME!!! The gyro is great, pita bread is super soft and for $6 a wrap you can't go wrong for lunch. The service is always great although I have noticed that if I come after 11:30 it's starts to get super busy and it's a small restaurant. If you are a garlic-aholic or need a gyro fix this is defintiely the place to come. Only reason I gave it a 4 star was because they started charging extra for extra sauce on the side:(

The food is very good here, no complaints about that. However, the place is too small. I have eaten there a few times and there is so little room, i'm afraid to raise my elbow w/o bumping into a waiter walking by. I feel like i'm eating w/ a straight jacket on. Eat but don't move!! The table for 2 are way to small and uncomfortable. I hope the owner has enough sense to expand if they have the opportunity. They certainly are ALWAYS busy and are making money.

I have yet to find a Lebanese restaurant that even compares to Cedars - and believe me, I've tried since leaving Florida. The food is very affordable, portions are big, and the staff, who are super nice, actually encourage sharing. Though tiny, Cedars has wonderful ambiance and is very vegan friendly (a rarity for Brevard County). My favorites are the hummus and baba (seriously, best ever) and the vegetarian dinner entree. which is chock full of grilled veggies, pine nuts, rice, and their signature garlic sauce. Oh, and their baklava is vegan since they don't use honey. Bonus! The only complaint I have is that on the weekends they often run out of food pretty early in the night, but that's just because they use fresh ingredients and are very popular.

We LOVE this restaurant. The food is outstanding, and not just one specific thing, but everything we have ever tried. The best shawarma and shish taouk. Everything is fresh and homemade. The family that owns and runs the restaurant are wonderful people who seem to only serve what they would feed their family. When everything has gone so commercial, it is rare to find a restaurant that offers a consistently amazing experience from start to finish. You will not be disappointed at Cedars Cafe.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Melbourne. The Shish Touk is amazing! My only complaint is that they are not open on Sundays. Also, they serve dinner until they run out of food, so if you have your heart set on a certain dish, don't get there late! We've had them cater parties, and their catered food is every bit as good as their dining room food. The rose baklava is unique, and as delicate as it is sweet.

Cedars is a great little gem in Melbourne. It has limited seating, but it's an intimate setting. The staff is very accommodating - when I ordered the chicken shwarma sandwich the waitress asked me if this was my first time trying the dish. I said it was, and she brought me out a small sample to make sure I liked the filling! It was excellent. Great, healthy food, charming ambiance and excellent service. Will definitely be going back!

If you love Garlic ... you will love Cedars, if not stay away. We dined at Cedars with another couple. We enjoyed the meal but did not find their food any better than Skewers, which is our standby for Lebanese/Greek/Middle Eastern cuisine. Just about every dish from hummus, to Lamb Shish Taouk was loaded with garlic. Not a little bit of garlic, not a moderate amount of garlic, but a ton of garlic. I like garlic but this was a little much for me. The other dinners in our party felt the same way. As for price Cedars is more expensive than Skewers but not by a huge margin. Our server friendly and helpful. I wish our ice teas and waters were refreshed more frequently. I did not get to try their Gyro... something I will be back for when I am in the area. This is not a huge restaurant and on the Friday we went there most every table was full. If dining at Cedars in prime time.. a reservation is a good idea.

Amazing food!!! Small place, but worth the wait if a table isn't available. I was in town for a meeting, and there were two of us that are vegans eating there. The owner/chef came out and talked to us, and we could eat practically everything!! There's this amazing white sauce she puts on everything, and it's made of lemon, olive oil and garlic. We had a delicious, filling meal, that anyone, veg or not, could enjoy! Our meat eating friends also loved it. I'd go here again in a heartbeat!

I *love* this little gem of a restaurant. It's the tastiest, most authentic (errr, I think. I've never been to Greece or any other Mediterranean countries) Greek food I've had. The combination platters are fabulously fresh and delicious. The falafel has tiny bits of crunchiness that really add to the texture; its delicately fried, just enough to give it a beautiful crisp, but it's still light as whipped clouds. The fava bean dip and hummus are fantastic as well. But my favorite is the fluffy rice topped with some mystery ambrosia sauce. I bought a whole bunch of stuff and drove it three hours to visit a friend. After 30 torturous minutes amidst the delicious aromas, I couldn't help it any longer and ripped the bag open as best I could while still maintaining control of the car, and proceeded to scoop the spreads up with my dirty fingers into my mouth. Mmmmmmmmm. I was a little disappointed by the chicken pita and gyro, but that may because I ate them after they'd been refrigerated. Did I mention this place is dirt-cheap? For a New Yorker, anyways. The combo platter has an entree (falafel, gyro, chicken, etc) and two sides for around 6.50$.

