There are a few dishes I strongly recommend and some that I don't recommend. The fried greed tomatoes are always a must. I like them because of the goat cheese topping and sauce. It also has a good amount of breading. The burgers are very good. I enjoyed the blues burger, because it had the perfect amount of blue cheese (not overpowering). It is also very filling. I shared half of a burger and appetizer with a friend. It was a lot! I was not the biggest fan of the fish tacos. They were okay, but they were not outstanding. For the sauces: the curry mayo is very interesting. I would recommend it if you like curry. The dessert is too sweet for my taste. I could not handle the milkshake nor the bread pudding in a cast iron skillet (special).

This is a really awesome local spot! Heather was our waitress and she was absolutely awesome! Super nice and helpful, attentive and put up with our indecisive table! I had the Holick burger with mac and cheese on the side. I ordered it medium, but it came out more on the medium rare side which was the only complaint I had about the burger. It's an extremely messy and delicious burger. It had pork belly, arugula, tomato, over easy egg and lemon aioli on it. The mac and cheese was really good with the panko breadcrumbs on top that added a nice salty crunch. I tried some of my sisters french fries which are handcut and those were very good along with the garlic aioli she got on the side to dip them in. For dessert I had the s'mores milkshake, which tasted more like peanut butter than a s'more, but it was still really good and came with a marshmellow and brownie on top and spiked with moonshine! They have a really awesome happy hour for beer, which is what I was drinking. All of their beers on their draft menu were $3.00. Great selection to choose from ranging from lagers to pale ales to IPAs to stouts. I will definitely be coming back here when in the area again!

Best bourbon list I have seen outside of Louisville. Highly recommended for just that. The food came out all at once, for a party of 6, which is a rare feat these days. Happy hour specials on beer, wine, and well liquor until 7 are a plus. I ordered fried green tomatoes for an app, and the Southern Burger for my entree, including pimento cheese and a fried green tomato. The breading on the tomato was crispy and delicious, adding a nice texture. The burger came out just right temp-wise. Service was adequate for a 4-5 star rating, multiple refills on water when needed, information and attentiveness above average. I'm not a fan of the TVs playing various sports. It doesn't jive with the ambience. Highly recommended location. Good beer, amazing liquor options, food was delicious.

We came when it was still The Blind Fig. The Gorgonzola chips, burgers, lobster mac and cheese, and bartender were all big hits. The shrimp and grits (at the time) were disappointing due to portion vs price point.

This place serves FOOD, not health food, so if the thought of eating real food, turns your stomach or you have a weak heart, be warned...DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER!!! This was one of our many trips to JAX. My SO, myself and her girlfriend were in town for a weekend of fun. The night before, Friday, we were out late and we didn't get back to our room and to bed until around 4 a.m. We were up by 9 a.m. and promptly ordered breakfast to our room. Fell back to sleep for a few hours, woke up, started drinking again and spent the afternoon at the pool. Around 4 p.m. we all realized we were STARVING. It didn't help the pool was right outside Ruth's Chris, which wouldn't be open for hours. I suggested we go tear into some juicy burgers and some whiskey. So we end up at the Blind Rabbit. This was my 3rd time here and I previously came here with a couple of friends and had drinks and dinner at the bar. The place was always busy, so on this trip I made reservations. We arrived a few minutes before our reserved time were promptly seated. I ordered a High West Double Rye. highwest.com/spirits/dou… . My SO took a sip, which is dangerous, because Jack Daniels tends to turn her into a Jackass, but a fun one...most of the time. She commented..."That's some potent shit!! I'm going to stick to my double shot of house vodka"....puke!! Well, even though I value her opinion, my High West was potent, but very good. Way better than any rot gut house vodka. Her GF had a Blackberry Lemonade, which my SO and I got to sample. They both loved it, I stuck with my whiskey. theblindrabbitwhiskeybar… For an App, we started with the Cast-Iron-Mac and Cheese. We were so hungry, we completely DEVOURED this dish is short order. Please reference the for mentioned day of drinking and not eating. It was good and cheesy. We all commented we were hoping it would have been baked and have a layer of slightly burnt/crisp cheese on top. Even though it did not, we would all get this again. theblindrabbitwhiskeybar… For dinner, my SO had the Blues Burger, with fries her GF had the Helick Burger with asparagus and carrots...she's kind of health nut and I had the only burger I've ever had here...the Whiskey Burger with tobacco onions. Are you catching on? I like whiskey. Her GF thoroughly enjoyed her burger. We had to take her word for it, because neither of us got to sample it. My SO took a few bites of her Blues Burger and commented "wow this really has a shit ton of blue cheese on it". My burger was perfect as it has always been. I got two bites and offered my SO a bite...I never got my burger back and quickly noticed her burger on my plate!! It was okay, because it brought happiness to her and that meant we would all be happy... :) I have to agree, her burger, well now my burger, had more blue cheese than necessary. If you really like blue cheese, then order this burger, if you only kinda of like blue cheese, say like in a dressing for dipping celery in at your favorite wing bar, then I would say to stay away from this burger. All I can say is try this place...great food and atmosphere!!!!!

Great burgers. Delicious, well executed, generous portion of fries. Good drinks. Good salads. I always find it noteworthy when chef chooses not to put salt & pepper on the tables. Kind of like they're saying "F#%€ you... my food comes out of my kitchen properly seasoned already". I agree. It is. Blind Rabbit is a good value for what you get - generous portions of deliciously seasoned, properly cooked food. One of our new favorites in Jacksonvills.

Went here for a tasting dinner with foodie adventures, so got to try an assortment of things (6 course! ) the restaurant itself is very hip and modern, cool place to come chill. Now the food!: Fried green tomatoes - fried with crispy crust had a peach habanero sauce on plate sprinkled with goat cheese and corn tomato relish... Delicious, great dish, love the combo sweet, spicy, salty, crunchy Pork and fries-their take on fish and chips but with pork belly... No just not my thing... To me a piece of pork fat that was battered and fried.... I just can't do it... Fries were however house cut and good Shrimp and grits - goat cheese grits, plump shrimp, with a sweet/spicy cream sauce, with peppers and sausage..... Great flavors!! The shrimp were cooked perfectly... Loved this dish Mr. Miyagi Slider - (they are known for their burgers and this did not disappoint!! ) I had never tried a burger here, but hear they are so good!! Kimchi ketchup, pickled Asian veggies... Sooo good! It all just worked together... The patty tasted really good too.... I'll definitely come try a burger Duck empanadas - nice fried pocket of yummy, duck, mushrooms, onions, sage, scallions, served with a horseradish crema... Plated beautiful... Good flavor liked the horseradish sauce particular Cereal killer milkshake - tasted just like the sweet milk left over from your bowl of cereal.. Yum Great night and got great feel of what to come back to get more of!

Went for the brunch this Sunday. Excellent bacon infused whiskey Bloody Mary to start - jalapeño adds a bit of morning zing. Had deviled eggs as.a starter which were a bit too mustardy. For the main course had pork belly and easy over eggs on grits which was very well done - the pork belly is well worth a try. My wife had the chicken and waffles which she really liked - the waffles had a great sweet potato cream cheese dallop on them - quite good. Try the carafe of bubbly and St. Germaine - quite refreshing. Service was a bit slow but very entertaining.

Whiskey Burger is great! And everyone enjoyed their lunch. From the fried chicken salad to the fish and chips. Great choice, we will be back again.

I have been twice to this location and both times I've had a great experience. The food and service have been top notch, and the atmosphere has been very conducive to a group gathering to enjoy food and have fun. I have had the Smokehouse Rib Eye Steak with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted grape tomatoes, crispy tobacco onions, and blackberry hot sauce; and the Southern Burger. Everything has been flavorful and absolutely delicious. This eatery needs to be on your "MUST" list.

Few places do rye whiskey drinks correctly, but these guys do. Seems like evening on the menu is interesting and tasty.

First time in - was not impressed with the extremely slow service. Walked in with a fairly large crowd, but less then 5 minutes later most of the bar had left. Football game was over and some guy started this weird karaoke/guitar set? I would have walked out as well if members of my party hadn't already placed drink orders. Almost 20 minutes later and the only people that had their drinks are those that had ordered beers??? As soon as everyone downed their drinks we were out. (Friday Night) Went back for their Taco Tuesday's. I ordered the rum old fashion as I looked through the menu. My eyes kept going back to the southern pork taco. The other two people in my party decided on tacos as well and we all agree - they are freaking delicious! Another Friday is Riverside and I've already decided the theme will be Burgers and Bourbon. Planned on strolling through the area, so I knew I needed to get some food in my stomach before we started are bar crawl. Of course this was our first stop and I had to get some Knob Creek in my system after our party ordered maybe 2 of each burger and the unicorn in the group ordered wings. When we see our server bring over our food our mouths started to water. We ended up cutting things in halves and quarters and creating our own little buffet of sorts. Every single burger was cooked to perfection. Beautifully seasoned and juicy. But I don't f*ck with those chips. Somehow every time I get them, I feel like I have some leftover strange mix up batch. I bit into a chip and it's regular, then a chip is awesome, then one taste like sour cream, and then another tastes like salt and vinegar? And truthfully this place makes we want to be a carnivore. The burgers are like a meal and desert. The chips are just pretty decorations for the main attraction. Whiskey Smoked Burger and Classic Cheeseburger - my two favorites. Long review from a person that has given up meat but is craving a burger.

