Pizzeria Oceano Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. Try out the salads as they are not only healthy but also keeps you full for a longer period. However, you must ensure that you don't order the salads without any extra dressing.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

Weak pizza. Weak sauce. Quality is OK. Rude server. Weak sides. Can do much better by not trying so hard.

$5 narragansetts in Lantana.... Sure, yeah, okay. Really great pizza even though they've raised the price over 20% in about a year to exploitative levels (see $5 narragansetts in Lantana)

Let me start off by saying that my S.O. and I have dined here over 7 times, and each time was better than the last. The first time we tried to eat here, they informed us that they only make as much pizza as they have dough for the day - in my opinion, that's a super plus. You KNOW their ingredients are fresh, and the pizza chef even described the local markets he nabbed their fresh items from THAT morning. I always dine inside at the bar; it's small, cozy, and you also get to sit right in front of the chef (watching him design and cook the pizza's in the coal oven is magical!) Let me tell you, these flavors are intense - VERY creative, amazing combinations that ALWAYS please the palate. The menu is different every day. Just a few words of advice: 1.) Cash Only - they do not take any other form of payment. They have an ATM available inside, though. 2.) They do NOT offer take-out, so don't ask. 3.) If you plan on sitting inside, refrain from putting on cologne or perfume (or if you have it on, make sure it isn't prominent) or they will ask you to sit outside. 4.) Have an open mind - their flavors are incredible, and even if it sounds strange or like something you might not like, just give it a try. I've never been disappointed and ALWAYS clear the entire pizza platter. 5.) They fill up quickly, and there is very limited seating, so don't be surprised if you can't get in for a while. All in all, this is one of my favorite places to eat that has friendly service, unique flavors, and worth the drive every time.

Awesome place. period. menu changes daily which is very cool. The pizza toppings are constantly changing and really great. I'm with Mike C completely on this one. This is a hole in the wall kind of place. Complaining about the amount of seating, cash only, absence of hours on the website and no indoor seating is well purely silly. Reviews like this just sound like you don't know how to appreciate eating outside in Florida (which is great in the evening) or a "mom and pop" type of place. It also sounds like many of you are confused about different types of pizza. Of course the service isn't like going to Cafe Boulud, but this obviously isn't that kind of place. For a thin crust, creative pizza this is the place to go in South Florida. PS: this place isn't expensive unless you are in college and/or eating like a teenage football player.

Eating at this restaurent is a unique experience. The restaurant itself is no frills but the food is truly different.

Want pepperoni? Want to order a pie with a name like "Supreme"? Or do you want to take it to go or pay by credit card? Well, I can't help but say "No Pizza for You!" This place is not for those that are satisfied by the big brand pizza shops that deliver your pie in 45 or less. This is for the lover of pizza, fresh ingredients, and a staff that is not willing to jeopardize the quality of the product just to make you happy. They know they have a good product and they know, if you take a chance, you will like just as they made it. Stop by with an open mind and some patience as I hear they only have one oven and they are always really busy. The seating outside is nice and comfy and if Ocean Ave had more walking traffic it would be a great place to people watch. Instead just enjoy the fresh air. They have apps and good beer so make sure to order something to nibble on and a few beers while you wait for your pie. We ordered the classic and a mustard green pizza that was to die for. The menu changes daily so be prepared to not see the same thing next time. However, I am sure the classic is always available.

Don't read another review. I am the truth. I know food. Pizzeria Oceano is one the best culinary excursions in South Florida. Always creative, always fresh, only the best. From the appetizers to the pizza Oceano always excels no matter what the medium. I personally enjoy fresh plant based foods that are locally sourced and artfully used and Oceano gets 5 stats everytime. The guy who was upset because they were cash only and not open when it was convenient for him is clueless. He has obviously never run a business and paid merchant fees on credit cards and since he preffered the key lime house to this gem he obviously know little if anything about quality cuisine. I am the truth. I am a food fanatic. Give me your hand and I will show you the way.

A couple of weeks ago my daughter announced she had the best pizza she has every eaten. Having had some great pies in my day, I simply said. Aha, cool. Yesterday we all went to try this great pizza. Well I do have to say it is pretty fantastic.

I tried this place based on a recommendation. My salad was weird. The pizza was unfulfilling, kind of sparsely layered, the crust burned in several places. The waitress was snooty. I left, walked down to the Old Key Lime House and pigged out on French fries.

