Sausage Paradise Deli & Bakery Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Excellent service. Very good sausage sampler; Berliner brat and chorizo, German potato salad and sauerkraut. I hope they make a go of it. Not a tremendous location. They will need loyalists to spread the word. They told us that they make some of the sausages in-house and order the rest from Philly, Chicago and other cities. We will definitely return. I'm a follower of the Atkins regiment so of course I had to try a place known for meats. I was not disappointed. I had the Bavarian bratwurst. The skin is tough but very tasty. I added grilled peppers and onions, for free. I added a house salad, good price for the size. I was totally stuffed by the end of the meal. This place has all kinds of pastries and meats. They also have a deli which I love! The service was great. I'm definitely going to make another trip.

First time eating here. I love deli style sandwich's and German style food. My husband had the Rueben with fries, he loved it, and there was plenty. I had a Brat/Berliner and the Currywurst sausage, German potato salad was all very good. Hope to go back again and try out some of the other menu items.

Located in a veritable sea of strip mall restaurants, this was an shining island of pure awesome. My friend and I ordered the bratwurst, polish sausage, and hunter stew. All were incredible! Everything was fresh, authentic, and flavorful. This was also a true mom and pop place (in this case, father son? It seemed as if dad was cook/owner and teenage son helping out at register)... You can tell they care deeply about their food and their customers. We couldn't resist dessert - I forget name now but I took a picture because it was so good! It was magically rich and light at the same time. Can't wait to come back!

Way better food here than German schnitzel haus. Brats and German potato salad was delicious. On top of that the food didn't make my butt vomit like German schnitzel house on Atlantic blvd. Will eat here again.

This place is wonderful! German, Polish, Ukrainian, & Russian food. Very delicious & tasty everything! Owner/employee were super nice! Lots of variety in sausages & other authentic dishes. My son dropped his half of the sausage out of his sandwich on the floor & we felt bad asking for another one so my hubby went & asked if they could rinse it off and the (owner?) refused - he insisted on making another whole sausage sandwich! (And with all the peppers, onions, mushrooms, trimmings, etc). I thought that was reeally nice! :). Would like to try their dumplings (looked really good) & some different desserts next time. Humble, casual environment. Big clean restrooms. Very nice, down-to-earth, sweet people. I wish their business well!

Try the salamis and garlic bacon up front. Best place to get sausage and salami for take home consumption in Jax! With a name like sausage paradise how can you go wrong?

This place is great! Owner/chef is very nice...offering samples and making specials to suit my diet without any problem. I had the Bavarian Shank. It was very well seasoned and plenty for your money. My husband has been going in for lunch at least twice a week since he found this Deli. We love it!

My mom had read about this restaurant in the paper so we decided to check it out. It was wonderful. Had a hard time deciding which sausage to try but settled on the homemade polish and knock wurst. Delicious. The Cole slaw and Germany potato salad were great as well. Staff super friendly and restaurant was very clean. Will come back on weekends to try the smoked baby back ribs. Great prices and great food.

I'll be back for this awesome home made UKRAINEPOLISHRUSSIANEUROFUSION #food. Thanks so much, nice job guys #goodluck

Delicious and unique! Sausage Paradise was a place that truly felt authentic. I enjoyed some sausage filled "Hunter's Stew". The stew was hearty and flavorful. For only a dollar more the soup became available as an all you can eat item.

The Stuff Cabbage is great!! I highly recommend that if you happen to stop in on a Friday, definitely try it!! We also order the Sausage Sampler since it our first visit.... We will definitely return! Great service, great comforting food....why not? I unfortunately didn't get a picture of the Stuffed Cabbage because, well....it was gone, haha!

Great food. Service was really slow. They brought one of our meals out first and the 2nd meal didn't come out till about 10 minutes later.

This place is one of the only two german style food places here in Jax that I know of. I'm going to loosely compare them to german schnitzel haus but feel its imperative to mention that they're two different types of establishments first. Gsh serves booze, has no on site bakery or store, but does have a coal fired place to bake pizzas. Sausage paradise has an on site bakery and deli but doesn't serve booze. To each their own. However, I find that the customer service experience totally is amazing at SP. You walk in and order off a small( but I've been told by the owner it's going to extend shortly) menu. They have daily specials, and are very courteous with free samples!! The deli case was a bit slim but it may have been time for them to restock soon. Owner and staff at SP= SUPER friendly! We ordered, sat after getting drinks and before the meals arrived, were gifted a piece of their cake to share:) girls love cake! Lol. I ordered the sausage platter with a currywurst brat and a knockwurst. The sauerkraut was divine with caraway seed and little pieces of apple. Sooo yummy. The german potato salad( served warm of course) was just so so. I think it's bc I make mine warm but season it considerably more? Still it was decent. The table had currywurst sauce that waited for me..it was pretty decent but again I think I make my seasonings a but punchier so I expected a bit more of a curry flavor. The SO had a ny pastrami and corned beef I believe? With knockwurst. Clean plate club here. I def plan on going back, as the owner promised there'd be pierogies on the menu next time and maybe even a few Russian items. Check these guys out, I believe they've been open little over a month now and they are in the heart of baymeadows.