Okay okay. This place has reviews to make you think they've got the cure. However The Blind Rabbit lacks in a few areas. I'll go through my experience step by step and you decide. I meet up with a couple of people and we belly-up to the bar before the party arrives for dinner. We are greeted by a pretentious bartender who scolded at the fact I ordered a well whiskey at a whiskey bar. It really bothered me that he would have an attitude about that. Not only that but he also screwed messed up my friends order or "double makers on the rocks." Somehow the drink ended up with cola in it? The party arrives and we are seated. We have one server who is attentive and competent.. Well so we thought. After first ordering a round of waters (took ten minutes to arrive) and then a round of drinks (another ten minutes) we ordered dinner. My friends ordered the fish tacos, a variety of burgers and I ordered the pork belly and oyster sandwich. The burgers were great and the tacos were merely ok (hey it's a burger place). The oysters on my sandwich were super breaded and salty and the pork belly was kind of dry honestly. Overall I was kind of disappointed for a $14 sandwich. At the end of the day I will say this. My friend has a friend that works at the Blind Rabbit at the beaches. His friend even said the service sucks, especially the one in Riverside. Now when your own employees think you suck, that's bad! So here's the skinny, if you want a good burger and are okay with having a two hour dinner (due to slow service) come dine here. There are plenty of other places in Jax for a burger. However if you're confined to Riverside and have no way out and are craving a burger, check it out.

The Blind Rabbit is one of those "perfect" go-to spots since they have great drinks, great food, and a lot of variety (so you can either get the same thing every time, or switch it up and still be interested). The environment is the perfect excitement level: not too rowdy, but still feel like you can be comfortable and relaxed. Make a reservation if you'll be going at a busy time (Thursday/Friday/Saturday). Drinks: The blackberry lemonade was delicious with fresh blackberries. Huge whiskey menu and lot of different fun options. Food: Get their fried green tomatoes appetizer!!! They are perfectly crispy and even convinced my friend who is firmly a meat lover. Their gorgonzola chips and mac and cheese hit the spot, but did not blow me out of the world. Definitely come for a burger. I know I will be back for the environment. There's something here for everyone!

My first visit to The Blind Rabbit was for my birthday last year, with the sole goal being to drink ALL the whiskey, a spirit I had never tried. Of course, when I realized how expensive whiskey actually was, I dialed that goal back to "drink an adorable four-whiskey sampler." Since I didn't even know if I was going to like whiskey, I asked the server to recommend some "tier 3" (read: cheap!) whiskeys. I ended up enjoying two out of four of my samples, and the rest of the table enjoyed the other two, so that's probably a win! Someday when I have lots of dollars to spend I will venture into tiers 2 and 1. Someday. My second visit was for a book club Sunday brunch. The service was pretty spotty for what seemed like a fairly slow time, and we feared a couple of times that we had been forgotten for orders and then for getting our actual food. Luckily we had book discussion and arguments to distract us, and when our food eventually came out the wait was totally worth it. I had the croquette madame, which turned out to be a bunch of different breakfast foods all thrown in a pile and was very strange but also delicious. My husband went classic with a barbecue bacon burger, which he says was quite tasty and which came with very delicious fries, some of which I may have stolen. This place is just up the street from us, so we will definitely be back in the future (without a large group!) to try even more delicious foodstuffs and, someday, those whiskeys.

Pretty good, I had the fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and the brownie dessert. The grits were cooked perfect and the shrimp were big. The peach habenero sauce was great. The brownie was terrible.... Very dry and almost no ice cream on it. My friend had the cuban and it wasn't very good either.

Where to start. Burger was rare: I order WELL done. Peach Habanero Hot Sauce was recommended: it ruined my burger. I picked apart the bun and ended up not eating it at all. Red pepper ketchup was not as good as regular ketchup, and I love ketchup. On the plus side. I enjoyed the tobacco onions. Boyfriend thought it was ok.

4 stars - only because our service was lousy...but the food was unique and delicious! After reading some really great reviews about this place online, I knew we had to give it a try. The one thing I was dying to try was the Gorgonzola Chips...and they did not disappoint! However, I would recommend sharing with others, because it's a quite a large portion, 4 people would be great to share. They are very rich and tasty, and go well with a mixed drink or beer! Their cocktail menu was very unique and worth the price. I ordered the blueberry lemonade cocktail, which came served in a ball jar glass. I mentioned to the waiter I wasn't a fan of the mint and they kindly did light on the mint. And my husband ordered the Old Fashioned, and he was happy with it, and also to note it was chilled with a large ball of ice (very cool). We ordered a burger, which was tasty, however, after reading about all different sauces on the menu, like 'spicy ketchup and 'bourbon spiked creole mustard', we were saddened the waiter forgot the sauces were requested...but again the service just wasn't that great. And many times our waiter was no where in sight to help us. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was very trendy edgy vibe and the large bar area with many bar stools with beautifully framed mirror really gave it a laid back feeling. I'd love to go back again and try something different. Also I thought it was cool they also serve milkshakes...such as the maple bacon milkshake...until next time.

If a rabbit were to have an upscale warren, it would look like the interior of this restaurant. Earth tones and sheer gold drapes together with deep warm woods and exposed dark red rafters make for a cozy dining room. A rustic barrel serves as an occasional table and bright, fresh flowers in mason jars enlivened the space. The ambiance was my favorite part of the Blind Rabbit. We were one of three couples there so I was surprised that the service was not more attentive. It wasn't bad, we just seemed like afterthoughts once our food was delivered. Also, during happy hour I'm accustomed to the servers welcoming you with a little blurb letting you know what happy hour means in their neck of the woods. She seemed surprised and a bit taken aback that I asked. Look, I'm no Rockefeller so my pockets are kind of shallow, if I can save a couple of bucks, that makes my meal taste that much better. Anyhow, the petite poutine didn't look petite but I'm not complaining. It was my first experience with the whole gravy, cheese curds on fries thing and I liked it. I hadn't eaten all day, so my enthusiasm may be tainted by hunger. The gravy was warm and flavorful poured over natural cut French fries. Loved the whole crispy meets savory gravy moment. My husband's burger looked great, the buns were buttered and grilled too. I had the chowder soup bowl. It was pleasantly chunky and the ingredients weren't mushy as if they were overcooked. It was a bit on the salty side as was the poutine but it was still good. The couple behind me were enjoying the heck out of the Gorgonzola chips. Such moaning over potatoes!! Next time, I'll order a burger and the fried green tomatoes. Maybe that will knock my socks off. In the meantime, 3 stars for service and food. It was good but saltier than I'm used to. I tend to think someone is overcompensating when a dish is salty (kind of like men who drive Hummers, huge trucks or oversized SUV's to their white collar office jobs). Despite the inattentive service, I'd go back and try different menu items. Perhaps next time we will be the couple groaning in the booth saying "It's just. So. Gooooooood."

This is a gorgeous restaurant with creative libations and very tasty food. I started with their Front Porch Iced Tea which was a tasty, refreshing concoction of top shelf whiskey, moonshine, sweet tea, lemon bitters & freshly muddled raspberry cocktail over ice to wet the appetite. This drink was fantastic! Next up, the Poutine. I loved this appetizer. It was made with hand-cut fries, pork belly, tasso ham, cheese curds, and gravy. Perfectly seasoned and not too salty. So far, the best poutine I've had on the east coast. I will come back just for this. A must try before you die: The Whiskey Burger. To me, a perfectly cooked medium rare beef burger is almost impossible to get right in most restaurants. This place got it right the first time. Juicy and flavorful, nice bun to beef ratio, simple toppings that did not detract from the actual burger. Generous portion and cooked to perfection. I would order this again. Surprisingly delightful: The Chicken Thigh Farmer Salad - a wonderful garden of fresh greens served with egg, celery, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, white cheddar cheese, red onion, garlic croutons and black peppercorn dressing. So much going on here, but delicious! Their rich, marinated, lightly fried chicken thigh served atop the salad put this dish in a league of its own. Loved it. Overall, the service was outstanding! They have a wonderful staff that was genuinely helpful and super friendly. The staff made great recommendations on the dishes offered and I look forward to many more visits to taste the entire menu. 5 STAR FLAVOR!