This is the BEST pizza spot in Florida IVE EVER HAD hands down. I'm a pizza lover, and i had to try this place since a friend told me how critical they are about there pies. I thought it was too good to be true, he told me i should watch out about the service and what to say and not ask about, no perfumes or colognes, no substitutions or take out either. I 100% agree with what he's doing. The only way to judge a slice of pizza is directly from the oven, and the way he runs the show which prepping the night before everything they plan to run though makes freshness a absolute certainty, and waste at a minimal, and if you have take out you have to prep way more and possibly prep too much or too little. I've been here 4 times in total, 3 of the times i watch Dak the chef make the pies, and in my head I'm like this place can't be perfect CANT BE. So i play this game to try to see if he messes up making a pie or lets something slip that's not on par. NOPE never... not to say he hasn't messed up, but if he did he started the pie over without even second guesses. that's a perfectionist. He takes pride in each pie that leaves the oven 1 at a time catering to the pie to achieve a perfect crisp crust, with just the right ratio of toppings / sauce / cheese. I've had 2 different takes of the peperoni pies, BOTH were amazing, but a few friends thought the jalapenos were too hot on 1(wimps) 1 basic ,1 White pie. and a black and white pie - ALL AMAZING. Everything is well balanced and goes beautifully with each other, and so for this place i have to take my hat off to the chef and say THANK YOU, NEVER CLOSE

Finally, a restaurant experience rousing enough to get me to write a yelp review. I've heard about this place through a few foodie friends of mine and I must say it did sound really cool: small menu that was made daily, wood-burning oven pizza, cash only, etc. The only problem was that it is way up in Lantana (well, the only problem that was apparent through checking out their website...). But hey, fine, it's close to Due South Brewery, let's make it a night. Wife and I got the babysitter set up and we embarked on one of our far-too-scarce date nights. We got there at 8:15, a time I don't think anyone would consider 'too late' to go out for dinner, especially when the restaurant doesn't open until 6pm (from their website). Cute little place, not much seating inside, but what was not so cute was the woman who greeted us, or should I say addressed, as we entered the door: Me: "Hi, could we have a table for two, please?" Her: "Uh, we are sold out." Me, clearly confused: "Oh, sold out? Like you're booked for the night?" Her: "We are sold out of food," as she steps away to run some of this elusive food. Dumbfounded, we stood there with what had to have been some of the most extreme representations of 'WTF?' that faces can make. The one positive experience out of this whole ordeal was that soon after this happened, a gentleman came up to me and my wife and attempted to coach us through what had just went down. He explained that what she meant was that they make a limited amount of dough everyday, pointing to their daily menu. He told us that they were actually 'sold out' by around 7, showing us his list of names, and how the last table was just about to be sat. He went on to inform us that most of their guests that night had arrived before 6pm and that it is common practice to do so, as they frequently sell all their food by around 7-8pm. Encouraging us to come back again soon, he also advised us to check out their website for more information. We both used the bathroom as we had just been in the car for an hour. Before awkwardly exiting the scene, I counted the number of names on their guest list. 24 names, with 2 yet to be crossed out. I was curious to see how many people it must take to sell a restaurant out of food in a single hour of being opened. Not that many, I guess. Too confused to be angry (that came later), we went back to our car and desperately began yelping to find an alternative. Needless to say, won't be back.

Reviews have spoken very highly of this place. We were planning on dinner Saturday night and looking forward to their highly rated pizza. Unfortunately the place was closed. In bewilderment we asked some locals passing by if this was the right place. They informed they are open at will. We had attempted to call prior but the number was no longer active. Disappointed it was closed on a Saturday night. Good luck

I've been coming here for over four years. I have never had a bad or just Okay meal here ever. The chef/owner Dak is truly an artist and I always enjoy watching him do what he does best which is make killer food. As others have mentioned the menu changes daily and all of the ingredients are fresh. Dak makes his own mozzarella and pizza dough. He even grows his own basil. I came here last night and had his wing beans appetizer which consisted of fennel seed, crispy salame, tomato, goat feta and a fried shallot. all I can say is that it was awesome. The texture and flavors that the ingredients brought together were phenomenal. I went with his basic pie and added garlic to it. The pie was excellent as it always is. It has just the right amount of crunch to it and it is slightly charred on the bottom. I love watching him work his magic at the oven. He is constantly spinning and moving the pie around in the oven. He is so detail oriented so each pie is cooked to perfection. You really can see the love that he puts into his food which seems to be so rare these days. He also only cooks one pie at a time which I think is great. In conclusion if you appreciate phenomenal food that is creative and fresh Pizzeria Oceano is for you. Three important points are, cash only, don't wear perfume or cologne if you want to sit inside and lastly wait patiently for your food it will be well worth it.

