Went here for a birthday party. It's a little out of the way (aka middle of nowhere) but it's not hard to find. The restaurant had a good amount of people for a Tuesday night. The server was waiting for all of our party to arrive before placing orders so it was a little slow getting our food but we were enjoying the company so it wasn't bad. I ordered the Mobster Pizza. It was a white sauce with mozzarella, capicola, pepperoni, salami, and banana peppers. Interesting toppings but lacking in flavor. I couldn't taste the sauce. Overall: average bar food. There was a nice outdoor patio area with fire pit that I would be interested in coming back for but honestly it's too far for me.

This place is one of our new favorite places!!Great food fun atmosphere and service has always been good and prices are great. They have the best pretzel burgers and wings in town.We have been there 3 times already and each time was great biggest problem I get is huge menu it takes me forever to figure out what to get but so far so good everything has been great.Well worth the money and a fun place to be soo many tv's and theywill put whatever you want on so that's great!!

Went the other night to watch rays game terrible service. Sandwich was horrible. First review I said I would come back highly doubt that now. This place sucks, I rather drive further for better food and service. Unfortunately next to my neighborhood. Waste of money inside for crap food and bad service. They need to get in check with what is happening serving all types of craft drinks with everything else failing doesn't mean anything. I strongly advice staying away and giving other locals doing it right your money. Corporate restaurant doing same crap you shouldn't pay for

High point: The wings were excellent. Crispy, hot, tasty buffalo dry rub. Will definitely go back to try more of the flavors. Low points: The fried pickles appetizer came with exactly 12 (TWELVE!) slices of pickle -- looking very measly in their basket. The wrap was mediocre. The signature "overstuffed" sandwich came on a surprisingly small piece of bread.

*Updated Review* I was invited back by a member of management after a subpar experience during my last visit. Came here on a Wednesday night around dinner time. It's surprising how much influence a manager can make on an establishment. From front of the house to back of the house. When entering, the hostess was away from the greeting station, but one of the waiters quickly stepped in greeting and sat us to our table. Our waitress really seamed like she enjoyed her job, super friendly. Good food is worth the wait. We ordered wings, fries and the "Famous" overstuffed sub. Yum! Jeff was the manager on duty, and there was a total difference in food quality. Everything came out perfect! No complaints. Management took my previous experience seriously & took drastic steps in a very short time. Major Kudos. I'm glad to say, that I can't wait to comeback. **Save room for dessert, the Apple Tart is to die for** I love supporting local business for they are the foundation of our country!

Finally a sports bar in Lutz! It looks like I've found my new spot to watch a game with a couple drinks. If you're a craft beer lover, you will love this place. The selection for both draft and bottle is quite extensive. Prices seemed pretty typical of what you find anywhere else. I do wish they did offer beer pitchers, but from the sound of my waitress, they are working on that. The menu seemed pretty typical of any sports bar. If you get a burger, you have to try the Pretzel bun. Delicious! One member of my party didn't seem too impressed by the wrap he got, so I'll just take his word for it. I hear the wings are delicious so that's my next item on the menu to check off! Service was very friendly and the atmosphere is ideal for a sports bar. I can see myself coming back a lot.

This is my 2nd visit. The service is great and the food has been good. I had the big Al burger today and last time I had the liven buffalo wings. Their blue cheese is good but the ranch.... Not so much. Do I need to show ya how to make some good ranch??!!!

I want to like Panini's. I really do, I've even given it multiple chances, because it really fits a needed niche in the area. I LOVE the atmosphere. They have a ton of beers on tap, good nightly specials, and is just a fun place with great people. But...they are slooooooow. So. Slow. Every time I've been there food has taken 45+ minutes to come out. And the food is firmly "meh." The wings (50¢ on Wing Wednesday) were pretty decent, but appetizers were highly disappointing and no one in our party was thrilled with...anything, really. If you need a place to drink and watch a game, then come on out, this place is AWESOME. But for food or dinner? It's firmly not worth the wait.

