The pastries are beautiful to look at. I chose the black forest which was layers of whipped cream and chocolate cake with cherries. Unfortunately, the flavor didn't live up to the presentation. The "whipped cream" was flavorless except for a mild chemical taste. There was an almost imperceptible cocoa flavor, but I expect more of a chocolate taste from a black forest dessert. The cherries were perhaps the best part because they seemed the most authentic element. I also had a chicken empanada which was fair. It reminded me of the stuff you can buy in the freezer dept. of Publix, but it didn't have the fake taste of pastry so I enjoyed it more. Everything looks so delicious, I am hoping I just chose badly and will try again.

I found this place about 3 month ago and I can't stop visiting at least twice a week. The ham cachitos are extremely good not to mention the amazingly big arepa Reina pepiada stuffed with chicken, avocado and a hint of mayo. The cachapas are also very good, always made fresh with good cheese selection. They really reproduce the genuine venezuelan flavors. Congrats!!

Venezia Pâtisserie and Café is located conveniently near the movie theater at the Loop. Inside, you'll feel like you're in an Italian café but with a hispanic twist. I've been here a few times and the staff here is always wonderful. You'll find some sweet treats but they also have savory items as well. I shall always remember this place as my first encounter with a cachapa with ham and cheese. Delish! Be forewarned, they do not always have this available. I got a café con leche, cornetto (Italian croissant) with filled with ricotta and spinach. I usually have my café con leche without any sugar added. Mmmm, Lavazza coffee. I got some of the garlic sauce to go with my cornetto, it was so good. The flaky layers of the cornetto melted in my mouth. The combination of the ricotta and spinach with the garlic sauce instantly put a smile on my face. And of course, I enjoyed my little cookie with my coffee. It's a great place to take a break from shopping and chat with friends. Enjoy!

What a wonderful cafe! Beautiful decor! Every time I go in here it brings me back to great memories of my country. I love the paintings and the music too. The food was delicious. I had a home made breakfast. The food tasted fresh and the mango juice was amazing! Will definitely be going back soon. The service was awesome as well. I will be returning to try out some of the baked goodies

I found this shop on yelp as I was looking for a good place for coffee, tea, smoothie or dessert. I drove 20 min to get there only to find that they really serve coffee, dessert and some bottled drinks and water. The coffee was good, flavorful and average for price. The desserts remind me more of an over-priced bakery. They are just about average for pricing. We bought coffee and tres' leche cakes one in a ramekin drizzled with rum and one dry cake. If I were in the area and wanted a cup of coffee I might go back. Will I make a special trip to go back there probably not. It isn't because of bad service or not being tasty. I prefer more quaint, entrepreneurial, gypsy type coffee shops with artsy food.

The cafe con leche and turrón cake was really good. Skip the tres leches cake as it's not as moist as it should be. Prices are reasonable. Ambiance is clean and updated

Place is very clean, staff was friendly and very patient as my friend and I could not make up our minds right away. Love the cafe con leche! So delicious and pretty in its cup. The sweet bread for .99 cents was just right to soak up the coffee. Also had the chicken empanada baked and the avocado, mozzarella and tomato arepa. Very good as well although it could use some flavor besides salt and pepper.

We were looking for a place to eat breakfast which was not Denny's. My family and I really enjoyed Venezia. Three people in our party ordered the Arepas and two ordered the American Breakfast. I've only had home-made Arepas before (my former neighbors are Venezuelan), and was very happy that the Arepas prepared by Venezia were as good as my neighbors. I had the Domino arepa and the Jamon y Queso arepa. The toasted flatbread and the beans + cheese + meat flavor combination of the Domino was a great. The Jamon y Queso was a bit boring, unfortunately. Our party ordered a number of Americanos, which were prepared like they were strong black coffee, not as strong as some I've had but this is the only place I've ever heard of that has free refills on Americanos. Two solid Arepas for $6 and free refills on Americanos is a great deal. Especially for an area where chain resturants are frequently the only option.

I liked it. I would say the whole display of desserts to me are not very appealing. I have been to Latino type places like this before, but I tend to go for the savory items and not the sweets. Their Pan De Bono is great and their breakfast items are great. The eggs, shredded beef and arepa with black beans are the perfect way to start a morning. Specialty coffees are also available. Give them a try. Everything is bite size. Try some sweets. You may be surprised what you find.

I don't remember what I ate, but I do remember the whole shop smelled delicious, I loved what I had and told my husband we were coming back. LOVED the fresh squeezed orange juice. The people working there were super nice too...a young man with good manners served us. Not many kids his age are as professional and proper as he is...
