I've had pretty good experiences here. Nine times out of ten the food is awesome! I'm definitely a fan of their tzatziki, which I get every time. I've tried a variety of things on their menu and in particular I enjoy their fish special, as well as their potato salad. I'm personally not a big fan of gyro meat, but their Greek rice bowls are also very good, and you can substitute chicken instead. Their food is reasonably priced and the wait time is not bad at all. Their staff is very friendly as well. The location is convenient.

This place has absolutely nothing to do with Greek or Mediterranean food whatsoever! The Greek Rice Bowl comes with the option of Chicken, Gyros meat or Pork. There wasn't even any meat on the Gyros spit. The gal who was "cooking" took the meat out of a fridge and just heated it up on the flat top. The sauce that was poured on top of the rice and chicken was a tomato based marina sauce and sour cream. If it had at least tasted good, I wouldn't have minded so much that it wasn't Greek at all. We also ordered the Dolmades, which were filled with a little bit of rice and meat! I've never had them with meat before, nor saturated in a citrus sauce. We ended up throwing it all out. Disgusting!

I love gyros and they are pretty good at Louis Papas. They could do with more sauce and veggies. Be careful if you order the pick two as the gyro is much smaller than if you order it by itself. Greek potato salad is good and did complement my sandwich perfectly. Can get really busy around lunch on the weekends, which is a good sign.

Gyros were good. The salad was ok and the service was good. Nice walk in place, at the mall

Great food at great prices and the employees are very friendly. It's hard to find something out of the ordinary in Lakeland but you can find things that are a little out of your box here. The pick two is a great deal because it gives you the opportunity to get one of your favorites and still try one of the specials. Plus the drink is included. My favorite is the Mojo Pork sandwich. The chicken salad and their other salads are great too! Take a chance and try to dip trio.

Great food at a good price. Their signature Greek salad is excellent and I am a sucker for their potatoes salad. Great place for a delicious Greek style meal.

I've always seen this place, but never thought of stopping by until yesterday. A coworker of mine goes here often, so I asked if she recommended the mojo pork sandwich and she did, so I ordered it. IT WAS GREAT! The one and only thing I would have changed is that the bread wasn't toasted. It said that it was, but if so, there was NO crunch which is something I love. The taste was perfect in my opinion. I felt like I was in Miami. I also ordered a side of the rice pilaf which was a good taste, but it wasn't something that I would order again. I tried it with the mojo sauce on the side--DON'T EVER DO THAT LOL. Waaaaay too vinegar-y for me. Overall, I will be returning. I want to try chicken next time. Great find!

Ok, the service here is excellent. They are polite, efficient, and the guy assembling the food when we ordered the other day was really putting care and effort into the task. I have to applaud their staff for doing a great job. Good customer service is hard to come by nowadays, so I appreciate it when I see it. The seating area, kitchen, and bathroom were all clean and presentable. Now on to the food. The food quality here is sub-par compared to real greek food. I don't know what they put in their gyro meat, but the consistency is odd and sort of "fluffy" compared to the gyro meat I've had elsewhere. I couldn't tell if they used fillers in their meat or if it was something else entirely, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. Also, considering the amount of spices I could taste, it seemed as if they use the spices as a cover - I couldn't taste the flavor of the lamb/beef - it was all spices. The greek salad is a little different here, too. It wasn't bad, but I could have done without the potato salad underneath. It makes the salad look like it is much bigger than it really is, and obliterates whatever healthy intentions you had upon ordering a salad. I currently live in Astoria, NY, the Greek capitol of the US, so I've had my fill of authentic Greek foods made by authentic Greek-Americans (this sentence is meant to establish credibility and experience, and that is all. I've had fantastic ethnic foods outside of NYC, too.) Louis Pappas tries, but misses in the authentic category. It's a shame too, because Lakeland could use a really good Greek restaurant. The prices are reasonable at Louis Pappas. Their gyro's are close to double what a gyro would be in NYC ($4.50 compared to $7), but that is not a complaint, just an observation. Operational costs are likely very different here than there.

