Far beyond expectations. Food was delicious! The service was extraordinarily attentive, the ambiance of the restaurant was quaint, vibrant, and inviting, and most importantly every dish was absolutely exquisite. Upon being seated, we were given a warm moist towel that smelled wonderful and a complimentary bonsai salad that was delightful. We ordered hot sake by the recommendation of the friendly waiter, an order of dumplings, a golden snapper salad, a Tom Kha Kai soup, and a hurricane roll. Each I'd highly recommend for taste, however, if you are being weight conscious I'd stick with the soup only. Cost was great for the food and experience. Will definitely come again!

Quickly becoming my go-to place for take out. You could eat three meals out of what they give you for Pad Thai. We also ordered a chicken dish, and didn't realize the standard order was stir fried. My son prefers deep fried and they made it to order at pick up - no fuss. So yummy, hot, and an excellent price for what you get.

Went there for lunch last week. Horrible customer service. All I ordered were the fried dumplings and my fiancé ordered one of the bento boxes. The food was okay but nothing special. I also ordered an ice tea after when we ordered our food. I saw her write it down but I never got the tea. When she handed us our check she even crossed out the ice tea so we didn't pay for it, which was nice, but she didn't ever acknowledge or apologize for forgetting it

Ok, have to start by saying I was skeptical with this place because I'm bias I think anything in a shopping center usually isn't great. Needless to say we were looking for our Thai and sushi fix since (if you've seen my other reviews) we need a new place. This place was not only very convenient the food was awesome! I did Not order sushi, as my number #1 rule I never ever order raw food from a place I've never eaten from before..We decided to give them a try at lunch time, ordered the pad thai noodles and the fried rice with tofu. Both were served with soups to start, very good our meals were served within a few minutes, hot and delicious. They both had great flavor, tasted fresh and the service was spot on...we will be back. This is our new go to Thai place and I will try their sushi the next time....definitely recommend! Last note, we spent only 15 for 2 for lunch and had leftovers for dinner...need I say more?:)

Great Thai food & sushi with excellent service. The kiddos love their "Japanese sprite". Great place!

I'm not a big sushi person, but I tried it and this place was great. We had a TGIF Roll which was really good and the service was fantastic! I would definitely go back.

In the area and the reviews didn't mislead! Great food, nice folks. Would come back here next time for sure. Get the tuna salad appetizer!

I really don't understand anyone giving this place one or two stars, obviously the competition. My wife and i have been going to Bonzai for quite a few years, every year for our anniversary. The food is fresh, prices and portions are reasonable. The staff is friendly and are happy to accommodate. Visit bonzai you will not be disappointed..

I had a craving for sushi and found that Banzai Sushi & Thai had great ratings and reviews on Yelp, so I went there for lunch. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the sushi. The roll were a great size (most places have huge rolls), but the fish and seaweed were extremely gummy and chewy, the fish was bland, and the rolls kept falling apart. Perhaps the other menu items are of a better quality, but if you want good sushi, go somewhere else! This is easily one of the worst sushi meals I've ever had.

I recently started commuting from Orlando to Melbourne for a new job, so Yelp once again is proving to be an incredibly valuable tool in my quest for a delicious lunch. I ordered the hamachi nigiri to start (see photo) -- I love it, and I've found that it often accurately portrays the overall quality of the restaurant. I have to admit I was a little concerned when I saw that 2 pieces cost $3.90 -- The average going rate for 2 pieces in Orlando is around $5.50 or $6, and I've seen as high as $10 (!). Happily, it didn't disappoint! The pieces were above average in size, they were fresh, and the taste was better than average without being too oily. The texture was soft and delicate, exactly how I like it. Shockingly great nigiri for that price! My main plate consisted of the Four Season Roll and salmon maki (see photo). Like the nigiri, the maki was fresh and tasty, but the Four Season Roll really was the shining star on the plate. It was a beautifully presented, very large 8-piece roll split into pairs and covered with four different kinds of masago. I loved it, despite the fact that I probably looked pretty stupid trying to maeuver the large pieces into my mouth. Four slices of starfruit also adorned the plate, which acted nicely as a palate cleanser between pieces. The service was fantastic. My waitress was friendly, smiling, and helpful throughout. I can't wait to come back and try something else on the menu.

My friends and I stumbled on this place while we went to pick up our new car and I was pleasantly surprised. They offer a very extensive menu of not just sushi but Thai dishes and some Chinese ones as well. If they offered dumplings I'd probably be here every week! I got the eel and rice bento box. My friend got the veggie bento box (which was huge!) and my husband got a side of fried rice. Everything was delicious. The sushi was comparable to the ones in Northern California's hot spots, the staff was attentive and upon arrival of our bill we got slices of fresh Watermelon (which was great to beat the heat outside)! If I'm ever in the area, I will definitely be back here. And! They're open all day, none of that break after 2PM stuff!

