Great service, food was excellent and the service from our waitress Karen S was excellent making the meal even more enjoyable. We had fish from the luncheon menu.

Just wanted to say that Olive Garden did follow through and contacted me. They offered to make it right, which I appreciate very much. I will go back to the restaurant. My youngest daughter LOVES their fettuccine alfredo.

Don't order to go. They get your order wrong! Worst Olive Garden I have been to. Skip it if you would please.

The Olive Garden has always been one of my favorite places, and was excited when a new location came to town. Nice decor and service has always been good. Went there for dinner a couple of days ago and was greatly disappointed! I love their lasagna, but this evening it was really bad. Tasted as though it was made days ago and had been warmed over several times. Was not fresh. I now understand why the Olive Garden restaurants are losing money.

I have to admit, reviewing a chain business has got to be the most worthless thing someone can do because they all are; quite literally; the same. it's an exercise in futility. people will go there regardless of the rating and eat anyway. they'll stay in business regardless of the ratings (people that are so proud to hate on mcdonalds but hey, mcdonalds is still here and these people are still socially retarded.) but here's the thing. while we have 2 olive gardens in lakeland, this one is better for the service. the one in north lakeland consistently has terrible service, and long wait times to find out the service is bad. it's also kind of silly but the last few times we've eaten there, we've been sat with the same shitty waitress that we know not only will she be bad but we can save money on the tip. we WANT to tip, but she's just so damn awful. i cant name names(because i would), but i can certainly pick her out if they havent wised up and dumped her since the last time we ate there(doubtful). as for this OG. my first impression was at lunch when they first opened. i was with a group of 6 from work and our waitress greeted us with "hi, i have a large party going on in the other room." this was a warning, because she told us immediately where she would be focusing her attention. we all ordered the unlimited soup and salad and it took 35 minutes for us to get our first round(after waiting 15 for her to come to our table to tell us about her larger party). she never checked on us for refills. we could not sit around and wait another 35 minutes for our refills on everything from our nonexistent server so i spoke with the manager and had our meals comped. this was at lunch time, that means 1 hour to get there, eat, and back to work. i havent seen that waitress there in a long time; but due to her, when i went to OG it was to the one north of town; figuring if i am going to have shitty service i may as well go with one that's near places i can do some errands with. after finally being over the mess from the one north(seriously, the same shitty server every time), we started to go to this one for dinners. it's been good. so if there's one take away from this review: all olive gardens are the same food. if you're judging this place(and by proxy all the others) based on food, there's something wrong with you, seriously. you are culinarily retarded. if you "can make it better at home"i suggest you do that. as well as "never leaving the house. ever." judging by the service and quality of the staff (as any chain should be judged)? this one is much better than the one by the mall. my girlfriend and i really like the endless pasta bowls and we eat as often as we can during that promotion. we'd eat there all the time if it wasnt an occasional promotion.

Excellent service and delicious food! Only waited a few minutes to be seated. Our waitress, Brandy, was excellent. Very attentive to our needs and helpful when we asked questions about the menu.

I really am not opposed to big chains when it comes to food, especially italian. Ive always had good meals from places like Olive Garden and Carrabas. Not at this particular location though, unfortunately. I ordered the same thing I always order, their 4 cheese ravioli. From the first bite it was horrifyingly bland. Not only that...I couldnt put my finger on it, but something was.not right about it. It was inedible, but our waitress was sweet and comped most of the check, which is the only reason for two stars as opposed to one. Very dissapointed, hopefully this locations owners will take note because all the other reviews are one-star so im thinking it wasnt just a fluke.

I have been to this location three times and service was great and meals were hot and delicious. Beautiful interior and plenty of room. Each time my wife and two sisters were with me and all were completely satisfied with food and service.

