Kobe is by far my favorite Japanese Steakhouse chain. Food is top notch and full of flavor. The prices are very reasonable and you get more for your money than most hibachi steakhouses. I've been to some where you only get meat, rice, and veggies. Noodles or soup costs extra and no salad on the menu. At Kobe you get soup, salad, noodles, rice, veggies, and a meat all for one reasonable price is a deal on it's own. I would always recommend going in for the early bird special. Arrive when they open at 4:30 and you'll beat the tourist dinner crowd. It gets really crowded and really noisy if you go any later. When you go in at 4:30 you may have to wait for a full table to come in but you'll get to dine in peace and for cheap! Locations Tip: The one on parkway is probably the one we visit the most but I've come to find that the one on I-Drive has above and beyond service, and this one comes in a close second but we're regulars at the restaurant so maybe that's why. I would avoid the one on Kirkman though.

never eaten a meal where more butter was used to cover up for bad cooking and poor meat. I had the hibachi filet and this is how much butter and oil is left in my plate after asking mine to be prepared with NO butter. By the end of the meal 6 or the 9 of us wet requesting no butter be added to anything else. It was horrible. Sushi was terrific. But it was far to pricey for the hibachi especially with quality beef and preparation.

This is one of the best restaurants in central Florida!! Every time We've dined here we have had a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Make sure you get a reservation because it is always busy. Leidy the hostess was very helpful, She made sure we got a table in a timely manner even though it was very crowded. Yenny our server was great! She was knowledgeable about the menu and was very helpful. Also they have a great happy hour menu, Sushi rolls and drinks at a good price. Thank you Kobe for always being a great place to eat.

This is the Hibachi king amongst Hibachi grills, the house of kobe. I love the chicken and beef hibachi and the chefs are always entertaining. Great way to enjoy friends or company with entertainment and good food.

Ahhhh Kobe Steakhouse, how times have changed... Every year my daughter's field hockey team attends a huge college showcase down at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney and every year we traditionally go to Kobe for a Hibachi meal. Never had any issues...not once. Meals have been great, Service great, it's been a nice run. This year, something changed. First off, getting a reservation was a pain in the neck...and we called two days ahead of time. What bothered me most was we were told to arrive at a certain time and it took almost 30 minutes to be seated...and THEN we had to split up the four tables into two different rooms. Normally, that wouldn't be a huge deal-parents in one room, kids in another, but this is always a big picture taking event for us so that didn't quite work out this year. Anyway, the show is the show. In the past we've had GREAT cooks and this year the parents just kind of had guys who weren't into it. No flipping of the food in people's mouths, no streaming of sake into someone's mouth. It was kind of boring for us...but the KID'S tables had a blast. So onto the food...I ordered the scallops and sirloin and the meal came with noodles, veggies and fried rice (plus a miso soup appetizer). The whole thing seemed skimpy on the good stuff and plentiful on the filler. My noodles were a greasy, oily mess and the veggies weren't done enough to get a char. My scallops were MUCH smaller than in previous years, and they didn't even remove the outer muscle which was hard and chewy. The sirloin was quite delicious, but was also a small piece of meat. The fried rice, which came with the meal, was actually quite good, but was really just more filler. Not sure I will go here again next year as the quality has gone down hill a bit. Really a shame as it's always been our go-to spot.

Best hibachi ever! Ask for "Jee" spelled "GE" (like General Electric) VERY accommodating to vegan and food allergies. Ingredients were fresh and service was A+++

DISGUSTING...Consider this as a warning. Don't even bother to come here if you're looking for high quality Asian food and CLEANLINESS to dine in. My family and I decided to dine in at the regular tables since the wait for the hibachi was too long. I've never had problems with other Kobe locations but this one was bad. My family and I got seated and once we sat down we realized the table wasn't even cleaned, it was sticky and water marks all over. The hostess failed to notice that, so we had to walk back up front and tell her and she cleaned it while we were seating there... She should have moved us to a different table, in my opinion. And finally we ordered food off of a menu that was very basic, the server brought out plates and it was disgusting that there was food remains on one of the plates, I assumed the dishes weren't even cleaned properly. My family and I was about to walk out before the food came but the manager convinced us otherwise. And when the food came out it tasted horrible the chicken was dried the noodles were undercooked the portion was small and overpriced. I only came here because it was the only place that still opened and it disappointed me big time. I will never return here. DISGUSTING!

My wife and I are sushi fanatics. We probably eat it once a week, heck I even make my own. We live in savannah so we usually have access to very fresh fish. We're visiting Orlando on vacation and were craving sushi. This place was right next to the resort so we walked over. We ordered very simple things to start, edamame and calamari. Calamari was tender and fried to perfection, edamame was done, not over done and not over salted. Ordered ultimate tuna and some other specialty rolls and we were both blown away. Very fresh taste, real wasabi, and the service is A+. Come before 7 if you don't wanna wait for a table.

