Thanks to the life guard Eric Ortiz, he was more helpful than any other lifeguard, he made sure there was no horseplay in the lazy river unlike the other lifeguards who ignored the kids standing on tubes, creating waves, and pushing people. Our room was pretty far from the waterpark so being there for 7 days it was difficult after a few days. We enjoyed our experience for the most part.

Not an owner just a guest . our rooms are clean ,there are no coffee mugs/cups . the small electrical appliances are kind of old. Our rooms are in the 5400 building. The fire alarm went off twice they must be doing some test. The fitness center has a lot of machines. Employees there are attentive. The water park is nice I know my two year old loved it. We rode the thomas the train ride many times ,my son loved that even more. We saw some movies in the theater. Get there early too get the best seats. This place gets filled up fast. We enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast the two days out of 7 days we stayed. And lastly i won't be buying time share its just not for me. See you next year west gate resort.

I would not buy this timeshare because they are too pushy and get an attitude when you decide not to buy into this. Their customer service sucks and the rooms are OK but not what they will show you on the tour. This was wayyyy beneath my standards and expectations for the prices they are selling one week a year timeshare for.

This is the worst stay ever I have had here. I don't know if they have new people running this place or what but I have been here for three days after a 18 hr drive and I can't wait to get the hell out of here. My washer and dryer don't work so since Sunday I can not dry my close , my fridge leaks water the glass in the shower did not seal so there was water all over the floor. I have gotten with the so called management here and they are as use less as tits on s nun. They show me other rooms they can switch me to but they room are in the same shape or worse! New owners, if you are looking to buy get ready for shitty customer service. I had better times staying here when I did not own. I use to look forward to coming here but with the people they have running it I think I will have to explore the other locations. I hope they are not as bad as this shut hole. Eff this place!

I'm no fan of the timeshare. So I hate to drive up the rating. However, such experience is not the premise of my review. Acelyn B & I stayed here on a hotwire(?) deal. For $44 + $10 resort fee per night, I'd say we definitely got our money's worth. The room itself was nice. We did not get to experience any of the amenities as we like to spend our time at a DisneyWorld theme park instead. Service was friendly. Perhaps overly friendly & a bit too much. Okay. Service was unnecessary that it felt like they were wasting time rather than actually being helpful. Take that as you please. The property is gorgeous, despite their construction for improvements. There were some kinks though. They wrote room A-B on our key so we thought we had a choice of rooms to stay in. Our key did not work for room A, which was probably the better of the two. I believe room A has the living room, kitchen, & king bed. We were stuck in room B. Two doubles & a stand up shower. Like I said, it's no big deal to me. We only use the room to sleep. But that experience was disappointing.

Westgate Town Center is "A-OK" for me simply because it offers nice accommodation and great discount to rent. Please note though, that I never participate in their timeshare presentation (I simply opt out of it) and only go to Westgate Town Center as an alternative to booking a hotel in Orlando. I like these "timeshare sometimes-turn-condo-rental" because they offer full kitchen so we don't have to eat out every meal, large rooms, nice amenities including often a jacuzzi tub in the rooms. Westgate Town Center is the nicest we've stayed at of the various Westgate properties. As other Yelpers already have mentioned, beware of the timeshare presentation. I have friends who have timeshare and thoroughly enjoyed them. So I guess it may be great for some and not so much for others. The check in time and process can get tedious, which is the main reason why I rate this as "A-OK" instead of being a fan. If you know what to watch out for, get a great rate, and don't mind the potential long check in time, it is a great place to spend your Orlando vacation.

BEST VACATION EVER!!! Our condo was fully equipped with everything we needed from plates and silverware to a jetted jacuzzi tub and two showers. The resort is packed with things to do on site like putt-putt golf and swan paddle boats. This place is HUGE with 13 heated swimming pools and a movie theater that plays free Disney movies all day. We spent 2 full days playing around the resort. Disney was also just minutes away.