After a few visits to the Beaches location, and a few after just opening up, I headed back to the Blind Rabbit for a girls night out dinner, and it's where I found my Blind Rabbit burger redemption. I hesitated writing my review before... there were a few dishes that just didn't seem up to snuff, but after a bit of time, and my perseverance, I'm so happy I've found my jam. We started with the Gorgonzola chips, and they were amazing as usual, and a friend ordered the poutine (and it was a pleasant surprise!) This time, the fries were crispy, there was a nice amount of cheesy curds and the gravy was perfect. I ordered the Southern Burger.... and let me tell you, this is where it's at! A perfect medium rare, with spicy! pimento cheese (a super generous and tasty slather of it) house-made pickles and a pickled okra, fried green tomato and arugula. Damn. This was the perfect flavor comb: the spicy hotness from the cheese, the tangy from the FGT, a little sweet from the pickles, and the buttery pepper flavor from the arugula.... OUTSTANDING. Our server was on top of it (and got a few good laughs from our ahem, girly convos.) It's going to be really hard to order anything besides this burger for me... unless....... man it would be killer to see a bison option here!

Went in to eat lunch as I was nearby and it ranked high on Yelp. The only reason there are no five stars is because of the parking situation. There is very little nearby that isn't already used. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. I had the BBQ burger and it was delicious. I opted for the mac and cheese as a side and it was okay, nothing to write home about. My friend had the fries which were a much better option. Will I be back? For sure if I am back in the area.

*stands up* "Hello, my name is Jo El, and I am a Blind Rabbit addict." I admit it, I ate at Blind Rabbit THREE times last week. I KNOW, I KNOW! But it's that good!!!! Besides having a "Happy Hour" that lasts nearly all day ($2.50 Drafts from 12-7!), They have the GREATEST and most innovative burgers in town! With the winning combination of brisket, short rib, and ground chuck for their patties, how is a red-blooded American (who isn't a vegetarian) supposed to resist??? I have had 3 Burgers off their menu now: *Southern Burger: The moan-worthy delicious "Southern Burger" comes topped with a Fried Green Tomato, Creole Pimento Cheese, Peach Habanero Hot Sauce, Arugula, Georgia Cane Syrup, and Pickled Okra on an Artisan Bun. *Whiskey Burger; Smoked Onions & Mushrooms, Smoked Gouda, Five Pepper Jelly, Artisan Bun. The mushrooms REALLY make the burger. These little "flavor sponges" really soak up the smoky, savory juices and add another dimension of "Oh my GOSH this is so delicious!" *BBQ Bacon Burger - Applewood Bacon, Provolone Cheese, Sweet BBQ Sauce, Crispy Tobacco Onions, Bourbon Spiked Creole Mustard, Brioche Bun. The Southern Burger continues to be my favorite. The crunchy and tangy fried green tomato on top of an ultra juicy burger is a perfect marriage of flavors and textures. Move over Ketchup and Mustard, we're too good for you now. The fun continues by choosing numerous sauces to try with their french fries! Having graduated from the elementary blasé Ketchup, Blind Rabbit dazzles with the sauce choices of; Curry Mayo, Spicy Ketchup, Creole Mayo, Honey Mustard, Bourbon Spiked Creole Mustard, Tartar Sauce, Peach Habanero Hot Sauce, and Bourbon BBQ Sauce. The incredible Bourbon BBQ Sauce is my PERSONAL favorite!!! It's a MUST TRY! I have also greatly enjoyed the Fried Green Tomato appetizer at the Beaches Location (see other review for details.) My favorite place to sit at the Blind Rabbit is at one of the tables built on a raised platform alongside the windows. I like the elevated VIP feeling, the window watching, and the intimacy of the two-person tables. A enormous Shaun Thurston masterpiece is painted along the outside wall. Viewers are powerless to withstand taking a photo shoot in front of this amazing backdrop! I love you Blind Rabbit. If Peewee Herman himself asked, "If you love it so much, why don't you marry it?" I probably would! Now to go back and try that Blues Burger!

The burger is easily one of the best in town, we tend to eat there a couple times a month. The fries are also good, if you can get them served hot. They have a bad habit of serving cold food too often. But overall, very good.

After eating at the Blind Rabbit at Jax Beach many times and loving it, I stumbled across a Blind Rabbit in Riverside Saturday night! It was wonderful! I had the fried green tomatoes, They were fantastic! I had the fried chicken too. It was yummy. I am normally not a big fried food eater, but I am glad I tried these delicacies! They had some of the local canned beers for just three dollars. I also got to try the spicy margarita! Watermelon puree and daytil peppers as a garnish. It was ten dollars and served in a mason jar. It was tasty. The staff was wonderful just as they always are at the beach....now....which one will I go to next!?

Let me just start by saying this. I miss the old Blind Fig menu. Changing the name to the Blind Rabbit to match the Beaches location also meant matching the menu and that menu a lot of the really great items are no longer served anymore, including the desserts. A group of us went in on a Tuesday night and found it to be kinda dead to our surprise. No matter, that meant more attention would be on our group. Sweet. We all get settled towards the back of the restaurant and pine over the menu, comparing what's still on it and what got the axe. I got the Front Porch Iced Tea, which contains a bourbon whiskey and moonshine. I never had either let alone together so I though caution to the wind and took a swallow. SOOO GOOD! The sweet tea, raspberries, and lemon bitters made for a good drink to have on a humid summer night. A friend highly recommended the Gorgonzola chips. I've had Gorgonzola before, but all I could think of were cartoons where characters had close pins on their noses when around it, like Limburger cheese so that made me think it was pungent. It's actually not and tastes very similar to blue cheese which I like. The cheese fondue with the balsamic glaze over a mound of housemade chips was the perfect appetizer. I finally settled on the Southern Burger as it sounded the most interesting. Pickled Okra, Fried Green Tomato, Creole Pimento Cheese, Peach Habanero Hot Sauce and Georgia Cane Syrup? Bring it on! The burger was awesome but the side of Tobacco Onions left little to be desired. It was ok but it was a big pile of fried onion pieces for one person to finish. I shared some Cast Iron Mac N Cheese with a friend and both thought it was good, not as amazing as our server made it out to be, just good. I think the five cheese sauce must've sunk to the bottom. I passed on dessert as milkshakes, ice cream, and brownies didn't appeal to me. I may be back to have the Shrimp and Grits again (one item from the original menu that was kept) but I do hope that they consider bringing back some favorites.

The blind rabbit is great and a HUGE upgrade from the blind or salty or whatever fig. To start, both the ambiance and the service are great. At 9:30 on a Tuesday night the bartenders were still very upbeat, friendly and helpful and there was still a decent crowd which is a good sign. The drink I had---blackberry mule or something or other--delicious. The burger. Omg the burger. The southern burger. Asked for medium rare and it could not have been more perfectly cooked. The fried green tomato on top was amazing. The garlic smashed potatoes on the side were equally as amazing. Hands down best burger I've had in a while. This is my new go to--very stylish but still welcoming and affordable. Two thumbs up!

I am sure we'll be going back to the Blink Rabbit pretty soon. Recently went with wife and two friends and had a great time at this establishment. I am originally from Vancouver, and often crave a poutine fix. Well, the Blind Rabbit delivered. It's not a traditional poutine, but probably one of the tastiest I've tried outside of Vancouver. I also really enjoyed their fried green tomatoes, a dish that is quite foreign to me until I relocated down to Jacksonville. For entree, I ordered the Whiskey Smoked Burger and it was pretty darn delicious. Wife had the Holick Burger and it was awesome. The restaurant looked very nice, our service was superb, and the food delicious. So we'll probably be back soon, the next time I crave a good poutine or a gourmet burger.

Upon sitting down at our booth at the Riverside location, our waitress promptly took our drink orders. These came to our table in a reasonable amount of time. Our waitress, Ashley, was very friendly and accommodating. The catch of the night was swordfish and I ordered the swordfish tacos. To my dismay, the two tacos ($12) had very little meat on then (see picture). One of the pieces was under-cooked. I addressed this with the waitress and she expressed that this was, of course, not normal. The floor manager came over and explained that the fish is weighed in 6 oz. servings. He quickly walked away before I had the chance to say anything. I was concerned that this indeed was not a 6 oz. serving, but I didn't argue. The waitress agreed with me and offered to take the tacos off of our bill, and she apologized several times. I will greatly hesitate to return due to poor customer service from the management.

Maybe when we came it was a bad night but the service here is pretty horrible! The spiked milkshakes are amazing but the service ruined it for me. It took our waitress 20 minutes to come serve us then 30 to get our appetizers and drinks. I will most likely give this place a second chance because I loved my milkshake but probably not anytime soon.

I am loving this spot now that they have changed names/menus. The food is delish, the service is attentive, and the cocktails are refreshing. I have tried the fried chicken salad-it's a winner. The chowder is filling and a great start to a meal. Also, if you get fries with your burger or sandwich, you get a TON. It gets crowded on the weekends for dinner. Luckily they notify you by text if you are waiting, so you can head down the street to window shop or get a drink at a local bar while you wait. I was kinda ho-hum about this place when they were the Blind Fig, but whatever they have done since the change to the Blind Rabbit is working well! It's one of my preferred dinner options on the weekends and a great place to get a decent drink. It's definitely worth a visit with a date or with friends. You're sure to have a good time and enjoy your eats in the process. Five stars.

