This was my first visit to Vinnie's. The atmosphere, service and food were all good but I was a little frustrated that none of their three high chairs had working safety belts/buckles. I mentioned this to the staff as my child squirmed around in her seat and almost slid out twice. I had to hold my child in the seat and then on my lap the entire meal and that does not make for an enjoyable experience. (It's tough to eat a saucy wing with one hand and hold a moving target with another..ijs). The manager assured me when we left that they were on order, but I would keep this in mind if you are heading there to eat and are taking small children who need to be buckled into their seats! Otherwise, I would go back, I like that the wings were not breaded, my older child had the chicken finger meal and enjoyed it. The staff and owner was very courteous and attentive and they had quick service. (Please bear in mind we were there on a Sunday afternoon and they were not busy. I can not comment on busier times.) Give Vinnie's a try if you are looking for some good wings.

What a great place! The atmosphere was slightly loud but manageable. The food was outstanding. The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Will definitely be returning :)

AWESOME!!! I have now been there twice within the past year, the second time was this past Sunday. Their large number of choices when it comes to wing flavors and sauces are impeccable. The thing I really like is that they dont have the standard 5-6 wing flavor every other place has, the flavors are unique and very good. I have had the wings 2x now, last time I had the train wreck sauce and this time I had the XX sauce. I score both a 10/10 and cant wait to get back there to try more. Thanks again Vinny!!

The beer was cold and the wings were fantastic. I had the Orange Jalepeno wings. Great Flavor and properly prepared. The owner(Vinnie) kept our beers full and was pleasant to converse with. I will definetly return.

My first time here and it was awful. I got the wings and split a grande sub with onion rings. The onion rings were saturated in oil and were gross. The wings were alright. We then got our check and our sub was 14.99. The menu said it was 11.99. So we asked the waitress and she said oh those menus are old. Not that it was a big deal it was only 3 bucks but we just wanted to know. The waitress then came over and said it was cause we got the onion rings and it was a $3 charge. We just mentioned to her that next time she should say that when we order due to the menu not saying it. She then gave us an attitude. Never going back!!!

Great chicken wings with tons of flavors and there are other items on the menu which are good too. The staff is courteous as well. I recommend the train-wreck chicken wings and there sweet potato fries are awesome.

Hit it on a good night and find DJ Dustin hosting Karaoke while you grub on some very decent Buffalo wings. Bartender was kind of inhospitable when my sister and I both ordered just one beer even though there were about 5 people in the whole place, but everyone has off days and the DJ was off the chain, do wish he would allow more rap karaoke though :)

I had the shrimp with the garlic sauce. On the menu, it says they highly recommend that sauce and how great it is. When I ordered it, the server didn't even know what I was talking about. Husband got the wings, nothing too great considering the name of the place. Server was inattentive with refills and overall service. We won't be back which stinks because i would love to find a good wing place in the area.

This is one great Chicken wing place. Not that only their chicken wings are awesome but so are their huge burgers and moist, always fresh, chicken tenders. Everyone knows chicken & burgers cannot be without fries and cousin vinny's fries are delicious. This is a definite go to for hot wings and burgers. I love their Purple Heart hot sauce, it's hot & I love hot and heat. Good service and nice place to kick back and enjoy some good food. We've been 4-5 times so far in three months and will be back as soon as we can. Love this place!

In a world of Fast Food and chain restaurants, it's refreshing to find a place where the owner is actually in the restaurant and seems to really enjoy interacting with the customers. It wasn't super busy when we were there, but Vinny seemed to be making a point of going around to the tables to talk to people. The wait staff, including our waiter Mike, were friendly & attentive and seemed to know about the menu items when we asked about different ones. As for the food, the garlic shrimp appetizer was wonderful! The shrimp were large, perfectly cooked, and the garlic sauce was delicious. The corn chips served underneath them and the slices of toast were excellent to soak up the sauce. The garlic parmesan fries were also very good, but a little soggy. Unfortunately, the sausage fireballs were pretty tasteless on their own except for the spicy sauce they were served with. All three of the types of wings we tried were very good. The wings were crispy & there was plenty of sauce to go with them. The ranch dressing was thick and creamy and obviously made in house. We live in Ocala but would come back here again just to keep trying different menu items and to experience the friendly atmosphere.

