The Food Here is Really Good, Lunch Specials Run from 11am-3pm and the specials selection is very generous. My absolute favorite dish there is the General Tso Chicken with the pork fried rice, amazing dish that puts Panda Express to shame! Staff on the phone are super friendly, and delivery is free for orders over $10! I've never actually been inside the restaurant, but delivery has always been on point!

Ordered online and was told 45-60 minutes. 90 minutes and two phone calls later there was no food and incredibly rude customer service "I'm sorry you had that experience" is what the lady said on the phone. Wait what? YOU are the reason we had that experience! Own up to it and give us a refund instead of taking the money and giving no food! The credit card company WILL be called.... Thanks for nothing!

Worst Chinese food ever. The beef was gross and mushi, the gelatinous, not Chinese chicken fried rice, horrible wontons, we tried everything to give it a chance and it was brutal all the way through. Will never go back. Had the poops for 3 days straight. They have to totally redeem themselves!

It's 5 PM and Wok House is pretty busy. People dining in and ordering to-go. I'm sure they have callers asking for delivery too. The food must be good right? Well, I took home the chicken wings with pork fried rice. The wings were crispy brown, but the taste is just OK. A little ranch dressing seemed to help. Their fried rice is a little on the sticky side. It's only fair to give them another try and order something else since I only ordered the wings. I'm just not sure when it will be.

Terrible, terrible, terrible!! They are literally the worst Chinese food I've ever tasted in my life. Everything were deep fried and disgusting. The fried dumplings were hard as rocks and inedible. We ordered the sweet and sour shrimp and ended up with more deep fried breading than shrimps. It has been six hours since I've eaten there and I still have this sick and nasty feeling in my stomach. If you really want some Chinese fast food, please do yourself a favor and just get some panda express. I thoroughly regret my decision to eat there and will not be returning.

Unfortunately even though several years have pass from previous reviews the quality of food seems to continue to be poor. I think the food might have been nutritious? But it really wasn't edible. It's still in the refrigerator. I feel bad for throwing out food, but don't have a pet to feed it too. I'm thinking it might be a great item for a home version of survivor ... or a Dare in the next Truth or Dare game. On the bright side they offer free delivery.

This place is definitely at the higher end of the Chinese food restaurants. The inside is clean and the set up Is more professional than other places that I have been to. It is also a very busy place. On my first trip I got the chicken teriaki with French fries. The pieces of chicken came on wooden sticks which I thought was a nice touch. The food quality is consistent with what you would expect from Chinese take out.

I've tried this place a few times, I gotta said it's the best in the immediate area. I tend to stick to the sesame chicken, but the General Tao's is pretty good too. Try the pork spare ribs. They overly pack the lunch platters. Most times I have enough for a whole other meal. The place normally isn't too busy, and the delivery has pretty good timing. The longest I've ever had to wait is 45 minutes. If you are looking for a place near UNF campus, this is a good one

I had the teriyaki beef on a stick--five wide thin slices of pretty good meat for about $6 or so. I also had a shrimp egg roll and spring rolls. Typical taste, fine for American Chinese food.

I love this place I have been ordering here for 6 years. I love the rice and everyone is always super nice. I get the same delivery guy and he's ways awesome.

Not much to report with Wok House. It's not like we had really high hopes. Take-out Chinese is never very exciting, even in major foodie cities, so a place like Wok House in the Jax 'burbs is already facing an uphill climb. But every now and then that urge hits. I've fended it off for months now. Then, I caved. We tried Wok House. I'd already lowered my expectations before calling in the order, and lowered them again as the delivery time went beyond the reasonable delay period. The General Tso's chicken combo and chow mei fun were edible. But you know that feeling you get sometimes from Chinese take-out, where you think it's pretty good or OK while you're eating it, then a little later on your stomach feels like you ate a box of rocks and you decide that, no, it wasn't that good after all. Then you decide the leftovers aren't worth reheating. Even your egg roll disappoints the next day (and let's just say you think that, like lasagna, egg rolls are as good or better the second day). That's what take-out from Wok House was like. In contrast, we liked China Garden better. Their food had more flavor, didn't bog down in your belly, and arrived much faster. Try them if you're looking for Chinese take-out in this area. As for Wok House, we can't really recommend them.

Their rice dishes are terrible. If you ask them to make any dish spicy, forget it! They won't make it spicy and I will ask for a container of hot oil to make it spicy.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