My husband and I had our first date here years ago and fell instantly in love. The chef owner use to have a lot of fun with his creative and delicious pizza menu! We watched the menu stray farther and farther from pizza and into other dishes over the years and now they don't serve pizza at all. Their answer to this, a new location called Swell in Delray, pales in comparison to what use to be Pizzeria Oceano. And with basically 3 items on the menu to boot...you can get additional pizza toppings on the side. How pretentious and inhospitable. To us, it's a sad turn they've taken. We use to recommend this place to everyone...

This is an unexpected find in Lantana! Fantastic pizza and pasta, but this isn't a red sauce joint. Menu changes daily and always includes creative dishes using local ingredients. Impressive beer and wine selection too. Just know, when you dine here you're in good hands. Also, some of the freshest seafood being served here. The guy with the catch brings it straight off the boat.

Went a few months ago. It took forever to even be greeted & we aren't impatient people. The owner (or manager) was only helping the solo server with the guests he knew, which came off as ridiculously snobbish. We waited a long time to place the food order also. Inquiry into a second round only happened at nearly the end of the meal. Soup- delicious. Pizza, pretty damn good, although we were surprised that the special pork (lardo) was not pulled pork style as you'd think -with all the hype about what awesome foodies the owners/ website claims- but deli style slices of processed looking pork. Still kinda tasty but not to the eye & mind after viewing processed meat, although maybe that's the only way that it can be utilized ( molded into the form of a canned ham ). ? I think I'll take my time coming back if ever, not that they give a sh!+ about my repeat biz., as small as the bldng. is, they have enuf of their own click swarming the place becuz wealthy retirees don't cook! I can still appreciate the wood burning scent in the air each night though, as I live very nearby. So I hope it stays open for mostly that reason only ! You can have the place, I don't need the b.s. & propaganda.

We had to see what all the hype was about and I have to say we were all disappointed. The food was good but the over all experience was not enjoyable at all. We had four people and had to wait an hour to get sat since they have very little seating. The outdoor seating they have is barely covered so we had to hold umbrellas for half the meal since it was raining. Staff was friendly but very flustered since everyone comes at once and the guy seating us sat another group that came after us before we were sat. They have very limited options (no pepperoni) to add to the pizza. The two pizzas we ordered took around 35-40 minutes to get to the table

I will NEVER go back again. Maybe the worst service I've ever had. We were there on a Friday night. My party of four ordered 2 fish soup appetizers and 3 pizzas. A pretty substantial order. 45 minutes later we still have yet to receive our soups even though a party who arrived/ordered after us received their soup. The waitress and the manager never bothered to check on us or apologize for the wait. Even when we told the manager we were canceling our order and leaving there was no hesitation or attempt to make things right. He just said casually, "Okay." The waitress then came over with the check for the beer we ordered, took our money, and brought back the change all without a single word. I will NEVER go back again.

Be ready to eat the best pizza you've probably ever had and made with the finest ingredients. Be ready to wait. Be ready to be told what to do. Be ready to pay cash only. This place is not about you it's about the food they put out. Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode about the soup.