This place is awesome ! They just open last week. They will be opening bakery part in few more weeks. There were many choices of sausages. We had sausage sampler it was crazy food ! They make their own sausages. Even better ! Potato salad was awesome with touch of dill! The staff was very friendly. I think it was the owner came out and spoke to us a little. He said he usually have BBQ rib and chicken on the weekend. Seems like he will be adding more and more on the menu. I can't wait to come back. Especially when the bakery part open. I bet the coffee is Probably really good too! Defiantly going back ! Great job guys !!!!

Friendly Folks turning out really good food. Loved the pirogues with polish sausage and white brat made perfect appetizer. Daily specials and plenty of options along with baked goods - definitely a multiple visit place to add to regular dining spots.

As most of you know if there's house made sausage I'm all over top of it. I saw this a couple of days ago and says self you are working near there. I stopped in after they have been open for 5 days now. I know what took me so long? The place is nice and brand new. They did a good job on everything but I might move the sausage display away from the main window. Most folks come in and move to their right not left. The owner and I think his son were super nice showing me all of their wares. I you like you can try sample. That could have been his first mistake. Yea I want this that and the other thing. Oh course I tried almost everything and brought home a fair amount too. Let me tell you they make some good sausage like an Italian and a Kielbasa right out of the smoker. They also make a sauerkraut that is pure heavenly. They even make desserts in house like a raspberry tart that could be very bad for my waistline. The tiramisu is quite tasty also. In all a new place for sausage that you will see me in a lot in the future. Great Job Guys

Just tried the NY Deli panini! Excellent! Fresh meant, perfect amount of mustard and mayo, and the cheese was melted superbly. I can't wait to try out more orders here. The two young gentlemen running it today were very friendly and helpful. As a transplanted New Yorker, It's great to see some real culture in jax!

My husband and I ate here tonight for his Birthday dinner. First let me say the place was immaculately clean. I even looked at the ceiling fans and the vents and everything was clean. We always look at the decor , tables, and lastly if we can see it the kitchen. The decor was simple but set up well. The straws were in a different location then the soda machine but easy to find. The service was the best. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. They come on this very cool wooden place-mat thing. The set up of the food is great , more like something a trained chef would know and made FAST. The staff came around to make sure everything is good a couple of times which I like. I don't like over anxious staff looking for a large tip which they didn't do. At the end of our meal the gentleman took our dishes away for us. While there check out their variety of sauces, breads, meats and cheeses they also sell. This is much like The German Schnitzel Haus but unlike The German Schnitzel Haus the prices match the food amount you actually get what you paid for. Before we left my husband bought some of their homemade mustards. He was chatting with the order taker about their sauce and the gentleman was kind enough to give him some free samples of it. All in all a great experience. I just feel bad they are tucked behind Mcdonalds so you can't see the place from the road. Check them out you won't be disappointed. Check them out on facebook at facebook.com/sausagepara…

Went to SP for dinner last night and in a word, AMAZING. We were one of two customers so we received the royal treatment. The owner is a really nice guy and the whole experience was very "European". The food was great. Since we (me, my wife and 2 kids) hadn't eaten at SG before we ordered the first four items on the dinner menu and shared each plate. WIN!!! I recommend the perogie meal, reasonable plate of food with 10 perogies and a sausage. The sausage platter was great too but since they have more than a dozen different sausages to choose from it would be unfair to compare to a standard meal. The pork shank was cooked perfectly but pork is pork (my boy wanted BBQ and I told him this was European BBQ). The pelmine (-1 sp error but they are Russian dumplings) were a great appetizer. The three meals came with ample sides. The best side was the apple sauerkraut with rye seed was so good it brought a tear to my eye. I look forward to trying one of the sandwiches and soup some time soon for lunch.