Great ingredients, cheap prices for lunch specials, good portion sizes. They don't skimp on their chopsticks (as an avid consumer of Asian cuisine I really appreciate this) and their wasabi is delicious and not overpowering. The staff is casual and friendly. Your water will always remain filled. This is more of a local spot, so seating is usually not an issue. I really like how at home I feel there. The only downside (and it's not enough to overcome the positives) is that the sushi is rolled too loose and has a tendency to fall apart, even prior to a dip in soy. But it's freaking delicious.

This place is great! The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and will remember your name after a few times. The sushi is top notch, I have ordered a lot of different things on their menu from a California roll to sashimi and tempura. I've only had great dining experiences here.

Great food and be sure to sit at the bar for better service. They seem to be short on help and always packed.

Its Mothers Day and Im surfing the net on my Droid while Niki enjoys a pedicure at her favorite spa. While I am waiting we are texting back and forth. It is getting later and that afternoon and I know soon the question will arise. What are we going to do for dinner? Of course she gets to pick so I let my fingers do the talking. Her answer was no surprise, sushi. No problem, ok, but which place? We are dressed very casual so its going to have to be a casual spot. I got it! We can go to banzai. It is on our way and we have been many times. Once you enter Banzai you are greeted nicely and promptly directed to a booth or table. Drink orders are fast and refills come without asking. Ordering comes shortly after the drinks arrive. Niki orders an edemame starter with a sea of love roll as the main course. I order about 6 pieces and a spicy tuna roll. After a short wait our meal came on a big boat. I understand that its mothers day anx the want to impress but I prefer my own plating. I wont knock them for that though. The sushi is fresh, visually appealing, and very tasty. The quality here is very consistant and the service is always attentive with cheery smiles. For dessert we ordered the deep fried cheesecake. This was not so great. It was deep fried but still very frozen hard on the inside which made it very hard to enjoy. So when you get that craving for the cuisine of the far east. Give the staff of Banzai a visit and enjoy. Ps. lunch specials are very tasty and priced right.

I've been here 3 times now and ordered 3 different dishes (all from the Thai lunch menu), all of which have been great. When you walk in the servers and sushi chef are always quick with their greeting and get me seated right away. The lunch menu is a great deal, as it comes with a soup starter, main dish, and an egg roll. I've traveled to Thailand before and have had Thai friends cook lots of different dishes for me. While I dont think the Basil stirfry dish was all that authentic, the pad thai was really good. Also, the serving sizes are huge and I always leave feeling way more full than I should.

Another great find thanks to Yelp! We were in the Melbourne area and looking for some good (and cheap) eats. Banzai came up and had some good reviews and it was just down the street. Sushi and Thai! Well, that's the best of both worlds! The sushi selection was great and had lots of layered sushi rolls with more than just three ingredients. I love that. Make them interesting and make them tasty. They also had a great list of sushi in a chart form which made it clear exactly what you were getting. There was make your own sushi too. Well, not make your own but more like design your own. Interesting but we didn't go there. What did we get? Well, Mom got the Pad Thai with chicken and loved it. We had about 6 sushi rolls for the rest of the table including California roll, spider roll, volcano roll, and a few others that I don't even remember the names of. All were great! And I don't think any of the rolls we got were over $10. Nice sizes, great stuff. We also had a Thai spring roll and Thai donuts and they were yummy too. Oh, and Thai iced tea.... double yum!! So we didn't go wrong with anything we got. And we'll be back. Don't be deceived by the location next to Publix in a strip mall. It just makes the parking even easier.!

My parents are big fans of sushi and they have taken me here a few times. Each time the service is excellent and the rolls are fresh. I love the hot towel service too! My favorite thing at Bonzai is the hot tea and the hot and sour soup. Get it! It is amazing! YUM

Living in Melbourne, I've come to realize how lucky we are to have some amazing sushi restaurants. And this is one of them. If your a local and a fan of cold saki, you most certainly should get yourself a saki box. Oh, and try the roll specials... Amazing!

The worst food since I have ever had. The Tomyum soup was salty and smelly. The salmon nigiri was sticky and I just had one bite and almost threw out. My husband orderd Thai salad, it was horrible. Then we tried spicy basil but it was very disappointing and I just tried one piece. The bill was 50 dollars but I think it wasn't worthy at all. I really don't understand how the good review come from. I'll never never go back.
