A nice place to go with friends, hang out and enjoy some music. The people who come to this place count on it as a home away from home. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were huge. The age range is 50+ but it is a great place for anyone.

Went in on a Sat evening. Five people were sitting at the bar. Two barmaids totally ignored me. I sat there for five minutes with my money on the bar in front of me. They looked like they were completely lost. A party of four walked in, and both girls went right to them to get them seated. While I was wearing a T-shirt, I had on new jeans and didn't look homeless. I also wanted a Bass ale, so it's not like they missed selling a couple Buds. I'll give this place one more shot on a weekday afternoon and see what happpens. From what I could see it appears to be a nice place, they just need to get the service to match the atmosphere.

A co-worker and I decided that St. Patty's Day celebrations were in order last week. We truly stumbled upon this place since our only plan was to drive around to places close to work and see what was going on. Finley's was great! Well, its parking lot was a rockin good time, anyhow. In true Irish Pub form, they go all out for St. Patty's. They had the entire party setup outside, complete with a tent, tables/chairs, a bar, a stage and pub grub food! Cash only (assuming because of the outdoor-only setup). The food was delish! We had fish & chips but they had all the other expected Irish fare. Wash it all down with a green beer and Finley's was perfect for a mid-day St. Patty's break in the workday. Convinced I'd have more stars if I make my way back over and actually make my way past the parking lot...

It was hard for me to give this place a fair rating so I went in the middle. We do not live in FL however we visit a couple times a year. My family all agrees the food here is excellent BUT......the wait staff is horrible! We tried it twice last year thinking it just must have been the night. The 2nd time we were there a waitress cleared our table and never returned. After 20 minutes we had to flag down another girl and ask for the check. Our 3rd visit was this Jan. on a week night. They had a good crowd there. Sat down and waited on rather quickly by one waitress. My husband commented wasn't that the same one from last year? Yep! We never saw her again after she brought our drinks. The next one took our order, brought our food and that was the end of her. I sat through half my meal with nothing to drink as she never came back. Never even looked our way for me to flag her down and ask for a refill. My husband & son would have ordered more beers but again no waitress. After we were all done an older gentlemen came & cleared our table and asked how our meal was. Only then did the waitress appear and I asked for the check. We left the money on the table because I never knew when she would return. So, I guess 3 strikes and we are done. Sad because we really liked their food. Only one other reviewer commented about the service so I am surprised. We looked around and noticed we weren't the only ones. Their 2 waitresses look busy but also lost. They need a better system of some sort. Wonder how much business they lose on drinks if they are not asking if you would like a refill.

A friend and I were in Clearwater for Phillies Spring Training, and, having made the mistake of not staying a) near the beach or b) near the stadium, we found ourselves on a Saturday night searching the interwebs for "irish pubs" nearby. Deciding upon Finleys was one of the better decisions we made that vacation. It's in a strip mall, which I'm not used to, and threw me off a little. But it appeared to be more a townie-frequented establishment and less populated by tourists than what we'd seen thus far. A solid collection of beers on tap, and some bangin fries. The main attraction, though, was the dude in a kilt singing Irish drinking songs (god I wish I remember his name). A fabulous rendition of Old McDonald's and, my personal favorite, Who the F is Alice? We had a fantastic night. I'd highly recommend to anyone in the area - skip the Tilted Kilt - this is the real deal.

I love this place. The staff is really friendly, they have great atmosphere, a large selection of beer, wine and liquors, and the food is great too. Especially the mozzarella sticks. I know its not your typical Irish grub, but they put any Italian restaurant's to shame. But don't worry, I spied plenty of traditional fare on the menu as well.

Pretty solid Irish bar food. The "small portions" are quite adequate. If you have a hearty appetite, try eating a whole plate of fish 'n chips in one seating. I certainly can't! Finley's has a decent sized bar area, a small stage where bands play and people who host trivia Wednesday night, set up. There are even a few patio tables outside for dining alfreso. The atmosphere is friendly and there's a feel that Finley's is a neighborhood dive where all the locals know one anothers' names.

Still one of our favorite places. The food is better than your average bar food and priced very low. Always goo ld entertainment and always a full house, but seats available.