Over priced. Way over priced. I recall much bigger wings when they first opened. After being given many excuses and blaming their vendor(s) etc I quit going there all together. It's all about the $ at Vinnies.

Had a great first experience today at CVs. Fried pickles may be the best Ive ever tasted. The sausage cheese meatballs were ok. Sauce choices were unclear. Wings were delish tho. The servers were almost too eager, and werent really listening, but more of a script being read. We will definitely spend more money here. But prolly take out, paper plates arent my style, their dining room is like ab indoor picnic. For the price, they can afford a better dining experience. Its the only real downside here.

My fiance and I just moved back to the area. We love our hot wings. And for my fiance, the hottest is never hot enough. At any rate, we have been trying out numerous restaurants that are supposed to be known for having great wings, and tonight it was time for Cousin Vinnie's. And, my advice is, do not go there!! Our wings were greasy, overcooked and were like chewing on rubber. We also ordered the onion rings, which were literally dripping with grease. In general, it was inedible. We ended up tossing everything and eating leftovers instead. It was awful and we will not be returning.

Incredibly mediocre. I had the poppers, which were cooked way too long in grease that was way too hot. The only way to eat these would have been with silverware. That I didn't get. I had the wings, which also were cooked way too long. The final piece to the bland puzzle was the fact that the server could not provide me with a credit card receipt. She even talked to someone that I assumed was the manager and they also said they couldn't do this. I travel for my company. I need credit card receipts. I have probably eaten and over 200 restaurants this year and every single one could do this simple task. Add that to the boring food and this is a place I won't visit again.

I've been eating at Cousin Vinnie's since they opened several years ago. When they first opened their doors, it was a dream come true. I couldn't wait to come home on weekends for their boneless "wing dings". Tons of different flavors to choose from, and my ultimate favorite appetizer - fried mushrooms. Unfortunately, we've noticed a very disconcerting decline in the qualify of the food since the restaurant underwent their expansion. The last couple of times when we got our food it has been cold and chewy. After my experience yesterday, I definitely won't be back. We called the place a "to-go" order only to be notified at the end of the call that they are completely out of boneless chicken...what? WHAT?! How does that even? Anyways. We took another look at the menu and ordered the fried mushrooms, nachos, and the shrimp. The whole meal was a disaster. Mushrooms were so cold and greasy that they tore a hole in the bottom of the paper bag. Nachos were so soggy they were inedible. Best not to get me started on the shrimp. Very disappointed. Hope they get back to their roots soon and just stick to making really good chicken wings!

Great local place. The owner is often around to make sure everything is going well. I love the Frankenstein sauce even though it's pretty hot for me. Also their chicken salad plate is my favorite quick and delicious lunch. Thanks folks! ... and a side note - it's a small town business and they appreciate cash rather than cards. I try to oblige since it's easy to do and helps keep them going.

It isn't cheap as another reviewer pointed out, but if you want cheap you can try Rally's. We aren't regulars by any means, but that doesn't stop them from knowing our names and remembering things about us when we do visit. The food is good too! An easy recommendation.

I am a Vinnie's regular, and have read the mixed reviews so here is the straight deal, folks: Vinnie's is a real family run place and unlike the other wing shops in town, the owner makes ALL of the thirty-some flavors of wing-sauce on premises from the his own recipes. You will NOT find a Sysco wing-sauce jug in the Dumpster out back, but you CAN literally see the giant tubs of powdered spices and seasonings right through the back door of the kitchen. The cost of making custom sauces is the reason the wings cost a buck or two more than the generic identical flavors you find everywhere else in the area. If you want fifteen bland, mediocre tasting sauces that are certain to offend nobody, you know that Sysco bottled sauces have you covered; but if you looking for something new, or better yet that ONE special sauce that will make you swear off of every other place in town, then Vinnie's is the place for you. When you come for the first time, bring a few friends and order three or four flavors. I suggest the Grand Champion, which is THE award winning sauce on the menu. Karaoke is every Thursday night, and is a good night to come as Vinny is usually on premises. If he is here, he will be certain to recognize a new face and come by to say hello and make sure you get the full Vinnie's family experience. There are beer and wine only and kids are welcome on Thursdays. There are seats behind a wall from the bar if you don't want to sing (or hear it). Part of the family atmosphere may be that sometimes the staff are a bit informal--including the waiters singing and dancing during Karaoke; however if anyone has had a bad experience with food or service I would be very disappointed for you to overlook what I consider one of our local gems. Please call the store and let Vinny know so that he can make it right!

