New just opened a lil while ago so we decided to give it a try was very impressed the place has been totally renovated (previous breakfast place there could charitably be called a dump) now its very clean and well lit and the food is great....I can honestly say its the best place I have ever eaten at in MacClenny. I got a steak rider and my wife got the chicken fried steak, the rider was real good real steak ad real fresh not frozen meat. the chicken fried steak was absolutely tremendous tender, hot and crispy fried crust outside moist and delicious the best I ever tasted, the gravy was real nice and smooth with just the right amount of pepper. Try it you will like it!!!

Our first 3 times here were great, fabulous salad bar, good soup, good food, good service. Tonight we went there for husband's 45th birthday and were very disappointed. It was medium busy when we arrived. we were seated fast but the waitress was pushy about getting our order, didn't want to give us time to look at the menu. We placed our order..... salad bar, 2 burgers. Salad bar was lovely as usual, burgers took forever. Waitress bought our check, then realized we had not gotten our burgers. When we got the burgers they were dried out.... had obviously been sitting too long. Waitress did not acknowledge that she had let them sit, only kept repeating "I'm sorry Sweetie" She did offer eventually to get us new burgers. Not willing to sit and wait another hour so we declined. Sad to say that our 4th visit there was very disappointing.... we will go back because the food has been good before this time but hope we don't get the same waitress.

Would i opt to eat here on the weekend and drive all the way from Jacksonville?? Hell no. Is it a decent place to eat when you work in macclenny and are tired of fast food? Sure! Sixth street is a small restaurant with cozy wooden benches, and upstairs they have a loft setting for larger parties. Not too fun carrying your salad bar plate or soup up those steps though. I do like the salad bar a lot, but the regular food is just alright. Salad bar is small, but it really has everything you could possibly want on it. Lots of different meats, cheeses, and pasta salads. You also get to have soup with the salad bar and they usually have the choice of 2 different soups. Ive had a steak here before and it really wasn't cooked very well, especially for this place being called a steakhouse. Ive had a few other dishes, but really nothing worth mentioning. If your going here id recommend the salad bar as a meal or as a side in case your disappointed with your main course!

First, this place has the best soup and salad buffet in town, absolutly everything you could as for included for a decent price. The service has always been good and with a smile. Breakfast: I cant complain. Menu has a great variety, food comes out hot and as ordered! A great place to go for weekend breakfast. Lunch/Dinner: The food has been a little inconsistent. Ive have gone and had a fantstic burger where i couldnt wait to get back for another; and sometimes its a little mediocre. The cooking temp of steaks has been inconsistent also, sometimes medium is medium and sometimes medium is actually charred to a crisp. Although, when the food is good it is darn good.

I am not a complainer. However. The grits are lumpy. This is unacceptable. The sausage is half cold. I mean the bottom half is cold. Wierd. Husband got a breakfast in a sack and the shredded cheese isn't melted. Usually good but way off their game today.

Been here a few times and I think its pretty decent. The steak quality can be hit or miss at times though. The meal I had today was the best I've had here so far. The steak was perfectly cooked and the cut was lean and tender. The prices are fair and servers are usually friendly. I wish they had a few more side options though. I would take something like corn over field peas any day lol. Never had the salad bar but I have seen it and it seems to have a nice variety of stuff to choose from. I have even had an interesting conversation or two with the owner George who used to own Ronnie's a few years back.

We love this place and the people. We have eaten here 4 yrs in a row. Every time we visit the children and grandchildren here, we always eat at least once. Veggie omelet is my favorite!

We haven't had dinner here yet, but they have wonderful breakfasts. I had a veggie omelet (with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers & diced tomatoes), a fluffy biscuit and home fries. My husband raved about his biscuits & gravy. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair. We will definitely be back for breakfast & we will likely try them for dinner soon.

I personally think this is a hidden gem in Macclenny. Every time we go the food is always hot and very tasty. Prices reasonable for what you get I mean its steak people! I have also been there for breakfast. It's was your normal run-of-the-mill breakfast. It was very good and satisfying. I'll go back for sure when I can afford it!

Egg-cellent!!!! The coffee, the grits the biscuits were darn good. The hash browns just took it to a 5 star level. Clean, bright, early morning news on large screen tv's greet you. The sweet southern waitress butters you up as she brings the coffee. The prices are well within reason. Go, if for no other reason, for the hash browns. Sit back and enjoy!

Decent breakfast and I love that they have half portions available for a little cheaper. I had one pancake, grits, egg, bacon, and a soda for just over $7.

I've eaten lunch here 4 or 5 times; usually after 1pm. It's a decent non-chain restaurant. Service and prices have been reasonable. What can I say -- I'll take a "home made" patty over a mcBurger any day.

I like southern homecooking, and prefer non-chains, but three times at this restaurant has convinced me to go elsewhere. As others have pointed out, the salad bar is the main attraction here. I've eaten dinner here three times. The first time, the female owner constantly berated a new waitress, and the food wasn't worth listening to the snarky comments. The second time, friends told us how great the fried catfish was so we gave it another chance. Wrong again. My husband is a human garbage disposal, but he could barely finish the fish. He dosed it with every sauce on the table, and still couldn't eat it. I got a steak, which was trying to curl up on itself, maybe trying to get off the plate. The steamed vegetables, however, were great. The third time I accompanied friends; I tried the fried shrimp and eeyew. Like chewing rubber. And chewing. And chewing. The waitress was extremely attentive and friendly, but guess what? There was the female owner again, waiting to pounce. Before the meal arrived, my friend looked for tartar sauce on the table. The female owner asked what she needed, and when my friend mentioned the sauce, the owner replied "Well if SHEdoesn't get it for you, I will." Oookay. It's not a competition between owner and server, is it? Stop trying to make the girl look bad, or you look efficient. It was weird, even for this county, and the food wasn't worth a doggy bag for Fido. Three different visits, and none of them made me want to go back. Nuff said. I'll head for the Country Buffet in Lake City for cholesterol, at least it's tasty there.

"In a small town like Macclenny, this little steakhouse has pretty good steak for a decent price. It looks like they also have a liquor license because the have an advert for wine on the table... I liked it..."

Ate supper there today. Waitress was very friendly, and service was great! Had Country Fried and Chopped steak dinners. The food seemed to be prepackaged and the only hot thing on either plate was the onion rings I ordered. Paid extra for the salad bar, noticed several items that looked long past their normal expiration. May not be the worst meal I've ever had, but it's on the list. Afraid to go back to try breakfast because of some of the fruit that was on the salad bar!

Can't complain. Everything I've gotten from there thus far has been good. The baked potato soup will make you want to slap your mama it's soooo delicious and the salad bar is pretty enormous.
