Walked in and the AC must be out!! Went to the restroom and it smelled so bad I had to hold my breath. Ordered Buffalo Shrimp and they were super tiny; think sperm size. My boyfriend order the Nachos and won't shut up about how terrible they were. Good thing we had a gift card and it was FREE! Our server was good and very attentive.

Sticky tables, wobbling tables, fans that don't work, squeaking doors, bad attitude, helpless hostesses, just to name some of the issues I noticed at Wild Wing Cafe. We waited 15m for someone to order just the drinks, and 30m for the wings. This place is indeed not ready for business. All employees looked nervous and stressed out. They were not ready for the crowd that they had during the soccer game USA vs Germany (women) on june 30, 2015. I will not even write about my meal. It is not even worth it.

Stopped in with my son before a full day of running around. Arrived at 11:30, not served until 12:15. When we arrived there was only one other table seated. Although the wait was long, it was worth it. Both the hamburger we ordered and the boneless wings were very good!!! We will be back for more..... Ps. Our server Nicollette was very good!!!

My son and I had lunch here and he ordered the 5-pc chicken tenders with french fries. His dipping sauce of choice was the honey mustard sauce and it came with one. I ordered the 6-pc chicken feathers with onion rings. The onion rings cost extra which I did not mind paying, but they were too greasy. They also charged extra for a honey mustard dipping sauce to-go. C'mon man! The one little sauce wasn't enough for a 5-pc chicken tenders. Greasy onion rings and an extra charge for a sauce to-go are no bueno. One other visit I had, the coleslaw didn't taste fresh. Service was average both times.

Pleasant environment, great Onion Rings, fantastic wings and on top of it service.

The air conditioning was broken, and all I got was 10% of my meal ticket.

Came in for late night wings. First of all the atmosphere was a bit weird. Stood at the podium for an awkward few minutes as we waited to be seated. Finally got seated and you can tell the server was just going through the motions. It just made us feel a little awkward the whole time. The 20 wings we ordered felt like they took forever but when they did come out they were pretty tasty and hot! We also had ordered an appetizer of fried mushrooms. I personally felt that the mushrooms were *meh* but my husband said he liked them so I guess it will be a toss up on whether they were any good or not. Overall I might go back again. The food was tasty and as awkward as our server was, he was nice and did eventually crack a small smile. It's just the atmosphere that's a bit weird, especially for late night eats.

I ate here last night with a friend and could not get over how dirty it was! When u first walk in you can see tons of dust and spider webs and it doesn't smell great at all. The cups, plates & silverware are dirty and old as well. Upon walking in we waited for a few minutes to be greeted and seated. Our server was nice though and the food was pretty good. Good sized chicken wings and I got a brownie sundae. The brownie was huge and super delicious and soft.

The service has gotten better I suspect because of recent reviews. Our waitress was very attentive probably checking every 10 or 20 minutes if anything it was a little too much. I've been here about 3 times each time was always worth it. Their sauces are good and my favorite is probably their Sriracha sauce. I'm in love with it. The most recent visit was at lunch time at it was $10 for all uiuc can eat wings. TEN BUCKS!! What a steal. I ended up eating 18 wings, full and thinking it was totally worth it. Only downside is they only had 4 sauces. The wet ones were the best. Tater tots and soup included. They also have decent happy hour specials and pairs well with the food. I would prefer this over b dubs. Did I also mention musical bingo?

Best wings in Jacksonville. So many great flavors. They even took our order that we didn't like back and changed the flavor for us. My only qualm is the wait. There is typically a pretty long wait between order time and receipt of the food.

Okay I had the Sharatcnos and the where really good. Service at times was a bit slow but was nice. The waitress could smile a bit more. The prices are good. I had said it was good for family dinning but some people came in using bad language and no one said anything to them.

I didn't write a review after my first visit, and came back several months later for the "re-do". Yikes. The first time I ordered boneless wings with a medium sauce, and what I received were hunks of meat that smelled like salted pork and tasted worse. Even the fries were cold and tasted sad. It was gross and, in retrospect, I should not have paid the bill. One of my friends suffering with me wanted to give my rejects to his dog--not sure if the dog lived through it, but it would not surprise me if it didn't. On my return visit, I decided to try the bone-in wings (after all, this is a "wing place" right?). Also a bad choice. The Ranchilada (which they have a trademark on) was a soupy mess that was bland and putrid at the same time (a hard accomplishment to achieve). I would have spent the money on the trademark cost to create something actually worth eating. Both times, service has been okay, but the managers look like roosters in heat. I don't think they actually know that they work in a restaurant, or that customer service skills are required. Both experiences were incredibly disappointing, and I am not sure what happened to the place that everyone used to rave about. This is definitely not that same 'awesome wing joint' anymore. Stay away!

Service gets worse and worse every time we stop by , food is ok but still isn't worth your time ...