After hearing about this place for far longer than I can recall and talking about going for an equally long time the girlfriend and I finally went to the "infamous" Pizzeria Oceano in Lantana. My initial reaction to the place itself is something from the Jersey boardwalk. It's a nice wooden patio/deck with white lights hanging overhead. Inside is a small bar that sits 4-6 people and a small table for 2 over to the side. There a few tables outside on the patio but it was raining quite hard this night. We actually think the rain worked in our favor as we got a seat at the bar without any issues. The place makes no bones about things being their way or the highway. It's cash only but there is an ATM on site. They open around 6ish. If they aren't ready, they don't open until they are ready. No substitutions. They post their daily menu on their website ahead of time so you can plan if you want to go in or not. They do have their basic pie that you can add things onto but you can't do anything with the specialty ones. There is no take out and they have no phone. Groups of 5 or more may not be accommodated. Did I mention it's small? People that complain about long waits at this place either have severe mental issues that prevent them from comprehending that small, busy places will take awhile for you to be seated or you are a self entitled asshat that believes every business in the world should cater to you and only you. Anyway back to our experience. We had our drink order taken by Jay, who was extremely polite and asked if we had any questions about the menu. They have a nice craft beer selection in bottles and cans, which they rotate, and a little bit of wine for the vine lovers. We opted for their standard pie that has tomato sauce, mozzarella, pecorino and baby spinach. We added capicola to ours. We watched as the pizza chef behind the bar made our pizza right in front of us. In no time flat we had it in front of us (yes again, it was not busy on a rainy night). The pizza was nothing less than superb. I loved the crunch of the crust mixed with the gooey cheese, rich sauce and salty capicola. The baby spinach adds a nice extra dimension as well. The girlfriend, who notoriously is a light eater, finished her entire half of the pizza. Believe me, this is a big feat for her and a huge compliment to how much she enjoyed this pie. We opted for dessert, which was a blueberry and lime yogurt loaf. I admit that I hadn't the faintest idea what these words in that order meant but what the hell. I was pleasantly surprised with a slice of a loaf that appeared to have yogurt and blueberries baked into it. Powder sugar topped it off. It was quite delicious. The tartness of the blueberries intermingled with the acidic natural of the lime and the mouthfeel of the yogurt quite well. Yes as many people have pointed out they are a bit pricey but you are paying for what you are getting. And what you are getting is some of the freshest ingredients available that are purchased, most of the time, that same day from local businesses. I would rather pay a little more for great quality and to support locals over saving money on processed garbage. There was no smug or rude behavior from the staff that I saw. They did turn away a group of 5 because they simply had no space due to the rain but Jay was more than polite and the group completely understood. Again, most people that complain were probably assholes to the staff after they were initially told something politely and think they can just walk all over a business' employees. To conclude, I buy the hype on Pizzeria Oceano. I drink the Kool Aid. I swear my soul. These folks make awesome pizza with local, quality ingredients in a small, fun location. If you can't appreciate this place, good, leave it to those of us that do. And there are a lot of us.

I love any place that gets only LOVE OR HATE reviews. That says a lot. Btw, why does anyone even give 2,3 or 4 stars anyway? If you don't feel strongly about a place one way or another why are you taking time to review? Shut up! You clearly are just "needy" to let people know about your average opinion, your average life and your average review. I digress. This place deserves LOVE. Why? They are true to their craft and don't compromise. They don't care if you "don't get it". Hence the 1 stars. Trust me. If you do "get it" you will appreciate the dedication to quality and freshness. Even if the hours of operation are sporadic. I drive by on a regular basis only in hope they are open. When they aren't open, I only long for the next time I am lucky enough to drive by and find they are.

Finally made it to Oceano on a day it was open, and in a state of starvation, but I had to wait and drool while the doors stayed closed until about 5:40. I'd read the menu online hours earlier and was ready to order immediately. The menu changes daily, which is a good thing reflecting the use of only the freshest ingredients. I ordered an appetizer of "lardo with grapes" on lightly toasted bread (a little steeply priced at $9), one regular Margherita Pizza and one of the rotating special pizzas of the night (there are usually 3 pizza options), which was the White Pizza. Waitress was friendly and competent, and everything satisfied my ravenous hunger. I think I could have eaten almost an entire pie myself, so if you go with a group of 4 as I did, you will need to order 2 pies if not 3, which would give you an opportunity to try all of the pies on the menu that day. I still have concerns recommending Oceano based on the irregular hours, cash-only pricing, communication challenges (no phone number or answering machine if you manage to find the number), and the wait time (which I'm told can be lengthy though I arrived at opening to avoid this problem). Also this is a mostly outdoor venue (some seating inside, but if you go more likely you will be at an outdoor covered table), so this would be a difficult place to dine in our summer, in our tropical rain, or in times of heavy mosquito infestation, which is pretty frequently. Bottom line: the pizza was very good, maybe even 4/5 (my 3/5 rating reflects the whole experience), but not the best I've had in South Florida (that crown goes to Lucali in Miami Beach) and not something I would drive from Miami/FLL for. I was so hungry that this could have easily been the best pizza I'd ever had, but wasn't. But if I lived nearby, and the weather was right for outside dining, I'd be a regular. PS: The dessert (which probably also changes daily) was a banana coconut rum cream pie which was really incredible - if I lived nearby I'd also be finding out where that came from and visiting frequently. If you want to know if Oceano is open, find the website, and look at the menu. If it shows the current day of the week, assume it opens "around" 5:30 on that day, but don't come too late because the closing time is also unpredictable.