This is 2 restaurants in 1! My friend and I waited 20 mins thinking we were going to get to sit at a hibachi grill spot, but got seated in a Chinese/Japanese fusion restaurant next door. The only reason we came was for hibachi, and if we wanted to eat Chinese we would have gone elsewhere. Also, there were open seats everywhere, why did we have to wait? Service wasn't good and neither was the food. Not going back.

Beware... Roaches!!!!! First time I'm here and as we placed our drink, appetizer, and entrée order here comes Mr Roach. All comfortable... I asked the waitress if the had a problem with vermin and she smiled and nodded yes. Got up and left.

I been to couple of Hibachi restaurants in NYC all great and my friend recommended this place since I been craving Hibachi. Just like all the other reviewers here this place and location was great. Our Chief Toshi was amazing and made this Bday boy very happy. We order the Kobe Trio my God every item he served to us was amazing from the veggies, crab cakes, noodles, rice and of course the meats just incredible very Juicy and tender. We upgraded to the Filet Mignon for $5 more and it was worth it. Guys I highly recommend this place you will not leave disappointed. Oh and come hungry they will serve you a ton of food.

BUGS!!!! sat down at the hibachi table and as the guy starting cooking, a medium size roach looking bug goes crawling along the table! We swat the bug to the floor and told the staff that seemed little concerned a bug was now crawling along the ground. The chef guy made a joking comment about it but also didn't seemed concerned either, huge red flag perhaps? As gross as that was we wrote this off as anomaly....not 2 minutes later.... Another bug crawling along the table!!!! The server used my napkin to grab this one. At this point my girlfriend and I were standing up completely grossed out. A manager came over realizing a scene was happening. He took out his cell phone (for the flashlight feature) and was looking under the table for more bugs. At this point were standing around and made the comment to them, perhaps you should move us to another table? and quite frankly they should have moved everyone else from this table. We finally decided this was too much as we lost our appetite and left. I find it overall concerning that the sight of roaches crawling along the table was not a big deal to this place. You really have to wonder that if two roaches go crawling along the table in plain sight, what is going on in the places that you can't see (food prep areas, where dishes are stored and other cooking areas). Never going back again.

I went here one time and it was not what I expected I asked for chicken and it was like I got potatoes or the chicken was just so fall apart squishy I didn't like it the experience was nothing like I would have ever thought of but I did like how it brought me back to another Japanese place that I love even more now than I did then. my recommendation is go to somewhere else then this place.

Made dinner reservations here on Thursday. Arrived at the restaurant to find they did not have it. Turns out I made reservations at International Drive and this one is considered Kissimmee. The girls at the counter were quick to take care of this. They offered the typical hibachi offerings. Went with fillet and chicken. There grilled vegetables had a nice twist I wasn't expecting. They had carrots and green beans. Also all the steak dishes are served with potatoes. The meals came with both fried rice and noodles. My wife was pleased because she loves garlic flavored noodles. This will become a regular visit on our trips to see the mouse. Definitely worth the stop.

My parents and I had an excellent experience at this KObe location. It's a LOT of food when you choose the hibachi so come hungry. The only downside was the fact that we made a reservation but we still waited 25mins for our table.

This place was so legit I came back after months to make my first yelp about it. Although it's got the name Steakhouse in it I don't think many people automatically come here for steak and usually go to the bigger names, Charleys, Ruth Chris, Outback and Longhorn but you are cheating yourself. I have neva eva eva, eva eva had a steak like the steak I had this night. I have been to Kobe before in fact this same location and have never been unhappy but on this particular night our cook brought it. The steak was softer than some mash potatoes I've eaten in my past. I'm pretty sure it would have dissolved in my mouth if I wasn't such a fat ass and let it. My biggest regret is that I don't remember our cooks name and it's not because of the show. I don't even remember the show it was all about the food and how well he cooked it. Mitsubishi, Yokahama or Hayabusa all these guy's names sound the same but I'm pretty sure that this oriental angel came down from heaven to make me and my wife that steak that night. God Bless him! Of course the white sauce was legit as always and if you're not into it why even bother coming? Everyone knows their white sauce is where it's at. While it's not cheap but also not extremely expensive this place is the bomb.com . As soon as I can fit it in the budget we'll be back. Always leftovers to take home unless you eat it all like me and walk out like a contestant for Worlds Biggest Loser. I recommend the Steak, Shrimp and Chicken. If you are into a girl and she doesn't like you after taking her here, just give it up because you'll never be able to please her. If I could give 10 stars I would of. This steak so good it makes you wanna slap yo momma!

I came here for my sister's birthday. We sat down and ordered chicken wings which were really good as well as tuna tataki which was nicely seared and seasoned. I had them prepare the filet mignon with lobster combination. It was delicious and savory. The fried rice was so damn good. I had a very good meal and my sister had a nice birthday. Great Kobe location with a friendly staff and one good Kobe-hibachi chef.