Not impressed at all. I've been here multiple times and the quality of the food has definitely gone down. When we walked in the hostess wasn't welcoming at all it felt like an inconvenience when we approached them to be seated. We ordered an appetizer and wings. Our wings came out before our appetizer. When he appetizer was brought out the buffalo chicken dip was spilt all over the chips and the dip was very watery. The wings were just as bad. They weren't hot one bit which we ended up not eating. Doubt we'll return which is sad because I like their wing choices.

I notice the parking lot is empty allot now days, I think this place is struggling to bring in business. I haven't been here in a long time and I forgot why. Now I remember. I ordered the queso and chips it was not impressive at all. I had them sent back way to thick and taste like flour was used in thickening the cheese. After taste was awful. The service is definitely lacking. The hostess that sat us didn't even tell us who are server was placed the menu's down and left without even saying a thing. The entrée was OK Buffalo chicken wrap. Our food was dropped off and the waitress didn't come over to ask how everything was until I was half way done. Service definitely lacks here. Probably won't return.

Myself, Mom, and Sister dined at Wild Wings Cafe for my Sister's birthday since she was craving wings. This is the 3rd time I've been here and the food is alerts consistent. My mom went with the wing bar, which was unkept and looked like a team of football players had come through. However, the food items on the bar tasted fresh. My sister and I both ordered chicken wings/feathers with a salad as the side. My sister likes her wings cooked for 18 min which the kitchen accomidated. The wings came out just the way she wanted them. The blue cheese and honey mustard dressing were very savory and flavorful. Once our order was taken service disappeared and put to the side til our meal was ready. We had to ask our server to bring our salads out before the meal unless she would have brought them then. Service was lacking and should have been better since it was after the lunch rush and only about 6 tables of customers. We had to flag down our server several times. It felt like she purposely stayed away from the table until our food was ready. The server was also wearing yoga pants that were too tight and a shirt that was too small. Upon second look most of the servers were dressed like that. The servers here need to dress more appropriately for work. If I wanted to see that I would go to Hooters. For the consistency in food quality and taste Wild Wing Cafe gets 2 stars.

I really like this place. They are peppered across the Southeast US, this is the only Florida location. I like it for 4 reasons: 1. The largest selection of wing flavors. Not just hot, hotter, hottest, so hot not even baby wipes will help tomorrow. Very unique flavors; fajita, 7 different bbq's, thai, mustard's, garlic's, and on and on. I recommend "The General" a play on General Tso chicken. 2. It's Cheap! $2 beers, on Tuesday it is buy 10 wings, get 10 wings free! 3. The bar tenders greet you with a handshake. That's a classy move so many bars have neglected. 4. Homemade ranch and blue cheese dressings. Not that poured out of a 55 gallon drum stuff, ahem Buffalo Wild Wings.

    (5)
  • Danielle R.

Grilled chicken feathers... Hands down amazing if you want non-fried buffalo chicken. They also have the best blue cheese dressing I have ever had. They make it fresh daily. I'm not generally a fan of blue cheese and ordered it by accident, now I come here specifically for it!

We ordered wings and a burger after 45 min the wing came out only after we inquired on the time. The wings were cold and the server did nothing about it. I see why the place was empty. NEVER AGAIN GROUPON OR NOT!

  • Michelle M.

Boneless wings were a bit dry. Ordered ginger and couldn't taste the sauce nor the Bleu cheese dip. The music was a but loud and to register the loyalty card too way to long as error messages kept coming up that made no sense. Servers are friendly.

I used to go to this place every week for ladies night. The food is not the best but it's a decent bar to hang out at. As an ex-resident of Buffalo I would say that their wings are not great, but not the worst I've had.

I had two Yuenglings on draft with a turkey burger and sweet potato fries. My best friend and I went around midnight to 1am on Friday and enjoyed the atmosphere and the type of crowd. Easily one of the best turkey burgers I've ever had and the prices aren't bad! And thanks to the employee who have me kudos on my Patrick Kane shirt jersey!

Our waitress seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else. After about 15 minutes, I did, too. As soon as my wife placed her order, the waitress turned on her heal and abruptly left. I was literally in the middle of my sentence. I said, "I'd like the..." I looked up to see her walking away. We tracked her down and she took my order but not the other three people our table. Then she brought my food but not my wife's order, which she forgot to put in. We tracked her down again and my wife ordered a second time. Then she brought the wrong food, which was lackluster, BTW. When we finally got the bill it was wrong. When I pointed this out she took the ticket back and twenty minutes later we still did not have a bill. We found the manager (who we had already talked to earlier) and he took a while to fix our bill. The whole experience there was a disaster and nobody put in any effort at all, from the cooks to the "live" band on stage. They were actually miming along with per-recorded music! I was wondering where the second guitar sound and invisible backing vocals were coming from and then the bass player actually switched instruments in the middle of a song but I still heard the bass playing! Then I heard the singer say she couldn't hear the backing tracks. They seem to think their customers won't notice the difference. To sum up...bad food, terrible service, fake band. It shouldn't be this hard to have fun on a Friday night.