This place is pretty good. Lotsa stuff on the menu. I had 3 favors of wings. BBQ, teriyaki & sweet/hot (swot). The swot were basically just hot. I like hot, so it's all good, but I tasted no sweet. Other 2flavors were good too. My mom had the sweet potato fries. Didn't realize they came covered with honey and garlic but its good and I ate a bunch of hers and she finished off the basket. My dad had a burger that he gives a 6/10. Staff was VERY attentive. Not just your waitress but all of 'em and the owner stop by constantly to get ya what you need.

I have to disagree with Tedd S. on some aspects. Although Cousin Vinnie's does leave some things to be desired, by no means is it a 1 star place. Though from his reviews I imagine he's a tough (if not impossible) guy to impress. As of this review 54% of his reviews are 2 stars or less. He must intentionally seek out crappy places if his rating system is sound. Or perhaps food in Lake County is just crappy on average, I suppose that's possible as well. At any rate..most of you can probably take my review with a grain of salt, as it's based on the expectations of someone from Connecticut, and thus is being compared to places here. I have very little basis for comparison down in the Lake County, Fl area. Overall: The place was a nice little joint, fix the beer situation and I'll add a star. I could def. see myself going back the next time I'm in the area and looking for wings. Food: The app. sampler platter was pretty good. The onion rings were thick and crispy, the mozz was soft and stringy, the poppers were tasty (though I like more fire). The spicy sausage and cheese fireballs were OK I but would never order them separately. We also has some of the seasoned french fries, which came out piping hot, but were hard to put down. The wings were tasty, and cooked just right. Meat was moist and the skin was nice and crispy. We had three flavors, "swot" (sweet and hot), "train wreck" and Caribbean jerk. I like to always try new flavors, etc., but all three were so good that I'll have a real fight on my hands trying to convince myself to not just get the same three again. Much better than the Buffalo Wild Wings locations I've been to, though I tend to rank BWW pretty low on the wing scale to begin with. Drinks: The beer selection is one place where they fell short. The only non-bottle was Bud Select (yuk), and everything else was bottles in a lit cooler. Light and beer are not friends, so that rules out anything clear or green bottled, and they didn't have many selections to begin with... I was over-ruled and pitchers were ordered. They came out with ice in a zip-lock bag inside the pitcher (um...pass on that aspect next time). Important note - no liquor available. Staff: The staff was a mix of friendliness/helpfulness, but one of the waitresses was a real sweetheart, and Vinnie himself came by and helped us make selections by describing what some of the odder named flavors were. Holding back on the My Cousin Vinny references was a tough personal battle. Prices: Prices were a couple dollars high, even for wings up in CT. Perhaps they have specials - if so, find out when and go then.

These are in my top 5 places for wings ever! And I've had wings from all over the eastern US!

Waited a long time for a to go order of 10 wings. They don't offer grilled wings so they are deep fried. When i got home my order only had 2 drums - all the rest were flats. The wings sat on my stomach all night. It was my first n last time. But do have to say the employees seemed very nice hence the 2stars.

Great wings with lots of sauces & I love the poppers with raspberry sauce. Yes, it's not cheap but cheap gets you poor wings. The staff is super attentive & personable they have always looked after me & my party members with great care.

The hired help has a practiced greeting that comes across as disingenuous - sortof makes me feel like I'm on on a used car lot "can I put you in a wing today?". Unfortunately, that "energy" doesn't rub off on the menu...recognizing me by name isn't worth a popcorn fart if the food doesn't deliver! The $7.99 wings (10) are normal size and about $2 high. The nuttin fancy wing sauces belong in plastic baskets, plasticware and plastic trays. In my book, the only thing Vinnie's is "famous" for - is separating a Jackson from my hand for a ho hum experience.

After an early disaster of a lunch the following times I have been here have resulted in excellent friendly service and very good wings.

The sauces are great. They tend to over cook the chicken. The fries are pretty good as well, they are topped with sugar :-)
