This is a quaint little place that was once a Hardee's. My grandmother lives in Lake Alfred and this is one of the available dining options so we thought we would give it a try. First, please note, if you have seafood allergies you can't eat any of the fried food because they don't have a dedicated fryer. Seafood, chicken, fries, corn nuggets, sweet potato fries, they all go in the same fryer. So, my grandmother just got back into town yesterday so I went here for dinner with her, my aunt, uncle, cousin, etc. According to my cousin they have the best coleslaw he's ever eaten. I am not a fan of coleslaw, so I'll take his word for it. My mother said that their Ranch dressing is out of this world. It is homemade. I had spaghetti and meatballs, which were good. It wasn't exceptional, but not bad in anyway. The sauce was a bit tangy for me. The portion was a good size and it came with a side and a soup/salad. I had corn nuggets, a total guilty pleasure for me and again, they were good, but not the best I'd ever had. I chose the potato soup for my starter and it was decent, but a bit on the salty side. My grandmother loved her roast beef. Service was excellent and our waitress kept all of our drinks filled. Verdict, a solid option if you are in the Lake Alfred area.