Went on a Monday night, awesome drink specials, trivia, wings were meaty and plenty of flavored. Loved ranchilada and lemon pepper!

It was okay... Went to watch the GatorBowl on New Year's Day. It wasn't too crowded. Typical bar food. Wings were eh.. Fries were eh. They had a big projector in the front room displaying the game which my honey loved! This place served it's purpose, but it's nothing to get excited about.

  • Kd F.

Food was terrible, utensils are wrapped up in unsanitary wash rags, my quesadilla was soggy and oily and I ordered some garlic bread and the waitress brought me a toasted piece of wonder bread with melted cheese. Never again

Overall - nothing to special. It does have a small niche. It has a country feel like to the place. Food- Pricey for that category ; dry wings not enough sauce- add extra and they charged me in first place; shouldt asked in first place... 2/5 Service ... 4/5. Attentive on a busy time. But good service Atmosphere 3/5.. Cute looking girls and very country like sports bar atmosphere. i have to come back when its happy hour and to see how consistence their service can be. Overall everyone comes here for the cheap beer. I believe it is better than Hooters. But we shall see next time.

I went to the Wild Wing Cafe on Southside Boulevard in Jacksonville today and I had to leave in the middle of my meal. I tried the lunch buffet but after 45 minutes I still could not get any wings. They took so much time cooking the wings, that when they brought them out, the diners went after whatever wings they could get. So if you didn't jump up to the buffet in time, you couldn't get wings. And it wasn't that there were so many people, but it was because the manager was cooking the wings and couldn't cook them in a timely fashion. In addition, they kept running out of clean plates for the buffet. The service was poor and it appears no one is in charge of the restaurant, which make sense since the manger is cooking wings and not managing. I came back today to give them a second chance. But that's over. I am through with this place.

I was really excited to eat here. I am a fan of wings. The service was decent but the wings were not good... at all. My bill for 10 wings fries and a tea was over $20 for lunch. I will not be back.

If you include a food item in your name, that item should at least be the best thing on your menu. The food was yucky. I'm figuring this place exists solely for the atmosphere, which is also not my style. Was hoping to get some good wings provided the menu had multiple flavors. Tried the sampler, but every flavor tasted the same, "over cooked". The beer was hot, wine was flat, fries were not good. Waitress rolled her eyes and sighed when another party was seated in her section. Had to shoo off gnats as we ate dinner, and each item was delivered to the table separately (including silverware, which we had to ask for twice). Appetizers came without plates.

Wild Wing took the place of Don Pablo's Mexican & they seem to be doing pretty well. It's interesting to have a Hooter's next door. But I have to admit, I'm more apt to go into WWC since I won't be bombarded by girls in too tight tanks with shimmery legs. We've had WW catered a couple of times for lunch & it was pretty good. My husband & I stopped by for date night. I was totally enjoying the two for one margaritas. We split the bang bang shrimp app. I could have had that as a meal. We each got the boneless wings with two different kinds of sauce so we had four different varieties to try. It was a lot of food & next time we'll share an order if we get an app. Great place to stop by after work for a drink. Too bad I still have to drive home.

Love it here, two for Tuesday buy one order of wings get the 2nd for free. And they accept groupons on that night. My wife and I go once a week. The food is always fresh and hot. I do agree the service is slow, but if you like meaty tasteful wings and cold beer this is the place. Better then Hooters which happens to be across the street.

Lunch buffet for $8.95 all you can eat--3 types of wings, tots & 2 soups. Unbeatable price, unbeatable value. This was our first time in this restaurant. It was busy! We ordered Tots and later found out they're on the buffet line so we were able to cancel it. But could the server let us know??? She gets a 1 for that because the manager was the one who removed it from our ticket.

I've gone to this place several times before, and I have to say that I love their wings. The problem is that on weekend nights (not sure if this also applies to some week nights) at about 10pm, they dim the lights and the band begins to play. Ridiculously loud. If you are there to drink and/or watch a show, no prob. If you are there to eat a meal and perhaps be able to speak with your date, or the waiter, without screaming and repeating yourself over and over, consider eating outside on the patio only. I love live music, but not only was it UNBELIEVABLY loud for a restaurant atmosphere, but the band was awful. The check couldn't come soon enough.

Went at 5pm on Saturday, Valentine's Day. Restaurant was not crowded at all. Quickly seated and attended to by our waitress. We ordered 25 wing sampler to share and an order of nachos as an appetizer. All the food showed up at the same time. Not sure why the nachos could not have come before the wings. I have been to this location a few years back and other Wild Wings in Charleston, SC and always been pleased. Today, the wings were dry and overlooked. The flavors were good, the wings were just overdone. I guess that's better than undercooked, but I would expect a place famous for its wings should be able to cook them appropriately so as not to dry them out. Service was adequate but meh. Our server was not very busy, but pretty impersonal.

