I was heading to Jupiter for a fun filled day, hiking, snorkeling and sunbathing, and of course that all has to start with a phenomenal BREAKFAST! I wanted it hearty, cheap, and fast! I searched Yelp and found Jim's place, yes, right on the way to the beach!! There is one thing that prompted me to write this review, the coloring books! Yes, the coloring books! I sat at the counter, and while waiting for my food, a family came in with a little boy of about 4. The little boy went behind the counter (!) where he seemed to know that there was a secret stash of coloring books and crayons, right at 4 year old level. He quickly grabbed a book and crayons and followed his family to the table. I was so impressed. I LOVE this idea, and apparently so does he!! I am SO TIRED of seeing little kids with Ipads and Cell phones, what happened to good old fashioned drawing and coloring! Kudos to you Jim's Place!! A couple of bucks for crayons and coloring books and I bet you have a lot of happy kids!! Ok, back to the important stuff. I ordered the Beggars Omelet. It truly came in about 4 minutes. It was delicious and the service was phenomenal. Five stars!

Great service & very good coffee. Very good grits. Standard eggs over easy. Standard bacon. All done well. Not exciting or presumptious, just like you'd make at home. Lots of what I presume to be locals, which is always a good thing.

This is really just a greasy spoon style diner. Nothing special. It's not even a good one at that. People seem to rave about the chicken fried steak, because chicken fried steak is delicious in general. The one they provide here is frozen and then fried like any other place. They don't batter their own. Just a mediocre diner with pleasant staff for a quick breakfast.

I used to like this place however will NEVER go back or suggest it to anyone else. We just waited 30+ minutes for a table. I understand it's Sunday and busy but what got to us was watching a 4 top and 9 top who arrived after myself, my husband and our 6 month old get seated before us. Then we were invited in to wait while worker set up table only to watch yet ANOTHER party of 5 be sat before us. The woman inside (I believe by the name of Ginger) responded with "I'm sorry he set the table up wrong - for 5, so you will have the next table that he is currently cleaning. I hate writing negative reviews on small businesses but I'm sorry, this was complete non sense. We left. We watched a table for 5 sit empty the ENTIRE TIME WE WAITED. We could have been in and out. In a city where there are plenty of other small business breakfast establishments, you must try harder to keep your customers.

Excellent breakfast with large portions, cooked exactly as ordered. Great service with follow-up from the server and the manager/owner too. Nothing fancy here, just what I want in the morning; good food with no hassle. The reasonable prices reflect their policy of cash only.

I really want to give this 5 stars but I can not. I have been here twice now and I really can't complain. Only thing I can complain about are the grits. The grits were watery, and bland. Nothing special I wish I got the hashbrowns because they are delicious. I ordered the biscuits and gravy that came topped with scrambled eggs and cheese. The gravy has a perfect thickness, with a nice balance of spicy and savory. The biscuits are buttery and flaky and probably some of the best I have had in a very long time. If I remember correctly my breakfast was numbered 12 but I wish I got 13 because that is everything I ordered just over hash browns. They offer a "garbage" omelet...This name is perfect for what it is but it doesn't taste like garbage. It has ham, bacon, sausage gravy, cheese, onions and hash browns then it is topped with more gravy. I would not plan on eating anything else for most of the day after you eat this gigantic omelet.

Gross. Greasy. I would never go there again if I want to live to an old age. But if you wanna die young go ahead and do it. It's cash only which is really annoying. Completely grossed out on all levels and I live in Jupiter. For the pat 10 years. Ew.

Best breakfast in town! It's a legend in jupiter, 38 years in operation! Family owned and operated! Best grits for 50 miles!

Had breakfast here one time with my boyfriend. It was a decent breakfast. Thank goodness we had cash, because they still do not take credit cards. Get with the times! Second time I went with my mom, brother and sister in law. There were no open tables for 4, but a booth in the corner that sat a larger party. One server asked another if he could sit us there and she said "I guess, but if a big party comes in they will have to move." And we did move, out the front door. Will not be back! Even if they just couldn't sit us there, there is a way to say things and a way not to say things. Bad customer service, no credit cards, and no real wow factor to the food. No reason to eat here.

It's a breakfast place, not much more needs to be said. Good food and good service. Consistency at its finest. The only downside is the seating is a little tight. Our favorite breakfast spot in Jupiter.

I'm an out of Towner so I know my opinion only counts for so much... But we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast! I had a classic egg breakfast sandwich; over easy eggs were perfect, nice runny yoke and fully cooked whites. The bacon was crisp, no fatty globs at the end and of course served on a toasted muffin. My boyfriend had the eggs and hash, his plate was wiped clean with his toast. Great local spot and it also has wifi, so perfect place for a classic breakfast and doing a little work.

If you are looking for breakfast you cannot go wrong with Jim's. I have been going there for 20 years and even though I have lived out of state since 2004 I visit there every year again at least once on my visit for country breakfast #13 on the menu! Their sausage gravy is amazing!

I hesitate to write this because I'm selfish! Don't want to share! This is one of only two restaurants in Jupiter that we will go to for breakfast. The food is great and the service excellent. The atmosphere is casual and "neighborhoodly" :-) Get the everything omelette. I get this every time! The gravy is fantastic! The best we've had. We actually get this for Thanksgiving.

Nice local joint for a quick, simple, 'blue plate' breakfast. Service is quick and FRIENDLY. All the food tastes homemade and fresh. I just enjoyed cheese grits perfection. Highly recommend.

I have never been a pancake type of person. They usually don't taste as good as they look, however at Jim's place their pancakes are out of this world. I see everyone leaving reviews about their other menu items, but no reviews about their pancakes, I'm telling you they are unbelievable, I dk if it's the syrup or the pancakes, or both, but bc of them I don't get pancakes anywhere else. They have basically ruined the pancake experience at any other place.

Pretty good food. It's hard to find good sausage gravy that's really good, but Jim's is damn good. I ordered the #8 and it was delicious. I definitely will be back for breakfast another time. Also, bring cash, they don't accept credit cards.

Great breakfast spot. Friendly service, good portions and prices. Loses one star for the weak coffee though.

We went for breakfast and it was perfect! Cooked to order exactly how we both wanted too which is rare and much appreciated! The country fried steak was amazing. It was jam packed the whole time we were there but worth whatever wait you have.

Cash only! If you are worried about calories don't go. Everything is loaded with gravy. So good. So filling!

I have been here several times for breakfast--very friendly wait staff and good specials. Often a wait for a seat since this is a popular family destination in the morning.

Got to admit I had high hopes after reading some of the reviews and seeing the picture. Some of the better breakfast places I've been to have a rather plain decor like Jim's. However, the breakfast was average at best. Instant grits, Kraft Singles for cheese and weak coffee. All of this for $6-$7. If the ingredients are this inexpensive then the price should be a bit lower as well. I will say, the wait staff was friendly and attentive. They were the stars of Jim's. The place was completely full so he has his fans but I know a breakfast can be better.

Delicious dive. Waitresses never change and still look 18. Sausage gravy over ham and cheese biscuit will keep you full for two days. Just another strip center in FL with just another FANTASTIC selection of heart stopping-ly edible eats.