I really wanted some hibachi and the website claims they have a separate dining room if you don't want to sit at a grill table... The separate dining room DOESNT SERVE HIBACHI. It actually had a Chinese restaurant menu and a different name than the steakhouse. Since I was already there, I ordered the "Kobe steak" since the waitress said it was the closest thing to hibachi steak on that menu... It was literally a very thin breakfast steak on a pile of extremely greasy veggies with a bowl of rice. Not at all worth the price and not very flavorful. The plate was also literally swimming in grease and my stomach has felt kinda blah ever since dinner. I really wish they had specified that the 2nd dining room is actually a completely different restaurant with a completely different menu before I drove over there. I will not be back :(

Great food, but the service was abysmal. It took us nearly an hour to be seated, and even while we waited at the bar, I had to use to females next to us to help flag down a bartender. However, the food was good (though small in portions).

Didn't sit at the grill area but I should've, it looked nice. Sat in the restaurant booth and experience wasn't as fun. Food was ok, I expected for the price it would be better. Steak was better at Charlie's next door.

Good sized portions for the habachi, fair prices. Good chef, very entertaining. Only ??? is why they decided to cook some red bliss potatoes with their hibachi steak meals. It just doesn't fit!

Incredible experience all around! We were seated quickly, treated like royalty and enjoyed an unbelievable meal. I had the steak and chicken, my kids had the steak from the reasonable kids menu and my wife had the shrimp. We'll definitely be back!

The food is great and so is the service! The drinks are out of this world good! And the food is prepared right in front of you with such amazing flair! And the prices are actually pretty decent for all that you get! Definitely an experience everyone should try, you won't regret it!

Kobe usually refers to a very expensive steak, but in this case it is a name for an overpriced joke restaurant. This is a great place for a $1 steak with a $49 show that great for a 9 year old's birthday party. The seats are about as tough as the steak which they cut up for you which is fine when you are in a nursing home. Otherwise if you're not lucky you might be sitting with a table of strangers that are insisting it be vegan with food allergies, and screw up everything. Got allergies? Stay home. Don't expect the grill is really that clean. It's about clean as my 10 year olds room. As for the meal, it's designed for idiots. They start with soup that is like water with 2 mushrooms and an onion. Salad that has this pile on gunk on it. And then they throw some vegetables on the plate and then rice and then the entree 15 minutes later. So it's just a question of how cold do you mind it being. Speaking of cold, when you walk in, the chairs around the table, it's freezing. Two women were wishing they could have hot flashes. Don't wear a thin shirt, you might rip it on your nipples. Overall if you are desperate, go away anyway. Just don't wear anything you might wear later than night otherwise the smell of the grease might attract wild dogs to chase after you.

I always enjoyed dining at Kobe's because I know I will always receive great service & food. My last current visit was probably my favorite so far because our chef was very engaging to the customers. He kept calling me his son while he was cooking. It was a joke a course, but this added fun while watching him cook our food. The other customers thought it was funny. The chef made some very humorous jokes from random things. For example, he said, "The vegetables are from Wal-Mart because Wal-Mart has everyday low prices." The servers are very efficient to clear out dishes & refill your drinks. If you are looking for an entertainment dinner at reasonable prices, then head on over to Kobe's today!!

3.5 stars. I would say this is my favorite hibachi restaurant except for the fact you can tell they try to cheat you out of certain easy things, like a tomato in the salad or always downsizing there bowl sizes for soup. Simple things like that. They do make you feel a bit rushed also. As for the food it's def great if you pay a little extra to get the quality steaks. The ones that come with the meal you can very easily tell if it wasn't from the extra sharp knife of the chef it would be a bit difficult to cut. I still like this place. When you leave here you can feel a bit uncomfortably full. Even if you don't over eat. It's the kinda place that you can handle once in a blue moon.

Solid teppanyaki restaurant. Our waiter had a great personality, and was fun to watch work. The wait staff was attentive and kept refilling our beverages. There was plenty of food, and the price is very reasonable (especially if you're able to get in for the early-bird special, saving you a few bucks a person). Worth checking out if you've never had teppanyaki before. Good venue for groups. The only issue we had was that we made a reservation, and they still made us wait 20 minutes in the lobby till more guests showed up to fill out the grill station.

Who doesn't love Kobe's?! Bonsai!!!! This is your typical Kobe Japanese steakhouse. The food and chefs are very good, and try pretty hard to keep you entertained. A few things to remember are their early bird special, no you do not have to be 60 and in a walker to partake, and free dinner on your birthday! They have pretty decent deals, and you will definitely be full when you leave......usually with a box full of left over noodles!

Ate there 2/23/2015 in the little China side. Had Moo Goo Gai Pan. Very fresh chicken and tender crisp vegetables. Wait staff was excellent. Price was $14 ......a little more than the other Chinese places that I have eaten at. But I thought it was well worth it.