We stopped in to try the Southern Burger which is trimmed with fried green tomato, pimento cheese, peach habanero sauce and okra pickles. Side order choice was bourbon flavored mashed sweet potato. The burger flavors just didn't blend for me. Service was very good and I will give it another try.

Blind rabbit was pretty darn delicious. We had a Bbq burger- we ordered it medium but it came about medium rare but it was still yummy with bbq sauce, fried onions and a bunch of deliciousness. There was a pretty large crowd on a Friday night- but the staff was dressed a little NYC style and we got seated at the bar even though it was a 40 minute wait. I had the Berry cider which was actually pretty delicious. I usually drink apple cider and it was better than usual. He got a wheat beer that he loved. There were also TVs so he could catch the great Jags game! Overall a cool spot with good TVs and some awesome burgs!

I've been to this location once. It's ok. For a newer place it smells of bar rot already. I was in the industry for a long time and recognize that odor. It was 3pm on a Thursday and I was just doing a little exploring in the area. There was a yelp review that stated there was a happy hour until 7. Which wasn't the case. My well vodka was $5.25 and was terrible. The bartender seemed annoyed to even be waiting on me. Until I paid. Then she was chipper. I'm sure it's fun to gather with a group of friends. It was an odd time. I haven't had their food. But compared to the beach location, this place is nowhere near as good. The service at the beach is 10 times better. Again, I've only been once and maybe the timing was off. I may go again with a group of friends.

I returned to The Blind Rabbit for dinner on Friday and I was again impressed by the service and the food. Ashton was my waitress and she was very friendly and professional. What did I have? The gorgonzola chips, the Southern burger and a berry cider. Although I don't normally eat okra, it went fairly well with my burger. The fried green tomato was a nice touch on the burger. And, once again, healthy portions for a good price. Kudos again to The Blind Rabbit. Thank you!

Delicious and flavorful food! So very good. Started with their st Germaine cocktail carafe which was a excellent and refreshing drink. Hubby and I both had side salads which were great especially with their citrus vinaigrette. We both had the cheddar burger which was by far one of the best burgers I've had in this city. . It was cooked a perfect medium well and dressed with fresh veggies. Excellent ambience and dining experience. Our server Mike was very attentive and answered all questions we had. Enjoyed it very much and will be our go to place for burgers and champagne. And mike was very professional and made sure we had everything we needed.

So having a night restaurant hopping has turned out awesome! Even after an hour wait, we still managed to get in the door. I've been looking for a really good burger for a while, and the southern burger here is absolutely fantastic! I mean it has everything you could ever hope for! Gotta give this pace a try!

We had such terrible customer service from the time we walked in. It ruined our entire time while visiting the blind rabbit. definitely will not be returning or recommending. But my milkshake was awesome.

Ok the first I went I was by myself. With the name changes I didn't know what to expect. I thought it was a biker bar, I was surprised to see that it was a nice atmosphere. And the sevice was great. As for food I had the pork belly and oyster sandwich. That was the best thing I put in my my for weeks . I washed it down with my favorite beer , king street stout. The 2nd time I took the wife and my 10 yr old . Ihad shimp and grits , it was great . Daughter had fried chicken and mac and cheese, she said it was o.k. The wife had the cuban sandwich, she said it was ok . The service again was great.I be seeing you guys again . Next without the wife and kid.

What can I say? I'm super excited for the next chance I can get to head out to the Blind Rabbit. I got the fried green tomatoes and they were super tasty. The milkshake was amazing, and the fries were fantastic. The burger was good, but something about the patty didn't seem really flavorful. Not too bad, but not as good as everything else on the menu.

Not impressed. My husband's burger arrived with a hair in it. They did remake the burger but no manager apology - and I really feel like his burger should've been taken off our bill. Drinks were not refilled. The server actually removed my empty glass from table and never came back with anything. Also when my burger arrived at table it was not hot, feel like it possibly might have been sitting for a while before being picked up. We went in between lunch and dinner, and only a few people in restaurant and service was very slow. Pretty disappointing.

Definitely one of the best burger spots in Jax - haven't had a bad meal here. They also have a great drink selection and some pretty unique whiskey cocktails. The Jax Beach location is great too.

Blind rabbit is definitely a good locals spot. The atmosphere is great, espically if your going with freinds. There whiskey selection is one of if nto the bigest in jacksonville. There food is a big spread of choices. The have great burgers and a lot of other amazing foods for the gastro lovers out there to try.

We had the Classic Cheeseburger and Fish Tacos. The cheeseburger was seasoned well and cooked how we asked. The fish tacos could have had a bit more fish but they were good. Both portions had a huge amount of fries. We were the only ones there at 3 on a Tuesday so service was fast and our server very attentive.

Being a foodie, this place was recommended by a fellow foodie. We were near by and decided to swing in for lunch. The decor was cool over all the place looked great. We sat down and I popped open the Yelp app to get a brief on what I can expect. The first thing that caught my eye was a great looking drink in a mason jar. I asked our server if he could ID the drink. It wasn't long before the Blackberry Lemonade was in front of me. It looked amazing but I was soon disappointed as I brought the great looking drink to my lips with the sweet anticipation. Quickly I was overwhelmed with a bitterness sensation as the alcohol content of the drink was so intense that it masked anything appealing. The server took the drink back and while over my shoulder, it appeared that he validated my concern by taking a drink of it and affirming my claim. He stated that the Bartender had only been there for 2 weeks. We scanned over the menu and chose a few appealing items. The cast Iron Mac & Cheese seemed like a good choice as did a simple cheeseburger and Cuban. Further reviews indicated that the fried green tomatoes were a good choice. I pondered that thought of ordering some but restrained until our meals arrived. Our sandwiches arrived before the Cast iron Mac & Cheese appetizer. When inquiring as to it's whereabouts, the server stated he didn't see that on the order ticket. Minutes later the other server arrived with the Mac & Cheese. The Cast Iron was smoking hot but the content was temped at best. The flavor of the Mac & Cheese tasted as though the flour used for the Rue has not fully cooked out. The Cheese Burger was Okay The Mashed potato side was tasty. The Cuban sub is unique an possesses acquired taste. The Red Beans and rice side was cold and pasty tasting. Also worth noting, the cookie sheets plates seemed to be an oddity with the rest of the decor. We will try the beach location next just to get a feel for both locations.

Great service! Loved the waiter. Brunch was amazing. The Waiter recommended the pountine on the brunch menu and it was a great recommendation. As a starter tried the fried green tomatoes and it was a winner too! Who can beat bottomless mimosas for 10! Can't wait to go back and try the burgers!

I came here about a week ago and ordered the No. 1 "The Classic Cheeseburger" and a side order of french fries. I was disappointed with the french fries which I found to be quite mediocre, however, I found the burger to be absolutely delicious. It really was one of the best burgers that I ever had. So the previous reviews praising their burgers were spot on. I think that is the real strong point for this restaurant. If I come back I am probably going to try one of the milkshakes. The atmosphere was nice but I found the place to be too dark for my tastes. The service was excellent. I believe this restaurant is located in an older, more historic part of Jacksonville.

I usually don't leave negative Yelp reviews but sometimes I make an exception and in terms of negative experience Blind Rabbit is definitely an exceptional example of a negative dining experience. I came here last night with a few friends and had a horrible experience. Our food was okay at best and I use the term "okay" pretty liberally. The food was lukewarm and slow to arrive. However, you do get a lot of french fries if you choose that for your side, so they do have that one thing going for them. Other than the pile of fries, the tacos I ordered were forgettable. The burgers my friends ordered were unremarkable and the Portobello burger my friend's wife ordered was described as bland and boring. However, my issue with this place isn't with the food but the service. I'm not sure if I showed up on the day when everyone in the restaurant was getting trained but I haven't had service this bad since I was dumb enough to eat at La Nap on San Pablo. Our server was inattentive and barely did her job. She was combative with my friend's complaint, was slow to bring our drinks, and was even slower to bring out food. This wouldn't have been an issue if it was a packed room but we were 1 of 5 tables in the restaurant. She didn't bring us water and she took forever to bring us our checks. She walked by our table frequently and never once made the effort to check on us. Maybe this is her first time working in a restaurant, I really don't know but what I do know is she made an unpleasant experience a billion times worse. Also, this may not be something they can control but the music in this place was super depressing and was making our meal feel really sad, like a holocaust movie, never ending David Bazan song, or lonely old man eating next to a picture of his deceased wife. The ambiance here was a huge bummer and just an FYI it was our friend's birthday too. Another complaint here is that the bar tender (which is an ironic job title because this person does not tend bar very well) doesn't know how to properly pour alcohol as that individual has clearly never poured a shot in his life. My friend asked for a double, was given a single, and was then told his single only looked like a single because of the glass. The glass was a standard short and anyone with an eye could tell it was a single. It barely made it to one finger. They then charged my friend 16 bucks for the single double of Buffalo. Just for reference a bottle of Buffalo Trace costs 20-30 dollars. I understand there is markup on booze but charging that much for a double is in my opinion, criminal and says more about Blind Rabbit than their food or customer service ever could. TLDR: the food is just food here. It is about as generic as it gets. The drinks are insanely over priced and are poured by someone who is anything but a professional. The service is slow and is generally bad. The depressing music they play will make you want to use your napkin as a noose and hang yourself from their open kitchen. If you value a pleasant experience, this is not the place for you but if you want to feel like the restaurant you are eating at is spitting in your face, milking your wallet, and laughing at your for making the mistake to eat here then by all means check this place out.