This was easily one of the top 5 pizzas of my life, if not the best ever. For what it's worth, I grew up on Long Island, went to school in Brooklyn, and worked in NYC. So I've gone through some pretty good pizza. I've had much of the best of NYC including Rays, Johns, Keste, Don Antonio etc. And more recently, in Florida, I've enjoyed Harry's, of course Anthony's, Tucci's, Nick's, Scuola Vecchia, and more. But Pizzeria Oceano has got to be at or very close to the top. The service is friendly and excellent. I saw zero "Food Nazi" encounters. I think one server (excellent) was "Jay" and then there was another, Erik, who was just terrific. As I was sitting at the counter, a farmer walked in with boxes of fresh local greens (arugula, basil, etc) and delivered them to the kitchen. Minutes later, I was enjoying some of the basil on my slices. Open Tuesday-Saturday from appx 5:30 until not sure. Cash only, expect a wait, just chill. Good craft beers and wine.

Don't waste your time on this place. This pizza is just average and you wait forever to get a table and then your pizza. I think the prices are too high. They won't let you get take out. Also, you have to order at least 2 pizzas to feel full when you leave because the pies are pretty small. Not worth it.

This is the best pizza I've ever had in the United States!! I've been to Italy several times and it's as good as they make in the small towns of Tuscany!! Everything is amazing. The Gem of Palm Beach County!! The appetizers were fabulous as well. Can't wait to go back!!!

This is the best restaurant in the lake worth/lantana area! Yes, you may have to wait for a table, yes, you will most likely have to wait for your food, but it's worth it! Life is not always about instant gratification, sometimes sublime cuisine takes time.

Favorite date night place ever! Admittedly, we're there about once a week and have never ordered a single regretful meal. The black and white Gruyere pizza and the kielbasa escarole were of my two top favs. The menu changes daily and is small but interesting. Food is always super fresh. Staff is minimal and because the place is popular, it can take a little while for food to arrive but there's always good music, great craft beer/wine and apps to delight upon in the interim. For the lover of creative, non-chain restaurants, this place is a must!!!!!!

Gourmet pizza! Cute and cozy. Little place mostly outside seating. Get there early because I've gone around 8 and they ran out of dough, twice. Ingredients are fresh and the beer selection is great. The only downside is that the chef will not add toppings to the specialty pies.

Right up my alley. Its cuisine, its inventive, organic and local. Ahhhh. I want it right now. I personally love that the owner dictates the limited offerings and combinations and hope whiny diners stay far far away.

DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER...or this place! Outside seating, don't be in a hurry, cash only..yeah but the experience of eating food is taken to a new level. I've never been disappointed and above all inspired and delighted! Atomsphere is cool , causal vibe and food prepared by someone who is a true artist and obviously has a passionate for his craft!

I gave one start because the food was just okay. The pizza was over cooked, could not eat the crust because it was burned that was the one star. We waited 1 hour and 25 minutes before we got a soup and a couple that came after us got all their food before we did. I felt discriminated for the first time. The waiter did not think anybody notice what was happening until another couple witness what occur and they walked out. What they saw was that we were Hispanic and the other couple were Caucasian. I guess this ls the first time and last time we go to pizzeria oceano. I will report this to the BBB.

This place is a place that tries so hard at not trying hard, it hurts. Think about that...then continue with the read. Pizzeria Oceano seems to have all the right moves. Namely, a cool, simple menu that's changed daily. Beers you've never heard of, a wine list with great, simple options, a tiny, cozy vibe, and cool location. They even have attitude. The kind of attitude that usually accompanies greatness. This joint takes a seemingly paradoxical approach at what is typical in the hospitality and food service business. With "cojones" that big, you gotta perform. However, it really doesn't. The pizza, which is obviously the main plate at Pizzeria Oceano is simply slightly above average. The super creative salads were good, but not great. Flavors seemed bland in both pizzas and salads. Dinner and drinks for 4 of us was $160.00, before tip. Oh, and they only accept cash. This means that they not only have average pizza that is super hyped-up, but possibly that they like to evade the uncle we all love to hate, Uncle Sam. Try it, go ahead. It's not bad...but it's not all that they pretend to be.

