I come to Rooster for jumbo, medium hot garlic wings. The service is prompt and friendly. The decor modern. This restaurant has Buffalo Wild Wings beat, hands down. I only wish they would make poutine (french fries, Garvey with cheese curds).

Best wings in Broward county. Been coming here since there were in North Lauderdale. Always good and consistent. Service is always good as well and good atmosphere. I do recommend.

My absolutely favorite place for wings and French onion soup!! I have been a customer for years since they were on south gate always busy and always very welcoming when there. They have a full liquor bar drinks and food are reasonably priced!

I've been here many times and the food is very good. Unfortunately the last time I was here and I sat outside, I was completely ignored by staff for over 45 minutes. I flagged down a waitress who apologized...but honestly, she had walked past me 10+ times and I didn't accept her apology. Don't have an outdoor section if your staff pretends it doesn't exist.

Our go to place for chicken wings hands down. There Mac and cheese is terrible they boil the pasta while pipping hot they throw two kinds of cheese in the pot an stir. That's it it's a hot mess stay away from that till they fix it

With all the great food spots in South Florida, it's hard to stand out. Yet Roosters knows their nitch and hits it out of the park. Fried pickles- Some of the best I've had outside of New Orleans. Steak & Philly- pretty good, I'd give it a 7/10 Garlic Wings- This is where they really shine. They do them just right, try ordering them wet with extra garlic, they are awesome. Cheese & bacon Tater tots- yea buddy, these things are rocking, real cheese, not that cheep processed crap. If your looking for a down and dirty greasy spoon, look no further.

Love the chicken thumbs, have been eating them ever since I can remember! My hubby likes bbq while I prefer the classic buffalo. Neither of us cared too much for the teriyaki ones. My second favorite is the pork rib dinner with a side of baked beans. The new flatbreads and pretzels are pretty good too.

My husband and I got food poisoning from eating their chicken wings yesterday and have been up all night sick! I wouldn't eating here!

Never had a bad meal at Roosters and today was no exception! I decided to give the chicken quesadilla a try and it was excellent! The fried pickles were great. The service is always excellent.

I didn't want to even give one star but it would let me proceed if I didn't. This is not a place I will be returning to! If u want to pay a lot of money for frozen food this is the place for YOU. I got the chicken fried steak and let me tell you it tasted HORRIBLE! All though their facility was nice and clean they probably need to teach the cook a few things around the kitchen. Three of us in my party all got the CFS and all said the same thing of how AWEFUL it was but they did not take it off the bill they just offered us something else, which made us scared to eat anything else. I would probably think twice before I went there. Learn from my mistake DON'T DO IT.....

I ordered from here take out for the first time and I was kinda disappointed on the food. The fries and pickles were cold and they had a burnt oil smell to it. The wings were okay. We also order a pulled pork sandwich and when I open it it looked disgusting. Just a hamburger bread with some weird looking pork on it. It didn't looked like pulled pork at all it look like chili past with blended meat into it. I highly doubt I will come back wish kinda of sucks because I live a block away from this place. Sorry but they need to improve in quality and presentation.

My husband and I were looking for a fun spot for Sunday Football and decided to go to Roosters. With the NFL ticket, everyone's favorite game is on. They have a great happy hour (everyday from 3 to 6) and an awesome selection of craft beer. We were hungry and decided on the 1/2 pound Angus Burgers with cheese and a side of sweet potato fries. The burgers were juicy and delicious and the rolls had the perfect crunch! Yum! The food, drinks and service were all excellent. We will definitely be back again!

I got bbq wings with a side of broccoli. It was delicious. I'm usually not a big wing guy...but these were so good I came back the next night and ordered the same meal. My wife got a grilled caesar wrap and thought it was really good. The waitress was super friendly and the meal wasn't expensive either.

