I love the options here for seafood. You will see everything from shrimp to gator tail on the menu. I have tried several items on the menu and have never been disappointed. You are get large portion sizes and usually have to get a to go box if eating in or put in the fridge for later if taking out. This location is my go to location since its usually fairly close to downtown and Oceanway. The last time I ate here I had the 30 piece shrimp special with two sides (no drink included) for $9.99. Trust me this was more than enough food. Enjoy! I know I did.

We went in for their 15th and 30th day of the month shrimp special. The shrimp was good but I felt they could have had more seasoning other than that everything was tasty. I had fries of course and a side of mac and cheese ... which was ok but not great. had a nice beverage sat ,ate and talked with the Mrs. Nice atmosphere and the service was great.

This is the first time I thought it was a necessity to write a review right here in the restaurant! Upon entering Seafood Express I wasn't impressed. Nothing about the atmosphere, decor or overall representation of the restaurant was appealing to me. I don't like the fact that there's no table service, so they just have ppl busting the tables. Also, the tables are so close that you have no choice but to brush past ppl in order to get to where you're going. And the chairs are very uncomfortable to me. I ordered catfish nuggets, corn nuggets and a sweet tea. The catfish lacked flavor, the corn nuggets were cold, and even after sending them back I just wasn't impressed, also the sweet tea wasn't anywhere near sweet. We were waiting for our family to come and once they arrived I told them that I didn't want to eat here so we left and found somewhere else. In my opinion the restaurant is mediocre and there are way better seafood restaurants in Jacksonville. Happy Yelping... I guess.

Great food! The fish and shrimp is wonderful. Fast and friendly! Quickly becoming one of my favorites! Casual atmosphere with a home kitchen feel. My husband loves their oysters and fries. All and all, I would whole heartedly recommend it!

Food is the absolute the best, service is top notch! I enjoy Seafood Express so much. On the 15th & 30th of each month they have a 30 PC. Shrimp w/ 2 sides for 9.99. The absolute best seafood ever!

Seafood Express and More was a slight surprise bargain for the buck. On the 15th and 30th of the month they run a special which is 30 Shrimp and 2 sides for $9.99. On arrival at the location, I noticed people taking take out bags with multiple containers in them. Out of Curiosity I asked one of the men carrying the plastic bag which was loaded full of containers, if the shrimp were good and he reply yes they're good to me. I immediately hopped out of the car and proceeded to the front door. What I found on the inside was tables packed with people scarfing down on mounds of fried shrimp. The decor is a fisherman theme. They use space very wisely being that it was packed I didn't have the feeling of someone breathing seafood breath down the the back of my neck. You order your food from the counter and seat yourself. There isn't table service so don't look for the waitress/ waiter. However, there are busy boys available to keep the place clean and bring missing items ie silverware and plastic bags and containers to go. The have a self serve beverage station, which is cool. They have a choice of teas, lemonade and sodas. The shrimp were meaty, crispy light coating and a nice size for finger food. I picked corn and french fries as my side of choice. All in all I will be returning to get my mouth on thoes shrimps again.

I used to come here a lot, but now this place is a sham. They charge $18.99 for a seafood platter, then they want to charge $2.00 more for oysters. This platter used to be $18.99 with oysters, so they remove oysters, add nothing, then tell you it's because the price of oysters went up. Guess the price of nothing is as much as the oysters originally were, because that's what you get for the same price.

My wife and I called in an order for pickup...I had fried shrimp w/ french fries and Cole slaw, my wife had gator tail w/ rice pilaf and green beans. Overall both meals were very tasty and satisfying. My only grip was with the Cole slaw...I am nearly 60 years of age and have been eating Cole slaw for a long, long time, but I have never opened a container of Cole slaw to find chopped cabbage with absolutely no dressing on it. C'Mon man...Seriously, it was chopped cabbage with nothing on it...Very disappointing!!!

Meh. If you like fried shrimp - this is probably your place. I'm more into unique flavor combinations so I tried their house made "seafood gumbo". It tasted more like canned tomatoes with seafood and okra mixed in. Not for me.

Stopped here before catching a plane out of Jacksonville, only had a little bit of time but with a name like Seafood Express, I thought we could make it. We were pleasantly surprised. The servers and employees were all very friendly and efficient. The food came out quick and was super hot. Everything was delicious. We will definitely return and have already told a few friends. We were there at lunch and they had a great special, three choices of seafood with two sides. I chose shrimp, scallops and clam strips with green beans and mac and cheese for my sides. Delicious! If you're near JAX, give them a try.

I've been here several times over the last few years and have yet to be disappointed. They used to have a billboard behind NAPA Auto Parts that advertised 30 shrimp for $9.99. The menu price was higher but you would get the $9.99 price if you mentioned the billboard. Tonight I chose the Flounder and Shrimp with rice and green beans and a drink. All of the food was really good, I was especially happy with the rice. The batter used on the fish and shrimp is not too heavy and not too light. I've never felt that the food was overloaded with grease. Service is always on point with the time it takes for your food to come out, providing extra napkins or cocktail and tartar sauce. The servers/runners are always friendly as well. Be advised, you get handed a cup and you make your own drink; your choices are the basic Pepsi fountain drinks, sweet tea and unsweet tea. There is a small drink cooler as well but I've never paid attention to the choices. They have a small wine/liquor selection, again, I haven't paid attention to the selection.

That was purty darn good! The whole experience was above par from the service to the food. I had stuffed basa with blackened scallops (substituted for broiled shrimp for $1 more), cole slaw & green beans for $12.83 total. The basa was great; tender, seasoned with mushrooms & onions. Close to sea bass quality. The scallops were cooked & seasoned just right. The atmosphere is just fine also. They have a good lunch special which I had in mind to get: 3 items, 2 sides & drink for $10.99 but what steered me away is the $2 charge to double 1 item in lieu of a 3rd choice. Overall it's a lil pricey for lunch but comparable to similar venues & the food places this a cut above. Definitely recommended!

So today I call in my order to go. I arrive and go to the counter where it says TAKE OUT. The girl sends me to the ORDER HERE SECTION where there are 7 people in line. So they tell me I have to wait in line. What for?! There are two registers open with pokey and molasses working the registers. Now my food is going to be cold and I'm STILL IN LINE! RIDICULOUS.

I was thinking I would have to go fried here but they totally delivered on the grilled seafood! My dad wanted seafood for Father's Day so we landed here. I ordered the mahi and shrimp with green beans and salad. The fish was fresh and tasty! The green beans were awesome and fresh! The salad was great! My husband said his clam strips were fantastic! Will definitely be back.

We got the platter for 2 and two teas and it was 40 bucks. I wasn't wowed. Felt I could have gone to captain ds for cheaper. The sides were bland. Mac n cheese grits baked potato and fries. Doubt we go back.

Want hot, delicious and LARGE portioned seafood platter? Seafood Express is the place to be! This restaurant is located in a strip mall on north Main street. It has a large menu and plenty of seating. Hubby and I decided to try the Caesar Salad with your choice of fish~~I chose the Mahi. We also got a 'pick two' seafood platter~~with broiled Mahi and fried shrimp. This dish came with fries, slaw and hush puppies. Portions were large so if you're hungry, this restaurant will not disappoint! Try out their nightly seafood specials!

Great fresh tasting seafood! Did a take out so I can't comment on the restaurant atmosphere or service. Freshly prepared food was slightly higher than my comfort zone but the food taste and quality were worth it in the end!
