fast-food sushi... eh, dont think so.

I tried this place because I had a Living Social voucher. When I walked in and realized it was a fast food sushi place (like a Jason's Deli or Moe's for Japanese food) I was concerned, but figured I already spent the money. I was pleasantly surprised with the food, which was fresh and well prepared and the staff was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't go here in a regular basis, but if you were really in the mood for sushi and tight on time, this place will do just fine.

Came here a few times before. This time it's a little slightly different. I usually get the chicken bento box and they always had 1 type of chicken (which is always teriyaki). But today, now they have 3 different types of chicken you can choose, so I chose the Orange chicken. My fiancé had the teriyaki chicken yakisoba. The Bento orange chicken came with edamame, fried rice, orange chicken, and 8 pieces of California roll. The yakisoba had the noodles, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and veggies. My fried rice was crunchier and dry, so I couldn't really enjoy it. Fried rice is suppose to be moist and not crunchy...obviously they didn't use egg. Looks like just oil and soy sauce and bam there it is...not good. The orange chicken was alright, something I can get from a Chinese-American restaurant. California rolls is normal as usual. Overall, it was okay. Nothing fancy or great. Taste is always the same. Nothing different. I think the best was the edamame and my drink...

This is a Chinese version of Flame Broiler. You order at the counter and they bring out your food. I ordered the chicken Bento box with orange chicken. The Edamame was perfect, rice was good and the sushi was OK. The chicken was good as first but the last piece had a weird dark spot on it and when I cut it open, it had a strange red mark in it so I didn't eat it. I loved the lightly sweetened green tea. For me it was OK. Would I go there again? Probably not since Bento Cafe is so close.

Seasons is a pretty good fast casual Japanese option in the Town Center. There isn't a ton to really say about it- inoffensive, tasty but not special Japanese fast food, maybe a bit of a cut above what you would get in a mall food court. Personally, the hibachi chicken breast express entree has always been awesome and great portions of protein. Anytime I've strayed from that order, the results have been less than stellar. The 'teriyaki chicken' (wtf is the difference between that and hibachi?) is clearly a few grades of chicken below the hibachi version, even though they're the same price. Weird. A big highlight is the unlimited sauce station and the Coke freestyle machine.

Its like a Japanese food court at the grocery store. We had soy sauce and pork (tongoku) ramen. They ran out of pork slice. We also had spicy tuna. Surprisingly really good ! They had really good selections on menu. I really want to try to Angus beef bowel . it looked really good. The place is nice and clean. Their ice green tea was really awesome. Free WiFi here as well. Very comfortable place . couple of flat screen tv. Definitely will come back

Great place to eat and enjoy time. Food is good and fast service. Never dirty and always friendly staff. California roll, sushi, grilled chicken, brown rice, etc...everything is good.

The steak and Iced Green tea were the best parts of the meal. The sushi was not impressive and kind of off tasting. The hibachi shrimp, vegtables, and fried rice weren't that great either. But I will definitely be back for steak and green tea. =) It was also a clean place and the cashiers were very friendly! Definitely a plus!! Great customer service.

Okay for the most part. Sometimes the food are very well prepare but sometimes their food is taste kinda bad. Like today we ordered ramen soup. We had some great ones before but this time it was tasteless. Tempura and bang bang shrimp salad are always good.

Seasons of Japan is pretty cool. An A-OK kinda place for me. I probably won't go out of my way because I am craving their food, but if I am in the neighborhood and need a non-fancy and quick kinda Asian food, it would be pretty high on my list. Hubby and I decided to give it a try this past weekend for an early early dinner (like 3:30 PM early). As expected, there were just a few other patrons when we walked in. We both love ramen, so I ordered a spicy miso with pork ramen combo with fried rice and hubby ordered the pork (with pork slices) ramen. We also decided to try their Monster roll. The ramen broth does not have the depth of one you may get from a ramen restaurant, but I don't think you'd expect that from this fast-food type joint. It's a filling bowl of noodle soup with bamboo shoot, corn, slices of pork (if you choose pork), etc. The side of fried rice is your basic fried rice (i.e nothing in it). You can add your own sauce from the sauce bar tho (like the spicy white sauce, aka shrimp sauce or the ginger sauce) and the rice itself can fill your tummy. The Monster roll is respectable for a deep fried roll, though a bit on pricey side. Though I wouldnt say that every item on the menu is 'cheap', I think the value is/can be there. Like if I was still in college (i.e. poor college student), I can easily see myself ordering a ramen combo... eat the ramen there, pack up a few side sauces, and take the fried rice home for another meal. I like the restaurant itself in that it is spacey and clean. The staff was pretty friendly. I'd go back next time to try one of their rice bowls or wraps.

