A very friendly staff and clean restaurant. I had a good view of the Gulf from my table. It's hard to go wrong with a Subway, and this Subway was above the norm.

Three of us went here for dinner on the strength of Yelp reviews, and they did not disappoint. The food was outstanding, especially the fish entrees. The server, an older woman possibly also the owner, was absolutely charming. She noted that everything was homemade, and you could tell by how good the food was. The restaurant itself doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is super cute. We were there for a casual business dinner, but I would definitely consider this place for a date, as it is intimate and uncrowded.
Oh, my Goodness!!! My meal at the Gulf Bistro was exceptional. I read an article in the Tampa Tribune that listed 12 restaurants to visit during 2015 and I decided to try one tonight. I chose the Gulf Bistro and it was, as they say at the Trop, a Grand Slam! I started with the lobster bisque which was superb. I added a bit of pepper and the lobster bits stood out as a hint of texture throughout the creamy delight. The escargots en cocote was pretty good, due mainly to the wonderful tenderness of the snails, but I would have enjoyed more garlic to give the heavy cream sauce some zip. The salad was next and I did like the home made house vinegiarette dressing. The main course was the bouillabaisse and it was a treat. The soup had just enough flavor to compliment the tender shellfish and grouper and the portion offered plenty to enjoy. A glass of a nice house cabernet accompanied my meal. The grand finale was a Cup Margaux, which was a large scoop of vanilla ice cream adorned with caramel sauce, fresh whipped cream and toasted almonds, served in a chilled dish. Perfection! Outstanding service by Marie, who owns the restaurant with her husband Frederic. My compliments to the chef! Like the Terminator, I'll be back.
This place is phenomenal. Superb! As good as anything I've had in France, Quebec, New York and Chicago. Come for the food. Come back for the food. Owned by a husband/wife team from France. Loaded with natives, from Quebec Canada. It's a small place tucked in the corner of a two store front strip mall. Blink and you will miss it. It's tiny and quaint, decorated with a mix match of table cloths, chairs and tables. We had a phenomenal meal there. My daughter inhaled their mussels appetizer in a lemon sauce. I had the grouper and mussel special. The best grouper dish I have had in Florida. For being the state fish, most places don't serve it right because they make the filets too thin. This was a generous filet, flaked to perfection. My husband had the duck confit in an orange sauce. O.M.G. it was great. They take reservations and were barely able to accommodate us; point noted for the next time. Not really a place for kids unless your kids eat off the adult menu which mine do. Marie was all over my 8yo and commented that they don't see many children at the restaurant and loved that she ordered the mussels. She was so sweet! I honestly could not make up my mind and plan on going back soon. I chose the grouper special hoping that someone finally made grouper well and this preparation was amazing. If you crave French, if you love French, if you've never had French and want to try it, this is the place for everyone!

I am a sushi snob and I've tried every sushi restaurant within 20 miles and this is by far the best. I don't go anywhere else now that I've found the best sushi and the best service. It is worth the extra drive but if you live close they deliver, too! FABULOUS!!!
Polite owners. Great atmosphere. Very yummy sushi and ginger salad dressing! You won't be disappointed.
STOP! Read no further. Heed advice: DO NOT GO HERE. The food is outrageously priced and NOT worth the money. The customer service, staff, is argumentative and unreasonable. You'll regret any interaction with Pam. Move along. Go to ANY other restaurant in the area. You've been warned. Bad food served by bad people. NO THANKS!

The first time I went to this ice cream shop, my boyfriend and I walked all the way from Redington Shores. He complained the couple miles but took it back the second he tried the Pecan Praline. He said it was the best ice cream he had ever had, and I completely agree. This most recent trip, we decided to drive, and we went twice in 4 days. The girl behind the counter recognized us and remembered what we had ordered the last time. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly. It is a little pricey, but the scoops are beyond generous. The pecan praline is amazing, but my personal favorite is the almond joy. The coconut ice cream base is somehow both creamy and light at the same time. We also tried the chocolate peanut butter cup and chocolate almond. Both were also delicious and very rich in the best way. I know this place is a few blocks from the beach, but it is more than worth the little walk (even a couple mile walk). Couldn't recommend it more!
This place is unbelievably overpriced. The ice cream is good, but not at all worth what they are trying to gouge you for.
We had a fun morning at the beach followed by an awful lunch at a so-called steak house. We were looking for something that was guaranteed to be delicious to heal our wounds before heading home. That was when I remembered that I had bookmarked the Amish Creamery. It wasn't really close to where we were, but we decided to make the drive anyhow. I was so happy that we did. Delicious homemade ice cream in fun flavors, jars of jellys and jams. Baked goods lining the counter. Refrigerators full of more pints and gallons of ice creams. Yes...this was a very good call. I ordered half Peanut Butter Cup and half Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream and my Husband ordered his treat (I was so distracted by mine that I am not even sure what he had). Then, we browsed the little shop while we ate our dessert. The Peanut Butter Cup was the best that I have ever had. It was packed full of tiny peanut butter cups and had a nice, rich flavor. However, the Strawberry Cheesecake was my absolute favorite. It had chunks of strawberries and chunks of actual cheesecake in it. The strawberries tasted fresh and weren't hard and frozen like fruit sometimes gets in ice cream. It was perfect. We also picked up a jar of homemade apple butter and peanut butter marshmallow spread while we were here....Yes.. PEANUT BUTTER MARSHMALLOW SPREAD. Amazing. The next time a beach restaurant lets me down, I know exactly where to go. We may even skip the food next time and head straight to the Amish Creamery.