This is a great place to come watch all of your sports needs and grab some delicious brew! I normally find myself here on Sundays to watch the NFL games and the service has always been great. I found that the servers don't really interupt when there is a big play going on to stop you watching and take your order which i appreciate! I love that they have a variety of craft beers to try and usually a beer of the month. Last time i was in i got a cigar city craft beer which quenched my thirst. I was with my wife and we started with an app which was there buffalo cheese fries which came with gorgonzola. We really didn't care for them and actually asked to box them up which we left on the bar when we left...lol We also has shared a pizza which i believe was called the mob. It was vey good with four types of meat and a white sauce instead of red. I could have taken one of those to go instead of the fries!

We dined here earlier in the week and were pleasantly surprised. Everything we had was very tasty. Service was outstanding. We had a group of 12, including 5 kids, so we sat on the patio. We started with a few orders of the hot pretzels and potato skins. Both were great and seemed fresh. We had a variety of sandwiches, wings, burgers, etc. everyone was happy. For the wings, order spicier than you normally would, if you really want them to be hot. We also used the Yelp $25 for $35 special, which helped us save $10. Try panini's. You won't be disappointed.

A great friend brought me here after speaking at length how there was never anything close to a sports bar and restaurant being in the neighborhood before this came along. He invited a group of us here after golf nearby at TPC Tampa Bay and we were all very comfortable and really liked the place. The beer selection alone is way above the norm and I really appreciated the formal Stella pouring station front and center behind the bar. Instead of just having drinks with the rest of the group, I did want to sample the menu and found a lot of really good apps, wings, salads and sandwiches from which to choose. While the Panini (Which I have had in Cleveland and know all about) is the signature item, I just did not want something that heavy on this visit. Instead, I went with the Hot Italian on and it was fantastic. (Yes, insert you own joke here...the bartender did.) The pub chips were also very tasty and crispy as the included side. Thank you, Jackie for the fun service and thank you Panini's for a strong first impression.

Typical American pub with lots of TVs for sports and the food is what you expect but with a northern twist. I got the panini with grilled chicken and added hot sauce. The ingredients tasted fresh and fries are good. They didn't end up adding the wing sauce which I think would have amped up the flavor. The cheese steak looked like it would've been better. The bread had good flavor and is fluffy. The bread does compact down but kept together. The thin crust pizza was really good with fresh toppings.

Met a friend here for dinner. Had never heard of it before and certainly didn't think it would be a sports bar from the name. She had a burger that looked delicious and I had the Asian salad. The boneless chicken wings on it were amazing. I'd definitely stop back in here to watch a game.

The food is bar food but not very good bar food. Most dishes here don't appear to be quality food. We've eaten here twice now and both times were about equal. The service is mediocre at best.

The loaded fries are a favorite dish of my friends, but it tastes burnt and leaves a strange aftertaste every time we order it.

! The over stuffed sandwiches are the best. I had the italian of course. My wife had a hamburger on a pretzel bun. The bun was the best pretzel bun I ever had. Service was excellent!!Kaitlin was our bar tender and server she was very nice and informative. Update - the pretzels are really good and the fried pickles also for apps

A good new spot for the Lutz area residents! As a former employee of that same location but 12 years ago when it was Splash, I must say that they have impressively improved the interior. Lots of TVs makes for a good sports-like atmosphere but you can also find the low-key vibe if you don't sit in front of the bar. My friend and I had a good view of the Rays game where we sat but we didn't feel as though we were in an overwhelming sports bar, which was nice. As for food: We didn't eat much, admittedly, as my friend and I were there for happy hour drinks and catch-up talk; however, the chicken quesadilla (which was on the starters portion of the menu) was delicious! The Spinach Artichoke dip needs a little work as it was a bit watery, but we enjoyed the wine and the quesadilla. The server was friendly and gave us our space when we wanted to be left alone, though he was not very knowledgeable about the wines - which make sense since he was on the young side. They also didn't have any happy hour specials but he assured us management was working on that. Not sure how long they have been open but that should've been one of the first details they established so that they could draw a steady consistent crowd- though I am sure they will soon have a solid Cheval following anyhow.

I have come several times and have always been disappointed, not only with the food but with the way the manager has dealt with my "hockey puck" burger. I am old school and like a well done burger, but there is a point when it is way over cooked. 3 times I have come and 3 times it has been burnt and unedible. Every time I have been told that this is how it should be cooked for well done and they have made no attempt to make things right. I tried to give them a chance but I will not be returning.

