Good and consistent, but still not a healthy choice.

The best burgers around, especially for fast food. Don't go expecting a dollar menu, this ain't McDonalds. Be aware that the burger/cheeseburger is a double. If you want a single order the little burger. Also, a small fry will feed 4, a large fry will feed a small town. Expect $8 per person depending on your appetite.

I love Five Guys! We stopped for the 1st time near closing time on a Saturday night. Despite our late arrival time, the staff was friendly and upbeat. The decor was simple and fun. The menu is pretty simple: Fries and Burgers. The great thing about Five Guys is that they have a ton of different burger toppings to choose from - some are at no charge but some cost extra - I love a good french fry and found there fries to be very good - and very plentiful! We ordered the large fry to share - and when we received our order we had enough fries for 3 meals (they reheated very nicely)! When I received my order, I had 2 patties - Next time I go, I will look at the menu more closely to make sure I order the burger with just the single patty - I will definitely go back to Five Guys.

This place is always hopping and the staff make it an experience you won't forget. Whenever I'm in the area I always hit this Five Guys just to see how well the staff works together and how great of an atmosphere they bring. Keep up the great work ladies and gentlemen!

Walked in and were immediately greeted. Service was great and speedy during their peak lunch time. Food was made correctly to order and had a great taste. We love In N Out but now being on the East Coast and not having them we have enjoyed Five Guys. If seeking a decent burger and in the area this is worth the stop.

Perhaps I am the last person to visit this much-talked-about fast food emporium. Never the less, I ventured in with my wife and a famished college student, during a road trip. As we stared at the menu with a baffled look on our faces, the friendly lady behind the register clearly explained the whole deal to us. A small burger is pound. A small fry feeds a family of 4. Order any toppings you want. We got it! We waited the 10 minutes necessary for them to cook the hamburger to the apparent default setting of "well done hockey puck". If we ever go again, I'm hopeful they will do medium rare if we ask. The Cajun fries were an outstanding hit, especially considering the fries you get in the average fast food hamburger joint were likely frozen years ago and are consistently, devoid of any semblance of flavor. The unexpected part of our visit was the brain cells we lost due to the incredo-bad mix of 80's rock music played continuously. If we have hungry college students in the car with us in the future, I'll go if they ask.

Great atmosphere, great burgers, the price IS reasonable you just have to order right. No one person should finish a small fry. We always split a small between four people. Also the little burger is just as satisfying for less calories and money. If you're a bike rider they have racks on site :)

First time customer....they are very proud of their food. The burgers were good and well prepared however I had to question the cashier when she said my bill was $45.59 REALLY!!! Way overpriced and they need to offer a kids meal or at least discount the food so that my 5 year olds meal is not the same price as my wife's. To top it off the tea machine was broken, you would think that if you charge those kinds of prices you could keep your equipment operational.

Supposedly the newest thing in burgers, I found it only a mediocre eating experience. A single patty burger, small order of fries, and small drink with tax totals $8.00 even. I'm as happy when I leave McD's with a happy meal for $3.00. The patties are hand-formed and made to order. I was a little impatient with the wait and everybody standing around waiting for their order like Pavlov's dogs. They do have a box of peanuts for you to munch, with shells all over the floor (not appetizing--the shared box nor the messy floor). You do get a larger array of choices on the burger--some free, some you pay for. You do get a plentiful bounty of skin-on fries--and they post where the fresh potatoes came from that day (which is kinda fun). Decor is sacks of potatoes stacked around on the floor and it's a booth style place similar to other fast food joints. Hot dogs are also on the menu. Places like Chili's or Outback's have the five star burger. This place has "newness appeal" but the food and its price won't keep me coming back..... 3/24/2014. My rating and review still stand. I got the grilled dog which was delicious except for the "wise guy" who felt slathering both sides in mustard and catsup is the way people like it (next time I'd get it on the side). A dog and fries was $8.06 without a drink. Too expensive for my tastes. They do put malt vinegar out for the fries (which were too salty). They did a nice job keeping the place clean. And from a marketing perspective, in a place where 100% of the people eating there are over 50, they're losing customers due to the BLASTING hard rock music--it was absolutely NOT a pleasant ear experience. Music was so loud you had to shout your order. bleh.

Overrated. The food is unremarkable at best. Three of us ate there for about $28, which seemed high for fast food. The staff was friendly but they will probably never see me again. I just don't get the hype.

This is no In n Out burger. Even when you ask for protein style, bring your own Romaine lettuce. The management cannot seem to catch a clue that some of us do not eat bread. The North Location near I-4 is better than this one. The cajun fries seem like MSG fries with A little bit of Cayenne pepper. avoid these. If you have elementary school aged kids, you'll be eating here sooner or later. Give up and try to sneak a power bar in the bathroom. The drinks are fine but last time we went some one had hooked up the regular Coke to the diet Coke and the Diet to the Regular. I guess they hadn't heard about diabetes and thought this would be funny.

Handmade burgers sound like a good idea. And we have had fairly good ones made at another Five Guys at the north end of Lakeland, although they, too, seemed to have gone downhill since their opening. This particular southside restaurant, though, seems to skimp on both the burgers as well as the fries. Opening up the bun, we were dismayed to find tiny burgers that wouldn't even qualify for eighth pound category, let alone the generosity so heavily advertised here. And then the fries we ordered -- dry, stunted in size, skimpy in volume and overly salty. Disappointment isn't the word for this place. What a rip-off! Needless to say, we won't be back and months down the road when they don't have any business left they'll wonder what happened and probably blame it on "the economy."

I went to five guys, because our neighbors kept raving about how absolutely delicious the hamburgers would be. So I had high expectations. You can imagine my disappointment when I finally git the burger, it was literally dripping with fat. The bun was fat soggy soaked, and the meat was cooked okay. The fries were good. But between the overall dressed-down-fastfood-interior, the limited menu and the soggy burger, I cannot give more than two stars.