We loved the Salty Fig food truck, but hated the Salty Fig restaurant. My husband and I were excited to try out Blind Rabbit, which is the same owner, because we had heard good things about the beach location. We each had a burger- I had the whiskey smoked burger, and he had the BBQ bacon burger. I got macaroni for my side, he got fries with honey mustard. My burger was delicious, and was cooked medium as ordered. It was really smoky, as promised. The macaroni needs work. You have to love making macaroni & cheese for it to taste awesome, and this one was missing the love. The sauce it was in was ok, and the crust top was pretty good. It needed cheese added to the top, then the crust, then to sit under the broiler for a minute. Overall, I would come back. It was pretty good, and the prices make much more sense than the Salty Fig prices. The food is much tastier, too. Update March 2015: Tried their brunch today. It was sub-par. I got the southern breakfast. The grits are good but so so dry. The biscuit with gravy and hash were both way overly salty. The eggs were pretty good. Not my favorite brunch. This was probably my least favorite visit. Avoid their brunch and stick with their burgers and shakes.

Ok Ok Ok salty fig, blind fig, er blind rabbit. As much as it's annoying to keep changing on us all I think we finally have a winner. Salty Fig food truck was my favorite food truck. But when they opened their physical location it didn't match up with the truck. Their target audience changed and my young 20ish year old self couldn't keep up with the prices of the menu. The owners are some pretty cool dudes so I wanted them to succeed but I wanted myself to succeed too. So when they changed to the Blind Rabbit I was a little upset because burger aren't my thing. But prices were lower and again, we want them to succeed. My husband and I split the gorgonzola chips, which we already knew were delicious. We also split a burger. The burger was wonderful! But the moment of the night was when the mom of the owner brought us over a free appetizer. That free appetizer was their Fried Green Tomatoes. Oh my word. The gorgonzola chips are great but from now on I'm ordering the fried green tomatoes. It wasn't that they were just great it was the service that came along with it. If you actively sample and give something cheap for you guys to make then you'll gain customers. Because of the service and the food, we'll be going back! Can't wait!

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is the word I can use to describe the feeling that I am feeling right now! I just ordered the BBQ Burger from The Blind Rabbit and might I say...it was amazing!!! Applewood bacon, provolone cheese, sweet BBQ sauce, Crispy Tobacco Onions, Bourbon Spiked Creole Mustard, Brioche Bun and comes with a side! I got the "Roots" (French Fries). I did get the Bourbon creole mustard on the side but put the creole mayo on the burger and it was "flavor time" in my mouth. I will definitely come back to "The Blind Rabbit".

Wow, wow, wow! We walked in on a Friday night and sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly had plenty of recommendations. She was well versed in the menu as well the drinks available. As other reviewers stated the Fried green Tomatoes were incredible! Followed by a crafted burger the "(something) villa" it was on special , and absolutely delicious! We also met the GM and he was super friendly and very inviting! Definitely a place to check out. Great service, food, beer and atmosphere! A+

So, I'm new the riverside area, and was told to check out this place out for their moonshine milkshakes. While they sounded a bit strange i'm always down to try new stuff. We were greeted during a relatively busy night and seated with our waiter Jon. Jon was on point, He gave GREAT recommendations, was super attentive and even recommended what was his favorite drink and desserts. 5 star service for sure I had the BBQ Bacon Burger and a s'more milkshake spiked with some delicious kind of moonshine. So the food got 5 stars, Their Bourbon and whiskey menu is top notch and the bartender (Cassanda?) makes some excellent drinks. We've been back several times since the first visit, and will be back again and again!

We found this place when checking in on Facebook at Tres Leches Cafe and it showed up as a place that people who liked that restaurant also liked. Sunday before the Jaguars game we arrived at 10:30 am and although the sign on the window said it opened at 10, they had to unlock the door for us. My husband selected the Southern Breakfast from the brunch menu, and I chose the Whiskey Smoked Burger with hand-cut fries. The breakfast included andouille sausage, eggs sunny-side up, hash, Gorgonzola grits, and biscuits and gravy. He didn't speak much about the distinct flavors but there were only a few crumbs remaining. My burger was accurately cooked to order and topped with a slice of smoked Gouda, sautéed mushrooms and onions, and five-pepper jelly, and it was on a lightly toasted brioche bun. This was an amazing burger; I cannot remember ever having a better one. It was juicy, slightly sweet, and every bite was as good as the last. The fries and spicy creole mustard were a terrific accompaniment but I actually didn't finish them because I filled up with the burger. We didn't try any of the whiskeys on this visit, but were pleased to see two entire pages devoted to all of the brands available. We will be back the next time we are in town, and partake in that aspect as well. Service was friendly and prompt, and prices were reasonable based on the quality of the food and ambiance.

Sat at the bar. The first 3 beers I tried to order off the list were not available. Bartender was eventually able to find a beer I wanted. Ordered the fish taco and chips. Fish taco was delicious although about 6oz of liquid poured out onto my place as I ate it. The chips were nasty/ greasy and tasted like they were fried in the same fryer as their fish. Greasy, salty, nasty, fishy potato chips. Not a bad spot but not a great spot. If you're simply looking for the craft beer head across the street.

Loved it!! Stopped for lunch on 1/24/15. I had a cheeseburger and grits with goat cheese...burger was cooked perfectly & delicious, but the grits were AMAZING! Hubby had the portabello 'burger', he loved it. Son had a burger with pork belly...the pork was falling apart it was so tender, so much flavor. We all tried a local craft beer or two, yum! They have an extensive spirit menu... whiskey, bourbon, scotch, etc. Great location near local breweries. The bar/restaurant area was warm and stylish, and very clean. Service was also wonderful ... our waiter was attentive & helpful with suggestions. We will definitely go back again :)

When I invited my friends to join me here for dinner it was still the Blind Fig. Having eating at the Fig about 4 times I knew it was a good choice. Unfortunately the restaurant changed names matching the beaches sister restaurant and with that came a menu change. Thankful that the Gorgonzola Chips remained I treated my friends to several orders. Everyone was delighted. Normally a wine drinker I thought a Apple Martini was in order. This was a big fail. Watery with little Apple flavor it was left in the table. The good news they did have Intuitions, King St. Stout. Our server Tad was soooo very good and handled the table of 12 hungry diners with expert, friendly care. I opted for a burger so Blues Burger had all the perfect ingregients, Maytag Blue, Caramelized onions L&T Pickles on Brioche. I asked for Med Rare. It's a given it was going to be overcooked but this was so overcooked it was sinful. The ratio of meat to bread 40/60. I have had great burgers here before but not tonight. I also ordered the Mac & Cheese for a side. Sad, tasteless, uninspired comes to mind. The final blow no more Bread Pudding. Heresy!!!!. An when did Milkshakes become desserts? I can say with total certainty I will not be back. MHO

My husband and I went a couple of weeks ago before a concert. I really wanted a burger and we don't know the area, so I found this place through some google searching. We were not disappointed. We started with fried green tomatoes, which I highly recommend. Paired with the peach habanero sauce and goat cheese topping they were sweet, salty, spicy, creamy, and crunchy. I could have eaten a whole plate of them by myself. The burgers were decent. I got the BBQ bacon burger and my husband had the southern burger. Both were good, not amazing, but good for what we paid. We also got a massive pile of fries, which were awesome, but way more than we could eat. Honestly, everything paled in comparison to the fried green tomatoes.

This place is fantastic. Top notch service- Kevin was way over the top friendly and attentive. The food was world class, as good as the best in any metropolitan city I've ever traveled to. The prices are very reasonable, in fact very low for the quality of food and service. I can't reckoned this place enough, get in here already.

Just got into Jacksonville after a long day of travel from the west coast and was starving for a good meal open late. Friends were in this area for drinks so I picked this place based on yelp reviews and were not disappointed. Our waitress Ashton was an absolute doll and had amazing recommendations. The Gorgonzola chips recommended as an appetizer completely rocked my world. I truly consider d licking the plate!! The blackberry lemonade and blackberry mules were delicious and tasted fresh (which makes sense as our waitress informed us the restaurant cooks with fresh, local ingredients.) I had the shrimp and grits for dinner which were so amazingly tasty. They had a little spicy kick to them which was great. I was so incredibly pleased with this place. Will definitely be back when visiting JAX in the future.

The bartenders are not very good. I just paid then the check and she didn't even say a word. Took my wife's drink order and then walked away. After she brought my wife's drink she served someone else then me. The couple next to us left because they never got service. Scallops and bacon app was delicious.