My wife's parents are owners, so we stayed here. From the moment we walked in, my wife and I noticed how friendly the people were here, so friendly, it is fake. When you walk into the main building they have people who greet you who basically kiss your *** the same goes at the checking counter. Really, for what? There is nothing wrong with being genuine, but to this level is just ridiculous. The rooms here are nice, but the service is something else. Let's just say everything here is one big lie. The spa was supposed to be opening for years, rooms are supposed to be updated everything 5 years, another lie. My father in law suggests we do a tour of the property, why not? Free tickets to SeaWorld. Our sales guy, by the name of Jonah Travick was by far the best sales guy we have ever had during any timeshare presentation and we have been to a lot. Jonah was very upfront and seemed very honest, of course, what management probably tells him is all lies. During our timeshare presentation we were told it would last 60-90 minutes max, it took 3 hours and ruined our day, because of it. The good thing is unlike almost ALL timeshare sales people, Jonah was not pushy and knew we were not interested, so we just spoke about other things. I see why he is one of their top sales people. People either want it, or not... Jonah does deserve credit there. Jonah said that the westgate property always wants to be purchased by 3rd parties, so it is easy to get your week booked so you can go elsewhere. I have checked into it and it is a lie. Maybe he knew, or maybe that is what management told him. Their model unit was beautiful, but once again nothing like we stayed in. During the timeshare presentation I noticed that the entire room, upstairs to be exact was completely full (100 plus people) by the time we finished the free breakfast they provided my wife and I. The breakfast was fake as well; they put sunny d in a nice display, passing it off as Orange Juice and give out powdered eggs... We were told they were working on a water park, play area behind their main building and that it would be completed by next year. It turns out they have been building it now for years, the same goes for their spa and fitness centre. I have looked up West Gate Resort on ripoff report and it turns out there are 175 complaints. That is a lot. The owner, David Siegel, is currently building the largest house in the USA called the Versailles Lake Butler Mansion. The cost, over $100M and it has 90,000 square feet, 13 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, 10 kitchens, 2 movie theaters, 20 car garages. All that was probably built on these lies. The only positive thing is the free seaworld tickets and the rooms were nice. As well as the location to the parks. Other than that, DO NOT BUY HERE. You will regret it. Speaking of which, my in-laws have tried to sell their timeshare, they can't. He actually has to pay someone to take it from him. It is cheaper paying someone to take it, than to pay the $2,000 a year in service fees. Of course, they tell you when you buy, there are no fees, as long as your family or friends buy a timeshare. Why would they need to if you owned one? Hilarious!

BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT PURCHASE A TIMESHARE WITH THIS RESORT unless YOU LIKE THIS PROPERTY. DO NOT PURCHASE a timeshare here thinking you will use exchanges and getaways with Interval International. UNLESS YOU EXCHANGE FOR LARGE RESORTS you will OFTEN FIND THAT THERE IS NO AVAILABILITY. For example, there are NO rooms available in New Orleans for an ENTIRE YEAR! So, my advice is, get a timeshare at this home resort if you like it. We thought it sucked. We only bought the timeshare for exchanges, and THEY SUCK TOO. So far we've wasted $8,000 USD (for an every other year timeshare) plus another $1632 for condiminium fees (over two years). We could have stayed in some mighty fancy hotels over the past 3 years for $9632. This was an impulse buy on the part of my hubby, who does such things. I do not. IT WAS A TERRIBLE DEAL. IF YOU LIKE PRETTY RESORTS WITH NICE LANDSCAPING, THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE. I found it very LOW RENT. Sorry to be so terrible in a review, but I cannot say enough how this entire Westgate experience has been horrible for us. The only reason I gave an extra star is because their phone customer service reps are polite and helpful to the extent they can be within the suckiness of the company and the property. If you go to Disney every year and only stay in a room at night, I'd say this may be worth it for you. But again, at what price? I've heard some of the other properties may look a bit better than this one. If you only care about the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room, and not how the resort itself looks on the outside, or how close it is to Disney, this may be for you. Bottom line: if you visit the place go with your gut. If you find it revolting DO NOT BUY REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY PROMISE YOU.

