I really have an issue with this place. They claim their food is made fresh to order, but I have never received hot and fresh food when ordering and we have been here many times. The last time I made a specific request for hot and fresh french fries. What I received were the worst fries I have ever gotten. They were limp and shriveled...clearly OLD. I returned them and asked if they could make me some fresh ones and in less than 30 seconds the kitchen produced some warm fries that at least weren't shriveled. I've complained to Zaxby's before about these issues, but neither they, nor the manager who has been the same guy for a long time, cares.

Ate here twice during a stay at a hotel within walking distance. Fast service, staff was friendly and food was good. Fastest place to get good wings in my opinion...most places you wait a while for wing orders.

Good food. Nice staff at counter. For a fast food style restaurant I think it is a little above the McDs, KFCs, etc. But, if you want Zax sauce (their one of a kind zippy sauce for fries and wings) you have to pay $.50 more per little square ---- that is a company no-no, in my book. My kids enjoy the fresh chips and the milkshakes are very thick and creamy good. But, not having ice at the drink machine is odd, and a hassle to have to go to the counter, when you need a refill. Restaurant is always clean, and bathrooms are well stocked and clean.

Living in south Florida, we sure do miss eating zaxbys! Best chicken place there is, a step above PDQs if you're from the south! Well seasoned crinkle fries, sweet southern tea, and you can never go wrong with Zax sauce!!:) ah! Definitely a trip worth taking

Favorite place to eat when I visited Florida, it was right next to the airport, great location. Visited for a week and ate here twice! The variety from wings and chicken strips, toast, fries, soooo good! Definitely will eat there every time I visit Jacksonville. They need to open one in California! (P.s. the soda machine and ice is my favorite)

I like Zaxby's!! It's much better than the other fast food restaurant chains...and thus far have kept their religious beliefs out of the news. Their salads are very good, and if you get them with grilled chicken and their low fat dressing they are actually pretty good for you!!!

I don't know about this Zaxbys. The franchise overall seems to get a lot of praise and a lot of my friends pick it up when we are at the DZ all day. I think I need to try it one more time to make a full decision on this place. To me it seems like the McDonalds of chicken places. What I had was very disappointing. Which was the Cajun Club with a side of fries - Blackened chicken, bacon, Ranch, green leaf lettuce, tomato and American cheese on a toasted bun. The bun was this odd yellow color on the underside which i'm assuming was probably butter, but was definitely not toasted right. It just absorbed the butter completely, and the bun was smashed like someone sat on it. The chicken wasn't that impressive either. The fries were so, so. I placed my order online and went to pick it up. Lady at the window told me to pull forward to wait because it wasn't ready. Ok... she brought out my food and didn't bring my drink. I said I needed my drink. The lady had no idea what I ordered and asked me if I had a receipt... well lady check your system it's on there and unless you want to wait for me to pull up my email to show you the receipt. After she stomped off i noticed she also forgot my extra order of zaxbys sauce. When she came back to give me my drink I told her she also didn't have my sauce in here. She threw a little fit and went back in to retrieve it. I'll give it one more try later on at some point, but my hopes won't be up like they were last time.

Took the family for dinner here last week when we let the kids pick the place for dinner. The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly enough. My wife and kids each ordered a chicken sandwich and fries, which came out quickly. I ordered the Roadhouse(which is basically a chicken strip type salad) All in all no complaints, the food was good - a notch about your standard fast food place (one note - the food is salty, they need to use less)

1 step below PDQ if your from Florida, 1 small notch above Raisen Canes if your out West. Tender Juicy, not in the same category (better) of chicken as the stock fast food joints (ie BK, MC Doogle, or wendys). You can tell they didn't spread themselves thin like the rest of the competitors. They focus on chicken and sauces which is smart because they do both well. Now this is no fancy venue, its fast food at its core....but expect tastier chicken, dont' expect funky pieces, and do get the zax sauce. Aint nuthin but a Z thang.

Chicken chicken and more chicken! Strips wings and sandwiches make up the majority of the menu. Counter service only. Drive-through is also available. Booth and table seating inside. Entrees usually include coleslaw and french fries. They have one of those fancy Coke machines here too. Yay Coke!

This was the first zaxbys I've tried. They aren't in the Midwest. Both times I've gotten salads. The first time I got the bleu w spicy chicken and this time I got the Cobb. I enjoy spice so next time I may get Cobb w spicy. Both times the veggies were fresh and the chicken was delicious. The Cobb had tomatoes cucumbers crispy onions cheese lettuce chicken egg and bacon. Pretty solid salad. Next time I may try straight up chicken but I've really enjoyed their salads so no promises.

This location is a little difficult to get too because of the quirkiness of that portion of Airport Center Rd. The staff is always friendly and smiling, they take care of every special request without the rolling of the eyes and all of the other foolery you see at other fast food restaurants.

There's a ton of fast food and chain options near the Jacksonville Airport. However, if you are looking for a chicken tender and fries snack before checking in this is your best option, even for a chain. Zax sauce, shaved ice, awesome sweet tea: you can't beat it - when compared to other fast food spots.