If you are flexible and you understand what the experience is about, you'll love it. Outdoor seating, cash only, no special requests on the menu. A daily menu is published on their website, and that's it - you cannot special request anything to have it your way, so forget it. There's an ATM on-site. Food was exquisite - coarse grits with rappini starter was over-the-top delicious, pizza and heirloom tomato salad were also excellent and perfectly prepared. Dinner for 3 with 2 starters (around $10 each) and 1 pizza ($17) and a bottle of good wine, tip, was around $90. Well worth the price. Chef is careful with ingredients and talented in how he puts things together. Great meal with friends.

Let me start by saying I have waited a few years to write this review because quite frankly I want the place to remain steady not over crowded. But after reviewing a few of these comments it's a must at this point. I also want to preface this review with the obvious for those that cannot grasp Florida cuisine. This is not New York or Chicago or some other over crowded dilapidated city where you came from and the pizza is so magical for you. This is South Florida and within the city limits of Palm Beach, this is hands down the best pizza for someone who enjoys excellent ingredients with a local touch. If your interested in stuffing your family of four with a few heavy carb and protein loaded pies in less than 30 minutes and for less than $30, you can find about 200 of those places throughout the county. There's nothing wrong with that, you simply won't enjoy this establishment. If you are absent of U.S. currency and only pay with some form of plastic or carry your check book around, this isn't going to work for you. If your unable to connect the dots when a phone isn't answered it may be because they are closed or you can't do take out or discuss your gluten allergies with the chef, this isn't the place for you. If your going to take your precious time to write a review about a restaurant's fare, be fair about the taste and content of the food. Quite frankly nobody cares about your average service experience or your inability to infer opening and closing times or how long you drove to get there. It's not a cheap place, it's not a typical portion for the the average rotund American. What it is, is a unique refined eating experience for those that have an appreciation for something simple yet exquisite for their palate. It's that simple, the food is phenomenal.

Anyone who ranks this place less than 5 stars, is lying or has no taste buds. You will be hard pressed to find food this good anywhere else in Palm Beach or Broward. These guys do it right, the dough is made fresh everyday as is everything else they serve on a daily basis. In life you get what you pay for, Pizzeria Oceano is not cheap but they are the best I have had in Florida by far. Check the menu out daily on there site as it constantly changes.

Delicious pizza! Thin crust, fresh ingredients, all organic. Great selection of gourmet pizzas. Small layout (outdoor seating) and charming ambiance. Good location. Staff is very helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place if your in the mood for a delish, fresh pizza! *Accepts cash only*

Great little mom and pop type place with great pizza and salads that have creative and fresh ingredients. Interesting beer list as well. But be prepared for cash only, no take out, no substitutions and the possibility of the kitchen running out of dough-early. We call the owner the Pizza Nazi. He does it his way. Like it or leave. Good food but be prepared to be frustrated at some point.

The freshest, most delicious pie EVER!! Fresh, local and mostly organic ingredients. Jay really knows his stuff. I love watching his response to the demanding Palm Beacher's who think they are entitled for his attention the second they seat themselves. This is not a place to hurry along. This is a place to sit, drink specialty beers and wine and wait for for masterpieces to be brought to you. It gets crowded but worth the wait. Delicious chef specialty pies (dont try to change ingredients!) No take out, no call aheads. CASH ONLY!!! Mmmm, tho. Black n white and Soupie pie soo good. Nom!!!