After a long day of Georgia/Florida activity, we ventured over here for some wings and a TV! After a long day of walking around and dealing with hoards of people, this place was a welcome escape. There were plenty of TVs and one incredibly large one, perfect for watching another game. I ordered the second hottest wings on the menu and they were actually spicy! There's nothing worse than the expectation of a spicy meal, only to find it it's weak! I tried a variety of other BBQ and Asian flavored wings as well, all were tasty and some of the best wings I've tried in a while! We only ordered wings so I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but I wish we had one in Orlando. Way better wings than Buffalo Wild Wings in my opinion. Be careful, the spicy wings ARE hot!

Very mediocre food. The buffalo chk dip is good but most of what is served is underwhelming.

Left after sitting for 10 minutes and not a single server greeted us. The manager also saw us sitting and did nothing. Bad service, bad management. Go somewhere else.

Unimpressed. Food was mediocre at best, and the waitress, despite the cleavage, was not very enthused about working. I had the chicken sliders, which were awful. Their potato salad, however, was very good. If you're looking for real food and atmosphere, go to Kickback's instead.

Went with a group because we heard they had a lunchtime wing buffet. Well it was more like a couple of table pushed together with 2 kinds of wings, fries, tater tots and some soups. I got a few of both kinds of wings, some fries and hamburger soup. Oh man, it was just plain gross. The soup was more like Hamburger Helper mush. The hot wings were cold. I mean like they had been in the fridge before we got there. The garlic wings, I guess that's what they were, were greasy. It also took forever to get napkins and waters. The service was just bad too. I don't think Ill go back here. If they're wings tasted like that, I don't think an ice cold beer could wash them down any better.

The bravehart wings are the hottest things I've ever eaten in my life, and they were awesome! We had a movie to catch and went there with only 40mins to spare, and still got in and out of there in ample time to not only catch the movie, but the previews too lol.

This review is primarily based on the atmosphere and not the food. I've been to a different Wild Wing Cafe before and absolutely loved it. I was excited to come across a WWC on my visit to Jacksonville but after sitting down I wished I wouldn't have gone. The Cowford County Band was performing during my visit as I was more interested in a good meal then listening to a terrible country band. The terrible music aside the noise was so loud it made the trip unbearable. As for the food I recommend splitting the 25 wing sampler platter. This is a great way to test out their large variety of wings sauces. The wings this time weren't as good as the other location I went to. If you plan on going to this location I would go for lunch and avoid the night scene.

WHAT HAPPENED?!? Took the family to WWC today after not visiting for about 6 months. The food quality was squarely positioned between bad and in editable (proven by the fact that with the exception of the kids meal all plates were half full when we left). Details included a dozen wings thoroughly overcooked with no sauce and mostly flats, a burger that was done to brick like consistency and flavored with margarine (if that is possible), and a cold cut wrap similar to what my high school cafeteria served. The chili cheese fries and over breaded onion rings both seemed to be seasoned with nothing but handfuls of white pepper - or perhaps someone just inadvertently spilled an open container of of the seasoning and served the resulting food any way. In short stay away....

I should have just listened to Hunter cuz his reivew was pretty spot on. You're sitting there, trying to decide what to call your restaurant, and you want to make it clear you showcase Wings. You decide on Wild Wing Cafe. Then, you expand a little and decide to open in Jacksonville. And, not only Jacksonville, but a place that has 3 other "Wing" places within wallking distance. Plus, there's 2 other casual dining places right there too and they also have wings. You're basically saying that your wings are the shit, and that the competition is shitty. So I, understanding your message about your kick ass wings, am excited to partake of your offerings and be taking to new levels of chicken extremity ecstasy when I go. Hunter B's opinions aside. Anticipation along with hunger lead us to the Wild Wing Cafe in Tinseltown on Tuesday. We order the 25 piece sampler which allows you 5 different flavors. I think it was like $18.99. Anyway we select our flavors and they bring it out on one of those cheapo, disposable aluminum catering platters. BUBBA'S BBQ Mama's Southern recipe, y'all Poor Bubba...does he know his good name is being slandered by these KETCHUP soaked wings? Seriously. Just go to the Winn-Dixie, and buy their store brand BBQ sauce and that would be a huge improvement. JO JO'S RED DRAGON WING Combine the best of both worlds with this hot teriyaki. Not very spicy. Not very teriyaki. Not very sure what this was meant to be. It was ok. THE SLAYER This Hot Garlic Wing helps Buffy kicksome demon butt! A lot of garlic powder was used in this sauce. A lot. So yes, it was garlicky, and a little spicy. But it was an artificial garlic flavor and not really that satisfying. I liked it the best of the disappointments we got though. THE ISLAND WING A light Jamaican Jerk flavor with a dipping sauce that's spicy, mon. Hmm...These were naked wings. Maybe if I was high with the munchies I'd have enjoyed them. Not that I know what that's like...Anyway, they threw a little All Spice on these naked fried wings and called them Jerk. A really light Jerk. So light you can't even taste it. The dipping sauce was sweet and not at all spicy, mon. THE GOLD RUSH WING Honey BBQ with a kick! After the Slayer, these were second. Not that they were better than Tysons at home. But they were second. They were a little sweet and not really spicy at all. Ok, so not impressed. Again, if you call yourself a Wing cafe and place yourself in the midst of other well known wings joints, you'd better step up. The actual wings (meaning the size) were better than Hooters, but Hooters has Hooters. I still much prefer Sneaker's wings. They are much larger and more flavorful to me. Glabella likes Fast Boy's wings a lot better. In any case, subpar wings. We'll not be back. Even for the Two-fer Tuesdays which gets you 24 wings for the price of 12 ($9.89). It did get packed though by the time 4 pm rolled around. I guess other's are in it for quantity over quality.

