Breezes at Orange Lake Resort Menu

Resist the temptation! A pool-side bar can't be that bad, right? Wrong. The bar is filthy. There is all sorts of 'muck' lining the bar top. The bar itself along with all the menus are extremely sticky; I didn't even want to touch them. There was a live roach on the bar top when I got there, lying on it's back. The bartender just wiped it away like it was nothing. It doesn't look like they've cleaned the bar in years. There are so many health code violations it's not even funny (items in the ice bin, etc.) They don't even wash glassware. They just dunk it in the same bucket filled with sanitizer and then hang the glasses up to dry. God only knows what the kitchen looks like. There are so many options nearby, choose wisely.

To start with, there where flies eveywhere. There was even a dead fly on our table when we where seated. My father's meal had hair in it so he had to order something else, the fish was overcooked. I had the hickory burger which only had a small amount sauce. They also, only gave us a single napkin for a party of 6 and we had to ask multiple times for more. Finally the waiter just started to walk away while we where still taliing to him.

The best place to grab a meal at Orange Lake. The menu was pretty typical of a casual Florida restaurant: Fish Tacos, Burgers, Wraps, etc... What really stood out to me was the atmosphere. Talk about a great place to sit at sunset! The one negative was the service. We must have eaten here 4 times in the 5 days we were at Orange Lake and service was always slow. The restaurant was never overly crowded either, so I never understood the long wait times for food. The servers were very friendly though so it wasn't a deal breaker. I would come back for sure.

Nachos are awesome, the plate is huge and they don't skimp out on the meat. My aunt and cousin both have time shares here, so I visit at least once every February and July, when they respectively come to visit. Sitting out on the patio overlooking the pool, having a beer or cocktail, and choking down on some nachos is always in my bucket list when I am visiting Orange Lake. To me, the nachos are more important than the lazy river! The nachos are a bit pricey, it is the resort mark up, but they were 5 star nachos. I take down one star because of the resort mark up and because I am concerned that nothing else on the menu can live up to my expectations based on the awesomeness of the Nachos!!! Those nachos as sooooo darn good I have to stop writing about them, it makes my stomach growl!!!

Breeze's is the best spot at Orange lake. The staff is beyond friendly -- Greg, KAtie, Rob, Chad, Michelle and Amber are the best bar staff ever. The food is always good and comes out fast and of course the drinks are always cold and delicious. We come here about 2 times a year and the staff never forgets us, they are the reason we keep coming back.

This was our second time here. I would give this three stars as the atmosphere and entertainment are good. It has a beach feel even though it overlooks a pool. Our second trip was just not enjoyable. The wait staff was not very friendly. Not mean but complacent. My wife ordered the all you can eat shrimp but was told that she could order it but that there was no guarantee she would receive more than one serving. The server said she would check with the kitchen and came back with "good news" that she could hold another order so we would receive two servings. Not exactly all you can eat. Better to just take it of the night's menu. There were four of us and the food came out over Friday and Luke warm. Bottom line is don't go for the food but the atmosphere and entertainment.

This place ofers a fun atmosphere with an array of different dishes and ice cold drinks. I tried the chicken and seafood paella and it was G-O-O-D! Cooked with just the right amount of spices. Their pina colada was the best I've ever tasted. It's an enjoyable place for the whole family.

The food was terrible, and flies were flying around everywhere.I had the shrimp and it tasted like it was fresh (out of the microwave). The highlight of the night was the ketchup.I would never recommend it to anyone unless they wanted to be sick.It was the most expensive and worst meal I ate while on vacation in Florida. If I could I wouldn't hesitate to give it a negative 5 stars very disappointing for a Gold Crown Resort.

Breezes is a nice laid back atmosphere type place. They have table service in and outdoor as well. The bar is fully stocked and are now offering Titos vodka specials. They food is not bad and the service is great. The servers are very helpful. No cash!! Credit card or room key if staying on the resort. Live bands on certain nights and karaoke fun on Your Thursday evenings.

Another great poolside place at Orange Lake. There are 3 large pool complexes on the property. This one is in the West Village near the main clubhouse. The experience I have had with food in the past was mediocre at best. Breezes and the River Island Grilling Company have changed my mind. We had the Fried Calamari as our appetizer. The Calamari was extremely fresh and did not taste like rubber bands. YAY!! The chipotle sauce they served with it was very tasty. Hubby got a grilled chicken sandwich with guacamole and veggies on it, which looked very good but I did not try it. This also came with fries. I had the veggie wrap. YUMMY!!!! There were mushrooms, peppers, onions, zucchini and summer squash, sauteed and wrapped with lettuce with a balsamic dipping sauce. This also had fries. We also had sodas. The bill came to $37.48 with tax and tip. I also got a 10% owners discount at both these places. The service again was stellar. I would go back here again.

An okay place to eat at Orange Lake. Service was good. I would give it 3 1/2 stars for the view at sunset which is amazing if you get the right table! We had the blue cheese chips for a starter. They were pretty good except the potato chips were soggy. The balsamic drizzled over the chips and blue cheese sauce was the perfect touch. Dinner for him was pork chops with a sweet potato hash. Loved the hash and the chops were good too. I went with a basic Cesar salad and chicken tortilla soup. Salad was served in a bowl that was way to small. Mention this as they put dressing on side and I couldn't manage to coat salad properly with dressing. It was a standard restaurant Cesar salad. Soup was weak almost to much of a citrus aroma. He had a beer. I had a soda. Bill was roughly $35 before tip. No complaints about prices. Would we go back? Yes, when we stay at Orange Lake as it is one of the better places there but would more then likely eat off the property. Really wish they would improve the restaurants on the property.