This is a great healthy, fast food option, when you are in the St. John's town center area. If I had not read about it in Yelp I might have missed it, it is in between the Publix and Penzey Spice store. There are many options at the town center if you want to spend time eating a relaxing meal, and there are quick unhealthy options available, but this fills a niche that I need. Shopping makes me tired and hungry, and I can eat tons of vegetables here and feel like I have energy to keep on shopping! I love Yum Yum sauce and they call their Yum Yum sauce white sauce if you too like it on your vegetables. Now that I have discovered this place for myself I feel like it gives me another great option at the town center to consider.

We've come here a few times now and it's Pretty good food and the prices are reasonable! This visit, we got 1 chicken teriyaki entree, a sushi roll to split and the spicy miso ramen. The noodles were really tasty - definitely my favorite. The sauce bar is fun too - we always get the spicy white sauce to dip our sushi in.

The wife and I went to Seasons of Japan a few weeks back and thought it was not bad. We tried their ramen bowls, side of fried rice, and a specialty roll. If I am in the area and wanted a quick meal, it would be a good choice. I didn't expect too much out of their ramen noodle soup, and as expected, the layers of flavor was not quite there. It's not a specially ramen noodle place after all. Though, I do believe I'd go again to try their rice bowls.

This place is okay. The noodles and food took an extremely long time to come out and people who ordered after us got their food first. (It was just me, emma and my husband) we waited and waited and then realized it was because the lady behind the counter put our food in as a to go order when we were eating in. My husbands hibachi steak was well cooked and not overcooked at all but the steak that came with my noodle dish was charred and overcooked. The worst part was that all the noodles were literally swimming in oil. I obviously don't think this food the best or healthiest but I literally was spooning the oil out of my box And wiping it off my face because there was so much. The fried rice was okay as well. Not much flavor and just looked like it was coated in oil and soy sauce. I might come back here again if the need arises but it won't be my first stop.

I had no idea Seasons of Japan even existed until I saw a check in by another Yelp-er. I love Japanese food and when I recently had to pick up a case of wine at Total Wine, I thought it was the perfect spot to grab lunch. I got there just after they opened on a Sunday and the place was completely empty. Just fyi, certain foods can't be ordered to-go (which was disappointing since I'd looked at the menu online ahead of time and there is no mention of that). I ordered the shrimp hibachi bowl and went with the junior size before I actually saw the containers on the counter to show just how small it was. I find hibachi serving sizes to be excessive so I thought the smallest size was a safe bet. The girl running the register seemed to have problems putting it in and another guy had to come help. After I paid by $7, I waited a few minutes for my food. I was handed a tiny (and I'm talking, like the size of the cup of soup at Panera size) container and went on my way. When I got home I saw that they had included some shrimp sauce which I appreciated. There was actually a decent number of shrimp in the bowl but they didn't look like fresh shrimp, they looked like those little wimpy, frozen ones (though in the pictures posted here, they look better so maybe it was an off day?). The shrimp itself was pretty blah but I liked the veggies, rice, and shrimp sauce. Though I did notice the menu said zucchini and onions but mine had broccoli and onions, I like broccoli but it just wasn't what I expected. Overall, it's not terrible, not great. I just can't imagine picking this place over so many of the other options at the Town Center.

I really liked that you can order and pay for your order online!! It was quick and easy and even had a "special instructions" section on the order form. I ordered the Shrimp Bento Box that comes with an 8 piece California roll, fried or steamed rice, hibachi shrimp and edamame. Since I ordered online to eat in (as a recommendation to hopefully avoid going over my hour long lunch) the food was ready when I got there. They have a very interesting setup in how many sauce choices and drink choices you have. I didn't particularly care for the sauces they had his time but I will try them on my next visit when I order something a little more appropriate for those flavors. The edamame was good (it was only the 2nd time I've had it) and the CA roll was as well. I really loved the shrimp and the broccoli; there was a light tangy flavor that worked very well with it. Clean up was a breeze since the bento box was a plastic to-go container.