No respectable Irish Pub should be this blase about the World Cup. Somewhere in Ireland, futbol hooligans died several deaths when this place had to be begged into turning off the cheesy 80s pop and turning up the World Cup. Let me repeat: THE WORLD CUP, the thing the Irish live and die for. But eventually, three separate requests to three separate people, from our much-drinking, some eating, table of 7, the volume was turned up, with a stern warning that "the band starts at 8, so we'll have to turn the game volume off then." Oh really? An "Irish Pub" didn't think that the biggest international sporting event of the year might warrant some special exceptions, such as postponing the house band by 30 minutes? We weren't the only ones watching, either. Many other people were, too. Definitely won't be back here for anything soccer related. Straight to Flanagan's, Grindhouse, or MacDinton's next time. Hell, the Mellow Mushroom was better than this. I also won't be back for another reason: crappy service. I sat dry for half an hour while the waiter was finding out about the game volume. After the game and two happy hour draft beers (everyone else had *much* more to drink, AKA spent much more), I cashed out, noting that my check was $14.75. Upon closer inspection, I had been charged for extra beers, but also at a much higher rate than I've *ever* paid for non-craft beers. Don't get me wrong; I'm not a stingy drinker. I buy $12 cocktails on a regular basis. But $15 for two run-of-the-mill (and their beer selection is definitely run-of-the-mill) draughts seemed a bit excessive. I asked the server about it, and she asked if she could give me cash back to make the difference, and I said yes, then sat patiently and waited. She came back and asked for my card back; I gave it to her. After another extended period of time, I went to the bar to see if everything was okay. She finally handed me the adjusted receipt with no explanation of what had gone wrong, how much beers were actually supposed to cost, or really any words. It was $10, which still seems pricey for HH drafts, but I paid it and tipped 50% (because even if your server is incompetent, still tip well). Needless to say, I will *never* be back to this "Irish Pub." Ever.

There are divey Irish pubs. There are Irish pub wannabes like O'Charleys. Then there are places in between like Finley's. You can get your standard pub fare of cornbeef and cabbage or fish and chips but you won't find anything too exotically Irish. They have an OK selection of beer. I wasn't too impressed. The liquor selection was standard. Seems like the kind of place people hang out at after work or where the casual locals go to take a smoke and lunch break on a hot afternoon. There are plenty TV's for watching sports. Bottom line: Go here for some bar fare on the fly.

I love this place! Good food, great staff and an excellent beer selection. Finley's has the rare "Cheers" atmosphere where bartenders and regulars alike will greet you with a smile and a handshake. The team here also maintains an excellent social outing routine (golf, bowling...) to benefit local charities. I highly recommend...tell John and Mark I said "hi", too!

Finley's was another great find thanks to Yelp and my buddy Jerry G. I have been driving past this plaza for the last 11 years on the way to work and never really noticed Finley's. If I had noticed them, I wouldn't expect the amazing interior based on the outside look. The outside decor of Finley's looks like any typical corner cafe or plaza restaurant. Once you walk inside, you forget that you are in a plaza. The bar is gorgeous and nice and dark. Attached to the bar area is a dining area with booths and tables. There are t.v.'s everywhere to catch your favorite games. It is a very laid back and inviting atmosphere. We ordered the Irish Potat'O Skins to start our meal. We ordered them the original way, but you can sub out the bacon for chili or shepherd's pie filling which is awesome. The best part of these potato skins was the Guinness gravy that was served with them. Who would have thought to dip bacon potato skins into gravy? Certainly not I , but I can tell you that I will from this point on always wish that I had a side of that gravy to go with my potato skins at any restaurant. I had a Cajun Dip and my Husband had a Guinness Banger Hoagie for our meals and we ordered tater tots to split for a side. The sandwiches were amazing. They had lots of flavor, melted cheese and something to dip them in. Score. I think I actually liked my Husband's Banger Hoagie (which came with gravy) even better than my Cajun Dip. I would order both of them again. The tater tots were nice and crisp with the perfect amount of salt. Our one complaint about this pub is the beer selection. While we do like Smithwick's, they were out of it and several of their 13 beers that they keep on tap. While we can be satisfied enough with a Black and Tan, we wish that they had a larger selection. They do have wine, liquor and mixed drinks as well...so that is a plus. Overall, great service, great food and an awesome environment. We will definitely be returning and spending more time at Finley's. Next up: Fish and Chips.

Love this place! I come here at least once a week. Food is always great! I've had almost everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. They also currently have hosted trivia every Wednesday night starting at 7pm. It's a fun and exciting way to spend time with friends during the week whole enjoying great food!!

Have to say will not go into this place for food again. My mom got shepherds pie meat was raw as we speak she is still throwing up. I went right home and brushed my teeth to get taste out of my mouth from my food. Not very good they took my moms food off never seen a manager to say sorry or anything. Waste of money.

Was in the mood for some Bangers & Mash so thought I'd check this place out. It didn't blow me away, but it was pretty good. The sausage wasn't like your typical sausage, it was local, had a good flavor and the gravy was top notch.

As promised, we have returned several times and have eaten our way through most of the menu. Not one single dish has disappointed and that's a hard thing to do. Our favorites remain the buffalo shrimp (these bad boys are FRESH and you can taste it, no frozen pre fab bullshit here) and the fiver onion soup. Possibly the best soup ever! Salads are great, sandwiches are too, the roast beef is really good. The ruben, however remains a stand out. This can easily be split between two people and still result in very full people. Even something so pedesterian as french fries are fantastic here. Attention to detail happens here with every dish that comes out. I would be remiss if I didn't take the time to mention the fantastic staff. Mark, Megan and Jen are always spot on. Alcohol, did I forget to mention the drinks? Silly me lol. Wells are $3.75 and ALWAYS two for one. That makes for some mighty fine weekend day drinkin right there! Thank you Finley's for becoming my Cheers!