This was a Yelp led visit. My husband had the chili burger and I the Chili over pasta. Doing the Cincinnati thing. Would not go that route again on either. Mother in Law had the cobb salad and it was not only fresh, gorgeous and delicious. Other's seemed to really be enjoying the wings. Bar area get's a bit loud of obscenities when you have the little one's dining with you in the booths.

oh my gawd where do they find these chickens with thumbs? if making chicken this way was all we accomplished as a species, I could deal with it lol seriously though we are talking about awesome sports bar food here, and there may be other places that are as good, but I would question anyone who claims to be better than roosters when it comes to buffalo thumbs

My family and I decided to have Father's Day lunch. We ordered wings, fries, mozzarella sticks and one kids Mac and cheese. I have a 3 and 4 yr old, I know roosters portions are pretty decent. To my surprise two Mac and cheese came out way after the rest of the food.. I told the waitress we only ordered one Mac and cheese. So she said no problem I will take one off.. She came back 2 minutes later after my daughter had already took a few bites and says if you want me to take one off I need to take one away.. So she did. I thought one what poor management to tell her to do such a thing, she must of felt so stupid to do that and also since we waited so long for the Mac and cheese and two what are they going to do with it.. Reuse it? The whole taking it away from my daughter after she ate it and just not deducting it from the bill was just disgusting.

I was always a big fan until last night. Ordered a large beef and tamale. What a disappointment. Smallest tamale I have ever seen and the beef had 2 slices of beef I can not imagine what a regular beef has 1 slice. Talked to manager who could have cared less and said owner regulates how many slices and that is it 2 slices. Take it or leave it we have customers who love us no matter what. Horrible customer service, horrible product.

Nope. Thought I would give it a try, Roosters has been around a long time. Tiny chicken wings (sauce was good), soup (baked potato soup)was clearly not homemade, tasted gummy, with an uncooked flour taste -That was sent back. Bang bang shrimp was the best item we ordered, but still just fair.

    (1)
  • Jai M.

Five stars because the chicken thumbs are the best I've ever had, and I consider myself a chicken wing connoisseur! The sauce is tasty. Can't bring myself to order anything else. Price/value isn't that great, compared to local competing chain restaurants though

Great place for wings and just about everything else! Fast and friendly service, usually visit at lunch. Sometimes it does get crowded. Outside seating available. Highly recommend the wings or the pork chop sandwich. Portions are large, so keep that in mind!

  • Claudia R.

This is the standard by which I judge all other wings, and most have fallen short - they are just that good here. They make a really good philly cheesesteak, too. My bestie and I went had lunch here during our high school reunion weekend, and the food is just as good now as it was back in the day. This time around we both had the medium chicken thumbs (better than a plain old chicken finger - TRUST) and curly fries (fried potato perfection) with a an ice cold beer...a perfect South FL lunch.

  • Kristin C.

Nothing was spectacular about the food, but it wasn't bad either. I had the cheesy chicken noodle which was chock full of vegetables like the waitress said :). It just didn't have a taste that jumped out at you. I also had the chili which was unmemorable. I was a little irritated that cheddar on the chili was advertised as an extra $0.79. Seemed a little stupid for a sprinkling on a cup of soup. The service was pleasant. Would we go back? Maybe but only out of necessity or convenience.

Had lunch on 4/21/13. I had the Buffalo Thumbs salad. The thumbs were overly crusted with dry chicken wings inside. No taste beyond the un-tasty hot sauce. The salad lettuce was only passable. The blue cheese dressing was not worth the extra charge. My wife has the fish and chips. She found the fish overcooked and dry. The fries were okay, but the serving size was excessive and didn't make up for the poor quality of the fish. The cole slaw was the best part of the meal. We both ordered a glass of Sterling Chardonnay on their menu. We were told that they were out, and we were offered another wine that the waitress said they were trying to get ride of at an $1 discount. These were listed as house wines, which I expected at $5 to$7 per glass considering their quality. We understood why they were trying to get rid of the wine when we tasted it. What was disturbing was the $10 charge per glass for this swill. T he service was average. The food will keep us from going back.