Went out for lunch, not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I ordered two different ciders which were both delicious. We also had two different types of burgers. I had the traditional with fries and he had the whiskey smoked burger with a side of potato salad. Everything looked great and tasted fresh. The prices were fair for the sizes and our waiter was nice. Overall a great lunch! My few complaints: my fries tasted a little under done(but still good) and I was not happy when my cider came in a wine glass, something about that felt wrong.

This was place was absolutely delicious. Me and my fiance went for a date night, we got so much food! We started with the Gorgonzola potato chips and the corn chowder to start. The plates came out in just a few minutes, the chips were crispy and delicious, the soup had a great flavor and was very filling. For Dinner my fiance got the special which was a lobster topped burger, it was cooked perfectly with a delicious topping. I got the classic burger which was a very good burger. My favorite part of my meal was the "root" a bourbon mashed sweet potato, yummy! We both left very full and had to take half of our burgers home. I will definitely be returning to try some of the different drinks and menu items.

Blind Rabbit actually get about a 4.5 from me. This place is legit. Like whiskey? You're in the right place. Bourbon? You're home. Scotch? Damn right. And if you're a red blooded American, they've got some killer burgers to shovel into your suck hole. In the event that you're not into burgers (weirdo) they've got an array of other bad ass shit to satisfy your taste buds. They've got a solid selection of beer to choose from but where this place really shines, is the spirits. They'll get you drunk and it'll taste good all the way there. Blind Rabbit ain't cheap so don't be coming up in here looking for the value menu. If you want to ball out on a Friday or Saturday night, ( I went on a Sunday because I'm extra boss) this is a good place to visit. If you are taking a young lady here, expect HER place to be the last stop of your night because you now officially look like a real triple OG. Get some Blind Rabbit in your life.

I came here for the first time the other day with co-workers. For a drink I ordered the peach cider which was so good. I like sweet tasting drinks and this by far was, it reminded me of white zinfandal wine. For an appetizer I ordered the cast iron mac and cheese. There was so much I ended up taking the other half of it home. My co-workers ordered the gorgonzala chips. I tried a couple and loved them. For an entree I got a classic cheese burger. I didn't want to stray far from my comfort zone too much. Next time I'll try the BBQ bacon burger since I was torn between that one and the cheese burger. The burgers are delicious and very filling. I ended up taking the other half home. I love their hand cut fries. I'll def be back!

Gorgonzola chips were amazing! Something I would have never ordered if I hadn't seen how popular they were on here! I had the bbq bacon burger. It was a little too salty for me, but still good! I also had the blackberry lemonade. Two thumbs up for that one!! We will definitely come back!

Went for brunch due to rave reviews. It was by far the worst brunch we've ever had. Biscuits and gravy were hard and cold. Waffles were burned and ice cold. Tasted like toasted frozen waffles. Wait staff was friendly. Service was good.

Why 4 stars? Because this was a solid post-game spot. --- --- --- Ok, so I'll admit: I wasn't in the most cheerful of moods for my visit here. I drove up to Jax from Tampa during the wee hours of the morning, expecting to see a Browns win. Unfortunately, we not only lost, but were destroyed by the winless Jaguars, who as of this writing, have yet to win another game. Sigh. That being said, it's tough to mess up a burger with BBQ sauce and bacon on it, and the Blind Rabbit's was version was squarely in the 4-star range for me: not the best ever, but above average. The unfortunate part of our experience was that our server seemed to be fairly annoyed with our existence when we arrived. By the end of the meal, she'd had a change of heart and was friendly, but I'm not sure what her issue was early on. Maybe she too was a Browns fan? If that's the case, I can't blame her. The peach milkshake photos looked amazing, but unfortunately they were all out of peach. Damn you produce orderer!! Thanks Blind Rabbit... by the way, I left some tears on your floor when no one was looking. You can't lose to Blake Bortles. You just can't.

Hands down my favorite place to get a whiskey cocktail or to try a new whisky on the rocks. As far as good goes you can't go wrong but I love their wings for a quick appetizer with friends before a night out. Whether you're on a date or with a group this place is worth checking out.

Portabella sandwich was more ketchup and bread than portobello. They were out of fried chicken, which is what 3 of us waned. The waiter was really nice but service was incredibly slow. Husband has to go find someone to seat us as there was not a greeter or hostess. Overall the food was good, but the experience really was a let down.

Love this bar/restaurant. The atmosphere is fitting for this area. The one at the beaches is just as good too. Half of the menu is dedicated to some good burgers. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger - Applewood Bacon, Provolone Cheese, Sweet BBQ Sauce, Crispy Tobacco Onions, Bourbon Spiked Creole Mustard, Brioche Bun - which was really good. Not typically a fan of onions, but they did not bother me on this at all. Would eat it again. I also had the mac n cheese and the Peach Habanero Hot Sauce (which is basically like buffalo sauce with a hint of peach). The waitress was kind enough to give me a small sample of each sauce to go in little cups. Curry Mayo, Spicy Ketchup, Creole Mayo, Honey Mustard, Bourbon Spiked Creole Mustard, Bourbon BBQ Sauce. All of which are really good. Certainly a place to check out whether you're in riverside or at the one in Jax beach. They are both good.

This is definitely on my top places to go while doing the Riverside bar crawl (it's on Folio's 100 things to do in Jax- look it up for other amazing things to do). This place has gone through some name and menu changes since I first moved here last summer. But through everything, this place is a great late night spot. The burgers are fantastic, have lots of great flavor and great options to choose from. I went there on a late date night with my boyfriend, and one of the things that really stuck out to us were the milkshakes! Especially because they're alcoholic milkshakes! It's the best of both worlds! I'm not much of a whiskey connoisseur. I actually don't know anything about whiskey, but they have a huge selection. So if you like a great glass of whiskey, this is the place for you. All in all, an awesome local spot for a night out and a late night bite!

Really. Good. Burgers. I've eaten at both the Riverside and Beach locations. The food is consistently good. The sides are always flavorful, though not always fresh, and the burger variations are interesting and unique. My only complaint is with the basic structure of the burgers themselves... these are not flame-grilled burgers, and they don't come on anything other than a standard bun. The burger toppings are amazing and run the gambit from pimento cheese to "whiskey onions." It's the burger toppings that save this place, and they are clearly the stars of the menu. Take them away and you've basically got Five Guys. There isn't much not to like about this place, other than the very generic foundation on which the burgers are built. While I'll likely chow here many more times, I'm not going to forget it's just a very, very generic burger covered with some very original stuff.

I have heard nothing but good things about The Blind Rabbit, and I have had lots of friends tell me I needed to go there, so we did! They have 2 locations, one at the beach and one in Riverside. We visited the Riverside location since it was closer to home. We decided on the Poutine for our appetizer. For those of you unfamiliar with a Poutine, it is Hand-Cut Fries, Pork Belly, Tasso Ham, Cheese Curds, and Gravy....aka delicious! The gravy had a very nice taste and the fries were crispy. I got The Holick Burger for my entree. It had a Sunny Side Egg, Intuition Braised Pork Belly, Tomato, Arugula, Homemade Bread & Butter Pickles, Lemon Aioli, on a Brioche Bun. I thought the burger was very good, but it didn't really need the pork belly. I don't think it did anything for the burger and it wasn't very flavorful. However, the rest of the burger was great. I got mac and cheese on the side. It was very creamy and the topping was crunchy and flavorful. My husband got the Blues Burger, which had Maytag Blue Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Lettuce, Tomato, Homemade Bread & Butter Pickles, and a Brioche Bun. He has been craving a good burger and said that this one hit the spot! He got fries on the side. Verdict: Liked it We really liked everything and were pleasantly surprised. We didn't try any whiskey on this trip, but they have a very large whiskey menu for those who are interested. While the prices are not outrageous, they are a little higher than some burger places in town. Still, I think it is definitely worth it. We plan on visiting again soon!

Top quality service from the moment we walked in the door. And amazing restaurant with a menu to please just about every foodie. Ask for Brad, his knowledge of foods is world renowned.

Ok, I am a fan of The Blind Rabbit. The four of us (hubby and I + 2 friends) decided to give Blind Rabbit a try last night. We walked away pretty satisfied and happy. First off, the atmosphere was quite nice. Dimmed lights, spacious bar area, nice booths in the back, nicely decorated. Didn't hurt either that our server was one of the friendliest guys with a big smile I've ever met. And the food. The food was tasty and delicious. We had to try the three appeys that caught my eyes when reading reviews (main reason why I was anxious to try the Blind Rabbit) - Gorgonzola Chips, Poutine, and Fried Green Tomatoes. The chips were a bit salty and heavy for my taste (preference, hubby really liked it), but it was delicious. The poutine was not your traditional poutine, more of an 'elevated' version, but also delicious. Fried green tomatoes = da bomb! I don't think you can go wrong with any of the appeys we ordered. For our entrees, we had the Holick Burger, the Whiskey Smoked Burger, Shrimp & Grits, and Pork Belly and Oyster Sandwich. Everything was boldly flavored and delicious. I ordered the Holick burger and could not finish it. It was huge (and messy, as expected), but I'd order it again in a heartbeat. The Pork Belly and Oyster sandwich my friend got was very yummy as well. Poor guy, he offered to let everyone try a bite and I think he ended up with only half a sandwich lol. I guess the next time I come, it will be a hard choice between the Holick Burger vs. the Pork Belly and Oyster Sandwich for me. Overall, we really enjoyed our dining experience and can see us going back again soon.

