I can't remember if I've reviewed the Loop before. I've been to 4 different locations around Jacksonville now, and this is easily the worst, despite the location. The location itself is aces - directly on the water with a great view. It is deceptively large on the inside - when you walk in, it looks like there are only a few tables, but there is a sizable dining room in the back. However, there is disgusting mold growing all over the place in the ceiling. As someone that had a serious mold problem in my apartment once, I take it pretty seriously. As soon as it was pointed out to me, it was impossible to ignore. It blows my mind that nobody had fumigated it yet and I certainly won't go back until it is. Can't really review the service at a fast casual restaurant, but they somehow screwed that up too. This isn't a dig at the 'servers' themselves as they were super nice and helpful, but our large order was very screwed up and the buzzers were not linked to the correct order (some weren't linked to an order at all). Can't review drinks as I didn't have any, but they have a few Bold City beers available on tap. Food wise, it was rather lukewarm. My plain chicken sandwich didn't come plain, and my chips were stone cold. It is a bummer because I normally like the Loop. It blows my mind that there are people giving it 5 stars, but it is normally solid food for the price. Not so in this case.

I love this place . It's my Friday night hangout with my daughter and niece who are both 9 . We love coming here because it's never crowded the food is really good and it comes out fast . I think a lot of people under rate the loop when in actuality they really to have good food all around . The pizza has a good crust and I love their specialty pizzas . They also have some pretty good salads and hamburgers . It's a nice place to come with a group for a quick tasty bite to eat .

I have to go to the Loop in Avondale on Tuesday for lunch. I enjoy my food everytime. It's always fresh, delicious and the service is always great! If you haven't been to this location you need to visit soon! Sonya R

I won a gift card for the loop and went with my husband. We ordered a pizza and salad and I was less than impressed with their pizza. The sauce was a little sweeter than I prefer and the crust was overdone. The waitress was super friendly but the restaurant had many dirty tables that had not been cleaned off yet.

Let me start off by saying this place is underrated for its food. They have so many items on there menu that are so good from the pizza to the burgers. They have really good onion rings maybe the best I've ever had. The pizzas are always good and so are there salads. I know this is a chain restaurant and I think that's why it doesn't always get the credit it probably should.

Love this place!! They have the best food and their chocolate shakes are yummy. I like their cheeseburgers, French fries, and pizza. I have been going here for years and every time I come, ordering a chocolate shake is a must. Plus friendly staff and quick service is nice. ;)

I've always loved the Loop, and have eaten there for years...it was even my first job! So it's really sad to me to see that the quality of food, as well as staff, has deteriorated so badly at the Avondale location. Horrible experience food wise, customer service wise, just all around bad. I'll be taking all my future business to the Baymeadows and Town Center locations...where they actually have good food & excellent service! And just a hint to the employees...probably not a good idea to bash the customers where they can hear you.

If you've lived in Jacksonville for any decent amount of time, and have moderate dining tastes, you surely have heard of or been to The Loop. My review isn't so much about the restaurant - it's good, the service is good, the location is great, and it's fairly priced - this review is about The Spinach Salad. Go to The Loop and order this salad. Ask them to add tomatoes and black olives. Then sit down and enjoy the tastiest salad you will ever have. I had it for the first time last weekend, and I've ordered it as take out three times this week. It's so good. The ingredients are fresh every time and the red wine vinaigrette is to die for. You have to try it!

I have a soft spot in my heart for The Loop. I have been eating here all my life. My dad fell in love with this place long ago and we've been dining here as regulars ever since. And when I moved to Tallahassee for college, I dined at the Loop in Tally, as well. I even went on my second date with my now husband at the Loop. We ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup. I was so nervous that I actually stopped chewing my food. He mistook my weirdness for punk rock-ness and claims to have fallen in love with me then. [Apparently being too lazy to chew is punk.] Ha. This particular location is special to me for the many many nights I spent here with my Young Life group in high school. We were each given free French Fries and Sodas. It was a fun time and a great place to hang. Also, this location has a superb view of the river [or some offshoot of the river]. There is a wrap around deck that literally hangs over the water. You can watch the turtles and the fish play in the water while you munch on some tasty pizza or burgers. And, although some of these reviewers would beg to differ, I have never had a bad dining experience at the Loop. I think the food is quality and flavorful. My favorite eats are the Walnut Gorgonzola Salad [dressing on the side... so many tasty toppings you barely even need the dressing]. I also love the Pizza, with its thick crust and bubbling cheese. They also have a nice variety of toppings available, and some fun specialty pizzas. The Loop n' Blue Burger is tasty, with blue cheese toppings. And the Fries are big, hot wedges of potato and always crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Best dipped in their Light Ranch Dressing. This is a casual joint, but a great local favorite. I highly recommend it.

Seriously, when the steak fries is the best you can do, you know your menu is boring. Boring burgers! Boring chicken strips! Boring chicken sandwich! Boring salads! The staff doesn't have any personal stake in the food, and you can watch them pulling things out of freezers. It's glorified fast food. Their 'gourmet' pizzas remind me of the flatbreads you can order at Crisper's. Probably your best bet regardless. I only go here mainly because my lunch crew is enamored with 'double punch tuesdays,' on a punch card that eventually gives you a free - no, a discounted meal.

This place has the best burgers in Jackosnville. They cook to temperature expertly and the burgers are always well seasoned and juicy. The portion sizes on the salads have recently diminished by about 50% making them a poor value, and this is disappointing because their salads are quite good. Both of the vegetarian sandwiches are also a poor value as they are sparsely topped. The pizzas are good, but the old pan style pizza crust was much better than the traditional crust they have now. Watch the ice coming out of the soda machine...you get a cup full no matter what! Also note that the maintenance of the restrooms and the cleanliness of the outside table can be awful.

Another place I can walk to from where I live. My significant other (who grew up here in the JAX) told me the burgers were amazing here, but I (being from Texas where beef is king) wasn't going to be convinced until I had one. Then, I had one... and I was more than convinced. Quite possibly the best burger I've ever eaten. - I've tried the Mushroom Swiss and it's also great, but my favorite is the Bacon Cheddar with Applewood Smoked Bacon. Tremendous. - Only recommendation I have is to order your burger Medium Well or even Well Done if you do not like pink in your burger. I love mine with some pink so I don't mind, but my room mate ordered hers medium and it was too raw for her liking. - But I'm telling you, this place has amazing burgers!! So amazing I haven't tried anything else. I hear they have great pizzas... lol.. but I wouldn't know. ;-) - The patio is great. You can watch fish jump and the sunset... it's really awesome.

When the wilted, out-all-day sample pizza looks better than the one you get when you order, you know it's not gourmet. Still, this was pretty good. I had the artichoke and roasted red pepper personal pizza, which also had way more cheese than I expected, tomato slices and the tiniest bit of dried basil in the very center. Not bad, but for $8.99 (I think), I expected a high quality, much more flavorful dish. My interviewer had a fried cajun-style fish sandwich with a side of steamed veggies, which he seemed to enjoy. The atmosphere here, for lack of a better comparison, reminded me of a Souper Salad. Not exactly inviting. There is a view of a nearby creek, but it's not dazzling. Perhaps it was because of the rain, but we were only one of three tables at around 6 on a weeknight.

I LOVE the Loop. I've eaten at several, and I wouldn't say this one is the best, but it's definitely good. Their burgers are really tasty, and a love the steak fries! Sometimes they have a creamy French onion soup which I love.
