Very good restaurant. Extremely good food, with exceptional service. Prime rib is excellent and will leave you taking a bag home for your doggy. The only goofy thing is trying to get a dinner reservation. They sometimes do not answer the phone and often need to just leave a message with party size, service time (5:30 or 7:00 pm) and how many people in the party want prime rib. It is well worth the wait.

I can't say enough about how amazing our meal was at The Rusty Duck. I had the prime rib which was cooked to perfection. Everything is cooked to order, go with a large appetite and lots of time to enjoy each mouthful of food.

Absolutely amazing. The whole experience - the location, decor, friendly and hardworking staff, and the FOOD ohhh the food. Everything was delicious from the starting soup and salad, the bread, and entree with sides. I got the duck Emily and it was the best duck (with crispest skin!) I've ever had. I'm just so, so sad I live in miami and will only be able to eat at this restaurant on the rare occasion of visiting crystal river. This is a must if you're in the area! Highly recommended.

Excellent food!! Everyone was very satisfied. Very reasonably priced: you get soup, salad, veg, starch & main course. Desserts were really good too. Byob.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Citrus County! The food is excellent, the service is good and the atmosphere is casual. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and the food prep and made great recommendations. For an appetizer, we shared the bruschetta with shrimp and sun dried tomatoes smothered in a wonderful sauce. I could have stopped right there and would have been completely satisfied. I also had the blackened salmon. Normally, I wouldn't order salmon blackened, but I'm so glad I did. It was done perfectly with subtle blackening. My date had the Creole Duck, another excellent dish. Can't wait to go back to try something new! Be sure to call a few days in advance for reservations.

I went here for my birthday recently and I had a really great experience. The food was excellent and the service was good. This place is right off of Gulf to Lake Hwy and has the abandoned Floridian shack look to it. They are only open Tues-Fri (you may want to call to find out) and basically only take reservations (5, 5:30, 7, 7:30). It's BYOB! The only thing keeping this place from being 5 stars is the size of their booths and their carpet. I really really really don't like carpet in restaurants (ESPECIALLY in Florida!). I had duck with a rich peppercorn sauce that was a little bit on the heavy cream side but was still tasty and the duck was cooked perfectly. Soup and salad come with your dinner automatically along with a choice of side (LOTS of side choices!) and they were all very good as well. I'd recommend their lobster bisque and their whipped potatos :) If you're in the Lecanto area, definitely give this place a ring!

The food was gross the service was terrible after waiting two hours for our food we questioned the waiter and was told" if you"don't like it don't come back". Don't worry we won't! I agree with a past post that any restaurant that has that big of a menu can't be good. A restaurant that only seats 48 people a night does not need a six page menu that also has old prices on it.

I'm a traveler throughout this great nation of ours, the food here is phenomenal! You must experience it to believe it. You won't be disappointed. If you want fast service go to Mickey D's or Burger Doddles; this restaurant is for relaxing and enjoying the experience. Quaint and different, try the Duck or fish plates....

Wow, where do I start? This was really awful, I really wanted it to be a good experience I'm sad it wasn't. I have no idea why they call this fine dinning, this is worlds away from it! This is a true kitchen nightmare! The place smells like the food is going bad, it's dirty, very noisy and no one is dressed like they are in a fine dinning restaurant! Everything they make is drowned in a cream sauce, which to me is a mark of bad food. My steak came on a massive plate covered in sauce, the fries came on a separate plate. The fries were frozen fries that they baked not home made. The chicken and rice soup was very salty. The rice in the soup tasted and looked like left over Chinese rice. All the soup was, was broth and rice, would it kill them to add some vegetables? The salad was just Lettuce piled on a dirty metal plate thing. They were tenderizing meat in the back, it shook the whole place. Ever time the air conditioner turned on the lights blinked. On top of everything we waited 2 1/2 hours for this awful meal. I wouldn't have minded the wait if the food was good. This cost 98 dollars, no where near worth it. I have one good thing to say, the waitress was very nice and attentive. We made sure she got a good tip.

What an experience...Talk about your "mom and pop" place! I think this restaurant defies every rule in the restaurant business. They only have seatings so you have to call in days in advanced (must order prime rib early also), they have a huge menu and probably more items than seating of 24 in the entire place. We had 6 people and had the biggest table in the place. We had the 5pm seating and doors don't open til 5pm. The food and service was awesome! Got the duck emily and it was prepared well and delicious. Others got pasta, duck specials and did not have one bad review. Will return when we come back to the area...unfortunately next year.
