Family meal while we were stranded in Marianna, FL waiting for our car to be fixed. We started with the redneck egg rolls. A hit round the table. It was a good size appetizer and could even be a meal for one. It was filled with strands of pulled pork and creamy coleslaw that culminated in a smoky, cheesy and slightly spicy delight that definitely had us licking our lips in anticipation of our entrees. Our oldest and I both ordered the pulled pork sandwich, though I opted for a topping of coleslaw to brighten up the luscious fatty goodness I hoped was on that sandwich. My husband ordered a giant of a sandwich in the Pitmaster. Luna rarely eats an entire meal, but she wolfed it down no problem. Me too. It was good. Smoky, tender meat that tasted like it had been smoked into submission on garlic bread that stood up to the ingredients. The pit master looked tasty, I didn't have a chance to try it. I think I took a bit of mine, sipped a lil sweet tea, looked up and he was done. The only down side was the service. Very mediocre. We had asked for very small things from our waitress, yet they seemed to really bother her. Like a to go container, and if she could cut the corn on the cob in half so our 16mth old could eat it. The only time she acted really friendly was when she handed us the check... hum, by then it's a bit late to pretend you like us.

Service was excellent! Our cups were never empty and the waitress was helpful in explaining the menu. I ordered the brisket with baked beans and coleslaw with a side of cornbread. The brisket wasn't as moist as the Texan BBQ I'm used to, but paired with the sauce it was bearable. The beans were quite sweet but the coleslaw was excellent. Ordering cornbread from a different place for the first time is always a huge gamble, but their cornbread was tasty and kind of gritty (in a good way). The rest of my table really enjoyed the variety of the salad bar and my cousin liked her burger. Unfortunately, her fries looked like they came from frozen packaging. Overall, it was an okay place.

My spouse and I went to Sonny's tonight thinking we could get a burger with bacon and BBQ on top which they had. So I was excited we also ordered crinkle cut fries, broccoli and a side of onion rings.. The rings were crispy and hot but didn't really taste like an onion. The only sauce they could offer (other than ketchup ) was ranch dressing. They may have been made from onion bits not sure.. But didn't really taste like onion rings.. The burger was very dry and burnt on one side.. The meat tasted old.. The broccoli was good .. Hard to mess that one up.. I decided if I want a good BBQ burger I will go to Buffalo Wild Wings in pier park.. They get it right..

I haven't been to a Sonny's in years and never in Marianna Florida (where?) Well this Sonny's BBQ rates up there with BubbaQue's in Gainsville or Arthur Bryant's in Kansas City, especially the sliced beef! Yes, it was that good. Everything was cooked perfectly. Are server Spencer, she was a little dolly. Very attentive, great service! There were items that they didn't have, but they filled the bill. Good food, great service!

Service sucks to the max. Waited, waited and waited. And it was only 30% filled. So we just left and ate elsewhere.

PURE LOVE!!! I live in Washington State and had visited Chattahoochee a few weeks back, when I fell in love! This is by far the BEST BBQ I've ever had. Everything was amazing, true BBQ. I only wish there was one in Washington :) I love the different sauce, very unique. The pulled pork melts in your mouth. ugh my stomach is growling :(

I was in the Marianna, Florida area and it was time for lunch. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to waste. My associate chose Sonny's BBQ and that was settled. We entered and were immediately seated. Our waitress was nice, friendly and expedient. Our food came out soon after we ordered. The portions seemed small. It was just okay. Nothing to brag about here so far as the food goes. You can find much better BBQ anywhere. It is reasonably priced and you can eat and run.

Great service and cute lady's! The only thing was I ordered their all you can eat ribs and never reordered but they didn't change it to a single plate. Other than that everything was brought out at a good time and the food was pretty good!

Only an idiot from up north would think that this is "real Southern" BBQ. Their food is good, edible, and clean but, southerners know that you best find a mom&pop roadside BBQ diner and get ya a real plate of goods before you head back across the mason dixon line. These BBQ chain's are a joke and insult to born and bred southerners that know what real smoked BBQ is. Tip: If your from up north and must eat this BBQ, get a samwich to go then head through the Po Folks drive thru for your greens, grits, and a gallon of regular sweet tea. You do that and you'll be about 7/10ths of the way there bubba.

Totally underwhelmed by this place. Especially after cycling through Texas and eating BBQ throughout that state, what we got here cannot even compare because of its inferiority. I do not expect much from chained restaurants but even then I thought they could have produced better food here. The turkey looked like it was from a deli down the road, the chicken was decent, and the pork was ok. Corn bread was soggy, the beans bland, and the coleslaw soggy with mayo. Overall I would not go back here since there are plenty of other places around this restaurant.

Stopped at the Marianna,Fl location across from the Super Wally.I ordered a pulled pork plate and wife had pulled chicken. Now I've tried pulled pork from Memphis to good ole Texas BBQ and I like check out everybody's pulled pork.along the way. Sonny's was a little over chopped and a small portion.more sides than meat. Next time you are in Spring,Texas try Pit Masters.BBQ..their pulled pork will make you squeal like a pig! Overall the service was great, my waitress was a tiny Redhead with great personality that made the day. The peach cobbler was to die for as was the sweet and spicy sauce..

I love this place! I had the all-you-can eat chicken, and they give you a huge portion, like half a chicken. Then it's pretty much all you can eat - the waitresses kept asking me if I wanted more chicken. 5 different kinds of BBQ sauce. And they played the latest hit country songs on the radio. Can't beat that. Great place. Can't wait to go back there.

Please skip...food okay, certainly not the best, but passable for chain food...the service was incredible poor, both of the wait staff we encountered were RUDE. They were slow, and inconsiderate. They acted as if we were not welcome, and it was a burden to serve us. We were at the end of a 3 week vacation and this was by far the worst place we ate.

Best southern BBQ in the USA! I recommend the baby back ribs, ribs and roast beef. Can't wait to go back to Florida jut to eat at Sonnys. Their sweet tea is also pretty darn good. Recommended.