I love this place! Waitstaff is great, especially Stevn, Fruits, and Giggles. Decent brunch and two dollar Blue Moons every day, how could you beat that? Very loyal patron here for numerous reasons.

This Southeast-based chain recently opened a location in Jax over at Tinseltown. I hadn't had top-notch wings in quite a while, so we went by Wild Wing Cafe for lunch to check it out. The place is pretty big, with a bar, a few different seating areas, a stage for live music, and lots of flat-screen TVs. We grabbed a booth by the window and I tuned into a little women's pro beach volleyball. (When did the temporary tattoos from sponsors thing start?) Sadly, the only other games on were AFL. Is it almost September yet?!? There are 33 wing flavors to choose from. Our amiable server let me know you could split the flavors of your wing orders in half, so for an 8-wing order, you could get 4 of flavor A and 4 of flavor B. They have 8, 12, 16, 20 and 50. There's also a sampler platter of 25 wings, with 5 pieces x 5 flavors. I wanted to try a few different flavors, but wasn't up for 25, so instead of challenging the kitchen to split a 16 or 20 into 4 flavors, I got two 8 piece orders split down the middle. Our server had never encountered this before, but was intrigued. I was hungry from all the choices and having to do math long before the bill arrived. OK, as for the wings themselves, they weren't the biggest I've seen or the smallest. They're a decent size but to me, if you're going to go all out and name your chain for wings, they should be bigger than the ones you can get in some hole-in-the-wall bar or local pizzeria, or even at Publix, come to think of it. So, wing size = good, not amazing. The flavors I had, with descriptions right from the WWC website: JO JO'S RED DRAGON WING Combine the best of both worlds with this hot teriyaki. ....... My favorite of the bunch. Just the right dose of heat and schweet. This is one of the better terikayi-style wing sauces I've had and I can see myself getting a full order of this flavor on a return trip. THE CHIPOTLE JOLT The biggest, boldest BBQ you've ever tasted! ....... My second favorite, even if their description is a little off. I liked the heat on these, and the chipotle flavor is a nice alternative to buffalo style. Sauce was thick and smoky and spicy. Another contender for a full order. THE GOLD RUSH WING Honey BBQ with a kick! ....... Not the gold, but the bronze in this competition. My third favorite, like the Jo Jo, had a nice balance of sweetness and spiciness. I'll admit honey BBQ wings aren't usually my first choice, but I've had some disappointing buffalo wing experiences in recent years, so I've been trying to branch out. I'd probably get these again, but I'm not craving a full order. THE ISLAND WING A light Jamaican Jerk flavor with a dipping sauce that's spicy, mon. ....... My least favorite. The wing lacked flavor on its own and wasn't up to par with Jamaican Jerk wings I've had elsewhere. I liked the sauce but it shouldn't totally rely on that. Guess I was expecting something different, more like the real thing from Jamaican Jerk Hut (Philly) or Iguana Joe's (Aruba). This style was a distant, disappointing fourth. Bottom line: There are 29 flavors I didn't try, but two of the ones I tried were server recommendations. Three of four styles were quite good, but based on the wings' size and average beer selection, I'm giving Wild Wings Cafe three stars. I'll probably give the place another try when the real football season starts. Recommended.

Food is fine. Stick with the wings or nachos. Build your own chicken sandwich is horrible. Service is hit or miss. If it is not busy food and service is ok. Mostly young girl servers so if you are a pack of boys you will get better service.