Best Japanese Steak House I've ever visited. Travelled from Chicago on vacation and will definitely be returning. Our chef was funny and interactive. One couple at our table request Yoshi to be their chef every time and visit almost once a week. Ask for Yoshi!

The inside was absolutely beautiful and had plenty of seating in the waiting area. There was a beautiful coi pond that the kids loved and kept them busy while we waited. At the table we were seated with another family around the hibachi grill. Our chef was fun and we had a great time with him. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Way too much food though. Not only did they give you rice but you get a whole plate of noodles as well. We could have eaten off leftovers for a week. It was pretty pricey but the food and atmosphere and the whole experience was worth it.

  • Vivid I.

3 stars because of the organized outdoor& indoor waiting area including the koi pond. Very friendly/courteous staff. protein was cooked well but what bothered me the most was the amount of fillers they provide for each hibachi order. I always praise a restaurant when the portions are large but I know when a restaurant is trying to fill up a hungry customer. Why in the world do you give fried rice & noodles ( linguini pasta??) now, when have you ever heard of Asians stir frying linguini noodles? if the reason is bc you rather not serve up some extra vegetables... I get it but stacking up the plate w fried rice & fried linguini makes no sense! If you're ordering your protein entree, I'm sure u would agree, you're not spending $$$ to fill up on rice & pasta (cheapest items restaurants order in bulk). May I suggest:Why not give the customer a choice of fried rice or noodles? No one really needs double carbs stacked on their plate unless requested & it won't hurt you to cook up an extra strip of zucchini squash & a couple pieces of mushroom and throw that on our plates instead. Besides that, it's a decent experience.

Initially very slow to be seated. Having diabetes made this very difficult. We were a group who planned ahead but were told that about 30 of us had to wait. Once we were seated, the service and food were good although a little heavy with noodles (instead of the common bean sprouts) and potatoes mixed with the steak.

As a tourist, it is always a good sign when you are the only non-local at the table. This restaurant totally lived up to the reviews here. My food was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Way too much to eat in one sitting. I wish I had a microwave in the room so I could take the leftovers back to my hotel room. I had the Kobe Trio. The soup was OK... the salad had a very fresh flavor to the dressing. Then, on to the main event... Excellent mini crab cakes to start... I offered one to the person beside me, he declined... so I ate both... wonderful and full of crab! The rest of the meal was coo

Had a great time. The chefs are entertaining and the food is so good. Had the soup, salad, noodles, scallops and steak. Everything was cooked just right. My hubby had the dumplings as well as steak and chicken and it was just as good. Yes, it is expensive but you are not just getting a large amount of food but a show as well. It was a night out I'd recommend to anyone.

I went here while visiting Kissimmee to celebrate a birthday. I had asked people who lived local about a good place to eat and they all recommended Kobe. We had 6 adults and 4 children 3 and under. It was wonderful! The staff and chef were all very nice. The food was the best hibachi type food. I am from NY and have eaten at many places like this and Kobe was by far the best. They included so much in the price. We had an early 5:00 pm reservation and didn't realize they had early bird specials. We got a lot for our money. I wish there was one in NY.

We live across the street from this location and go about once a month. Their chefs are very skilled and entertaining and the food is always amazing. I always end up bringing home enough for a 2nd and sometimes 3rd meal. Service is also very good. I don't see where the bad reviews are coming from, we have never had a negative experience at this restaurant.

Absolutely brilliant service, food is amazing ( and lots of it) it's clean and the decor is very fitting. Perfect place to go to socialize, first date, to celebrate, dinner with your family etc. Best of all, such a reasonable price for the quality of food and entertainment. Enjoy.

The location is close to Disney down town. Waitress and hostess were very kind and warm welcome guests; however, OMG..this is not Japanese food. They shouldn't even call them as Japanese restaurant. The quality of food we're not very good. We tried some udons as well as A couple of Maki (sushis). Freshness is not so good and the reason that I give 2 Starts due to the friendly waitress.