Great beer selection, that's really all there is to it! The staff is cool and refreshingly NOT over-friendly. No food, but you can order in. They've also got a ton of retro signs hung up and available for sale for like twelve bucks or something. Easy place to mingle or be left alone Prices average for the area Bottom line, if your old lady is dragging you around to shops, this is a great place to park with her bags and chill out.
These place is simply phenomenal. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the locals are fun and social. They have a wide selection of beer on top,as well as a full bar. The staff is helpful at making beer suggestions to try,so that you're not ordering a whole beer of something you don't like. I highly recommend this place for anybody that wants to have a good time in a good atmosphere.
This pub is located in San tourist trap of Madeira beach. So at first we were not sure it would be a place we'd want to go. We were wrong. It has a lot of positives. This pub has a lot of local beer on tap but also several we were not familiar with. Inside was Huge. They have pool tables, corn hole, and darts. There is a stage where they may have bands on busier nights. There was music with a large screen showing the video. We sat outside on the patio. Plenty of tables and best of all DOGS are welcome. They do not serve food with the exception of some small snacks. We ordered a pizza from a place down stairs. It was delicious. I loved the beer as well as the company I was with. We will go back for sure!!!

What a delight! My son ordered the Pink Monkey smoothie and I don't think I've ever tasted a smoothie so fresh. I had the Two Dog coffee, which had just been ground, made me happy! Josie the owner was very accommodating and I'm so glad I discovered this gem of a cafe!
The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the space is much too small. I just read that someone was informed the juicing ingredients aren't organic or nonGMO which is troubling, if that's true. I loved the owner, they have a great selection of smoothies that tasted very sweet despite no added sugar or sweetener. My green smoothie was actually green and had veggies in it, not just fruit like some big chains. The coffee was made fresh (Americano) and though I didn't prefer the blend I had on a particular visit, it was still by far the best on the island in my opinion! I also LOVED the whole food bars and snacks I picked up there. They really kept my energy up on our long trips away from civilization like kayaking and beach walks. If you come to sit and visit, you may find it too cramped but I highly suggest it is a mecca for health foods and quality coffee.
Kind of a letdown. The three stars is because they had great friendly service but the food and smoothie choices weren't organic or non-GMO as I had expected. I was hoping for an elite eaters dream and instead my friend and I each left with a bottled water. Organic apples are a must for juicing. People In this industry know that. I also didn't think it looked pristine or clean - too junky. I want my food place to be a tidy, clean more sterile looking environment.

We have loved this little place ever since we discovered it. The best Tapa's we have had since moving to FL. The service has always been great, this is our fav. spot on New Year's eve too. The ambiance is great and sitting at the bar always seems like a fun little private show! As locals, we're excited to have you closer to us now (as opposed to downtown:)
This was by far the best meal we had at Madeira Beach! My husband and I entertain clients at a lot of great restaurants so we are accustomed to good food. This was the only restaurant that we would highly recommend at Johns Pass. Just wish we would have found before our last day there. The happy hour is also great. Half price tapas and two for one drinks! Delicious :)
Great tapas menu. Must order the alma fried shrimp! Also great garlic clams. It is steps from Johns pass boardwalk and the menus has something for everyone.

The consummate Dive Bar...and not because its on Madeira Beach. One look from the street can only mean that inside you'll find cold beer served cheap with friendly locals in attendance for their daily bread. No tourists in here, so a cool place to escape the frenzy of snowbirds with a cheap cold beer and a couple of billiard games.

When I first arrived the owner was working to prepare for the night crowd, very friendly lady. The host was also very polite and nice. The calamari was very good they give you quite a bit, but the marinara sauce is just OK, for the entree I had the Italian Fried Porkchop with a side of mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The porkchop was very juicy and well cooked, the potatoes were very good but not very hot, and i'm not big on mixed vegitables so i skipped out on those. All and all it was good food with a good staff!!
After reading several reviews we made the trip to Lisa's for breakfast. It was a bit of a walk from where we were staying but completely worth it. We had the banana's foster that everyone is raving about. It totally lives up to all the hype. It was delicious! We also had eggs, home fries, bacon, and sausage as well as a Bellini and a mimosa. All the food was good and the service was the best we've had since we've been in Madeira Beach. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of five stars is because of the dripping a/c units right next to our table and the street front location. This place would be awesome if it were beachfront instead of in front of the busy street. We also had a feathered visitor who repeatedly returned to grab up their jelly packets. It was kind of funny because this bird made several trips until they got wise and took the jelly caddy off of the table.
This place is so cute!! The food was amazing/the breakfast, mango Bellinis are now my favorite. Our server was awesome and super nice. Oh and the banana fosters=amazing