I'm a wing fan. Who isn't right? I feel like I have huge hands when I eat those tiny little wings. Am I hungry or am I just on a power trip? Or this just an excuse to put bleu cheese on something? Probably a combination of all of those. Let me get started with this review. Check out my other reviews at jaxfoodcritic.com Location: Right in front of the Tinseltown movie theater located on Southside Blvd. They are in a tight group of rivals. There is a Hooters about 90ft away. Behind Wild Wing Cafe is Seven Bridges and then about a couple blocks the other way is the Mandarin Ale House and Tilted Kilt. So, lots of choices when it comes to wings and other types of bar food. Interior: Wide open! Booths along the edge of the building then a big stage to the right when you walk in. Lots of tables in the open area. Decent sized bar but always seems hard to get to. There is a covered outside area with TV's too. The place is clean. The wait staff is all clad in short shorts and deep v-neck shirts on the ladies to encourage tipping from the young customers. Food: This is my first take out food review. I called in at 11:30pm to get an order to go and bring back to my work. I ordered fried mushrooms (plump button mushrooms in a beer batter served with a special dipping sauce) as an appetizer and 16 wings (Red, Hot & Bleu) with 2 extra sides of Bleu Cheese dressing. First off, the "special dipping sauce" was actually straight up Ranch Dressing. They weren't even trying to fool anyone so why bother label it as anything but Ranch on the menu? Since when is Ranch Dressing considered "special"? The mushrooms themselves were pretty good. The batter flavoring was nice and subtle. Definitely enough for 2-3 people to share. Not a one person sized order. They were hot and fresh tasting, even after driving 15 minutes back to work. Now the wings, they were really good. Very hot and flavorful. The description says the bleu cheese is cooked right in but I can't really tell. It seems like a cajun ranch type sauce, very good though. Not over the top spicy, so don't let the flavor name fool you. The one thing they did wrong: they gave me 2 ranch dressings while charging me for a total of 3 bleu cheese. You know how disappointing it is to get home and find out your order is wrong. If I was dining in, it would have been an easy fix. But I'm not driving back 15 minutes each way over some bleu cheese. The only critique of the wings is that they were a bit on the salty side. Very, very, very minor. Overall Rating 1-10: 8.5 Very solid food besides the wrong dressings. Cost: No drink on this order but it was 21.27 for an appetizer and wings Would I eat here again: Of course. They are one of the better and constant wing places around. The really cool thing is that during lunch time on the weekdays, they have an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFALO WING buffet! How cool is that? I think it is just under 10 bucks and you get wings, tater tots and soup. Not many places have something like that.

Love the wings and onion rings. Lots of tvs if you like to watch sports. Wait staff has always been great.

This place was really nothing special. My food seemed like it had been sitting for a bit before it was brought out. Most of the staff are pretty nice.

Atmosphere good. They do have live music nights. But, overall the food is not good and is completely overpriced. BW's wings are SOOOOO much better!!! I wish it was still a Don Pablo's!!!

Stopped in for the "All You Can Eat" wing lunch buffet. Not impressed. The wings looked like leftovers, not sauced at all, just the remnants from original preparation. The buffet consisted of one table and 6 varieties of leftover wings and a sad tray of lonely tater tots along with some horrid looking soups including a cheeseburger soup that looked like hamburger helper. The best part about the buffet is that they had no plates! And forget about asking one of the none to pleasant waitresses to get some, they will simply respond stating that they have tables to worry about. This joint would be better off 86'ing the sad excuse for a buffet. I don't see myself returning to try the menu as it is standard blah. One and Done.

This place has gone downhill since it first opened. Now the atmosphere feels trashy... which is reflected by the waitstaff and the people who hang out there. It seems like they have started cutting costs to save money, which reflects in their quality. They took away their drink menu (our waitress told us they "used" to have one), so you would think the waitress would know what was on tap.... nope. And then she never heard of an old fashioned? Granted not many people drink them anymore but seriously, that is a classic drink! Oh, and they also randomly switch their drinks to plastic cups which is fine... but it goes from being served in a pint glass to about an eight-ounce glass -- for the same price! We did speak to the manager about it and he was able to give us the right sized glass. The band was terrible -- apparently they think the louder they play, the better. I like listening to live music, but its irritating when you can't even hold a conversation at the table (i.e. like at other venues like Mellow Mushroom). The food was okay. Either way, the food isn't enough to make me want to come back to this place. Which is sad because it could have a lot of potential if the managers start focusing on quality.

I have been here a few times and in the evenings it can get pretty crowded with a younger crowd. The patio area is nice and the food is pretty good. I've tried quite a few of flavors of wings and the have enjoyed some of the hotter ones (not doing the Braveheart though). Service can be a bit slow and I actually found a bottle top in the bottom of my draft beer when I was out with friends once-they did buy me a free beer, so that was nice. I do like it better than Hooters and Wing House in terms of food.

We went here as a quick stop on our NYE restaurant tours. We ordered an appetizer, the Hot Shots, which were the right degree of spicy but didn't have much other flavor. Not worth the calories of fried cheese and sausage. We also got a bucket of beer, 6 bottles for around $10, not a bad deal. We might go back to try wings.

