Healthy Meal suggestions for Cracker Barrel

This was our first visit to a Cracker Barrel and we left understanding the appeal. Outside the dining area was a general store of sorts which had interesting knickknacks. The staff were all very friendly and seemed to have a perpetual smile on their faces. The food was delicious and plentiful, so even though the prices are not the cheapest around, they are quite reasonable. I want to have a Cracker Barrel near me. Honestly, I cannot stop thinking about their greens. Until next time!

BREAKFAST here is so good. The eggs are so fresh and the bacon is always cooked so well. There is always a wait so be prepared for that and the food takes a long time. If you are in a rush, not the best place to go.

Great as always They can pretty much make anything you ask even if it's not on the menu! This is a well staffed and great business giving a good fast sit down meal

I get that most Americans are meat eaters. I was one for all but the last three years of my life. But a breakfast menu without a single dish that doesn't offer meat? Serious not a single one. Even their hashbrowns are made with meat seasonings! No veggies are offered in any breakfast meal either. Our server had no idea what to do for us so we ordered everything a la carte. The portions we got were tiny but our food was hot and timely.

Everything was fine... Except, you know, all the food. What the hell Cracker Barrel, you are not supposed to let me down. I don't have one of you where I live so when I am able to visit one, I want it to be as awesome as I remember. This didn't meet my expectations, it ran over them with a truck and then flushed them down the toilet. The storefront, the restaurant, and the service were fine. Clean and nice and the people were friendly. Nothing bad to say about any of that. It was the food that was absolutely terrible. I can't remember a time when I had a more disappointing breakfast. The eggs were bland and cold - and I know eggs are usually kind of bland, but this was a whole new level. I'm sure they were made fairly fresh, but they tasted like they were made days ago and then reheated. And the bacon was disgusting - no joke, fast food bacon from a place like Carl's Jr. is much better than this bacon. This bacon had an odd flavor and was really tough to eat. Like it kind of hurt to chew on it. The grits were kind of gross, but I think grits are kind of gross anyways so that might be unfair. But if you can't make a decent bacon and eggs breakfast, then what good are you? I will definitely not be coming back here.

I came to this restaurant for breakfast with my family while on a road trip which is really the best time to visit one. It's a great country American traditional homely family style breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner spot. I love how they allow guests to rent books on tape for cheap and then they can be returned to any Cracker Barrel location in any state They serve breakfast all day. I went with a lighter menu option and ordered the yogurt fruit parfait. it was served in a little jar with blueberries, strawberries, granola and almonds. it was really yummy and under 500 calories. the coffee is really yummy and free refills. the service was quick and attentive to refill needs. if you want a nice wholesome country dining experience while on a road trip this place is absolutely perfect.

I frequent many Cracker Barrels. This one is really nice. All the staff was super friendly. They were quick with the food. Thoughtful and considerate to the needs of us in a rush. The store area was clean and not overly cluttered. The bathrooms were clean which is always a plus. The food as usual was delicious and cooked to my specifications. All in all this was a great experience at this location.

Came on a Monday morning and didn't have to wait, surprising because it was busy. Breakfast was quick and delicious. They give your warm syrup with pancakes and French toast. Also have a nice store to buy small gifts and fun things before or after eating. Rocking chairs and giant checkers outside keep it fun if you do have to wait.

Every time we come to Orlando we always make many stops for breakfast here! Love their food!!!! Very homey feel and the service has never failed me. I always recommend this place and I also love the store before you get into the restaurant because of the old school stuff you find in there many memories

Was very excited to get a "rib sticking" dinner while on vacation. My food wasn't terrible being the chicken fried chicken and broccoli with mashed potatoes and salad but my husband had the combo which he said the meatloaf tasted like a stuffed bell pepper, the country ham was inedible, which I tried and agree with and lastly the dumplings tasted like they came from a can. Overall very disappointed, understand why the ones in Colorado, where we are visiting from, have closed.

With 3 different generations in our family getting together for dinner, picking out a place to eat is sometimes a challenge. We've been doing our family dinner at this location once a month and it's great. Good ole' home style family cooking. Breakfast is available at all hours! They do not serve alcoholic beverages and that really helps drive the family feel. You absolutely need to have the raspberry lemonade here. They also serve Stewart's Root Beer and Orange Soda. I'm from upstate NY and Stewart's is a wonder convenient store that I miss, so that's a nice choice here. Customer service is polite and friendly. I love shopping in the store after my meal to kind of, "walk it off" a little. Great location for being on a busy road.

Very good ! Food always hot and extremely nice . A lot of restaurants around here are not so nice maybe because of a Tourist area ?? But this is a good one . Have even gotten take-out .

Great service and food; truly enjoyed the Grandpa's plate and the Momma's French Toast Breakfast plate. Our coffee was too light and the waiter was kind enough to brew it stronger for us. Great way to start a long day at the parks!

Had the chicken and rice. Rice was really good but chicken was bland and sauce was starting to turn to gel by the time it was brought out. Carrots were over cooked and the broccoli tasted like it was steamed for literally ten seconds. We first saw our waitress fifteen minutes after being seated. She brought us water ten minutes later with out offering biscuits (we finally got just biscuits and refills from another waitress who looked like she was about to pass out even though we asked for corn bread as well. She was apparently "just doing my best" accourding to her). It was just an awful experience all together.