This place has its good and its bad. They have a great beer selection and the margaritas I ordered ( I was in that kind of mood!) were strong and yummy. Our server was super sweet and attentive. The pizza we had was truly amazing. Perfect bar pizza. The rest of our food was just kind of blah. The burger was nothing special. I ordered the ribs and they were just not good. Not good. It does seem like a fun place to watch some games and as long as you stick to drinks and pizza you should be ok.

So, after my third time here, I still can't give it more than 3-3.5 stars. The food is decent pub food, though nothing to write home about, and the wait staff is a little hit or miss. This is my first time dining in and the food was hot and fresh, and came out quickly. The wings were average to above average - a little dry though and not quite as spicy as I was hoping. But the food was hot and fresh. By far, the best thing they have going for them is their beer selection and the fact that they're close to me. I will be back, like I said before, at least for the beer and pizza/wings/fries.

Came in on a Wednesday for lunch, was pretty empty. Lots of good menu items but the service was terrible. It's unfortunate because it's a cool looking place, could be my new spot..but the service turned me off. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks, asked for water twice, no refills on water or soda were offered. Took about 25 minutes to get a wrap and burger. No apologies for the wait, had to ask for silverware, napkins ketchup..The basics. Sad because the place has great potential.

So I live pretty close to this place and have been there about five times so I think this review will give a pretty good overall rating. I agree with the other reviewers that the fare here is standard bar food. Nothing really stands out but good food and a pretty decent selection. Service is ok. Nothing to rave about. I've had good service and poor service in my times there. The patio is very nice. I haven't sat outside yet but I have seen it. Not sure if they allow smoking on the patio. Hopefully not. Overall it's a decent place to go if you live close but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I have been to Panini several times now. The initial visit was shortly after opening. I had a Reuben and it was was great , the service not so great. Chalk that off to being new. The next time I had the Reuben again and it was not so great, but the table service was better ,but the management service was non existent. third time, Pizza was cold. Its great to have a new spot in Lutz, but don't hook me with great food on opening and then cut back on quality down the road.

Went here with friends last night and while we had absolutely zero wait time for a table and the service was good, the food was mediocre or less. I wanted to order a frozen margarita but our server told us that they can't do any frozen drinks because they don't have a blender. Ummm... ok, a BAR that doesn't have a blender. We jokingly told the server that we could run over to Kohl's next door, buy one & donate it to the cause. But seriously, a bar without a blender?!? Anyway, we ordered wings & the combo basket of appetizers. Decent food in basket but very skimpy basket for the price. Wings were good. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. Salad was fresh but grilled chicken was waaay over charred & tasted like charcoal. If our server hadn't been so friendly & timely, I would have only given this place one star. Convenient location but just not great food.

Was just here tonight sitting at the bar. I had amazing service by the two beautiful bartenders, Annie and Roxann. I never had an empty glass and my food was excellent! Their knowledge of the many beers they serve and also the drinks they were crafting was out of this world! They recommend a Samuel Smith nut brown ale which was perfect with the philly cheese panini I ordered. After, I had a couple of shots that were freaking amazing! All she told me when I asked what they were was they're called "shut the hell up and drink it!". I had a great time and will definitely be stopping by again just to see these ladies at work!

I've had a few different experiences at Panini's. Some better than others. Pizza is just okay. Their hot zone hot sauce is good. The Reuben was great. We had a rude female bartender once. And a fabulous male waiter once.

We had high hopes for Panini's after Splash! shutdown and we were without a nearby restaurant for a while. Our first time there was just after Panini's opened and both the food and the service were mediocre. Tonight we thought we'd give it a second chance because maybe they were just suffering from opening night jitters. Unfortunately we were wrong. They upcharged us on our wings because we ordered all drums after telling us we wouldn't, then were going to make our waiter pay the upcharge fee. And to top it off, the wings came out 20 minutes after my wife's food and were overcooked. When I complained to the "manager" he acted like he could care less and made no effort whatsoever to make things right. Suffice it to say, we will not be giving Panini's a third chance. It's too bad because, as I said, we had really hoped it would be a great restaurant like Splash! was when it first opened.

  • Melissa K.