We went here on Friday night after one of our neighbors recommended the place. As a pizza lover, I thought this place was great, my husband was less impressed. This is tiny place right on Ocean Ave. in east Lantana, the seating is limited to an open air deck and a small counter space inside. We sat the counter which I thought was fun because we watched our food being prepared. This place reminds me of the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, the menu is small, changes daily, you cannot make any changes to the menu items, and they only take cash. We had the Shrimp Louis salad which consisted of white shrimp on a bed of bibb lettuce, with shredded cheese and hard boiled egg. The shrimp was in a louis sauce. For pizza we had Spring Raab pizza which I thought was great. Pizza was prepared with mozzarella, parmesan, lemon and olive oil and the spring raab was draped over the pizza as the primary topping. The crust of the pizza was crisp and the flavor from the wood oven was great. The price for pizza was not cheap, but well worth it in my mind. If you are not a pizza lover, i.e. my husband, you may not be as thrilled with this place since it centers on the pizza. The beer list was ecletic and interesting but I needed help picking out a lighter beer since I was unfamiliar with most of the offerings. I thought the food was superb. But not giving it 5 stars because of ambiance, too small, and attitude (I understand the point behind no substitutions/additions, but it was a bit too much and seemed sorta unfriendly).

Outstanding pizza! Sides vary and there are some challenges as mentioned by other fans but few places compare for wonderful fresh made gourmet pizza. We have taken home our left overs many times. Pizza to go was not offered. Wish they were open for lunch!

I tend to be the guy that people text or call for advice about many aspects of life, but especially food. I have never written a critique about food or about a restaurant, but I spend many hours telling people where they should eat and what they should eat. So here is my first written critique: Pizzeria Oceano kicks serious butt! The chef is clearly a culinary artist, who is not only intensely passionate about the dishes he creates, but also is obessed with the quality and sources of his ingredients. As a snobbish foodie, I never thought that a casual pizza spot would be at the top of my list of favorites, but this place is at the pinnacle. This guy makes not only his own dough and sauce, he even makes his own cheese. In fact, I took a chef friend to dine there one night, but the restaurant was closed. Pizzeria Oceano's chef was there, though, and told me he had not been able to get, locally, the cheese curd he uses to make his cheese, and he was not satisfied with the cheese he had made with a different curd. He was going to get up at 4:00AM the next morning and drive to Orlando to get his favored curd for the next night. On a different night, he was not serving pizzas because he was not satisfied with the rising and consistency of the dough. Such perfection and artistry equal mastery.

If I could I wouldn't even give this place a star. I have gone there three times, each time the service got worse but tonight was the tip of the iceberg. The owner or manager, whoever he was, the dark haired young man was extremely rude. I work in the customer service industry and that is not how you treat a customer. Our food came 3 hours later, NO JOKE! our appetizer came 3 hours after we ordered it. When we complained about the timing, the manager or whoever he was said he was doing us a favor by telling us they were running low on dough. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! really, we don't need your favors, Thanks anyways. I will NEVER return to Pizzeria Oceano. I am very disappointed and I will never refer a friend or colleague there again.

My husband and I went here for a simple evening out of pizza at a neighborhood place. We walked in up to the bar thinking we would be able to order a pizza to go. We were immediatly greeted (well not so much a greet as a bark). with this introduction by a dark haired young man. "We are on a wait and this is not a place to sit" How very rude to greet us in such a manner. No good evening, how may I help you,or welcome. Just a were on wait and you can't sit here. We then aksed if we could order a pizza to go and a harsh "NO" we don't do take out was the reply. What pizza place doesn't do take out. We live around the corner and will most certainly NEVER return!!!!!!!!!

Every category gets 5 stars! Service, atmosphere, FOOD, friendliness. Their fresh, locally bought ingredients guarantee a delicious and unique dining experience every time. This family run, customer-focused restaurant is a do not miss if you're in Palm Beach County. Well worth the drive from Jupiter if you're north, or Boca if you're south.

Incredibly fresh ingredients and possibly the best pizza I've ever had. Love the outdoor deck. The menu is different everyday based on the ingredients that they can get in that day. They buy from local farms and often have organics on the menu. Staff is friendly and takes a lot of pride in the quality of their food. They offer unpretentious wines and hard-to-find beers.

We had an experience identical to Tina B -- a long wait, only to be told they'd run out of dough and all we could get was a salad. This is laughable arrogance. Now the place has become a running joke to us whenever we happen to drive by: Oh, it's Saturday night at 7 o'clock; do you think they've "run out of dough" yet? And, the pizza is only OK. You can get far better at Anthony's, with a lot less attitude. Skip this one. I'm truly surprised they've stayed in business. I'll never set foot there again.

Even though I find the "no customization" kind of chef generally obnoxious, this place definitely earns five stars from me - the food is just delicious. Very nice service too.
