Now I know why I haven't gone into a Starbucks. No I have been in one before in NYC at maybe 3am in Times Square and it was cause it was about 10° outside and we needed to warm up. Today I had some time to waste so what the heck it's morning and I'm out of my coffee. Being a Jacksonvillien born n raised here and on Maxwell House. You know that good smell you get when you go downtown. I went inside and it is a nice store built about 11 years ago. It has some wear and tear on it but overall in good shape. I looked at the menu and even tried to pronounce some of the names of their coffees. I was really looking for a smooth and weak cup of Joe. Hot black and one sugar please. That's all not a moocha or a latte, frapa something. Just weak coffee black one sugar. The guy behind the counter looked at my like I was pink and had big purple ears. Well I did have slippers on and didn't have a laptop and plan on sitting here for 3 hours. I did get something black and one sugar but coffee was not what I got. I got a cup of some super strong black stuff that would reach out and slap you if you were anywhere near sleepy. After 5 more sugars it was almost drinkable. Well atleast till I got to the truck and drove to the gate store on the other end of the parking lot. The word dummy came to mine after I poured it out. I will close with Starbuck has made a boatload of money for many coffee shops. They have sol handed made the American public think that only good coffee cost 8 buck for a 8oz cup of coffee. Any cheaper is no good.

I have been going to this Starbucks for many years. It is the greatest Starbucks I have ever had the pleasure of going to. Over the many years I have created friendships with many of their employees. They are so helpful, welcoming and kind. Anyone who has gives this place lower then 4 stars were either in a bad mood to begin with or were quick to judge. There has never been a single time where they wouldn't re-make a drink or go the extra mile to make my experience a good one. I will say there are some new employees that I have not got accustomed to and don't seem as friendly as past employees. But I'm sure that will change after more trips there!

This is the second time in about a month that I have come to this location and had a horrible experience. The first time, I just shrugged it off as them being busy, but after this morning I will never come to this location ever again. We walked in to get refills and the cashier asked me if they were iced coffee. Trying to be helpful, I said yes and explained what they had in them (syrup etc.) and she responded with such an attitude "Yes, I can see that, it's written on the cup." OK... You were the one who asked... When our order got to the barista, she added the new drink to what was left from the old one. I'm sorry, but I don't want my fresh coffee added to the old watered down coffee! Every time I get a refill from a different location, they dump all of the old ice etc before making the new drink, so I asked her politely if she could remake the drink without the old stuff. And again I got attitude, she responded with "Oh, I though you wanted to keep the old ice." Really? At that point I just wanted to leave so we got the remade drinks and left. In the car on the way home, I tried my coffee and it was the wrong drink! Too angry to turn around, I just kept driving. The baristas name was Susan and not only can she not read what is written on a cup, but she has customer service skills equivalent to that of an ant. Not to mention, the inside of the store was dirty and the paint was chipping off of the walls.

This is my favorite Starbucks in this area. My drink always tastes good, no matter what I order. To me, that's the most important piece of my Starbucks visit now. Other locations aren't as good at being consistent with drink taste. When I last reviewed this location, I was coming here as a stay at home mom. Now that I am back to work in the business world, I appreciate this location being speedy during peak am hours. I can stop in quick on my way to work, even when I'm tight on time. I typically can get in and out of here within 3-5 minutes. Sometimes it takes longer, but that isn't the norm. In the afternoon though, or on weekends, this location is often overcrowded. They try to keep the atmosphere "fresh" by changing the furniture around every few months. Some employees are extra nice, and others are just average nice. I like it here. :)

I need to update and really give them kudos. Since my first review I was not willing to go back but my daughter was begging me to stop for a Frappuccino. I stopped not too bad the rude barista not there. So, since I have been going quite frequently . Not awesome barista gone, cleaner dining room, and a manager too! Not 5 stars due to wait beverages made correct but 11 minutes for a latte and pastry is a bit much when there's 1 person ahead of you. Big improvements great job guys!

I have always been a fan of Starbucks. Don't get me wrong I know I could make a cheaper cup of coffee at home but I like feeling catered to. This particular Starbucks has always left me with a happy and satisfied taste in my mouth. This place is consistently consistent. Whether I am in the area or stopping to grab a coffee or tea there are always people walking into this Starbucks so I am sad to only see 3 reviews :( I know that many people must like this location because it is always busy. But even with them being busy I never have to wait long at all. I am always greeted with a smile by the baristas and they even mention specials and new additions which I appreciate(even though they are usually listed on the board above them). This location offers outdoor seating (and WiFi for those that don't know) and the outdoor seating is perfectly located where you are warmed by the sun but never too hot (unless it is the dead middle of summer but then you would be hot anywhere). Their are also trees and a shade above the seating so it really is the perfect spot to read, surf the internet or chat with a buddy. Their are big comfy seats and tables located inside the establishment to which I seldom sit because I like to enjoy a little sunshine outside :) Their is a nice assortment of mugs, cups, ground coffee in a variety of flavors and baged chips, snacks, etc. I really like to come to Starbucks when I am looking for Christmas gifts and having the variety of cups, mugs and thermos's I like to pick out some for my loved ones (who also love coffee :)) I tend to lean towards the Cinnamon Dolce, Caramel Macchiato and the Green Tea Latte. For those of you who have never heard of Green Tea Latte (because it is not listed on the board), it is a latte with milk or soy, with several scoops of Green Tea matcha powder and a pump of "sweetener". I get mine with soy milk and "non classic" which means no added sweetener. If you like drinks sweeter then you would like this drink the way it comes. I like to think I am drinking "Healthy" when I drink this. Anyways, I have always been satisfied with my beverage, it is made the way I ask, they have no problems modifying drinks to my liking and they even make suggestions if they think I may like something different. I love the location of this Starbucks also, it is located in the Bartram Oaks Shopping area, near the Yobe Frozen Yogurt. I like that it is located here because their are several restaurants, a Peterbrooke Chocolate, The Pink Nickel (a Clothing Boutique), a Laser Hair Removal Studio and their is even a Spa here! My only complaint is that their is no drive through so it is not convenient for me to do a quick drive by.

After dinner, we decided to grab a cup of coffee. Look there, on the corner. Another Starbucks! So we popped in for our coffee. Not much of a line. It was 9pm. But there were a number of people waiting to get their order. So we ordered our drinks. Nothing too complicated. And then we waited. While our wait wasn't too long, my expectation is that Starbucks would be able to whip out these drinks in no time. They had 2 people making drinks and it was still a good 5 minutes before our drinks were served. Yes, they did get them accurate and they tasted good. But don't understand the wait. Anyway, this location was convenient and clean. I'd stop in again.