Our next target was Wild Wing Cafe located at 4555 south side blvd. The first thought is that this place is not what normally comes to your mind when it comes to burgers, but a few people recommended to us to try them. Let's get right to the meat of things. As you probably figured out from my reviews I'm the one in the group that always looks for that wow factor in burgers. When the waitress arrived with my order I was like, wow, look at that thing. If this is not a wow factor. Got my burger with egg on it, topped with some sloppy joe sauce. Not to forget the huge onion ring on top. As you can see from the picture it was a sight to see. I think I had a smile on my face attacking this behemoth of a burger. Well, now to the sad part and why the score is not sky high for them. The taste was blahhhh. Nothing really tasted good. The burger was kinda no taste, no taste at all. Same with the sloppy joe topping . Somehow everything tasted like, how should I say. No spices at all. Very blend and boring. It's a shame because look at that thing, it great looking. Just to add another disappointment were their fries, not sure what they thought off. But just cutting up some potatoes and throwing them into the deep fryer and calling them french fries does not work at times. In this case it didn't. Same as the total experience the fries didn't taste like anything special. So sad, such a good looking burger. The search continues ........... See all our reviews on Burgergeeks.blogspot.com

For Fathers Day I bought a Groupon for my Son-in-Law to be used at Wild Wing Cafe Jacksonville,Fl. He choose to use it this past Saturday,10/26/2013 to take his Grandfather, and other out of town family, while the women held a baby shower for my Daughter. Molly, their server would not accept the Groupon. My Son-in-Law called me and I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager, Dana, who assured me that she would take care of it. She didn't. She left. Then I spoke to another manager,Dan, who informed me that the Groupon had no confirmation number on it so they wouldn't accept it bottom line, end of story, too bad for you, contact Groupon.Well It was printed out how it was emailed to me. My Son-in-Law had even pulled up my Groupon account on his phone to prove the validity of the Groupon and still it was declined. He was very embarrassed. I am furious. The Groupon was valid,it should have been honored, and Groupon informed me that a simple call was all that Wild Wing would have had to make to rectify the situation.I guess you have so many customers that you can pick and choose as you deem acceptable to dine at your establishment. You might like to know that the man that you embarrassed is a disabled American Veteran who was injured for your right to refuse to honor a paltry $40.00 Groupon. Anyone and everyone I can tell I will-I hope it was worth it.

Luckily I ate here with a groupon deal. The service was friendly, but extremely busy for a night with no major sporting event. The food was just your generic dime a dozen hot wing bar stuff. Nothing really stood out.

For a place that advertises "Best Wings south of Buffalo", those wings had better deliver... and they did! Not the best I've ever had (I have been to Buffalo) but they are definitely the best in Jax. Lots of flavors, lots of rubs, but I decided on the standard Buffalo Wings- and they were perfect. Fried up just right, sauce was spicy, plentiful, and lots of meat to go with it. Nicely done! Service was great- our waitress was AWESOME. Really loved the fact they had Sam Adams on tap- along with a LOT of other beers. Also had an extensive drink menu that you could choose from, ranging from fruity girly drinks, to fun little shots that taste way too good that will get you way too drunk. Other food items looked pretty tasty as well- saw a lot of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and fried items coming out of the kitchen that looked great. I was very satisfied with my wings and beer, however, and I will probably get those again next time I stop in. Not sure about the other reviews that said they have live music... I went at about 8pm on a Saturday, and the TV's were tuned to different college football games and other sporting events. Not sure I'd want to sit and eat with a band playing, but I guess if that's what will draw people.... Otherwise, I highly recommend this place for some great wings and cold drinks.

I liked their wings but I wish they had a breaded variety along with the naked ones. I liked the Bubba's and the Carolina coppers the best We got the 3 way appetizer with fried pickles, cheese sticks, and pretzels - they were all good. I also had a pineapple martini which was well done. One big plus we walked in (4 of us) on a Fri. night with no wait. The food was a bit slow coming. Overall a pretty good place to go. Fast boys pit road wings are still the best I've had

Terrible Food. If I wanted processed food I could spend a lot less and go to McDonalds. In fact if I wanted a sports bar type feel I would rather go across the way to Hooters. Hooters food, while bad for you, tastes good. Wild Wings café does not! ordered the wings which were terrible and I also ordered a sandwich that was unsatisfactory as well. It took over an hour to get the food in the first place so I figured it would atleast be good when I got it but not so much. Terrible quality. Not sure who thinks this is good but I would rather go to McDonalds. The bathrooms were Terribly dirty which is always a bad sign! Wish I had seen them before I ate there...YUCK! The server we had was not friendly at all and was not only rude, but slow. By slow I mean took him forever to get us drinks, our food was cold when we got it so he probably didn't see it in the window right away, and never got a refill. Do NOT eat here. Under any circumstances. was there for Four hours for what should have been at the most an hour meal and again this was simply because our server was slow or ignoring our table. They weren't that busy.

Its a wing place. Avoid the lunch buffet or lunch in general if you are a fan of decent service. Only 4 types of wings on buffet so its not exactly a wide variety. Food was decent but service would be better if they put a drink machine in the dining room.