We've been to this location a couple of times, most recently for a Saturday lunch. We were promptly seated by a friendly hostess, greeted immediately by our server and able to order shortly thereafter. Olive Garden has recently re-designed their menu. Our server offered to explain the changes, but we declined. While the food is still aplenty, the flavors are rather bland. We'll be back, but I miss the previous recipes where the salad dressing had some "twang" and the alfredo sauce actually tasted like a cheese sauce.

Went there last night for the first time. Not much of a wait to be seated, then the wait began. Ten minutes to be greeted by the waiter, another ten for the drinks. The salad, appetizer and meal was served within 10 minutes of the salad. I ordered the "Tour of Italy", and the plate was arranged nicely, but there wasn't enough food on the plate for a child's appetite to be satisfied. We were still eating our meals and then John, our waiter asked if we wanted dessert or a to go container. For being part of a chain, I expected the same quantity of food and quality of service as all of the others stores that I have frequented, but not the case here. Was hoping the wandering manager might stop by our table, as he was making his rounds, but never did see him in person. After paying our bill, we were leaving, and passed the manager who was close to the bar area, and he turned around as if he couldn't be bothered. Sad, but all the staff wears high-tech communicators, but cannot follow the simple rule of courtesy. Sad but will not be going back to that location.

Past few visits at my locate Olive Garden at the Village has been less then satisfying. The last three visits my family has had resulted in being seated in an area where no one seems to be working, and yes I've complained every time to basically "no one cares" no wonder Darden Restaurants are having financial issues, they need to tighten up there staff and remember customer service is KEY!!!!

This was my first time visiting this location. I was staying at a hotel adjacent to the Restaurant, so it was convenient to just walk over. Since I was by myself, I sat at the bar. It was a slow night (Monday night), but wasn't too impressed with the service. It took a few minutes for the bartender to acknowledge myself and another guest who had sat down a few seats away. The salad portion was very small and it took a while to get my drink refilled (even though the bartender was in front of me and had 2 guests). What kind of disturbed me was watching the bartender make a drink. He was making a frozen alcoholic beverage that had the glass dipped with an orange sugar rim. The bartender wasn't satisfied with the sugar rim, so he used his fingers to wipe the glass how he liked it (both inside and outside) then proceeded to pour the drink right in front of me. If it was my drink, I don't want someone's fingers all inside of it. Pretty gross and unsanitary in my opinion. As far as the meal goes, I ordered the Tour of Italy and it was great. Although the food was good, service was fair. Don't expect top notch service at the bar going forward!

So far the food I've had at this Olive Garden has been great. Our server, Zena was very friendly and tried her best to help mereplicate the amazing grilled pork venito they no longer have with something pretty darn close. (In the past they actually used real ribs in a delectable Marsala sauce with portobello mushrooms. Good food all around today. (Glad to have had a positive experience to help rewrite my last memories made there.)

We went to this O.G. for the endless pasta bowl and the experience of eating out at a restaurant without a clown or a menu-board. (don't laugh, we have 4 kids) Service was friendly, Morgan, our waitress, was great. Soup, salad and breadsticks were delicious. The appetizer, though, tasted as if entire cans of oregano and basil were dumped in it. As for the pasta bowls...well...my wife makes better sauce than I had, and *I* make better noodles than I had. I don't think they were on an off night...I just think the basic O.G. recipes have been eclipsed by what we can make in our own kitchen. So, y'know, I'm really questioning whether I need to go to an Olive Garden for dinner again. Unless we're getting some sort of Tuscan specialty that we never make...I'm kinda not seeing the point.

I went there today for an early lunch. Brittany was our server. She was excellent. Very friendly, informative and always there when we needed her. Loved the whole experience.

went to dinner here after letting the crowds die down, since this is a new olive garden, there was no wait at all at 630 on thurs evening and after my experience i can see why,we were sat right down and waited 10 minutes before our waitress even approached the table to get our drink order and it was down hill from there on from the long wait to food coming out after my second bite into the salad to the bland food, will never be back nor reccommend this place to anyone,,wishing we had a seasons 52 here instead of this tasteless excuse for a restaurant

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