Drool-worthy burgers and more; yumm yumm and thensome. Oh, and the shakes!! Not a fan of the location, however, based on: the drunk tourists that frequent surrounding businesses and the near impossible parking issues; but if you can make it inside, you're golden..!

This place is amazing!!! The food never disappoints!! We went for lunch on Friday and our server apologized for how slow the service was because 4 employees had walked out on their shifts while we were there. Our server handled it wonderfully and we will definitely return!

Modeled after the wildly popular Jax Beach spot (same owner too), adding a Blind Rabbit to Riverside's burgeoning King Street district is just what the area needed. On our most recent visit we sat in the spacious bar area and had the addictive gorgonzola chips drizzled with a balsamic reduction and the fried green tomatoes with peach habanero hot sauce and goat cheese -- get these. Burgers are the name of the game and my personal fav is the one topped with a fried green tomato (see the trend here), pickled okra, pimento cheese and hot sauce. The farmer salad with fried chicken is another go-to but be forewarned, you may not be able to finish it -- especially if you've partaken in the appetizers. The boozy milkshakes are fun too and we were told that several new concoctions are in the works. The cocktails are hand-crafted, the beer taps are aplenty (and lots of good local brews too - hello Intuition & Bold City! - plus rotating favorites from breweries like Tampa's Cigar City) and the whiskey selection is beyond impressive and sprawls an entire chalkboard wall when you enter from the King Street side. A great experience overall and since The Blind Rabbit is also offering weekend brunch, we'll be returning for that as well.

Blind Rabbit is the shit. They have a an awesome manager(Christen), who is the definition of service, a great head chef(Jason), who is a passionate beast in the kitchen, bomb food n drink, and the price is right. A couple of months ago, I attended a $20 6- Course /Blind Rabbit/Cigar CIty Brewing beer dinner at Total Wine. Blog post - nomnomjax.com/2014/11/21… I must of got lucky because I sat right in front of the Blind Rabbit cooking/prep station. I could hear the sizzle of the pork belly, I could smell the whiskey smoked burger cookin, and I could pick the sexiest looking plates. I always thought of BR as a burger place, but I was terrible wrong...some of the other course were Crab and Corn Chowder, Endive Citrus Salad with beautiful heirloom tomatoes, spiced walnuts, and orange vinaigrette, Jerk Shrimp with a sweet corn puree and Jicama Apple Slaw. I was so impressed with the dinner, service, and execution that I got the managers information and we've done 2 special dinners for over 15 people at each and i've been back countless times. The whiskey smoked burger is my fave - smoked gouda, smoked onions n mushrooms, 5 pepper jelly...yes plz! When you go, always check out the specials menu. Some highlights include: The blood orange salad - Arugula, Blood oranges, Blood Orange Vinaigrette, candied pecans, goat cheese, heirloom tomatoes, red shaved onion, and I add Grilled Chicken is the truth! I could eat that everyday. The Bason wrapped Scallops with Andouille Cheddar grit cake and chive aoli taste as good as it looks. I dont usually like grit cakes, I feel like it's disrespectful to grits but this one does it justice. Another special that was awesome was the Ribeye! I tried the petite one and the regular size one and fk thats good. My friends inhaled it. The Bacon Bourbon drink is very goood. The blood orange martini is fkin crack, check out the pic with the blood orange frozen into the ice cube...genius idea Christen. You can't really go wrong at BR. They even won best new resto for 2014 according to Folio Weekly and I see why. In the end, BR has an extremely solid foundation, very reasonable prices, and they have a bright future.

Chef Jason is rocking the kitchen at this place! We started with the chicken empanadas. This handmade crispy dough was filled slap up with pulled dark meat chicken (the tastiest ever dark meat chicken), smoked mushrooms, and onions. As if that wasn't enough he used a white truffle and spinach sauce that was plate licking good. I should have quit there but no I had to pig out with the shantytown stack burger. Wholly Molly, what a monster! The burger was perfectly cooked medium rare, topped with lettuce house made sweet pickles, Swiss cheese, pulled pork, onions and the most amazing horseradish mayonnaise and a perfectly beautiful sunny side up egg! What a meal! I ordered a side of Mac and cheese with this monster which was super creamy and delicious even though I only had room for just one bite. Our server Allie was supper attentive and took excellent care of us. Thank you Jeff for bringing all these talented folks together in Riverside to make this one of my favorite restaurants. I will enjoy my leftovers with my friends at work tomorrow!

What can I say other than ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The southern burger and the poutine are to die for! Our Canadian friends who are poutine EXPERTS even loved it! I have yet to have one of their famous milkshakes but someone at the table next to me got one and I will be indulging my next visit! The service is great too and whenever I'm in the mood for a great burger... I know where I'll be going!

Now I have been jonesing for the Blind Rabbit for as bit now. Tonight when my wife got home from New York City for New Years Ball Drop we decided to go back. The last time I was here I called out Jeff and he responded with great flair. On this trip Jeff's team held up his reputation in my book. Tonight's meal was one of the best that I have eaten at the Rabbit. It started from when we walked in and was greeted very warmly and quickly seated. Brad our server and knows us from other local eating establishments did a fabulous job also. We started with the fried green tomato stack with sautéed shrimp and a spicy pimento cheese. The tomatoes were fabulously prepared and the pesto with champagne sauce just plain worked. We moved onto the lobster burger that was just as well prepared a perfect mid-rare. I ordered the seared scallops with a vegetable succotash over a creamy sauce of pure heavenly flavors. The whole meal was definitely greatness in the works. I had to get the bread pudding that struck my eye upon the search for our entrees. We stuck to the whole special of the day menu. But, we did leave one item off of our dinner delight. The bread pudding was for when we returned home and our food was allowed to settle. Now we opened this final chapter to this evening. The pudding was soft yet crunchy, creamy and warm. the flavors of bake apples were well just there screaming out eat me. We did and this meal will live in a special culinary memories. Now this was the way to start a serious foodies 2015. Thanks Jeff and Team.

Great food and drink in a unique setting. The service has always been good as well. Every menu item is fresh and inventive. Our absolute favorite is the poutine, which is fries, cheese curds, meat and gravy (trust me, it is fantastic). An ideal place to go if you are up for an adventure.

I came in with the Nom Nom club for a special event. The service, food and delivery was good. The Bacon Bourbon Tomato Bisque was over salted but overall a great dish. The salad was great but could have used more pork belly croutons with baby caesar lettuce instead of the larger ones which can have a bitter taste. The best part for me was the simple gesture of the Chef coming to our table to say hello. I wish more Chefs would take the time every so often to pop out of the kitchen, and great their guest.

We had a large group sharing appetizers, so I can't speak to the broader menu. The appetizers have some unexpected spins on classics (ranging from Southern to Canadian!). The gorgonzola chips are fantastic and beautifully presented. The balsamic glaze cuts the cheese perfectly so the dish isn't too rich or over the top. The fried green tomatoes were well-cooked and got a new flavor from the goat cheese. I also had a really good Cigar City "peachsider" on draft that was smooth and not too sweet. Friendly service and an extensive wine and whiskey selection. This is a good place for a group gathering.

Our next visit brings us to Blind Rabbit on Kings Street. We've received numerous messages from people to try it. Well, we did. For sure we hit the right spot for a burger. Let me just get the entire review into one word. It was A-W-E-S-O-M-E. I went for the one that I thought was the one with a twist, so I decided on the The Holick Burger'. I don't think I've seen a burger yet that was combined with a braised pork belly. Well here we go. The burger looked great when it arrived. Of course I ordered it medium cooked as always and first test is to test that. Bingo, right on the money. Was perfectly cooked. This was such a strange combo with that pork belly when I bit into this. Combine this with the egg (which I love eggs on burgers anyway), not to forget the Arugula and the bread and butter pickles. Well, let me just say this. What a great delight of all those different mixtures of tastes put together. It was like an explosion in your mouth. Wow, what a great combo of tastes. For some strange reason they all fit together and to add that it for sure made it out of the norm burger taste. Please see more of our reviews at burgergeeks.blogspot.com .

This place was fantastic! The wait staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was great! We went as a family (adult children) for an early Mother's Day celebration. Based on the reviews I read we decided to give it a try. We started out with the poutine - it was so good, we had the waitress leave the plate so we could use the rest of the gravy with the fries that came with our burgers. My husband could not stop raving about the Blues Burger he chose. With his side of mac and cheese, he was one happy guy. My son in law and I had the BBQ burger - it was fantastic. My daughter chose the Southern burger and was very happy with her burger and her side of bourbon whipped potatoes also. My son opted for the Holick burger with no bun and a side of the vegetable melody, which contained asparagus and new carrots - wow! Everything was fabulous and we wish there was a Blind Rabbit in Orlando where we live.

