I am visiting Orlando from North Carolina and I decided to try this place out before I left town. As I entered the restaurant, the manager held the door for me. I asked him what he recommended as this us my first time visiting the restaurant. We do not have them in my home city. He took the time to walk through and explain the entire menu to me. This was very welcome and appreciated. After placing my order, I proceeded to try and find a place to sit in the dining room. It was hard to find somewhere to sit as the majority of the tables were dirty and littered with food debris. I visited the Saucing Island and found that it left much to be desired. It was filthy and most of the items were empty. I visited the restroom to wash my hands before I ate. Thete was no toilet paper in the restroom nor was there any paper towels in the dispenser that is inside the stall. My food was delivered promptly and I was pleased with its appearance. They did however, forget to give me my drink cup. As a plus, the manager came by my table and asked how my meal was. That was welcome as I have found that thst level of customer service is rare in today's market place. Thete were positives and negatives but overall, I give them four stars. The manager on Duty tonight should be commended.

This is one of the nicest pollo tropical that I've been to, which doesn't Say much as I rarely go. However, it's very nice and beachy, and I didn't know that there was a sauce bar. The cheesy yuca bites were quite tasty, and the garlic aoli sauce from the bar is great!

Pollo Tropical is local fast casual chain serving Caribbean cuisine. Everything on the menu is very inexpensive, even the family combo meal was less than $12. This is sort of like a Caribbean Chipotle, except you order at the counter, take a number, and then they bring you your food. We were in a rush, so this was the perfect place for us. We shared the chicken bowl which came with chicken, rice, your choice of brown or white, beans and veggies. We also ordered the Caribbean chicken soup and a last minute decision of waffle fries, since their condiment bar looked so awesome. The cilantro garlic sauce was especially delicious. The food was pretty good, the sauce bar was excellent, and the prices were great.

Upon entering we were promptly greeted and given our table number since this is the new and improved Pollo Tropical. Before my coworker and I even had our drinks filled at the drink station the "server" informed us her food was at the table. This was a little unnerving. I understand that the restaurant is newly open but I don't think that's good practice to leave a guest's food at a table that they haven't even been to yet. My coworker had to return to the counter when her order was incorrect because she wasn't given the correct number of shrimp. They quickly fixed it but it was a bit frustrating none the less. I will try this location again just because I really love the food and reevaluate.

I went here late; I was hungry and most other places had already closed for the night. I initially wanted the quarter baked chicken but it seemed as if the servant didn't understand what I was asking. So I made it simpler for her by changing my order to a Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap, small Macaroni & Cheese and a Mango Sweet Tea. The chicken wrap was not that good. It was bland and the filling was falling out of the wrap. It was as if it had been made hastily. The mac and cheese was pretty decent, along with the mango sweet tea. I'd give this venue another chance because I'd really like to try their rotisserie chicken. And hopefully round two is much better.

I read a lot of reviews on this and seems everyone loves their food but for the most part reviews lacked service at times. My experience was pretty good as I did a drive thru. Everything ordered came out as ordered. Service was quick and food I must say was really good. Chicken I can compare to my local dominican Spanish restaurant along with rice and beans. Pork was not as seasoned to my liking along with yuca but was disappointed that the person taking the order did not mention anything regarding sauces. I heard from reviews that they have a really nice sauce bar as this would of of made the pork and yuca a lot more tasty . Overall really great for a franchise. I would really love to see these in ny/nj as this would do great is certain areas. I would definitely be a regular here.. I can't comment on inside of the place but seemed new looking from outside. Great bang for your buck!

I haven't been to a Pollo Tropical in ages! My co-workers have been going to one of their new locations near work, so I was excited when I saw this one today. Much different than their older restaurants! Before we ate, we stopped in the restroom. They weren't as clean as they probably could have been. After that I checked out the menu board. Decisions, decisions... I settled on the quesadilla chicken salad. As we waited at our table, we went to the sauce bar and the soda station. Both were dirty and didn't look like they had been wiped down recently. As I was at the soda station, the woman that was the food runner came by with a tray of food. I guess another woman and myself were in her way and we were basically told to move. The other woman commented to me on how rude she was. The funny thing was that later, the same runner came and checked on us and offered extra dressing. Must have been quite the day for her. The salads were good. We also tried the garlic silantro sauce on it. That was the best! We took some of that to go!

This has to the be the coolest place ever! Love the decor and design. The food is fresh and large portions. The yuca in garlic sauce was a bit bland and they put chicken on my vegetarian bowl but besides that everything was yummy. Only did take out but want to go and actually hang out free refills even on their mango tea

I finally got a chance to try this out because they built one by my house. My son eats this all the time and loves it. Food is fresh and delicious! The people who work here are really nice. Very upbeat and happy. Our cashier Michael claimed the mac and cheese was off the chain' and he wasn't lying! my chicken breast and yellow rice and vegetables was so good even my daughter ate it and she hates veggies. She had pork medallions were tender and not over seasoned and the rum pineapple sauce was boss. The best thing was the guava cheesecake holy cow it was awesomeness. Sorry chick filet. The competition beats your shakes with this cheesecake! Yum!