I've been here three times, each time I tried something new. I love the layout of the place, it is spacious and clean. They have high chairs that roll, which my son loves! It's like a fast food restaurant but with Japanese food. You order at the counter and clean up after yourself. I had the spicy miso ramen, pork ramen, and soy ramen. They were all good! I especially like the pork ramen. Love the sweet green tea and all the sauces there. On another visit, I ordered the hibachi steak with yakisoba and fried rice and that was also delicious. The sauces were good too! I haven't tried anything that I did not like and the price and portion was a plus. Customer service was good and they have a loyalty system using your phone number. I also visited the one in Berwick, Georgia and although their location seem less busy, their food still tastes as good.

The kitchen is very visible from the waiting line area, so their cleanliness is very apparent. The food is great but if you want to add more sauce, there are sauce with pumps of many varieties. They even have the teriyaki sauce in a heated pump container. The freestyle coke machine gives many drink options. There are only two things I would change. I wanted broccoli in with my food. They said you can't do that... That you need to order a side of broccoli (which was very tasty. It sits in a soy sauce tasting juice). It was to much food then. Also I think they didn't have a good selection of stereotypical sides. I am not 100% but I don't think they had crab Rangoon.... And while it might not be Japanese, I just assumed they would still have it. The rice is magnificent when you load it with lots of their "white sauce".... Nearly the same thing as shrimp sauce.

My first time here and I enjoyed every bit of it! I had a Super Bowl, which consists of Beef, Chicken, and Shrimp with rice mushrooms, broccoli, and teriyaki sauce. I also enjoyed the seaweed salad and the Green Tea. I enjoyed Season of Japan so much that this will not be the last time that I come here!

Seasons of Japan is definitely one of the best fast food Japanese restaurants around. I had low expectations of this place, but they wow'd me and left me impressed! I am a fan of hibachi grills, and to see that their prices are low and actually tastes pretty decent I am happy! I usually order their Hibachi Tofu Steak which consists of Broccoli, Bell Peppers, Mushrooms Asparagus, Broccoli Slaw, & Grilled Tofu. Alongside with it is some fried rice. This entree costs $5.95 and it was a large portion! I did not expect that. Their Teriyaki Ahi Tuna, and Steak & Shrimp hibachi was pretty decent as well, and its all under $10.00. Yeah, you don't get the grill entertainment but it's convenient and decent enough for an enjoyable meal. I have never tried their sushi rolls, but it is on my lists of things. Seasons of Japan is a great place to go for some fast, cheap, and quality japanese meal.

I won free food from here for a year, so I try to go every week, but its slowly killing me. Its just.... not... good. I hate to say it, because the staff is always wonderful and service is always quick, and ive never had an order wrong. But it comes down to the food. Describing it as "japanese fast food" is an insult to the japanese. Their sushi is actually pretty good, but i dont really like sushi so im stuck with the teriyaki shrimp and chicken, which is the next best thing.. but still sad. Ive now tried almost everything on the menu, and my continuous dissappointment is the reason for this depressing review. If you want good asian food, you can pay the same price for MUCH better at one of our thousand pho places in jax (i personally recommend "pho viet").

Ride past this place a couple of times thinking it would be just another commercial quick service joint with premade food that just sits around for hours. Not the case! First off, as soon as I entered the door the first thing I noticed was the extremely clean dining area, which is a HUGE plus for me. I hate sitting at tables I have to clean myself. All the employees were attentive and courteous, with a warm smile at all times. The food was delicious, came out hot and fresh. I had the spider roll, definitely recommend, with a fried soft shell crab, broccoli slaw, and smelt eggs. I also tried the Teriyaki Chicken, but couldn't finish it because I was so stuffed from the sushi. Overall, think I found my new go to Japanese spot!

Having recently relocated from Jacksonville to Miami, I can honestly say this is one of the things I miss most. Seasons of Japan hasn't been at Town Center for long, but it's perfect. Delicious take out hibachi. My favorites are the wraps, but a bowl would satisfy me too..I always add their spicy white sauce to everything!!

I have been several times, always order the ahi tuna plate with brown rice and the veggies that come with it. It's an excellent value and very quick. Not atmospheric, but very clean and roomy. It's counter service. They have one of the infinite possibilities computer mixed soft drink machines, but I get the iced green tea, which is very good.