I went with a girlfriend and a few of her friends to mainly have a few drinks..We of course started to see all these dishes of yummy food walking by us so we couldn't resist! I had a corned beef sandwich and my friends shared fish and chips, cheese sticks, chicken tenders and everything was amazing. I would come back and for sure bring more of my friends, the prices are fair, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is fun..we went on a Thursday night and they had a live band! Happy hour is til 7 DAILY! Geez! My new place to be

Excellent service, great Irish favorites. Nice sports bar, with Irish flare. Great non chain restaurant. The Shepherds pie was a little too creamy for my liking, but hot and tasty. Perfect French dip. 11 tvs, weeknight entertainment.

A year ago when I first started Yelping, I wrote a review for this Pub. A four word review.....Outstanding Fish and Chips!........quite a review, lol. I'd like to think I've grown (not just in girth) as far as being a reviewer for Yelp. Hopefully this review makes up for my original 4 word review. This is my go to stop for ....yes.... Outstanding Fish and Chips, comfort food, and more. The service is fast, efficient, and friendly. The menu is extensive too. They have close to 20 appetizers ranging from standard fare to Reuben Rolls, egg rolls stuffed with corned beef, cabbage, and Swiss cheese with thousand island dressing. Beer battered mushrooms fried and served with horseradish sauce. Wings of many different heat settings, also teriyaki, BBQ, Parmesan garlic, and blackened. How about a heart stopper of Tater Tots loaded with bacon and cheese! A onion soup named the "Fiver" incorporates leeks, shallots, red, white, and green onions topped with melted Swiss and Provolone cheese. Very flavorful. Salads. I counted eight different choices of salads. Their burgers are 9oz of fresh ground beef made to your liking. Of course they have the classic style sandwiches turkey, ham & cheese, BLT, etc. Also a Roast Beef Cajun Dip, with Cajun spices. Meatloaf sandwich with grilled onions. Cheese steaks and several types of wraps. Finley's house specialties are top notch. Of course any Irish Pub worth there salt must have Corned Beef and Cabbage. The Shepherds Pie is unique with the addition of caramelized onions and also Guinness gravy. Liver and Onions (my wife loves this), Bangers and Mash, Irish pork sausage with mashed potatoes, mushroom and onion gravy, veggies. DrUnKEN CHicKeN, chicken breast sautéed with Irish Whiskey, cream and mushrooms, with mashed potatoes and veggies. Lets not forget the Fish and Chips. Beer battered, served with fries and coleslaw. The fish they use is called Swai. Swai is a farm raised fish similar to catfish, and is usually imported from SE Asia. It's a delicate flavored white fish that is supposed to be very healthy too. Remembering that this is a Pub, they have a full liquor bar and also 13 fine beers on tap. 12 satellite TVs. At night they have trivia games and also some live music. A little something for everyone. Finley's is located just South of Ulmerton Rd on the NE corner of Belcher Rd. in a strip mall. Oh yes, Outstanding Fish and Chips! Check them out. finleysirishpub.com

Craic was flowing the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day. I would not have been disappointed if a Leprechaun had showed up. Good conversation, good fun, good music, good food, and good beer all flowed with joy and merriment. It was busy and not long before I was being asked to share table space with other patrons. It was an awesome evening offering something for young and old alike; decked in green and children dancing to jigs teaching the hand and arm movements. This was inside. Outside they had a tent that extended the festivities. The cool thing is this was nothing new in my experience it was simply Finley's on steroids. This is the first place I went to that when you order a Guinness they drizzle a clover in the foam. So whether you are looking for a big party like this one or a quaint spot for dinner and a drink you will find the same hearty essence in the food, service, and fun. Aside from enjoying and getting to know my table mates throughout the evening I enjoyed Guinness with Corned Beef and Cabbage. Typically you can expect the Guinness in a nice glass; unfortunately, the only downside to this event was the plastic cups (party you know). Don't get me wrong I would not wish washing this many glasses on anyone; so I fully agree and see the point. As for the Corned Beef and Cabbage; it was excellent and reflected the quality and portions I have had previously at Finley's. This was very savory with long strips of corned beef, absolutely huge potato slices (approximately 3" diameter and 1/2" thick) on a mound of cabbage. Definitely satisfying. On previous a visit I had tried their Liver and Onions with broccoli and carrots; it was the same thing with the vegetables "huge". When I first pulled into the lot I noticed the big tent and thought the music was going to be outside. Well to my delight it was not long after getting my meal that a couple showed up to play Irish jigs with expected and spontaneous audience participation. It was so much fun that it was hard to not tap on the table or even jump up and dance. Several of the songs were 'sing-a-long" with hand signals which were led by a couple of young girls about 5 or 6 years old. It was impressive how undaunted they were to be in front of such a large crowd. The family touch was the icing on top of a wonderful evening. The term Craic became a reality in its definition of fun, enjoyable conversation, and entertainment. All of which I am sure you will find in various volumes at Finley's. But know that you will always find it.