The Westgate Town Center appears to be the latest renovation to the Central Florida Timeshare empire by Central Florida Investments. There are some new rooms and some old rooms that are in the same property description considered the Westgate Town Center. Also in a short distance are Westgate Vacation Villas and Westgate Towers. Check in started off great, there was a minimal line as I was the only person in line on the Saturday before Christmas. The young lady processing my reservation took about twenty minutes to get the keys released in the computer which was a little frustrating considering I was very tired after my drive. She was very apologetic and courteous though. After getting my keys there was the normal spiel about taking a tour of the property which didn't seemed to be as hard nosed as it usually is. Our room was the 'b' side in the semi newer 5300 bldg. which is next to some shorter townhouse like units and slightly roomier than a standard hotel room with two old tube television and a DVD player in the living room. The 'kitchen' had a full sized refrigerator/freezer with an ice maker that cranked out lots of cubes. There was a full set of plates, cups, bowls and silverware. A full sized sink with a endless supply of hot water for washing dishes. The counter area was difficult for more than one person to use at a time but considering most hotel rooms don't even have this it was nice. The pull out couch was decent. The bathroom toilet, sink and counter areas was great and the tub/shower worked ok but was a little strange as it had two sets of water controls one for the shower and one for the jet tub which we didn't try out as I've seen some pretty nasty jet tubs on Westgate properties. The Queen sized bed was terrible and hard as a rock they haven't upgraded the bedding in this room as I've had decent comfortable beds at other Westgate properties. The climate control didn't really work very well as there is a cut off switch that won't let the unit run if there is a door or window open in this case it was my neighbors in the 'a' side of the unit. When we could use the climate control we were treated to the 'lovely' food smells at 11 pm from the 'a' unit who were cooking what smelled like bargain basement carp. This is a common problem I've run into at Westgate properties as the air handler uses communal air from both the 'a' and 'b' sides and at least this time my neighbors weren't smoking crack. The toiletries were plentiful and we started off with lots of towels. Usually staying at Westgate properties they do a 'service' on Wednesdays where they take out the trash, sweep, replenish supplies and towels.which never happened. The resort was nice, the pools, grounds were decently maintained and there was plenty of parking. Being that this seems to be the current Westgate showplace there were plenty of employees manning the golf and other activities. On other visits to Westgate properties the bikes are broken and everyone seems like you are bothering them so that is a nice change here at the Westgate Town Center. They have two washers and two dryers in the buildings around me but roughly half of the units were working so I had to go from building to building until I found one that was working and not in use. The main lobby/check/timeshare spiel area was much larger and spread out than other Westgate properties which made it more comfortable to visit to buy tickets to parks and other things. They also have a theater that shows kids movies which I visited while waiting for my laundry to dry. The theater is a good idea and the folks on timeshare tours were told that this was for the children, the only problem is that although the seats are the reclining theater type with cup holders the theater is just a regular room with a flat floor with no grade to it. As an adult my view of the bottom quarter of the screen was blocked by the back of the chair in front of me so I imagine the 'niños' would have a very entertaining full view of the chair in front of them. Great idea Westgate but you didn't work the details out very well. The on sight market, game room, Starbucks, ice cream places were very nice hopefully they will continue staffing these areas to keep them running efficiently and nice! I would stay here again as it was a relatively inexpensive vacation for me.

Took an hour to ck in. Got a good location near paddle boat rental and mini golf. Unit is a good size, clean but very dated in appearance. Timeshare presentation where they promised to update us was a nightmare. It ended after two only because I went ballistic. Strict rules for everything,to be rented. Beds comfortable. Shower ok

This is really a timeshare! It's not a 5 star but If your looking for a comfortable , convenient family style stay then you may want to consider the Westgate as an option! There is plaza on the property with souvenir store, bar, convenience store, grocery store and restaurant for your convenience! My 1 bedroom suite was clean and some what modernized. Equipped with 1 bedroom& walk in shower, small kitchen and small living area and 2 flat screen TV's, washer & dryer. It was a comfortable stay and I felt at ease! As far as customer service that needs improvement! One night my room keys were not working and the front desk employees were all inconsistent with giving me a proper explanation and after a long day at Disney the last thing you need is inconsistent information on why your not able to get into your room! All in all depending on the budget I would easily stay there again!

Let me start with all the things that went wrong, which is essentially the same thing as beginning chronologically. First, the traffic on I-4 was absolutely beyond horrific! We were stuck for over 2 hours. I know that has nothing to do with the hotel but it certainly set my mood. Maybe I would have had more patience for what was to come had I not been trapped on an interstate in totally gridlocked traffic with a screaming 5-month-old. I'm just stating my bias/slant. At this point, I am so ready to be out of the car. My daughter is so ready to be out of her car seat. I'm beginning to feel extremely guilty that she has been in the car for so long (even though we did stop along the way to get her out of the seat and get some fresh air). All I can think of is making dinner and kicking my feet up... When we arrived at Westgate, the resident/owner gate wasn't working; so the guard was just letting everyone in. I don't even really understand the point of the gate in the first place. So we make our way to the check in area (aka Townhall) and there are hoards of people in there! Huge groups are gathered around the sofas, etc. The line for check in looks like a line for a Disney ride! Uh oh! Their computers were down! They didn't bother to inform anyone until they got to the actual desk. So the whole time we were in line we had no idea what was going on. "So now we're finally at the desk," I'm thinking, "I'll have my feet up in no time!" Woops, was I wrong! We had to then wait for our keys! We were told it would be 20 minutes. After about 30 we went in and asked if we could just get a refund. We were told our keys were almost ready. About 10 minutes later my daughter started screaming again. It's now almost 1am! We flagged down a manager and had the bellstaff assisting us shortly thereafter. The bellman leads us across the compound to our room. The keys don't work. Thankfully he was with us. He opened the door with his master key. He helped us in with all of our luggage and was nice and apologetic, even though I was visibly angry. The decor is like something out of the movie Scarface. A bit on the 80s side. Slightly tacky but still a big jump up from a regular hotel room in the same price range. The platform beds are quite hard. Sheets are cheap. Not a very comfortable night's sleep at all. On the positive, the room is enormous! I've never paid so little for such a spacious hotel room! I love the tile floors. It's much cleaner than nasty hotel room carpet. The "room" is fully equipped with dishes, pots & pans, basic cleaning supplies and pretty much all of the appliances you would need. To be honest, if I didn't have such a horrific check in experience, I would have had very little negatives to say about the place, if any at all. I would recommend it. I will be returning.