My dad and I went there today cz him and my boyfriend went a few months ago. One it's amazing. Everything was super clean and well kept. The menu is pretty simple. We wanted to watch sports which we did but there was only three TVs inside the restaurant. There wasn't really any games on right at the time we went but it made me think on if it was game day with a bunch of games on how can they watch different games?? Good question lol. The bartender was super nice we ordered beers. They were served in frozen glasses amazing ice cold beer. The tator tots are to die for, wait the loaded ones with cheese and bacon. Don't forget to ask for a side of ranch super delicious. Homemade potato soup on Saturday is great too. The only thing was there was entirely too much cheese but still fresh and hot!! It was an awesome experience. Thank you. Great job roosters!

Their tenderloin- there is no substitute. It is a great big flattened loin made to order on a bun. The portions are huge. Bring an appetite or grab a to-go bag/box.

After having a rough experience (other review) at competitors wing spot we needed a quick back up plan. Called 13 mins before closing (I hate doing that but it was a wing emergency!) the staff at Roosters could not have been nicer! Not to mention the wings are huge! Large order is 18 and giant order of fries. Very happy, especially since it was back up. This will be our new Sunday night wing spot!

My fiancé and I had heard about roosters from the locals in Margate. We heard that they had the best wings in town. So far, and coral Springs, we have basically only tried wings plus or wing zone. And none of those were any good. We were very excited to give roosters a try. We went here on a Saturday night around 630 in the evening. There were probably about three or four other tables of people here, but it was still kind of empty. We were set at a booth, and we got the corn nuggets for an appetizer. I think it was around four dollars, and they were absolutely delicious. I plan on getting them every time I come here. There were over a dozen little Nuggets covered in powdered sugar. They were so crispy and delicious. For the meal, my fiancé got the fried clam strips, which was nine dollars and came in a basket with curly fries. The clam strips were very generous and the size of them I was impressed with. The sauce they came with was phenomenal, I think it had fresh horseradish in it. I ended up getting a small basket of medium buffalo breaded wings. It didn't come with fries, but it came with celery and really thick blue cheese. The sauce was pretty good. But it is the way that the wings held up that really impressed me. Whenever I get wings, they usually end up being soggy after a few moments. But these wings were perfectly crispy through and through, and stayed that way even when I brought home the left Overs later that night For dessert, we decided to take home a peanut butter pie. It is a little pricey at six dollars, but it is a homemade individual little pie, and it was absolutely worth the money. It is very filling, it has with peanut butter in the middle and it's covered with a fudge topping. We are very glad we went to roosters, and we plan on going back as regulars. Phenomenal wings.

WORSE PLACE TO ORDER LUNCH DELIVERY EVER!!!!!! THEY CHARGE A $2.00 FEE PER ORDER!!!! & not the total order, I mean per order as in if you order a lunch special, side and drink you will be charged $2.00 per item thus your total for your lunch delivery will be $6.00!!! Long story short, my company orders lunch out almost every day and this is unheard of & a total robbery!!! We had 6 orders and it was all going to one place and they wanted to charge us $12 dollars for delivery! The best part is the person who took our order didn't even give us a heads up, only after all our cards were charged. what a scam!!! This place really needs to reconsider their policy! They have lost a lot of business with us & you bet we will be telling everyone we know to never give them business again!!!

Went to Rooster's for the first time... I love good wings & have heard about this place for years. Our order was for takeout. I ordered extra sauce. When I order from Wings Plus in Coral Springs, half the time the wings are dry even if I order them extra hot, and there is no sauce to dip fries in, let alone dip wings in. Not at Rooster's! WOW! The wings were swimming in it! There was no need for me to add any of my own, because these were both HOT and WET! The fries were good, and I was really pleased! I will need to come back and try the rest of the menu, but I have just found my new favorite wing joint... :)