I ate here about three years ago when we were still living in Jacksonville and it was wonderful then. No Japanese Steakhouse in Jacksonville was ever as good after dining here. Now, three years later, even after seeing some rather negative reviews on Yelp for this particular restaurant, I returned just the other night. It is still as spectacular as I remembered from the past - if not better! The hostesses are extremely friendly and inviting from the moment you walk in the door. We arrived shortly after 5pm, which is the time they open every evening, so it wasn't very busy yet. We were seated at the grill almost immediately. The restaurant is very clean, warm, and inviting. We lucked out and had some really awesome people at the grill with us which made the experience even more fun! Our waitress was wonderful and stayed on top of everything through the entire meal. Plates were cleared immediately, glasses were refilled before we even needed more. Not to mention, I LOVE the steaming warm towels brought out before the meal.. ahhhh! If you are in the mood for a good cocktail, I highly recommend the 21 oz. Mai Tai! It was so good and the bartender did not skimp on the alcohol at all!! Being a lightweight myself, it kinda knocked me for a loop! If I would have had a second, I would have needed someone to carry me from the restaurant! Our Chef was also wonderful. Yes, it was the same old cheesiness with Disney and Seaworld humor mixed in for the sake of the tourists; but, hey, it was fun! He was also a very good Chef because the food was cooked to perfection. I had the teriyaki chicken and it was fab! Everything was fab! The soup was very good, as was the rice and noodles. It even says on the menu you will not leave hungry and they give you all the rice and noodles you can eat! Gotta love that - we brought home so much food we both had a full meal the next day. Score! It was my birthday, so at the end of the meal, they brought out a cute little cupcake with a candle and did the whole song and dance routine. Normally, I would have been completely embarrassed, but the Mai Tai I mentioned above had me completely relaxed and feeling good and I was loving all the attention. Even more spectacular was when the check came, they gave us 15% off the total price for my birthday. Score again! I'll definitely be back... again and again and again! Great staff, great food... what more can you ask for??!! Also, I must comment about the person who said everything was overpriced because the restaurant is located on tourist alley. Ummm.. no, it's not. You can expect the same prices as you would from other Japanese Steakhouses. I've eaten at them in many cities in various states and the prices are comparable. I actually paid a couple of dollars more for the teriyaki chicken at a Japanese Steakhouse in Montgomery, Alabama and didn't have nearly as much food on my plate.

Best restaurant ever. Seated within ten minutes, and they kept a quick pace the entire time. It was hard to keep up. The lobster tail was amazing, although my wife didn't like it very much. I also had the filet mignon, but I didn't feel like it tasted much better than the sirloin. Others in my party got the shrimp, scallops and chicken and they were all good as well. Can't wait to go back.

I've been going to Kobe for several years now and my son wanted to go for his 19 th Birthday. I told him to bring his ID so we could get his birthday discount. When we checked in, the hostess told us that we have to register online now 8 days in advance for the birthday discount. I then went to the manager Chris and he told me the same thing and he would not honor the discount under any circumstances. I was not aware of this change in policy and thought it was stupid since my son clearly had his ID with his birthday on it. We were a party of 9 and I thought that was pretty crappy guest service, apparently something they know nothing about since we had been at that location many times before. A discount would have appeased me or even a future voucher but Chris offered nothing...we won't be back.

Food was tasty and fresh. Nice, light environment. Definitely a win-win. Price is about average for hibachi places.

First Visit: Kibatchi food and show was great---very happy although I felt the hibatchi chef was very slow. We had to eat the meal in different segments: rice, wait, noodles, wait , vegetables, wait, shrimp, wait, chicken wait. Usually it is a little more" all together". Second Visit: We waited 45 minutes for simple sushi which was lackluster.

We loved Kobe! The best hibachi we've ever had. Our chef Yoshi was really funny and all the food was excellent. You get an onion soup, salad, fried rice, noodles, and vegetables along with you meat. This is the first hibachi we have been to where they actually cook a little extra of everything so no one gets stuck with too little of something if they don't portion it correctly, or if some people at your table decides they want "double fried rice" (I hate those people). The white sauce was awesome and I plan to order some online. I had no idea you could buy it from them! We will be back for sure next time we visit Florida.

Seriously? This place is really Kobe Japanese Steakhouse? No, you have to be kidding...right? As this was my second visit to this restaurant, I was hoping that they would have Kobe beef this time since they didn't have it last time. What a shocker that so long between my two visits and the same hand written sign stating that they have no Kobe beef tonight is still hanging in the same spot. Did they get this restaurant with the already there signs and decided to make it into a Chinese restaurant? If I sound sarcastic, GOOD! What a disappointment. Especially since I didn't even want to come back here again since my last "experience" here. The menu they gave me said China Inn yet the restaurant is called Kobe Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar. I can't say if the others in the group liked what they had. As for me, my won-ton soup was salty and very plain. If that small bowl was the large, what's the cup? a teaspoon? Spicy tuna was boring and mostly rice. The only thing I enjoyed was my sex on the beach. Would I ever come back here when I'm in the area? That would be a BIG NOOOOOO!!

Better-than-average teppanyaki place. Very accommodating to vegans: just ask for the tofu and to hold the butter and eggs.

I ordered teriyaki chicken... the chicken was so very tender, flavored beautifully, and I definitely wanted more. The portion size was as expected. I got the fried cheesecake. ... You can skip that. The tempura frying doesn't match for texture or flavor. Why not graham cracker or cornbread breading? The server was sweet, and mostly attentive, though at the end she seemed to wander off for a while. Overall, more good than bad... and my entree was delicious!

Made a 7:00 reservation for hibachi. Got seated at 7:15. Didn't get soup until 7:40! Very slow service. Yoshi was a very entertaining chef. The proteins were tasty, the rest was just OK. Lots of food for the price!