Turkey and feta burgers back on special! Absolutely phenomenal recipe Louis! Can't say I've had a better meal in awhile paired with greek potatoes and some of my husbands greek salad paired with his favorite Mojo Pork! Yum! Recommend to everyone. Customer service is always good and always worthwhile!

I really liked my original gyro sandwich. It needed more tzatziki sauce, but I think a side of tzatziki needs more tzatziki sauce, so you may love the sandwich as-is. Their tzatziki sauce is over the top flavorful, leaving me with stink breath four sequential mints couldn't quell. Gyro meat, thick cut and dark around the edges, had a ton of flavor too. I was very interested in the Greek salads I saw going by. My lunch companion explained that they put a heap of potato salad under the Greek salad, which sounds strange... but heck, I'd try it. Casual dining. You place your order at the counter, take your plastic cup to the soda machine then sit down with your order number prominently displayed. They bring the food to you and clean the table when you leave. Louis Pappas is located in the same open air mall as Abuelo's and a bunch of other restaurants and shops.

Excellent Spanakopita. I had to go two days in a row just to have this one item. Not super fast service, but you order and they prepare your food. They do not microwave, which takes time and makes the food so much better, and for me worth the few additional minutes. Food is brought to your table piping hot. The small chopped Greek salad was also ample and delicious. I posted photos of the combo meal with the salad and spanakopita and the appetizer spanakopita. Food just as good as I get in Tarpon Springs. Give them a try.

My most recent visit was on 9/25/11. We beat the church crowd there and had very fast service. I had the baby greek chopped salad and the roasted garlic feta spread with pita chips. My son had the chicken fingers kids meal with pita chips. The food was great as always. The kids meal was a very large portion of chicken which is nice since my son was pretty hungry. The spread could have come with a few more chips (normally only 4), but with my son's kids meal side we had plenty. Love this place!!!

Went here a few weeks ago for the first time, and couldn't believe we hadn't been before. Tried a flatbread, spanakopita, Greek fries, and one of the turkey sandwiches. Everything was really good, and I'm dying to go back and try their gyro platter. Plus they have good sangria!

This little chain makes delicious Greek food. It has a weird parking lot to locate and you enter the restaurant from the back. It opens at 11 and I entered at 11:02. They were not ready to receive me but fumbled through it with five people behind the counter, no napkins out yet, lots of prepping going on--and lots of social chatter. Coke products. yay. I ordered a mini-Greek salad. Clerk asks, "Do you want it chopped?" I ask, "as opposed to what?" She says, "unchopped". I say let's go with chopped, thinking the other option is a wedge. I grab a $1 wedding cake cookie to munch while waiting. It was okay but I've had better. My salad arrived about 20 minutes later. Chopped means FINELY chopped like cole slaw (or "already been chewed"). It came beautifully arranged and huge. It was an odd taste sensation at first--but eventually just a yum Greek salad. It had grated beets on top and potato salad beneath. Two Greek olives and a pickled pepper. Next time I'll know that not chopped means "regular Greek salad". Two slices of Italian bread in olive oil and parsley came with it. Salad $7, Soda $2, Cookie $1. Expensive lunch but delicious! My lower rating was for their service, slow, unclear, distracted. The place was empty, yet appeared "sticky". If they learn to measure up to the quality of their food, they could be five-star. 6/11/11. I'd have liked to add a star for improved service in the order taking/delivery to table department. I like the food THAT much. However, the help does not keep up with keeping table cleaning. The place can be almost empty and there's still food to clean up on every table. There are MANY people employed--socializing. Very few "working". This is indicative of poor management.

Been to this location twice. The first time that I went, I was extremely impressed. I got the gyro with potatoe salad. My gyro was nice and hot and the potatoe salad was good. The second time that I went, the experience was definately not like the first. My gyro was ice cold. Potatoe salad was not good and the coffee that I got wasn't much better. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Great cubans and garden salad. We go there often after church on Sunday. Love it.