While the wings are pretty good, the service is HORRIBLE! We went to eat today at Roosters, after seeing the "Mother's Day Special" they were advertising. Along with the food, the advertisement boasted a "10 dollar gift certificate to come back and use with a $35 dollar purchase". There were two families in our party, we occupied two tables and got two separate bills. When we paid, we were given only one gift certificate. We asked for the other, and were told it was one gift certificate per table. Not only did we have 2 tables and 2 separate bills, which would make the claim of "one per table" invalid, but no where on the advertisement does it even state such a thing. I asked to speak to a manager, and she was unwilling to honor what was being advertised. This is not the first time that the service has been lacking in this restaurant, we have had many other situations. Always giving the benefit of the doubt, we return and we leave there disappointed with crappy service almost every time. We will NEVER be going back to Roosters!!!! The management is rude and costumer service, it seems, is the last thing they care about. They falsely advertise specials, and then refuse to comply when called on the carpet. It feels like the owner doesn't care about the service reputation of his restaurant, as he himself has never tried to make right any of the legitimate complaints of his customers. Considering the plethora of restaurants in this area, we will be giving our money to a place that values the customer. I will tell anyone who will listen consider another place for their wings. Service is EVERYTHING, and ROOSTERS has FAILED in that department!!!!

Very yummy wings! Best in south Florida!

  • Christopher F.

New location same great wings. Had their wings medium hot with garlic added, the wings came out perfectly crispy and similar to how they were originally intended to be when invented in buffalo, a nice vinegar/wet sauce. The blue cheese is made fresh and each dip has chunks of blue cheese in each bite. Also had the onion bail which was great!

My family went there Friday 5/24/13 and everything was great! The service, the food, the atmosphere.. outstanding. They live in North Lauderdale and I moved away 15 years ago and was back this week for vacation and I could not go home and not go to roosters! Highly recommend Roosters!

It is a nice place to visit for lunch or dinner. I have been there many times. Nothing exciting, but good decent food and service. They make a tenderloin sandwich which is huge and tasty. I keep going back.

Horrible service. Came here for my hour lunch break. Took like 10 minutes for the girl to even come over to me. Sign says "seat yourself." Then I say to the Natasha "sorry I now need to order to go." She kinda gave me a rude look. She took my order and didnt even ask if I wanted anything to drink. Sure I was ordering to go but I WOULD HAVE STILL TIPPED YOU!!!!!! Not now... Forget it. Honestly I don't even want the food! Sad how that works. The food could be amazing but the service is horrible :( so I ordered lunch special 8 wings and fries for $6.99. I wanted gravy and cheese and well yeah $1.29 for gravy and $1.29 for cheese. Ugh. Not a lot of wing flavor selection either!!! :(

To go order was terrible. We picked it up and when we got home found out they gave us a roast beef sandwich when we ordered an Italian sub. We also ordered the chicken thumbs with blue cheese and there was no blue cheese. When we called them they wouldn't send a driver to deliver the correct items and we had to go back to the restaurant. When we got to the restaurant the manager, Jamie said it is their policy not to send out the driver because they are not getting paid and we ordered the sub wrong. When we asked for the owner, who was there, she refused to get him stating he doesn't get involved in these things...REALLY? What did we get for the inconvenience....attitude. Not even an apology or credit for the incorrect sub. We have been going there for several years, so much for treating your customers right. If you want good wings and good service, go to Wings Plus right down the street.

This place didn't move me. There was nothing special WHATSOEVER. There is nothing that makes you think: "Gee I want to try that". It is wings etcetera. The food is greasy and plain. The service is fair. It all funnels into the Three Star category.

I was on Yahoo and I saw a segment about the best sandwiches in the U.S. and they mentioned a Pork Tenderloin sandwich that is a favorite in Iowa and Indiana. It looked good and so I Googled to see if I could buy one in South Florida and a review of the one Roosters makes came up. So I ordered one to try it. Let me tell you, it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The tenderloin was HUGE (about three times the size of the bun). It was covered with mozzarella, heaped with lettuce, fresh tomatoes and mayonnaise, and a side of sweet pickle relish. Roosters has always done a solid job with wings and fries but I can't believe I have never had a sandwich like this before. It is my new favorite "go to". Worth the drive from anywhere in South Florida

A must every time I'm in town. Love it here. This was my first visit to the new location. It's cute and clean. I was a little apprehensive about going. Sometimes when a restaurant moves, the food suffers. Not the case here. The wings are still cooked perfectly and perfectly sauced. The bleu cheese dressing, fantastic. Rooster's fries are consistently hot and crispy. Hands down the best thing on the menu is cheese steak. Order it with mushrooms and onions only people, no peppers. It is sandwich perfection. You'll eat until it hurts. Service is very good and they have a full bar.