Become a member, each card is for individual Kobe's but so worth it. Collecting points is the best way to get free or discounted meals. Fresh sushi, enjoy in a group w/the cook, private seating area or bar, it's all good. Daily happy hour from 4:30-6PM and from 9-10PM., $3 & $4 rolls, sake + more. Their scorpion drink is awesome, recommend to share with 2 or 3 friends. Anytime I'm in the area, I go in for a treat. I love my Kobe bartenders, Dat, Carlos & Angelo..... keep it coming, make me happy.

Unhappy. We opted to skip the hibachi and sit in the other half of the restaurant...which is called 'China Inn'? Umm is this two restaurants or one? Anyways, I ordered a miso soup and red curry. The obviously powdered miso soup was like $7 and the curry wasn't bad, but it wasn't spicy and kinda bland. No one seemed particularly thrilled with their food. The service was slow as heckk. My 80 year old grandparents were waiting for a long time before they got their food. They also mixed up all the orders and completely forgot to take the orders from one end of our table. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, because one of them was obviously new, but who gives the new waitress a table of 15 before she even knows the menu? Tourist. Trap.

Our first visit and the wait was about 20 minutes. We did not have a reservation so maybe that is acceptable. Everything came out very slow and was just ok- not spectacular by any means. Even the appetizer we ordered at the bar 20 minutes earlier had to be delivered to our table. The dipping sauces were very good and redeemed the taste of the NY strip steak. The chicken and scallops were better. If they had served our main course with either noodles or rice, it would have gone over better. Everything was paced out to where it was served alone and then you waited for the next item. We may try another location next time before saying we wouldn't go back. The chef was entertaining and did a good job overall.

Came here for a bachelor party and had a good time. We didn't have to wait long since we made reservations (Only had to wait because half of the party decided to show up late). The food was good and our chef did the usual tricks that make Hibachi well..... Hibachi. Our Chef didn't know much english but he did say "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh" at least 15 times. Kobe to me is slightly overrated. I have been to this Kobe and a Kobe near University of Alabama and I can honestly say it wasn't anything to write home about. How are they so legendary? I say give MIzu on Osceola Parkway a try. If you DO decide to dine here, your experience may be just like the three stars I gave this place. A-Ok.

This restaurant will have to suffice since there aren't many sushi options in the area. We ordered the sashimi boat for $40. It was barely enough to feed 2 people. The sashimi was standard, salmon, tuna, ocotpus, grouper, yellowtail, 2 hand rolls and spicy tuna rolls. The handrolls were tasty, loved the roe they put in it. I was disappointed that they didn't have more variety. I was specifically wanting sea urchin and sweet shrimp(live). Our waitress was very nice and checked on us constantly, but I guess that comes with the 18% gratuity they suggest(in red ink) on your bill.

Amazing experience! I'm not the most exhaustive reviewer but I will advise you to read the 5 star ratings as they were completely accurate! Our meal before tip would have been around $50 both my wife and I had the chicken and filet minion and I had the jasmine tea (we were there around 5:30 and got an early bird special) and everything was perfect and we would have left being very satisfied. That said much to my surprise while I was in the bathroom I saw a poster saying that there was a 2012 graduation special! My wife just graduated as a doctor and didn't even have her diploma yet! Our server still gave us the discount once we produced some pictures and that gave us $25 off of our bill!!! Making our total before tip $27 for hibachi! We left extremely happy and had nothing but great things so say about the whole experience!

my family was seated with a bunch of drunks from the bar when i specifically asked not to be seated with people who were drinking!!!! i have a 4 year old who has to sit and hear fu%^ this and fu%& that from this party of 7 who were seated already tipsy at the bar. when we brought the bad service to the waiting assistant he then proceeded to stand and discuss us with the waitress. we felt like it was going to turn for the worst with the drunks so we left, but not before asking for the manager who said he cant help if people drink!, but yes sir you can help seating people who are obviously tipsy who are seated at the bar and who carry there drinks with them to the table and then seat them with a family with a small child, and then your staff continued to bring them drinks even after they had enough, that is irresponsible, if you obviously do not care in your restaurant why should you care when these people dwi on the streets after they leave your establishment. so yes sir you can help it. please do not let this reflect on other kobe locations who of which we have had wonderful experiences.

  • Desperate for japanese food in Florida? There are a few places to satisfy your craving in Kissimmee, of which this is one. If you are 'normal' hungry, one portion at the teppenyaki table will feed 2. Let the friendly staff know, they have a price for that. I enjoyed the sushi more than the teppenyaki, and in the event of my return to Orlando, I would happily drive a little out of my way to eat here again. Note: this place closes at 10.30pm like a lot of places in Kissimmee - plan to eat early while you're over here.

We decided to try this place for dinner and had the early bird. Huge price cut on the menu but then they charge for every little item. Mushrooms extra!! Seriously? Extra vegetables and no rice extra!!! Please. I've had better hibachi elsewhere and probably won't be coming back here.