Well worth the drive from Texas coast to the Florida shores. Absolutely five star quality. Starting from the entrance with mr Barry(security check) to check in with daniel, to super star noemi. This is my second stay here at WestGate resorts and it is just as I remembered. A vacation within itself. My suite had all accommodation for the kitchen and bathrooms. I could bounce a quarter on the firm, but not hard mattress nicely made. Several free activities on the resort. Theme parks conveniently close. I have a gift for my Yelper fam that would like to experience the WestGate Towers Resort. Send me a message.

Check-out is at 10:00 am. But at 8:00 am the cleaning crew barged into the door and would not leave. While we where startled from our sleep the cleaning crew crashed dishes in the washer and threw beading from empty beds across the villa. This time share belongs to my brother and if this is how they force folks out of the door I am glad I was not suckered into this time share. The folks in the golf carts never follow their own stop signs, we had two close calls with their golf carts. And when I asked for their names they took off like cowards. This must happen a lot since there are no visible identification on the golf carts. The kids had fun in the pool. But the events on our last wiped out two stars.

Nice and clean. Great base for exploring Orlando. Two bedroom condos offer enough space for 5 or 6 people. Nice having a full kitchen and washer and dryer.

CONSUMERS BEWARE, this company is a SCAM. My wife and I were conned into purchasing a Westgate Travel Club membership while staying at the resort. They lured is in by offering big discounts in the Disney parks near by. What they'll do is invite you to a 30 min presentation (which actually takes 90min) in the morning and sell to you how great their membership will save you money on future travel expenses. A few weeks after I found out it was a scam and have tried to cancel but was advised that cancelling out of the contract was not an options. So, the question is, does anyone know how to get their money back and cancel the contract agreement? SEE THIS OTHER TRAVELERs EXPERIENCE BELOW: westgatetravelclubscam.c…

We were able to get the 2 bedroom suite this time around and I loved it. The whole resort was a lot cleaner than the last time I went. Maybe it had to do with the rain and gloominess of the weather. This time, we had lots of sunshine so everything look nice and clean. I actually wanted to take part in the activities there. There is miniature golfing, bike riding, paddle boats, swan boats, swimming, fishing, etc. I could not believe that a guest actually brought his fishing poles there and caught a tilapia!!! My dad would totally love this. I want to fish next time I am here. They have movie theaters, basketball, etc. There is a lot of things to entertain you here. You can also relax in your suite. We had a jaccuzzi in the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully stock. All you need is food and spices. I would recommend any family staying at the Westgate Town Center. This will be my future vacation spot for my family. Check-in can be pretty long because they have limited people working. Other than that, they were all pretty nice.

We have been owners for 20 years, and just spent a week here and hated it! When we checked in, we were asked if we had our owner cards to get discounts on the property. We didn't have them and were told the only way to get them was to do a one hour presentation, which is a sales pitch. We argued that we should need to but the idiot there insisted we did. We declined, went to vip services and within 2 minutes had our cards. When we got to our room, the maid was sitting at the kitchen table texting on her phone. She heard quickly got up and finished the room...so we thought. That night my wife jumped in the huge jacuzzi, and noticed on the walls a line of dirt. She quickly realized it was not clean and took a shower. We contacted the front desk about this and the fact that the second bedroom smelled like mold. We were told it would be handled, but at the end of the next day nothing. So, my wife got a manager on the phone and went off, and they came over. They saw everything, fixed the smell and scheduled a full clean for 1pm the next day. We made sure to get out and do something, instead of getting to relax on the only day we weren't doing parks. We had guests coming over at 5pm that night and when we got home around 4:30, nothing had been touched. Long story short, after going off, they showed up and just cleaned the tub and that bathroom, but never touched the others, never picked up and replaced towels or removed trash as is required. The toilet them broke right after. We called and reported it and went out. When we got back from dinner, nobody had been there obviously as it had been still running. I called and they said that somebody fixed it. I went off again and they said they said that the manager of that department would call soon as he was on the way to his office. 2 hours later I called, and he picked up, and told me he was engineering and that is why he didn't call because it wasn't his problem. finally the right person called, only to tell me that the person who came earlier that night deemed a plumber was needed and that is why it wasn't fixed. I went off and thanked them for wasting 2 hours of my time when he simply could have left a message stating that instead of having to keep dealing with broken promises and making phone calls. I will never stay at Westgate again!!!!

