Good for a local buffet. Good for lunch or dinner if your hungry (or have teenagers who eat everything). You'll get your monies worth. Not a large selection of regular entrees, and they vary depending on when you come, but they do have a grill, sushi bar and dessert bar. Great service and affordable buffet meal.

Great place and huge selection of food along with hibachi grill as well. Good price and service.

Just your typical large buffet. I will say they have decent sushi and very fresh peel n eat shrimp. Other than that typical hot food.

Great sushi bar. Freshly prepared. A good variety of rolls. I like the hot food bar too, there is enough of a selection for both Asian and American food lovers. You can dine alone or in a group and feel well taken care of.

I have eaten there several times and first time, my blood pressure was up, heart palpating, did not relate it to the food. Second time my husband and I were up all night, Then I figured it out MSG!!!! Will not eat there again.

This place was big and very crowded on a Friday night. Huge buffet. The service was very good and attentive. The food selection was vast. Sushi was very cold, stale and terrible. If sushi smells and tastes 'fishy' you should run. Most of the hot dishes were ok. Honestly I just hoped I wouldn't get sick. If you want big quantity and low price without worrying about quality this is for you.

Great food if you are in to seafood. This is the 2nd time we've eaten there and it was very good both times. I would definitely recommend it.

Let me start off by saying I do not like buffets! I hate booger pickers and dirty hands and just yuck getting there before me. This is the only buffet I like. It is clean and well stocked and they are so busy you can almost rest assured your food is booger free.

Decent for a Chinese/Japanese buffet. Nothing stood out to me- just your typical buffet style. Some of the ladies in the staff are a little pushy and rude. However, they do a really good job making sure there's hot, "fresh" food at the stations an you're never scraping the bottom. Sushi is good too- a little thick on the rice and the fish is somewhat fresh. Minimal selection of sushi but overall I had a pleasant experience.

I'm not entirely sure what happened to this place. The first time I ate here it was surprisingly very good. Now it's horrible at best. Even the sushi was just plain awful. I don't know if it's because it was so busy that they were pushing food out too quickly or what. The only good thing was the green beans. At least they were cooked fully and had a nice taste. Sorry I can't say the same for the beef, chicken, shrimp, crab or even the fried rice. It was all lousy and honestly I felt like throwing up after I ate it. Gross. Avoid this place at all costs.

Just had a terrific lunch here. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was great. I'm giving it 5 stars, but not because I believe it's a 5 star restaurant. I think it's the best Chinese buffet I have ever eaten at, so I give it the highest of grades possible for a Chinese buffet. Sushi was good, Mongolian grill was excellent. Kids loved the hand dipped ice cream.

I went for a friend's birthday and was not disappointed. Good selection of food. Sushi was being made behind the serving plates so you can watch them make it. The hot trays were being filled constantly so I never got to the bottom of a pan. Our server was polite and efficient. Skip the crab legs..they were not worth the additional charge.

I went to Ichiban because of some decent reviews from co-workers. The food was OK (pretty much the same as you would get at any Chinese buffet) and there was quite a large variety. But the whole experience was ruined immediately by the hostess, a miserable-looking Cacausian woman (possibly an owner or manager?) who was very rude and snippy to everybody she encountered. I took my mother with me and in front of us was a party of two and then a party of one. Miss Frownie Face said, "OK, the party of two and the party of one, let's go!" Mom and I assumed she meant the party of two and party of one in front of us, so we waited for her to return to seat us. When she did, she rolled her eyes and almost yelled "So I guess you didn't hear me when I clearly said party of two?" She sighed and said, "OK, just come over here and sit over on this side." Mom and I were perplexed by this woman's behavior, but she was like that to others the whole time we were there, diners and especially workers alike; she was overheard belittling her staff over everything, the whole time running around sighing and rolling her eyes. The whole feeling in that place was one of stress and uneasiness because of this. At least our server was very, very sweet but was not attentive because she was eating lunch the whole time. I later went to get an ice cream in Tavares and offhandedly mentioned I went to Ichiban and the worker said, "Oh, I've heard there's rude people there." So it's not just me saying that. I'll never go back again and will stick with the very nice and warm people at Wasabi Buffet instead.

I find this to be one of the best Chinese & Japanese buffets around. The food is fresh and very tasty. My wife particularly likes the hibachi. The vegetables are fresh and good! My only minus for this place is their salad bar. They could provide a better selection of salad veggies. But, that won't stop me from going back. In the 4 times we've been here all the help is very nice.

I went there to try it, and I was thinking it was going to be great. I go in and I was looking around and I saw that they put an allergen food(crab legs) next to fried rice. I couldn't eat because of my severe allergy to crab and shrimp. So when i explained to the waitress...she proceeded to argue with me. So needless to say..we arent going back

We went on Friday evening. The food was good. However, when it came time to pay, there was an extra charge for crab legs on the bill. I advised the server that we did not eat crab legs. He pointed to my son and said he did...I again advised no, he did not. The manager came over and I again advised that my son did not eat crab legs. Another waiter was called who also waited on us and he told them NO, they did not eat crab legs. It was the three tables behind us. The waiter had mixed up the checks. Manager apologized and refunded the money for the extra charge. However it was sad that another waiter had to vouch for us...that we did not eat crab legs. I think it will be a VERY LONG time before I go back. POOR ATTITUDE OF SERVER AND MANAGER.

We love this place! Amazing food at a great price. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that they automatically add a tip to the bill without informing you first. If they would at least notify the customer of this before doing it, they would have gotten 5 stars because they do provide good service.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