I dropped in to grab a quick bite and watch some football, but I ended up hanging around for hours! The bartender(s) were very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was fun, and the food was good. My food only took a few minutes, and the bartender was refilling my mimosas before they were empty. I missed the goat cheese grits on the menu, but am looking forward to trying them next time. Luckily for me, I sat down next to a couple of friendly folks and made it in time for brunch (bottomless mimosas). Being new in town and knowing no one, I felt comfortable here with the small crowd and bartenders. They did a great job interacting and connecting with me and gave me some good tips about where to go and places to avoid. Overall, a very good experience. Will definitely be going back!

Great looking place. Food was good but I think overpriced. $13 for a burger and one side is a bit much. But that's what is happening to Riverside Avondale. Wife and I went with another couple. First time for all of us. I had the Southern burger. Over cooked. Friend ordered his burger medium. Me too. His was perfect. Mine was well done. Should have come off grill the same. Staff was pretentious. Full of them selves. But our server was good. Went early on a Friday evening. Got right in with no reservations but place quickly filled up. Might go back. Might not.

Great service and wonder food. Ask for William, he is the best! I had the Irish Whiskey Flight and it was amazing. The food was amazing as always. So glad they are bring a new level of service and quality to that corner. Avoid the place across the street if you are looking for more than regular food.

My lunch today at blind rabbit in riverside was one of my best lunch experiences in quite some time. From the app to the specialty burger of the week. The chef really had it dialed in. From the sauces to the chips it was apparent everything was made in house and to order. After my captain crunch milk shake I'm gonna need a nap. Keep up the good work!!

Not impressed by the new Riverside location... The service was horrible, and she took too long to take our food order. It was very slow in the restaurant, so there was no reason to lack service. We ordered the famous fried chicken sandwich, and most of the sandwich was batter! Disgusting... I will stick to visiting the Jax Beach location from now on...

Stopped in here randomly for lunch and boy were we glad we did! The Blind Rabbit has a great atmosphere; part industrial (exposed brick, chalk boards, etc), part classy and refined (back dining room area) but the main star is their food. Creative twists on some southern favorites; everything was well seasoned, interesting and absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back to try a spiked milkshake!

  • Joshua W.

This is not your average burger joint! I would consider this fine dining at reasonable prices. The plating was elegant, atmosphere pleasant, and the service was excellent. We had two entrees, two sodas, and one appetizer on our bill, totaling approximately $42. The server brought out a free appetizer randomly. The fried green tomatoes were very flavorful, with tangy sweet balsamic glaze, a spicy cajun style sauce, and bitter notes of goat cheese. In fact, the service was so good, I felt obligated to leave a very significant tip (35%) I don't know when I'll be returning to Jacksonville, again. When I do, you can bet I'll be returning to The Blind Rabbit!

Read the reviews on Yelp & decided to try it. The place is really good! Gorgonzola chips are great, as are the fried green tomatoes and the shrimp & grits amazing as well. Our server was very accommodating and it was happy hour! It doesn't get much better than this!

Pork belly and fried oyster sandwich and goat cheese grits. I could eat those dang grits every day of my life. But I have to stay away from here, and only visit once every 6 months because I'm pretty certain my sandwich of choice is like 12,000 calories. And it's worth every bite. Or the Holicker burger...pork belly and a runny, lovely egg....or the Southern, which sounds a little crazy when you read the ingredients, but it's the perfect blend of sweet, salty amazing beefy goodness....omnomnom! Besides they have a fantastic selection of craft beers and whiskey. And I love both dearly. So there's that. And I've heard the gorgonzola chips are great too! I've been here quite a few times now, and only had one slow service issue, so I won't ding them for that. P.S. I preferred the name Salty Fig, and may start a petition to change it back. Salty fig sounds like a great food place. Blind Rabbit sounds like an disabled animal. Just sayin'.

We were intrigued by the name so we stopped in for lunch yesterday to check this place out. Food was very flavorful! We tried the Southern Burger and the fish tacos. Both were excellent. I had the Bourbon whipped sweet potatoes with my burger and ... YUMMM!!! We were gonna try the Gorgonzola chips but the waiter forgot to order those for us so we saved a few calories there. ;-) As my drink I chose Bird Dog Blackberry Whiskey and gingerale. So refreshing!! I had no idea there were so many whiskey varieties!! (We did have to wait way too long to get our one beer and one mixed drink... And it wasn't even busy). They have a great choice of craft beers and awesome happy hour deals. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Decor is GREAT!! If you want to watch football you can see ALL the games here. We will definitely be back very soon!!!

When I get a kid-free night out with my husband, I want the food to be outstanding. The Blind Rabbit without fail always delivers. We ways start with an order of the Fried Green Tomatoes. The lightly battered tomatoes are topped with a delicious combination of Peach Habanero Hot Sauce, Goat Cheese, Heirloom Tomato Salsa, & Georgia Cane Syrup. Seriously they should considering bottling and selling the Peach Habanero Hot Sauce because we practically lick the plate every time. The Pork Belly and Oyster Sandwich is the perfect combination of the delectable crispy fat pork belly paired with the perfectly fried, incredibly juicy Apalachicola oysters. I am usually not a fan of bread and butter pickles, but the homemade thick cut pickles add a necessary tartness and crunch to cut the richness of the other ingredients. The side of cheese grits were lacking in seasoning, but had a great texture. Definitely will get again. Also not to be missed was a Fried Chicken Thigh over a hash of brussel sprouts, sweet potato, sweet onion and andouille sausage drizzled with a hot sauce honey concoction. This was the best cooked, juiciest boneless chicken thigh I have ever eaten. The slightly bitter brussel sprouts paired nicely with the sweetness of the potato and the sweet heat from the sauce. We did not try any whiskey drinks, but the drink menu was creative and the bar well stocked. The service was wonderfully attentive and full of great suggestions. This place has become a new favorite.

We have been wanting to try this place for a very long time and we're excited to finally drop in for drinks and relaxation. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday and the place was pretty empty as that's early for this part of town. We order a few beers, and my wife got one of their milkshakes that we had read so much about. We also went ahead and ordered the Gorgonzola chips for a bite to eat. Beers came pretty promptly. About 15 minutes late my wife still hasn't received her milkshake so I asked the waitress if it was on her way. She seemed a bit offended that I was asking and said they usually take about 10 minutes (again, 15 minutes after we ordered). So in fairness, we waited a bit longer as we know that sometimes get behind or go wrong. About 30 minutes later the appetizer finally came and I asked again where her milkshake was. The waitress seemed pretty annoyed at the fact I was asking again and had quite an attitude. 10 minutes later it still hadn't come out so we asked to just cancel the order as everyone else was done with their drinks and appetizer. A few minutes later (45 minutes after ordering...a milkshake) someone else came, looked like a manager, and finally brought it saying they would just take off the bill, again with quite an attitude. No apology was included. Anyways, I tend to think we are very understanding and patient when it comes to things like this. If you look at my profile I hate giving anything less than a 4 ever, but I'm feeling a 3 star was generous for this visit. But, there were only 2 tables occupied when we arrived so there is really no reason for a backed-up kitchen or bad service at that point. Our waitress and whichever manager we interacted with may have just been having a bad night. We were excited to come back for dinner soon and actually try a few menu items. Unfortunately, good customer service is much higher on our list than any tasty-looking menu item. Again, the food and drinks ended up being excellent! It's just a bummer the experience didn't match the quality of food.

Wow, came back after the place reopened, and what an improvement. The burgers are excellent. I had the Cobra Kai burger, and it was cooked perfectly. They're running a happy hour special where all the tap beer is $2.50 a pint. What a deal. Had a lot of local craft brews for super cheap. Looking forward to coming back for other menu items. Way faster than kickbacks.

So much whiskey!!! Tried the Holick burger and started off with the Gorgonzola chips...if you love cheesy things then the chips are for you..it tasted good, but a tad bit too much cheese and it made some chips soggy. The burger was just amazing, the egg and pork belly made the burger more juicier! The selection of whiskeys is overwhelming and if you're a whiskey enthusiast then this spot is definitely for you.

We went on a Saturday night and the place was bustling! An eclectic mix of people, the ambiance was lively. The blue cheese burger and southern burger were ABSOLUTELY delicious. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the interesting blend of topings made it a burger unlike any others. The french fries and onion straws were good, but the chips were by far our favorite sides. You also get to choose from a variety of funky sauces like curry mayo and hot sauce ketchup. Overall it was a delightful, delicious experience and we will definitely be back!

Everything about the blind rabbit was exceptional. Cassandra was the bartender and was friendly and very knowledgable about the menu and many mixed drinks. The bar was quite busy and she made all drinks with ease while running food when needed. I was very pleased with the quality of the food. I recommend the "Blu Burger"