Really love the wings here. Havn't had too much else on the menu, but the wings here are really top notch. Try the medium-hot flavor. Price is average compared to other wing joints.

I'm from Indiana and was complaining to co-workers that I was going to have to drive 1100 miles to get a breaded tenderloin sandwich. One of them hopped on line and found this place. I was skeptical but rounded up a posse to try it out. We all got the tenderloin sandwich. I felt like I was back home in Indiana! It was delicious!! Everyone loved them! Perfect!

Roosters is a great place to hangout. It has been around for over 20 years. They have recently moved to their new location. The food is good comfort food, with a few specialty items. My favorite is the Philly Cheese Steak, all the way, of course. It is gooey, and the bread has enough crust to hold the sandwich. The curly fries are some of the best, however you'll need to order the onion loaf, instead. The wings are good, wraps are a favorite for a lighter meal. There are many TVs and you can request to watch your favorite game. They have great take home, too.

Place is a little small ... I was expecting a big time wing joint but it really isn't.... Most people ordered other items , when I was there I was the only one eating wings... they were fine but I still think Hooters are better... I will say the soup was great ! I had the broccoli & cheese soup which was great and served in a huge bowl ! Prices were a little higher than I had hoped for...

  • Steve S.

this place is really just a sports bar but with better than average food, along with some midwestern standouts that you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere in the area. not only are the wings awesome, and they serve the indiana classic - a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. but i really come here for the italian beef sandwiches, a chicago staple. they are authentic and delicious. i think they use the il primo brand of giardiniera peppers, which are fantastic. i haven't been here in a while, but i hope they still serve them when i go back soon.

This place has been around for ages, and there is a reason for it. By far the best buffalo wings you will ever have. Chicken thumbs and their cheesesteak is to die for as well. And if you are lucky enough to catch a night with peanut butter pie... food heaven has occured!!!

I'm a big wing fan and Rooster's might be my new favorite spot. I heard about this place via a few friends and decided to try it out. Let me tell you I was no disappointed! I always order teriyaki wings no matter where I go.. and Rooster's might be one of the best I have ever had. First off, the wings are good size and meaty, they are cooked just right and covered in sauce. The teriyaki sauce is sweet and tasty. Price was on spot for the amount of food you get. The fries were decent but nothing spectacular.

NEVER AGAIN!!! I took my mom for an early dinner last Friday night. She was starving and this is very close to her home. The empty tables should've been a clue. We ordered and waited over 25 minutes for our order (Really? There were only 3 occupied tables...after 15 mins. I got up to check). OH where do I begin...I ordered chicken wings with a side of garlic bread. The wings were nothing special...they were spicier than the mild I ordered should've been but I can take a little heat. The side of garlic bread was hard and cold, partially burned and minus any garlic. My mom had the grilled chicken with corn on the cob and sweet potato fries. The chicken was overcooked and dry, the corn was undercooked...hard, cold and not sweet at all (I didn't think it was possible to mess up corn on the cob...smh). The only decent thing were the sweet potato fries which though they came out cold, were soft and tasty. At one point I seriously thought we were on "What would you do?" or some other Candid Camera type show...this had to be a joke?!?! I eat out a lot...and I mean A LOT and have never had a meal just soooo wrong. I don't like sending food back especially the first time in a place so we just ate what we could and left. Next time I will go the extra distance and drive to Wings N Things (the absolute BEST WINGS + CURLY FRIES!) in Pompano (my family's and lots of friends' fave place) been going there for years and never been disappointed. Hope this is helpful! Buen Provecho...but NOT at this place!