The food at this Kobe's seemed a little more flavorful than what I've had at the I-drive location. The soup was much better. Our chef spoke almost no English. They should probably buy new furniture for the waiting area soon considering most of the seating has holes in it. Overall good food, & the kids had fun watching it cook.

Orlando has TERRIBLE food and TERRIBLE service. Hands down. This is just borderline acceptable. If you don't want crappy service or crappy food, this will suffice. It's a safe choice. Everything is just ok.

I normally don't review chain-restaurants, but this is an exception as I've eaten from this Kobe since I was 3. This is the best Japanese steakhouse there ever was, will be, and is. What a delight to eat any of this food, between their incredible shrimp appetizer (only $1.99!), selection of sushis (hamachi was the way to go for me), and ever-wonderful chicken/steak/rice/noodles/veggies. This place is one of the homiest and happiest Japanese restaurants around, and the chef made us a 14-onion volcano. Fuck yes.

Just left the Kissimmee location with my family and had a great meal. Early bird special on the hibachi and sushi worked out great. Opted for the steak and lobster which wasn't part of the happy hour. Tuesday was kids eat free, which was awesome. Our chef was par but we ended up talking to the other couple we shared the grill with anyway. Manager came over after to make sure everything was good. Perfect for families. My kids are 17,6,4 and 1 and all of them were entertained throughout the meal. Overall a great experience.

Truly a dive. Staff is obnoxiously rude and on themselves. The food was okay but insanely overpriced. The inside is interesting due to the traditional Japanese decor, open flames and flying butcher knives. The knife-wielding man expects a standing ovation every-time. My friends and I preferred to sit in a booth away from the Vegas-wannabe knife show. The bill was insane and then they tacked on a gratuity even for to-go orders. Not totally horrible but too much competition that is better to ever go back again.

We enjoy teppanyaki style restaurants. At most of the places we've been to, the cooking performance is better than the food. At Kobe we found the food better than the performance. Our chef was named Toshi, which was special to me since I once had a dog named Toshi. We didn't tell him about Toshi (the dog) since he might have been insulted, but I named the dog after the legendary Japanese actor, Toshiro Mifune. Come to think of it, Toshi (the chef) bore a striking resemblance to Toshi (the actor). He reminded me a little of my late uncle Jun. Anyway, the food was good and the service was excellent (although they were out of the sake I ordered). The cooking performance was not spectacular, but if you never been to this type of restaurant, you will be impressed.

I went here while on vacation. First off I want to say the service was some of the worst I have ever had. The food wasn't much better. The wait was so long for hibachi, that we decided to sit at a table. We had our family, plus a friend who lived in the area, so we split our check. The waitress ran the wrong bill on the wrong card(yes, that happens), but the real problem was the manager who tried to fix it. He said that he voided the wrong charges and that it could take a week for the first charge to go away. I think he said this so that I would forget to check on it. Well it worked. I I hadn't gone on to my account for something else I wouldn't have noticed. 2 weeks later, the charge was still there. I don't usually write bad reviews, but all the things that went wrong, plus the fact that the manager seemed to be trying to pull a fast one made me write this. Mistakes happen, but I worked in the business an I know how easy it is to void a transaction on a credit card. I will not only never again go to this chain of restaurants, but I will tell everyone I know that is planning to go to this area to avoid them like the plague.

I have to say that this was one of my favorite restaurants while vacationing in the Kissimmee area... I had a great time! I'll agree that the normal prices are a bit high but well worth the money. If you are watching your wallet, I highly recommend going between 5:00-6:00 on Sunday-Thursday for their early bird specials. Make sure to arrive just before or at 5:00 to give you enough time to receive the discounted prices. Early bird fares included many of the regular dinner entrees, and ranged from $17.99 and up, with many being priced in the low to mid 20's (I had the steak and scallop combo, which also included grilled noodles, fried rice, fresh grilled vegetables, salad and soup. There was an enormous amount of food... plenty for at least another meal for myself and it cost $26 on the early bird menu). Each personal chef cooks dinner for around 10 people, so the hostess will generally have your party wait for a few minutes until another couple or two comes in to join you (I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes myself). Seating is around a large hibachi-style grill, where the chef comes out and cooks everything in front of you. Our chef's name was Ryu, who was probably the best that we've had in the course of our last five visits. He was friendly, funny and kept us thoroughly entertained throughout our entire visit. This place is great about food allergies. I don't personally have any, but there is always someone at the table who does, and our chefs are always extremely accommodating about it. If you just want to grab some food on the run, this place is not for you. Allow enough time for yourself... our dinner came in courses and lasted almost two hours. I highly recommend this place.... I wish I had one where I live!

