Food was good, authentic Mexican, but a bit pricy for the amount of bang-for-your-buck. I had one of the combo plates- 2 tacos, an Enchilada, and a tostada for $7.50 and the kiddo had a quesadilla with rice and beans for $3.50. The kiddo's portion size was spot on for the money, but mine seemed a bit small. Service was good and friendly, would probably go again!
It's a great restaurant staff always friendly and the food is always fresh. 10 added touch its your owner or manager always walked around and greet everyone
O'neal's is just what you expect from a local home style country buffet. The outdated Formica tables and booths, the terrazzo concrete floor, waitress with southern charm and an endless restocking from the kitchen of the buffet. There is always fried chicken with the selection on other days varying from fried pork chops, liver & onions, country fried steak, chicken wings, fried pork ribs. The variety of sides also vary every day, but generally you will find mashed potatoes, farm peas and some type of greens every day. Cornbread and biscuits included on the buffet as well. In addition to the buffet there is a salad bar and dessert bar. Ice cream is available on request with sweet tea, lemonade or water included in the price of the buffet, currently $9.00 for lunch.
Depending on where you are from or what demographic this is Country Cookin', Grandma's Cooking, or Soul Food! Maybe a combo of all three so you really can't go wrong. Went here on the recommendation of a customer I was with and the food was perfect all the way around! The fried chicken was fresh (in other words the chicken wasn't frozen before it was fried) large selections of veggies, fried foods, sweet tea and dessert! I also had the chicken fingers, rice, lima beans, green beans and various other items topped of with a southern staple of banana pudding. All the way around a great experience to this little mom and pop, small town place. Pretty much everyone knew everyone there. It's definitely a HOLE in the WALL
My husband and I were driving from Panama city beach to Orlando and found this place on yelp. It was some of the best food I've ever had. The fried chicken was beyond amazing. Also the sweet potato casserole, cabbage, corn bread and mashed potatoes were really good. Great stop.
Good food, friendly waitress and did I already say good food? Well, it was. Recommend.
Ken's is once again under the management of the Ken Banister Family that started this local north Florida chain (4 places between Lake City and Madison) of BBQ restaurants after several years of management by another individual. Ken's BBQ here in Madison is still the same quality that I came to expect and judge other restaurants to since first eating here when I was in high school. The atmosphere is southern BBQ chic, with wooden tables, farm implements and pictures on the walls. The been and the pork BBQ is sliced rather than pulled and is served clean with no sauce. You are welcome to add any of their three BBQ sauces to your taste. The few times I've had ribs they were fall off the bone moist and tender. The chicken comes out moist and juicy. They also have a daily special that can be BBQ, hamburger steak, NY Strip steak or whatever has amused the chef that day.
BBQ restaurant, its a chain restaurant with I. This region. Always great service and friendly staff. The book us always hot and a full plate of food
I'm going to start off saying I'm not sure why people didn't give this place 5 stars. We recently stayed here for a weekend and we had an amazing time. Everyone was so accommodating and nice, and if I can, I want to give a shout out to ranger Tommy! Such a sweet guy! This place has lots of things to do, which we couldn't do all in the time we stayed. Water park, lazy river, ballon toss, bon fires, golf, movie theater, train rides, fishing, canoeing..the list goes on. There are daily activities that are printed out on paper for the campers. Now about the cabin. I didn't see one bug in OUR cabin. There were flies and mosquitoes outside yes but really?! It's Florida! If you aren't a native get over it. We had 5 people in our family and stayed in a duplex cabin. There was more than enough room, refrigerator and sink. We chose the cabin with a bathroom which is nothing more than a toilet and a shower. Bring your own everything, plates, cups, sheets, silverware, table cloths, food, bbq items and you will be set. This is definitely a place I will go back to! The only thing that was a downside was a little crack in our window..I thought "oh no, bugs will be coming in while we are sleeping" but not one bug...we did see a baby frog pass through our cabin and hopped over to the next cabin..the kids thought it was hilarious! Thank you Yogi Bear camp resort! We had great family time and fun!
Was sad we didn't see BooBoo or anything took our grandson for a week he watched the movie over and over on the way there purchased a boo boo bit was sad he didn't see BooBoo anywhere we did see Yogi twice only in the pavilion. Internet review forget it horrible time with getting that to work used up a few gig of my own to share pics with his parents of the experience he was having. Rave to Raymond was always so polite and helpful also I wish I knew her name a lifeguard who takes and cares seriously about her job she's the kind of girl who was going above and beyond even my husband said she loves her job when she wasn't doing one thing she was picking up trash and making sure things were super clean
We were traveling home from the Florida Keys and need a place for the night. This place was wonderful. They have pull through sites and when I needed ice for the night, they carried me back to my camp site. The park was very clean and even though it is next to I 10 we did not hear a lot of road noise. I would recommend this campground to everyone. The staff was very helpful and so nice.
What more can you ask for Wendy's Dairy Queen and Subway all in one spot, I think place when you're on the drive going out of town especially because they have a nice gas station and a gift shop inside to. Wendy's hit the spot right on especially when you're hungry their burgers or chicken and french fries everything is great, don't forget to leave room for dessert because Dairy Queen blizzards are the best, I always love the strawberry cheese quake.
I was really looking forward to a spicy chicken sandwhich at Wendy's for lunch. Before lunch I decided to use the restroom and wash up. While I was in the ladies room a Wendy's employee walked out of one of the stalls and exited the restroom. Gross!!!!! To say the least, we opted for Subway which is healthier and the employee wear gloves!!! 5 stars for subway and if I could of given zero I would of for Wendy's. Our Subway sandwiches were delicious!!! Best part was they weren't contaminated by employee's that don't wash their hands. 5 stars for subway!
It's a great added additional to the Madison community. The combination of stores gift shop and gas station is an added bonus