If you want quick sushi and miso soup, this is the place. I had the spicy tuna roll. This sushi is one step above Publix and Fresh Market (and I eat both of those as well) Not the greatest sushi, but it will do. I would return to try other things on the menu.

So my friend ordered a couple different sushi rolls and after trying one of each, I really don't recommend coming here for sushi! Try one of the rice bowls like steak, chicken, or beef. This place is good if you love hibachi or teriyaki, but don't have a lot of time to sit & wait at an expensive restaurant.

Fast service, made to order food. General all around fast food approach to Japanese food. Not for real fans of real Japanese cuisine. Had to ask what is in each entree. Also had to order a side of veggies since none came in the entree.

I decided to check this place out because of the hype from my friends - which did not live up to the hype. Price is reasonable for what I got (teriyaki chicken bento box with California roll), but the overall taste was mediocre. To me, it taste more like a cafeteria version of Japanese food with sushi from the grocery store. Nothing special, and there's definitely a better selection in the area for Japanese food/sushi.

This place is great! GO HERE !! Seasons of Japan in jax is Incredible! I know this restaurant from its original location in Savannah,Ga. Savannah,Ga location is great, but the one in jax??... Outstanding! When coming to jax location ,I was drawn to the fact that it was in my town. When inside , the place had a coke freestyle , & looked nice. After placing my order, I drove home . When opening the plate, my food was VERY DELICIOUS! I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Japanese food.

Had a solo lunch here in the midst of Christmas shopping. The service was good but the tuna was less than stellar. In fact, it was a bit fishy (I was actually concerned that it might not have been fresh). I'd say, skip it. There are much better places to have sushi in Jax.

This was certainly an out-of-my-comfort-zone experience. First of all, I tend to avoid the town center whenever possible, but sometimes several errands bring me to this concentrated retail mecca. The stars aligned perfectly, and I found myself at Michael's Formalwear at about 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, having missed breakfast (and technically at this point also lunch). Both myself and my partner in Saturday errand-esque activities were craving sushi, thus we landed on the closest sushi place we could possibly find in our immediate vicinity. Take this for what it's worth, but keep in mind I am a tried & true San Marco, old historic hole-in-the-wall local business type of gal. When I have the choice in dining, I generally won't choose anything that resembles a chain/franchise, which Seasons of Japan reaks of. Some people are enamored by the giant bright red Coke machine that spits out 8,000 different drink combinations, so if that's your thing, you've arrived at the perfect spot if you end up here. There is wifi, though I couldn't tell if it was a free HotSpot or if you had to pay. The restaurant is lined with booths (mostly dirty but also vacant), perfect for an afternoon Yelp browse or whatever it is people are doing on their laptops in the middle of the day in public these days. The setup is a little overwhelming, frankly. The ordering system is set up much like a theme park line for a ride (complete with metal guardrails). They have some familiar sushi, but not much. I ended up standing in line staring at the menu above the head of the cashier for much longer than I generally would if I were anywhere else already committed to the cash register portion of the ordering process. That bothered me a little, but thankfully no one was behind me. I ended up with two pretty generic rolls of sushi, and my trusty sidekick (who happens to also be my best friend since 10th grade) ended up with the same 2 rolls of sushi (pretty standard for the two of us, m'lady knows what I like, and vice versa) along with a seaweed salad that was considerably more salad than seaweed. I think she enjoyed the ginger dressing that came with it, but that's not really my thing. The hot food (hibachi-style) smelled really good, but consider the fact that I was on the verge of a food-deprivation-induced-faint. I'm sure it's nothing to write home about, but I imagine if you've committed to that type of thing on a particular day you'd likely not be too disappointed. Anyway, I probably could have shortened this review considerably by simply saying this place was...fine. It was fine. I won't go out of my way to go back, but it's not necessary to pass on by if you find yourself ravenously hungry and craving food of the Japanese (by America) persuasion.

Been here twice now and I just think it's pretty terrible. The sauce is soo salty and the food just tastes and feels like poor quality. I honestly wish I liked it, hence why I went back for a second time, but I can't lie to myself anymore. The teriyaki bowl didn't even come with vegetables to offset the strong, overpowering saucy chicken