We visited twice. Once just after they opened. Food was great, service was terrible. I chalked it up to "glitches" they needed to work thru so we decided to give them another chance. We were seated, and then forgotten about. The service, attitude of the server and lack of response from the manager, led us to leave before we even placed our order. Total FAIL! Give your money to another establishment.

I love this place! Great sports bar/ family restaurant/ happy hour for adults type place. Food is great...amazing chicken wings! Lots of TV screens. Staff is friendly and food comes out in a timely manner. I had my 50th birthday party out on the patio...50 people fit there no problem. My 2 waiters that worked the party were great! We had live music, food and loads of fun. Thanks to Panini's management for the great set up. I will go there again and again!

  • Jason P.

The good? TVs are everywhere.. Service was adequate yet unprofessional with servers allowed to wear tank tops.. Something about armpits and food just don't go together IMO. Anyway the bad: the menu? Uninspired and just as mediocre as it gets. No edge at all.. Nothing surprising at all (guess I shouldn't have expected much from a place with such a stupid name). The food came I ordered the their signature "panini" basically a Primanti Brothers ripoff but about a million miles away as far as quality and culture are concerned.. My daughter got there boneless wings, as expected they were just frozen over breaded chunks of chicken. Just blah. My main question about this place is this? Who in their right mind would actually pay a franchise fee to a company for this mediocre of a concept? Guess I should have expected it from a strip mall bar and grill..

  • Karen S.

Pretty nice sports bar. Has lots of TV's and good atmosphere. Drinks are a little weak for the price. Service was slow and the food was extremely slow coming out. I thought my wings were the most simple, but they came out about 5 minutes after my friends pizza and sandwiches. The wings were randomly overcooked. I say randomly because it seemed like they were pulled from two different cooked batches. Half of them were really over cooked and dry. The other half wasn't too bad. Management told me they over cook them like that on purpose because some people like them that way. Really?????Who????? Went once.....won't make it a regular stop even though we live around the corner.

    (3)
  • Jeff L.

Great sandwiches. If you haven't had this style of sandwich, you are in for a treat. Their sandwiches have fries and coleslaw on them, not on the side. The best is the Capicola. Excellent wings too. Cooked till crispy and some really good sauces. I had the buffalo parm which I thought was excellent. Lots of TVs (like a typical sports bar) Also excellent craft beer selection.

It's a nice place, clean, and a ton of beers. I'm not really a big beer drinker so I thought $5.50 for a small weak mixed drink was a little pricey. The food is average. Overall not my favorite place but not bad either. We are likely to go back after reading reviews of new management

Outstanding!!! If you're looking for a great place to watch sports and grab a bite, you won't find a better place than this. The food is fantastic and the service was spot-on! Great job, guys. I'm looking forward to visiting your new restaurant in Westchase too!

We have tried this place three times since it opened. We are starved for restaurants here . Unfortunately, Panini's is not able to deliver on the quality of food we need. The beer selection is great, however, it is usually a little warm. Pizza is quite doughy and sandwiches for dinner is just so tired. I have tried black bean burgers and chicken burgers and both were just ok. For the price we paid for dinner, I expect a little more effort. Staff is fine, but at the end of the day, it is an overpriced chilis. I think Lutz deserves more than this.

My husband and I had the opportunity to go to Panini's on Saturday (7/19/14). We had heard mixed reviews from friends but our experience was really good. We had their appetizer combo platter (onion rings, fried pickles, pretzel, & mozzarella sticks with various dipping sauces) everything on the combo was very good. We ordered two kinds of wings Rub A Dub Cajun & the Yaki wings. While the cajun wings didn't have enough spice for me, the Yaki wings were incredible! My favorite thing was their extensive beer list. I can highly recommend, Hoptical Illusion & Hop Head Red. Most sports bars are not known for their dessert but we gave it a shot anyway and we were blown away by their Warm Apple Tart. OMG heaven on a plate! They also had two of my favorite things, live music and plenty of big screens to watch my Rays. Lutz was long overdue for a good sports bar and this is it. We'll definitely be frequent diners.

Service was SLOW, ok bar food. Don't expect a cold glass for your beer. Great location is about all it has going for it. But will likely find myself elsewhere.