No, no, no, no, no! Honestly, it wasnt horrible, but I've had soooo much better. The food was not that flavorful at all, almost bland, but not quite. Also, their prices are pretty high for what you get. I mean, you do get a lot of food (and, I do mean A LOT!) but its so mediocre/bland that who would want to eat that again. I guess they charge a lot of moola b/c they start a fire on the table...but seriously, if I wanted to see a fire, I'd go camping!

Kobe is the central Florida birthday spot. If you come on your birthday you get $15 off your meal. Overall it is very similar to Benihanna. If you do the hibachi, you will definitely not leave hungry. I love their food and the chef is usually pretty fun too. It is a little pricey, but most hibachi places worth eating at are. Their sushi is pretty good too, but the main point of going to Kobe is the hibachi, and if you like hibachi, this is your place in the Orlando area.

I visited this hibachi-style restaurant when I visited Orlando during Spring Break. My boyfriend and I didn't eat anything all day and we were starving, yet as picky as we are, we were craving good old Asian food. We randomly found Kobe as we were walking around and just went in. The hostess greeted me with a friendly smile. Because we didn't make a reservation, we had to wait for 30 minutes (or more). But once we were seated, the waitress quickly took our order and we were ready to go. Our Hibachi chef was very professional and funny. There were many young children in our table, but chef succeeded in winning their hearts as well. Since Orlando is a touristy place, the chef had his unique way of connecting us, although every one of us were very different. Thanks to his help, everyone in the table was able to enjoy our late dinner with delight. My boyfriend ordered the Kobe beef, which is supposed to be really good, and it was. It was juicy, and probably even better than filet mignon. I know Kobe Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar is a big franchising restaurant in Florida. They are usually located in touristy places. So if you are ever going down to Orlando for a little sunshine, stop by Kobe Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar. This will upgrade your happiness level during your vacation :) Oh! Make sure to call in before visiting to make a reservation. Otherwise, you are heading to a at least 30-minutes wait!

Good for a japanise steak house but since it's in tourist central service was slow and over priced. They are so busy no real reason hurry to get you in or seat you. We ended up eating in the bar because the wait was insane..

Excellent all the way around! Service was outstanding... Cook was entertaining and made magnificent food. The only thing that could have made this whole experience better was a more personable adjoining party. They ran the server like crazy. The sushi was excellent as well, and was washed out with a great sake. This place did the Kobe's franchise justice! Nicely Done!

We had a very good time at Kobe. The food was great, the chef was entertaining and since we are from Europe we thought the whole deal was a steal. The children menu was the best our kids have received in the Orlando area, really top quality. My only complaint is the pace at the table. We must have been in and out in about 30minutes. They just do not give you enough time to enjoy the good food they serve and that was quite disappointing to us.

Enjoy.

I love this place! I'm a local and I was so sad I lived here for a year without going here. It's definitely one of my favorite restaurants. It's a big tourist spot so be prepared to sit with travelers at the hibachi when you go. I've had the hibachi, sushi, and drinks and they're all delicious. They have a delicious punch that comes in a bowl and if you get the one for 2 it's lit on fire. Very cool and will certainly do the trick if you are looking to get a buzz on. It's a ton of food I always take some home and enjoy it later. They also have a rewards card. I went during my birth month and they took off like $25 from my meal. That's a substantial reward in my opinion. Fun place for family's and groups of friends!

never eaten a meal where more butter was used to cover up for bad cooking and poor meat.

Reservations are useless here. Be ready to wait at least 45 minutes extra. Hostesses are laughable. Excuse was that they were having a "really busy day". Food is decent.

DISGUSTING!

Overall a great experience.

my family was seated with a bunch of drunks from the bar when i specifically asked not to be seated with people who were drinking!!!! i have a 4 year old who has to sit and hear fu%^ this and fu%& that from this party of 7 who were seated already tipsy at the bar. when we brought the bad service to the waiting assistant he then proceeded to stand and discuss us with the waitress. we felt like it was going to turn for the worst with the drunks so we left, but not before asking for the manager who said he cant help if people drink!, but yes sir you can help seating people who are obviously tipsy who are seated at the bar and who carry there drinks with them to the table and then seat them with a family with a small child, and then your staff continued to bring them drinks even after they had enough, that is irresponsible, if you obviously do not care in your restaurant why should you care when these people dwi on the streets after they leave your establishment. so yes sir you can help it. please do not let this reflect on other kobe locations who of which we have had wonderful experiences.

  • Dan D.

Kobe's, Kobe 's, Kobe's!!!! What a great place, the service was fantastic, the food great and the chef a riot. It is a must if you are in the area

Great food! The have a deal going on, 32.00 dinner for two steak, shrimp and chicken great price! We are used to hibachi style dinning but this place has surpassed them all. We really recommend it, you'll family will enjoy!

  • Great sushi and teppanyaki and the place is beautiful what more can I say? It's also great for a birthday celebration.

I live in the area so this is my usual Kobe spot. I love the food, atmosphere and the workers. Takashima is hilarious and very sweet!