Being a recent arrival to FL from the DC area where mediterranean food is plentiful, I worried about where to go for my schwarma fix. No need to worry. Had it for lunch as carry out and was so glad I did b/c I could slobber it down in my car without anybody watching. Can't wait to try dine in, but it was awesome, really great food.

My girlfriends and I went to the restaurant Saturday for girl's night. I must admit I never knew the restaurant existed and it was only five minutes from my house. It is very small but the atmosphere is nice. The murals on the walls give the place a nice touch. I enjoyed the walking wine list. We were able to sample the wines before we made our selection. I loved it. I was hoping for more of a Greek selection, because I was really in the mood for Greek food. The girls and I ordered two of the select three appetizers and were able to try six different items. Everything was delicious. I ordered the lamb skewers with vegetables. It was a great dish. There was a lot on the plate and very filling. I think the vegetables were my favorite. They had a wonderful seasoning. I enjoyed my experiences and would go back to try the rest of their dishes and I will try to save room for dessert too. I can't remember our waiter's name, I think it was Caleb. He was very friendly and helpful.

This place was soooo good! The dolmas were amazing. I didn't quite care for the hummus because it was VERY heavy in garlic and lemon but it was ok. The owner is the cook and her mom is the server (atleast tonight). I just asked her what the best thing was on the menu and I wasn't dissapointed. I had some chicken skewer with a delicious rice topped with pine nuts and some other goodness as well as a really great greek salad and they weren't stingy on the feta. They brought a complimentary piece of baklava for dessert. This was way better than the McDonalds, Wendys or Outback by my hotel. It was a deal at about $15 each and I would definitely go back.

We had a great meal at Cedars Cafe last night (Saturday.) Our party of six included picky eaters ("no spices") but everyone raved about it. I had the Chicken Shish Taouk, 2 skewers of grilled marinated chicken. My buddy had the Lamb version. Both were delicious. This is probably the most welcoming and friendly restaurant I've ever found. None of us were real familiar with Lebanese cooking, and we asked a lot of questions, yet the wait staff gave good descriptions and put us all at ease. We were offered sample sips of various wines in small plastic cups. We had reservations and our table was ready on time. They have only 8-10 tables, and all were taken during the evening, though we never saw a line. I really like that they don't cram the tables together. I'm a big eater, yet even I was surprised at the portion sizes. Plates were piled high with Plenty o' Food. And that basmati rice with some kind of white topping is delicious!. We had and assortment of baklavas for dessert - some were light, some heavier - and all were good. It's an hour from our home in Orlando, but I'm sure we will return soon.

Wife and I went to Cedars Cafe last evening for the first time... ...and we'll definitely be back! Restaurant is in a shopping center, but is intimate [just 8 tables (6x2 & 2x4)]. Food was delicious/different/tasty/delectable! Service was friendly/personal. We ordered the lamb kabob (me) and chicken kabob (her) (menu said each meal includes two kabobs... when ordering, we mentioned we planned to share and viola... each of our plates came from the kitchen with one kabob of each meat! Fatoush was good enough to want 2nds, but serving size was more than plentiful (on all courses... ...doggie bag is heavy!). Garlic sauce on chicken kabob/rice was especially noteworthy. Closing with what I opened with... We'll definitely be back!

tldr version: * Awesome food * Large portions * Great service * Limited seating Ok, that being said; If you haven't paid a visit to this restaurant, I highly recommend that you set aside a time to go. The seating is limited, so plan on getting there early. If you do find yourself there, the hummus is excellent. A small order easily fed our party of 2. Their skewers are amazing, and I even ate the rice - something I normally skip. Service was great. As before, seating is limited. Do not let the shop-sized space fool you. This place could easily open in a larger space with this food. Definitely going back... with friends.

Guess why!

Close to a 5 star. Excellent food and service. The specials are worth it. The only negative I can think of is the size of the place. Very small. But not crowded. Hidden in a strip mall in Melbourne but worth the hunt to find it. Chef is fantastic. Came out and greeted us

The restaurant is small, so I assume that it can get pretty full sometimes, but at lunch it wasn't all that bad and the waiter was very attentive (and has beautiful eyes! ;) )
