Drinks were pretty darn good considering they don't bill themselves as a tiki bar. My only regret is that I couldn't enjoy more of it because a rain storm forced an evacuation of the pool. Our server, Laura (I think that was her name), was amazing and tried to be as accommodating as possible. As much as I'm sure Disney would love to control the weather, it really was beyond their control yet the servers were super sweet and apologetic and said over and over they wanted to make up for our "bad experience". To clarify, we didn't even complain about having to leave and completely understood why we had to go; electrocution kind of puts a wrench in your travel plans. Even for acts of nature, completely beyond their control, the staff still went above and beyond. Kudos to Jambo House! We didn't have any food other than some Cheetos but the drinks were on point and I'd love to hang out poolside with a Mai Tai first chance I get.

This is a nice little respite to sit back and relax at the pool while enjoying a cocktail and a bite to eat. The menu is the same as the Mara restaurant on the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort property. I ordered the chef's choice sandwich and when I was there it was a carved turkey sandwich with cranberry mayonnaise. The turkey was really good. It had the consistency and taste of true carved turkey breast as opposed to processed turkey that you usually find in quick service restaurants. The bartenders were friendly and polite. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed with a great view of the pool and the tropical setting beyond. A great place to take a break from a packed Disney schedule!

I always thoroughly enjoy my time at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and this day was no exception! Wanting to take in the (slightly) warmer temperatures and sunshine, I sat at the pool bar. The service was impeccable. Noticing I was carrying my phone charger in hand as I walked up, the bartender proactively pointed me to the seat next to the outlet and even moved me and plugged me in at the bar so I could sit in the sunshine as the temperatures cooled. They were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu also. The drink menu is pretty standard for what you'll get at the deluxe resort pool bars - a large selection of beer, some mixed cocktails and a few select wines and sangrias. Prices are what you'll find throughout property, and really not too bad considering the usual Atlanta bar tab. Although I didn't order any food, a small "delivery service" menu with burgers, falafel, chicken, etc is available. Animal Kingdom Lodge has some great restaurants on property, though, and you can skip the delivery charge by heading to their quick service dining area that has the same fare.
