I almost didn't come here because of the reviews but I am very glad I did. The price for 2 people was 18and change with the coupon you get in little books from the hotel. The food was hit or miss but all in all very good especially the biscuts and gravy wich i found to be really really good. I don't know what the people who gave this place bad reviews were expecting be the food is very good for a breakfast buffet. Oh and Kimberly is a great upbeat server who made of experince that much better.

We arrived early but had to wait till the clock struck 7am before they would open the door! Free wifi helps the international traveller no end. The choice of foods was good but felt like we arrived a little early and the full stock was not all out. If you have never visited this place before ensure you get a coupon from one of the coupon booklets around and use it. Basically the discount it gives gets you a free tea or coffee, which come if course with unlimited refills.

Great breakfast for price of $6.99 nice fruit bar and omelet station. My kids ate more than I expected so I would definitely come again.

Won't answer phone. Voicemail is misleading. Its recorded with a pause, loud background noise and a gruff voice that answers "Ponderosa steak house" (pause) *Hi, I wanted to* ... IS NOT AVAILABLE. PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE. I called twice. No thanks. Hire better help and maybe pay them better than a baked potato per hour!!

Came here for breakfast buffet. I have never given a bad review. Enough said. The food was just nasty. They take advantage of the fact that they serve mostly tourist.

We went for the $7.00 breakfast buffet. It was not too bad - though, I thought there was going to be like all you can eat steak, oh me and my delusions. They had a good amount of everything from pancakes, hashbrowns, like three different types of eggs, lots and lots of bacon, etc... It was not too bad. I think if you're looking for hearty and cheap, its a good place to go.

We never have come for dinner, but always come for breakfast on the weekends if I don't feel like cooking. The food here is okay. Typical buffet stuff... But they will cook you an omelette, eggs, toast, grilled bagel to order with no additional cost.... For some reason my husband and I love the toast here...... But the reason we keep coming back is for the service, which is always excellent.... They remember my son, and are always happy to see him..... Thank you Angee, Ping, Carlos, Gracie for always having a smile on their face..... They will go out of their way to ensure that everything is okay!!! Also, we have the Kids Eat Free card, so Anthony is always free..... Less than $20 for breakfast and drinks works for me!

So, we went here Christmas Eve for breakfast. They sat our group of ten right away. Christmas music was playing in the background. The food was pretty good. It was a 7$ breakfast buffet and they can make special request cooked to order eggs. I ordered the eggs over easy and it was wonderfully done. The server was very helpful too and tended to the table and cleaned up often and kept my coffee hot and filled. I fancied the oatmeal, milk and brown sugar, but they had these eggs Benedict and the bread was just tough to cut through.

We ordered just the salad bar, having been told that it included both hot & cold foods. The selection of foods were meager and the was quality very poor. Greasy, stale nacho chips. Canned tasting con queso sauce. Limp salad greens and rancid tasting salad dressing. Canned, chewy clam chowder. Week-old bread sticks. Curdled mini cheese cake muffins. Burnt coffee. Front entrance is wheelchair accessible, but has no power door. However, salad bar (too high) & tables (all booths) are not wheelchair accessible. With beverage we spent over $60 for 4 people. Everyone left hungry, and two got sick.

It has been years since I've visited Ponderosa, so I was extremely excited to coming to this location. The staff were great and the food was delicious. The buffet is a real treat and can fill you up without a main entree!

People are nice here, baked potato nice and flakey, and the salad is OK is about all the good I can say. I grew up with Ponderosa as a treat in the Midwest, so part of the reason I went tonight was for nostalgia. My childhood memories are so much better than this... I had the t-bone steak and it was a thin, flat as a pancake really bad cut of meat. Actually reminded me of the Denny's t-bone... I drowned it in their steak sauce which seems like a poor A-1 imitation. Golden Corral is just down the street. I think most people will be much happier there for choice and food quality if its anything like the other Golden Corral's I have been to.

