I had a bad experience with their food through delivery a while back. I was very hungover this past weekend and needed a cure. The only cure was more cowbell, I mean, uh... I needed some warm egg drop soup, rice and Asian food. Rice absorbs the alcohol and water that you drink and the soup helps me feel better. This works everytime! My husband was there as soon as they opened and got me orange chicken with white rice and egg drop soup. I was not expecting it to be delicious since my past experience was bad, but this was an emergency. I was a zombie on the couch. I was not able to keep anything down. I was hugely surprised on how fresh and delicious the orange chicken was. My husband tried it and said it was the best orange chicken he's had! I'm not even kidding! And the egg drop soup was thick and delicious, how it should be. They give you a lot of food so I had it for leftovers at least twice after that. Way to go, Wok n Roll. You got me this time.... Let's see how you do next time I'm in an emergency. The three stars rating is based off of my past experiences and this one, btw.

Was craving some Chinese last night and called in here - got the Pork Friend Rice - it had NO flavor at all - how can fried rice have no flavor at all? Also got the Chicken Lo Mein - it too barely had any flavor and hardly any chicken - the noodles also seemed barely cooked. Egg Rolls were so greasy and the oil the food is cooked in seemed to have an odd flavor - after a mouthful of each we threw it away. Will definitely not go here again.

Crab Rangoon was a little over fried, and veggie fried rice was really bland. All surfaces I touched in the place were greasy. Don't recommend them unless it's an emergency- such as ours... Cliff's bar & grill had closed their kitchen for the evening, and we were staarrrrving. Our waitress said we could bring outside food in, so I set out on a journey... this joint was all I saw in walking distance. Ordered my food, waited around, went back to the bar with my food... had to make a return trip to wok for soy sauce, utensils, and napkins. They keep them in a little drawer unit by the door. Side note, they gave me the weirdest fortune cookie ever... 'you will receive a fortune (cookie).' Not impressive in any way, was this wok n roll experience.

What a let down... Ordered the Shrimp w/lobster sauce and got overcooked shrimp 2 peas and some diced carrots in water, yes water... Will never be back...

Service and delivery are courteous but the food is terrible. Definitely cheap and nasty. Would not recommend.

My family loves Wok & Roll on Monument Dr. We have take out from there at least once a week. It's typical Chinese fare, no different than any of the other fast food Chinese take outs I've ever eaten in. This restaurant has friendly, prompt service and the serving portions are generous.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
