High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

I enjoy Whataburger, I find myself at one every couple of years. This visit I strayed from the burger and went with the HONEY BBQ CHICKEN STRIP SANDWICH, based solely on the giant sign in the middle of the menu. Ughhhhhh, after the first bite there was BBQ sauce everywhere and the chicken strip were over cooked, over cooked to the point that the the chicken coating reminded me of eating a corn nut. The service was top-notch, friendly and quick. The restaurant was spotless, just a bad menu choice nothing more.

Had resisted trying afraid combination of too close and good would contribute to some unnecessary cheese burger craves. Double cheese plain fries and rings were all top notch. Burger was dense meaty juicy - a solid 4/5. fresh shoestrings to top the sandwich and onion rings nice balance of some greasy salty oniony was great compliment. Ate here once and now I notice these places everywhere - damn!

I was in the area at about 11am and needed to go to the Early Learning Coalition center for a LiveScan at 330pm, so to kill some time I stopped by here to eat. There were a lot of people working and everyone was very friendly. My order was taken very quickly and I sat down in no time. There was only one other person there eating and left a few minutes after I did, leaving the whole restaurant to myself :) I got chicken tenders with honey bbq sauce, french fries with ketchup, and a sweet tea (as always). Everything was hot and delicious! Very impressed by the cleanliness, because even I know it can be that empty and there will be dirty tables and trash on the floor, yucky D:

Came here after a concert with the parents to order some late night meals and snacks. This location is open 24/7 and their dining room area was very clean. No sticky spots or wet areas to slip on. Their cashier was very friendly and very accommodating to any food requests(ex: grilled cheese hamburger, and grilled cheese chicken sandwhich) the food was pretty tasty too and the fries were crispy. They did loose one star because the grilled chicken sandwhich had a weird taste to it, like the kind you get when the grill isn't cleaned super well. Like it was cooked after the burgers and got pieces of burnt burger on it. I'm sure I'll be back. :-)

Plain awful! I don't know how this place has so many stars! It is not possible that that many people has stomach of steel to stand this food. On top of cheap cheap burgers, you leave this place smelling like grease all over. Imagine McDonald's but 20,000 times worse.

I was hungry, and Whattaburger is just fun to say so why not? I didn't get anything fancy, but I got a Whattaburger and it was scrumptious. I got lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and mustard on it. It was too much of one thing, and to less of another. Perfect portion honestly. It filled me up. I got a large onion ring and they were pretty good. Could've been a tad crunchier. Overall, it was good and decently priced. I got two burgers and the onion rings for $10. Didn't break our budget but we were full and happy!

You're average fast food burger. Fortunately, this location (and it's dining area) are open 24/7, which lends a hand to late night munchies, because that's the only time I'd eat this stuff. The burger is a notch better than McDonald's, but not by a ton. Still, the location was spotless and the servers were friendly, even at 1am. Quick turnaround on food and the fries were hot, a huge plus.

After a night of imbibing with good friends, I needed some food in my belly. With limited late night options in the big city, Whataburger was the first to come to mind since I knew we would (or could make ourselves) pass one on the way home. My husband had mentioned they had a new bacon avocado burger. I was sold: two of my top five favorite ingredients. I got the combo meal with onion rings. Maybe I was slightly tipsy, but those were the best drive thru o-rings I've had in a long time. They were fresh & hot. And the ever so slightest bit greasy like they just came out of the fryer. I regretted my order: I should have splurged on the large. And for the main star - the burger. Unfortunately, unlike it's partnering side, the sandwich had possibly spent some time under the warmer. It wasn't as hot as I would have liked. The flavor was good, and everything was there, it just missed the mark in my books. I don't crave late night snacks as much as I did when I worked overnights, but when I do, Whataburger is always the first to come to mind.

My favorite fast food burger place. Unfortunately, I live in South Florida and only get to have food from here on my way up North. The burger with cheese and everything on it paired up with their hot and crispy fries are my all time favorite. The chicken sandwich is really good as well. Don't forget to have their spicy ketchup. I even wrote an e-mail to corporate a few years back telling them just how much I loved their burgers and food in general. I am totally envious of all the folks that live really close to a Whataburger restaurant. Its probably a good thing though, since it allows me to really savor and enjoy the food.

Whataburger is my fast-food of choice; been eating them since I was a young'un. They make your burger as you order it (I guess most places do, now... that wasn't the case in the '60s and '70s), and it's not a problem to add or subtract items. Other places advertise "have it your way", but often you'll get an eye-roll when you try. Not Whataburger. Most are open 24 hours, and there's a breakfast menu available from 11p to (I think) 11a. Long ago, I used to live on breakfast burritos at 3am. Now? Single hold the lettuce, extra mustard, grilled onions and a jalapeno, please.

The only other WAB I've seen was in San Antonio TX, and we don't' have these at home (NC)(this is not the same WAB as the What-A-Burger's in Concord & Kannapolis NC!), so I just assumed they were only in that part of the country. We were in Jacksonville for the Mayo Clinic (don't tell them I ate here!), so on this particular day I wanted something FAST to eat since I'd been without food for one & a half days due to various testing & such. We decided to eat in and I was surprised with the number of menu options - MUCH more than expected for a relatively small place (doesn't look like much of anything from the outside). They pride themselves on the fact that you can "customize" your burger (or chicken sandwich) any way you please. This is nice since as you know, most anywhere else you'll get "a face" (and of course, your order screwed up) when you start requesting no this, add that, etc... I went with the 3-pc chicken finger meal and my partner ordered a Whataburger meal. I also ordered a Whataburger Jr. to augment my chicken & just to give the burger a shot (I typically don't eat red meat though). Those chicken fingers were fan-freakin-tastic!! Dare I say restaurant quality? Done perfectly and the breading/batter was SO tasty. Was NOT expecting that AT ALL. I tried their honey bbq, honey mustard, AND their "famous" warm cream gravy dipping sauces. The HM was good, pass on the bbq, but that warm cream gravy...OMG...that was "G double O D good!!" Looks like any average white gravy, but it tastes 100x better. You're charged 45 or 50 cents per extra sauce, but it's worth it since they give them to you in these little 'tubs' - it's not like those typical little dipping sauce containers; you get much more. I found the burger to be a bit of a salt lick so I couldn't eat my junior WAB, but my partner liked his "reg" a lot. I think I'm just becoming more sensitive to salt/sodium content these days. If it weren't for that, I would have liked it. A junior burger is, I would say, about avg size everywhere else, so the name is somewhat misleading. A reg burger is LARGE; a good bit larger than other fast food places. Oh, one more thing - their meals come with a med drink. Again, a WAB medium is like everyone else's large. I got a large & could have swam in it. If you're familiar with Jack in the Box, it's on par with their drink sizes - much larger than average. I almost forgot to mention one important thing - IT WAS VERY CLEAN INSIDE (as was the mens room). Not often you see a fast food establishment staffed with very young employees that seem to take pride in their jobs. I saw them willingly and continuously gathering trash & cleaning up both behind the counter and out in the restaurant area. I found that to be rather commendable. Major kudos to the staff & mgmt of WAB (at least THIS location anyway). It's probably a good thing Charlotte doesn't have a WAB, or I'd be living off their chicken tenders & warm cream gravy...at least for a few weeks until the novelty wore off! One thing's for sure though - when I go back for my next Mayo visit next month, WAB will be filling my belly at least once! :)