Surprisingly, Erika's observations were dead on. I too heard British people at the buffet bar. A whole family right beside me with accents thicker than the mashed potatoes and gravy. When I was in high school, Ponderosa used to be our prefered joint for filling up on chicken wings and soft-serve ice cream. I can't say I re-lived the experience, but it sure was nice to visit. Definitely, after spending a boat load of money at the theme parks on tasty yet paltry food, it's nice to come into a Ponderosa and to fill your stomach up like a balloon. We originally wanted to come in for the $3.99 breakfast buffet, but that never happened. My parents are fans of Olive Garden but the nearest one was not open for business yet. Bottomline, this place was definitely worth the money you spend AND the money you saved you could then spend on gifts at the adjacent souvenir shop.

My family and I ate at Ponderosa about 4 years ago, during our family vacation to Disney's Magic Kingdom. I thought the $3.99 buffet breakfast was a deal (that's what I saw in the coupon book), but you just ended up spending more money. The buffet was alright, but it's nothing to brag about. At least the place was clean and the staff was friendly

Screw the Full House buffet next door to Ponderosa--this place is great. At least Ponderosa doesn't charge you gratuity like their buffet neighbor (for review on that check my profile). Only complaint about Ponderosa is they're sneaky about asking you if you want sides like mushrooms or onions and seasoning for steak and chicken. They don't tell you get charged for that kind of stuff--yeah its only $1.00 so or more for that kind of stuff, but really if you're ordering off their $9.99/$10.99 menus to save money on vacation, do you really want to get screwed on stuff like sides and seasonings? Service is fantastic, nice people. Great buffet. Love their soft serve ice cream, but expect to wait for the machine to make them on busy days as of course they run out quick. This Ponderosa is also connected to Bargain World next door--save your Ponderosa receipt! Bargain World gives out free keychain or pens. If you have a choice--take the key chain cuz damn the pens usually don't work.

Went here for $3.99 breakfast buffet. You only get that price if you purchase a $2 soft drink. Buffet was decent, nothing special. Had all the basics including fruit and some sweets.

It's been quite some time since my visit to this place but that should be more of an example of how truly horrible it was than anything. My wife and I decided to try this place once because she said she had good memories of eating at Ponderosa when she was a child. This was a time when nostalgia was absolutely NOT a good thing. The food was absolutely horrible, we both got sick from our visit to this supposed restaurant. The staff didn't seem to care about the customers, and they were filthy looking (the people, not just the restaurant, although the place as a whole wasn't much better), and they didn't seem to have a clue about keeping the food sanitary and cooked thoroughly. I can honestly say I will never set foot in this place again, it's even become a joke when we pass this area that we can both feel our stomach turning just seeing the sign. If you have no choice but to eat at this place, I seriously suggest you choose starvation.

People from England LOVE the Ponderosa! I don't know why, but they do. Just an observation I've made after going here a few times on family vacations years ago. No matter what time you go here, there's usually a line. And I'll bet you $ that there will be an English family waiting in line next to you. But most tourists staying in that area has been to either the Ponderosa, Sizzler, or the other cheap steak + buffet restaurants on that strip. Families are lured by the flashy signs proclaiming "$3.99 Breakfast Buffet" and of course, their $10 steak & potato meal plus buffet. I'm not gonna lie, when you're on vacation shelling out mucho dinero for Disney and Universal Studios, places like the Ponderosa are easy on the wallet. I'm not recommending the place, but I wouldn't shame you for going either.

WOW This is the most boring and sad dining experience I have had in a long time. The ads for the brochure make it look like you will be getting high quality food at a fair price. In the ad it shows 3.99 for the breakfast buffet. what they don't tell you is that the drinks are 2.50. The the food on he buffet looks so sad and old. The fruit was either canned and had an artificially sweet taste or it looks like it was left over from yesterday. The selection was poor and even the coffee was 2.50!! save your money and go to the IHOP down the street.