This location just opened a few days ago and has a unique concept - when you enter you are given a number, which you tell the cashier when you order. The hostess then puts this number on a table for you, you find your table after getting your drinks and sauces, and your food is brought out to you - on actual plates (not paper)! With actual silverware (rolled in napkins). And if you didn't order desert and change your mind about wanting some, just tell the server. We did like the seating arrangement here as having been to other Pollo's you tend to end up with a large crowd of people waiting for the food at the counter (both dine in and take out), and sometimes there aren't enough seats as people will grab a booth upon entering while the rest of the party goes to wait in line and wait for food. Service was very friendly when we went for lunch on Valentine's day to take advantage of the $9.99 special for two. We saw many people using this email offer, with some people ordering the offer each and taking the second meal home for later. You really can't beat $10 for two meals! :) The sauce bar even has mini trays so you can carry more than a few sauces back to your table at one time. (The mini trays and the plates are in solid colors fitting in with the tropical theme.) All in all, the location is good and the service was great! It is a bit smaller here, but I've noticed that is the case with restaurants on this end of HWY 192. Hopefully the service levels are kept up at this location as all to often after a grand opening, things tend to go downhill. :)

Fast food prices and restaurant customer services. The food was great but my stepfather is a frequent diner of Pollo Tropicals in Florida and he said the food pretty much sucked. I thought it was good for the price though. I don't know maybe I was just hungry after the pool.

Don't think I can manage to try this place again. I personally witnessed many groups and families walk out tonight do to slow service. Packed house tonight with 1 cashier and a few people in the back with absolutely no drive or motivation to move. Looked like I was watching a zombie film. I ordered only a side dish and total time from walking in the door to leaving was 46 minutes. NOT GOOD for a fast food place. The workers all looked completely miserable. You can tell they only got a little happier when another family was frustrated and decided not to wait as well. I ordered just a side a corn soufflé. They must of been waiting for a fresher pan to be put in. The cashier noticed I was waiting a long time and decided to go back and take care of it. He scraped the bottom on the pan and gave me old dehydrated corn soufflé that looked and felt horrible. I had to say something. Not to mention gave me a tiny sized which was not what I ordered. Then I complained and they gave me the fresh pan after going into the back. Lack of consistency already? Really? Step up your game Pollo Tropical!! This is not a good way to keep your people happy!! Bring back the old school Pollo. This new concept is horrible and everyone agrees. This experienced really turned me off to this franchise.

Healthy fast food. I was starving but I really didn't want to sit somewhere and have the full dining experience. I just wanted something quick and healthy. I grabbed a quick, lite tropi chop. The brown rice was crunchy like they gave me the rice at the bottom of the pot. I noticed they forgot my red beans after I left and it was too far to go back. I normally love pollo but overall this was a disappointing experience.

We ordered food at 9:33 tonight. We've waited over a half hour and no food. Same for the people all around us. The lady working the dining room is screaming at the people working the counter. Definitely not an atmosphere I want to be in but at least they have free wifi? We've been here a handful of times before and the food is always awesome and we get it quickly. I love their sauce bar- especially the pineapple and the cilantro. Usually the food is good, hot and quick. Today- not so much. If you're doing drive through check your order because they have left stuff out for me in the past.

We hit up this pollo about once ever week or so, it might be a while till the next visit. This past Sunday the place was packed, I expected to wait a while but waited almost 25 minutes for my meal. The place was a wreck, and our favorite mango tea was out. We asked the staff and they said they would make some, fine but 25 minutes later our food finally arrived and the tea was still not refreshed, I date directly across from it. When I asked if they had any in the back for the drive thru, they said no. When it first opened it was awesome, every visit since has been slightly more disappointing. The portions get smaller, the chicken drier, and the wait longer. We will give it another chance before pollo makes the black list, the corn soufflé and mango tea are they only thing keeping me coming back, I just hope they don't ruin those.

Is it pronounced Pollo (with an L sound) or Poyo (with a Y sound)? Beats me but the food tastes pretty good! Pros: - very fresh food - you can get brown rice (that makes me happy) - really a tasty chicken, moist, good light char on the 1/2 chicken - the sauce bar was great - easy menu for first-timer to navigate - basic menu choices for the picky eater and some menu items for the more adventureous person. - my wife says "the best fast food mac n' cheese ever" Cons: - desserts were not great (our group of diners shared three - cheesecake, flan, tres leches cake) - the current shrimp bowl special is small. tiny shrimp, smaller portion. All-in-all a nice choice for a better-than-normal fast food meal.

Grilled, juicy chicken, yummy! Fried yuca, plantains and great service. The staff is friendly, helpful and exceptional. You order your food at the counter and a server brings your meal to the table, no tipping.

What the heck happened to their food and customer service? Went to the drive thru today and wasn't even acknowledge with a greeting when paying or leaving. Items were also missing from my order so I had to go inside and tell them I didn't receive everything I ordered. The chicken was dry and looked like it had been sitting out for awhile. So disappointing.

A+++++ can't beat the price- 12.99 for a family meal. The food tastes great too! We were there every day while on vacation. If it was in New York I'd eat there extremely often! Come to NY!!!

I like the concept of the sitting and waiter. It helps with crowd control and people fighting over sits. It's similar to what disney does at there busy restaurants. It's a tourist spot so they need to keep some type of order because people can be rude and nasty at times. Food was good as always.

Not your typical pollo tropical... For some reason this new Pollo Tropical falls short. They don't have the same environment as the usual PT. The management although they are nice to the clients, are rude to their employees, and that's something I experienced first hand. As I was ordering, the manager was yelling at the employee for an error he made in front of me. After I wait 10 mins for our meal, we are informed that they don't have yellow rice, it would've been nice to know before ordering, as that's one of the reasons why we love PT. Also they raised the prices, to the point that they're not competitive anymore. If you want the good ole PT, go to the one by downtown Kissimmee.

Tasty! But as others have noted, slow service. If not in a 'fast-food' hurry, an excellent choice. The tropichop is my go-to, small size is plenty enough!!
