This is a cool real deal sports bar. Lots of Tvs everywhere you look and two huge brand new big screens! i also checked out a music calendar which had a few local names I knew and a few traveling musicians that sounded familiar that i WILL be looking up when I get home. The waitress was really nice and made sure I had everything i needed.

Their buffalo sauce is actually hot and they put the large lunch/dinner salads in a big bowl and not overflowing on a plate. Hardworking staff, friendly atmosphere, great bar food and a ton of tv's for game day.

Food is beyond average which is my way of being nice. Have had the wings and nachos multiple times over the past year and a half and it is just not good food at all. Lacks flavor and can tell no real preparation put forth into serving a quality meal. Really bummed about this place being so average because it's so close to my home and this location has such great potential. Next time I go there will only be to grab a drink.

Long day and was ready for a cold beer and some good wings. This was the place to go !!! The sevice was great everyone was so friendly . Definitely the place to go after a long day to unwind . Mudville now hosts a music room in the back room where bands and musicians preform so besides the great food if your in the mood for some good Live music definitely try this place out

Mudville Music Room Jacksonville's best kept musical secret - the back half of Mudville is a music/listening room with regular concerts. A mix of folk, Americana, jazz, blues, bluegrass, and most often songwriters. Concerts are usually $10-20 (occasionally free or for donation). Last time we were there wine was $4.50 (yeah!). Listening to folk music with sweet potato fries is a special kind of happy everyone should get to feel. The majority of the food is passable - the wraps or nachos are our choice for a full meal but we consider sweet potato fries mandatory. The other half of Mudville Grille is classic sports bar. They are separate entrances, but you can get from one to the other inside.

My boss loves this place in St. Nicholas, but I only go when she takes the whole office there for Christmas lunch. It's not terrible. The food reminds me of the cafeteria lunches served in elementary school. They atmosphere makes me feel rundown and dated. I hate feeling ungenerous about a business because the servers are nice enough but with other restaurants to choose from, this would not be on my list to go to. Ever.

Calm environment with good service and food. Good range of drinks. The pulled pork quesadilla I ordered was excellent. It was served with a side of chips and salsa. I was disappointed that I only received six chips. Don't get me wrong, the quesadilla was very filled up and scrumptious, though I feel other customers might not feel that compensates for the scarce serving of chips.

Wow, my husband and I had heard good things about this place and finally stopped in for a sandwich today. The service was outstanding and we had our food in no time. My husband had the Philly cheesesteak and I had the french dip. Both were delicious. We will definitely be back. Maybe next time for a game of pool and some wings.

The Mudville Grille is what every sports bar should be. I used to go here all of the time when I wanted to catch a game. The Mudville Grille has a good menu with your standard bar food. The service was usually pretty friendly. It's basically no frills and honest. You go to watch a game and you want to split some wings with someone. You don't have to order two orders of wings, you can order a large order if you want. The get a side of fries or onion rings. These guys have it right. The chicken philly sandwich is also excellent.. A sanwich made right with cuts of chicken breast with sauteed onions and peppers on a sub roll topped with melted provolone cheese. It has been a long time since I've been here and it may be different now, but this is an ode to how I remember it...as awesome. You can pretty much get any game you're looking for as its one of the few places that carries an MLB package. There are no places like this where I live now. I've only now realized this as I'm looking for a sports bar in the Boston area where you can order 50 wings and a pitcher at a fair price when you go out with a group of friends. I've put up with the winter, but this is bullshit.

almost 20 years in Jax and this is the first time I've been here, it's a nice old sports bar, food (burgers, fries, fried mushrooms) was great. By no means is it new or updated, but very friendly service and a place I'll come back to when in the mood for this type of junk food

While I don't exactly spend a lot time watching sports [except for football--GO NOLES!! ... And JAGS! ] sometimes you're just in the mood for some simple food and a nice fun atmosphere, or maybe even a trivia night [if you're feeling really nuts.] Mudville serves pretty standard bar and grill fare. The Philly Cheesesteak [$7.99] and the Flounder Fillet Sandwich [$8.99] are my usual picks, and they're both tasty. The wings are good, but the Buffalo Chicken Tenders are better. They do karaoke on Friday nights, so keep that in mind, whether you prefer to avoid or indulge. Mudville is also family friendly and a true neighborhood place. If this is your kind of place you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. Also, if you are a Steelers fan [apparently there are a LOT of you in Jax... oddly], be sure to ask about their Steelers ROOM. It does not disappoint.