Mark A. & I stayed here two weekends in a row thanks to a great Hotwire deal. $44/night and $47/night + $10 resort fee/night. Really good considering that when I asked directly for a nightly rate the cheapest they had was $107+resort fees. The room that we got isn't their greatest because it's the studio setup, while the others are like a suite or condo style. However, we didn't need all that, so it worked for us. Two double beds, fairly large bathroom, mini-kitchen. For $44, I'll take it. Now the bad... At any other hotel, check-in takes less than 10 minutes. Even 10 seems to be oddly long. Well, here 10 is short. A lot of the steps in their check-in process is EXTREMELY unnecessary. I'm a process engineer by trade, so it irked me even more seeing how many delays and unwanted and useless wait times there were. The biggest one was how the registration desk sends you WITH AN ESCORT to the concierge desk, so that someone at concierge can bring you to your room. JUST TELL ME MY BUILDING & ROOM NUMBER, DANG IT! Front desk rep didn't even tell us that! When we asked simply to be pointed in the right direction, their friendly helpful smiles disappeared and were replaced with disgust and annoyance. No opportunity for them to get a tip. Oh darn. Some people may take their overly friendliness as a good thing, great hospitality. Me? I think it's super overboard and a waste of time. So even though the room and property itself is seriously great, I'm hesitant to chance to Hotwire it again because the one thing I hate the most is an unproductive use of my time.

Yes, the rooms are a little dated but the amenities and the size of the units far out weigh that. The are renovating, we will be back!

Came here on an exchange that we got from a lot of family travel. We arrived right after New Years which is the best time to come to Orlando although sometimes the weather is hit or miss. The resort is beautiful, clean, and well maintained with many different activities to do from mini golf, swan boats, and bike rentals to pools and hot tubs. The rentals and mini golf have a fee associated with it unless you are an owner at the resort or sit through a timeshare presentation. We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa which was extremely nice with a living room, screened in porch, very comfortable bed, and a view of Disney in the distance. The electronics were a little dated but we weren't there to watch TV. The resort was nice but the reason, I am giving it 3 stars and not 4 stars is the staff. It began when we checked in and were sent to hospitality desk. The guy was extremely nice and helpful answered all of our questions until we said we were not interested in sitting through a timeshare presentation then he was as cold as ice. We also had a maintenance issue with our AC that we called a few times to get fixed and no one ever came. All in all it was a nice stay. The food and drink prices are not outrageous compared to other resorts so that was a plus. If you stay here they will try to rope you into a timeshare presentation but will offer you some incentives to go even if you don't buy. I like other places in the area better but would not complain if I stayed here again.

So this was a great family vacation. My family has time share there so we decided to go and it was definitely worth it. We stayed in a villa with 3 bedroom...2 baths and a swimming pool in our backyard. We had a kitchen that came with all the utensils....washer and dryer....clean towels and sheets with just a phone call away. The west gate community is a huge property and we made the most of it. There have a grocery store....pizzeria...restaurants....Game Center....ice cream shop....Starbucks and movie theater. To get around they have this train that makes stop so my little brothers had a blast riding it everyday....they offered classes for adults and kids...some free and some you have to pay for but super affordable. And just outside the grounds there are other places to eat and hang out...just to name a few IHOP...Denny's...mcdonalds basically and type of food you are looking for. You can also get tickets to Disney or universal for a bargain and also have buses taking you to and from there...I loved it there because it's a controlled environment...friendly staff and friendly people.

Went for a family trip and have to say the apartments are good nothing great. There is about 3 pools so there is plenty of things to do with the kids. putt putt golf is always a crowd pleaser and there is a lake that you can use little swan boats to go around with the kids. Now for the adults they now have a sports bar as soon as you come into the complex. My family and I took over this place for college football and NFL Sunday. We were able to request what games we wanted to see and have the TVs setup for us. The drinks were cheap (coming from Miami) 2-3 dollar beers. The food was decent for a bar. The place was quite until we got there and got the party started.