Oh, Wild Wings... I -so- wanted to like you. My first encounter with Wild Wings was in Athens, GA, and I really enjoyed the place (since closed.) Admittedly, I was there with quite a large group of friends I hadn't fully met yet, but the experience was enough to keep me going back, so I was pleased to learn that Wild Wings had opened in Jacksonville in the old Don Pablo's location at Tinseltown. I especially like the two-fer Tuesdays, where you can purchase either the 8- piece or 12-piece, and it gets doubled for free. Since you can split flavors (described in other reviews), this is a reasonable way to try several flavors and not be limited to just 4 wing portions of a particular flavor. I really like (rather... liked) the Boss wings, described on the menu as "crisp and hot"; I think they are grilled and then fried, dark in color, and full of flavor. Or, they used to be. The past several times I ordered the Boss wing, it came out looking and tasting pretty much like a naked chicken wing. No particular flavor. I pointed this out to my server, who said that "sometimes they don't get very dark" and blamed it on the inconsistencies of different cooks. For better or worse, one thing I've come to expect in a chain restaurant is consistency, and I haven't found that lately at Wild Wings. I'm also disappointed in the time it takes to get an order out, be it food, or drink. I had to wait 20 minutes for my second beer to come out, and had to remind the server twice that I'd asked for a glass of water, as well. The servers are mostly female, mostly college-age, and undoubtedly hired, at least in part, for the eye-candy factor. That's nice, but I still want my order to be delivered correctly. I also get a bit miffed that I had to pay extra for "extra dressing" when I ordered another round of wings. Apparerently, it's one 1-oz cup of bleu cheese per patron, no matter how many wings are ordered. I've had more negative reinforcement over the past several visits than positive, so for now, sadly, Wild Wings Cafe is no longer eligible to extract the cash from my pocket.

Wild Wing Cafe is located in the Tinseltown area off of Southside, and is really your standard wing place sports bar. On the plus side, it is really large, pretty nicely decorated, and clean enough that you can tell its a chain place. Its the kind of place you are almost guaranteed not to have a bad experience. They have 33 flavors of wings and a handy little color coded system for the amount of heat in any given flavor. I haven't found it to be exactly accurate, but its close. The wings are actually pretty good here, good enough that I haven't tried anything else on the menu--they have a standard selection of sandwiches, burgers and salads as well. One of the things that sets Wild Wing apart is that they have bands most nights of the week, and the place can turn into a pretty rocking spot. Look for the action to happen a little earlier than in some hipper parts of town as most of the clientele are nine to fivers from the surrounding neighborhoods, but I have seen it get a little, um, wild. This is a great place to grab some tasty bar food and listen to some live music. Maybe after you've seen a movie at Tinseltown, or after some shopping at the Town Center. Or maybe just for Wild Wings all on its own. This is a fun time.

The food was awful, place was way to loud for the amount of people that in there and the sound seemed to bounce all over the place. The waitress was as dumb as a box of rocks and never around. I had a Sloppy Joe and soup and my buddy had a salad. He said his salad was good but figured how can you mess up lettuce. Mine tasted awful, the meat in the Sloppy Joe was supposed to be Angus Beef and tasted like it had freezer burn. The soup tasted like it was poured from a can and microwaved. The fries were the best part, they were good. If you like fries and salad, go here. But you will have to put up with the loud distorted music and looking for your wait staff.

restaurant environment: comparable to an applebees or chills, nothing remarkable. staff: friendly and attentive food: Coming from a life long dick's wings fan, the quality of the food is really good. There are many flavors and temperatures of wings. The sides are ample and delicious. value: good value for the price would I return? yep

I wouldn't eat here for free. No attention to detail in preparation of food. Orders are consistently inconsistent, restaurant is dirty. I had a salad that took forever to come out -- parts of it had dressings different from what I ordered on it, some ingredients were missing altogether -- looked like a plate of leftovers. Wild Wing Cafe probably seems pretty good if you're drunk or about to be drunk.

Unimpressed. Food was mediocre at best, and the waitress, despite the cleavage, was not very enthused about working. I had the chicken sliders, which were awful. Their potato salad, however, was very good. If you're looking for real food and atmosphere, go to Kickback's instead.

Stay away!

Grilled chicken feathers... Hands down amazing if you want non-fried buffalo chicken. They also have the best blue cheese dressing I have ever had. They make it fresh daily. I'm not generally a fan of blue cheese and ordered it by accident, now I come here specifically for it!

Sub par at best. I've been three times. The food is mediocre and the service is hit or miss.

We ordered wings and a burger after 45 min the wing came out only after we inquired on the time. The wings were cold and the server did nothing about it. I see why the place was empty. NEVER AGAIN GROUPON OR NOT!

I do like it better than Hooters and Wing House in terms of food.

restaurant environment: comparable to an applebees or chills, nothing remarkable. staff: friendly and attentive food: Coming from a life long dick's wings fan, the quality of the food is really good.

Boneless wings were a bit dry. Ordered ginger and couldn't taste the sauce nor the Bleu cheese dip. The music was a but loud and to register the loyalty card too way to long as error messages kept coming up that made no sense. Servers are friendly.

Stay away!

Atmosphere good. They do have live music nights. But, overall the food is not good and is completely overpriced. BW's wings are SOOOOO much better!!! I wish it was still a Don Pablo's!!!

Sub par at best. I've been three times. The food is mediocre and the service is hit or miss.