What a great find! This place offers a nice mix of traditional Russian, German, and Polish foods. The food was incredibly flavorful. The staff and owners were super friendly and were more than happy to offer samples of their delectable morsels. If you're a foodie, you definitely should try this place. We will be back :)

Five stars all the way! Service, cleanliness and of course: The food! I read about this place back in March in Folio Weekly's Bite by Bite article, and decided to give it a try. There is a variety of meals to choose from. The Hunter's Stew is spectacular; filled with fresh meats and veggies. It reminds me of the kind of soup my grandma would make from scratch in a winter day. The price us unbeatable for what you get! Do I could try more than one thing, I had the sausage platter, and choose the Currywurst and Bavarian sausages. I ate everything. The currywurst was delicious, especially with the sauce the cashier suggested to pair it with. My favorite was indeed the Bavarian. Paired perfectly with that potato salad and sauerkraut. Both sausages had that snap to them and were balanced in seasoning. This place has a nice selection of mustard for your sausages (*giggle*), I tried and instantly fell in love with the horseradish spicy mustard but am looking forward to going back and trying the others. For some, you can't read the label ingredients unless you know Russian but don't let that deter you. Bring on the adventure! The atmosphere is simple; you truly focus on your meal. Clean and to the point. This gem is blocked by a huge McDonald's but if you find oft, you struck gold! There was a Eastern European family there when I arrived so my expectations were very high, and they were met! Finally an authentic place; I will definitely be going back to this place to try out more of their sausages and perhaps a sandwich.

After a short workout at Planet Fitness, my buddy and I decided to try this place. They're averaging 5 stars on Yelp so it must be good. Maybe it's too early for dinner since we were the only customers at 6 PM. We were there to try their sausages, but ended up getting the paninis instead. I had half of the German panini and half of the Cuban panini. The German panini came with sliced Westphalian ham, liverwurst, sautéed onions and mushrooms, spicy brown mustard (substituted with mayo) and Swiss cheese. The liverwurst was about a third of an inch thick and it was a little overwhelming. A very thin slice would have been perfect for me. Their German can also be served as a cold sub or a wrap. I did enjoy the Cuban panini which was served with cheese, ham, pork loin, and mayo. Nicely toasted. I have to try one or two of their sausages next time. The name of their store is Sausage Paradise Deli and Bakery so their sausages have to be really good right?

I visited Sausage Paradise solely on curiosity...well and the fact that the name just gave me an opportunity to make jokes. I don't even like sausage. I'm no sausage connoisseur either. That being said I did enjoy the experience at SP. The place has that no frills deli /bakery vibe. You walk in, step up to the register, order, get a number, sit and wait for your food to arrive. I've never had anything on their menu before so I just took a leap of faith chose the blitzen (sp?), didn't like it at all. That's what I get for not choosing sausage at SAUSAGE paradise. Meat stuffed crepes just wasn't my thing. I can see why people who love sausage would appreciate this place. Because everyone else at the table enjoyed their food. The hunters stew is pretty good lots of flavor and meat. Very hardy soup. The sandwich with the liverwurst was good but that liver is sliced too thick for my taste. I ordered the layered cake which was surprisingly good, really moist and creamy. Customer service was pretty good as well as the server was pretty knowledgeable the menu and answered all our questions. I will go back and actually have sausage and hopefully updated my review.

I am here at Sausage Palace with my friend Jimmy P. We decided to come over because of the outstanding reviews. As of right now, we are the the only customers. We are trying the German panini and the Cuban panini. The cuban is good, but I have tried better. The main ingredients, ham and cheese are of good quality. The french fries are very very good. The german is good as well, it has this perfect smoked flavor that characterized this type of sandwich. One note, service was really good, very professional and always offering assistance or anything we might need.

I keep coming back here for the sausage sampler plate. They make their own sausages, and there are always 6 or more varieties on the menu. Brats, italian, polish, wursts, ....its wonderful. Imported spicy mustards and warm german potato salad. The sampler plate lets you pick 2 sausage varieties and comes with a generous portion of the german potato salad. Highly recommended. They also have very nice sandwiches (a great Reuben!). No frills dining room, but friendly and accommodating staff. If you like really good artisan sausage, this place ought to be on high on your list. Its hiding in a strip mall behind the McD's on Baymeadows.

Sausage factory doesn't appear to be much from the outside, and the tables inside remind you of a quaint cafeteria, but the sausages are a delight. My husband and I ordered the Sausage sampler and a panini with Turkey. The Bohemian had the perfect snappy skin and juicy, slightly smoky insides. Perfectly balanced by the assortment of mustards and hot sauces I had chosen. The curry had good flavor, but for me it's the bohemian all the way. I didn't enjoy the potato salad, but truthfully... it's probably because it wasn't covered in mayo or oil, soooo.... I should like it cuz it would help with my bee-hind... I am not a fan of turkey sandwiches, so I will convey my husbands delight, he LOVED his sandwich.

Besides the obvious humour delights of being able to say that you visited 'Sausage Paradise', this place is actually well worth a visit both for the food quality and for the value-for-money. The Hublet and I were engaged in some pretty heavy DIY the Friday before Labor Day weekend & realised we were long overdue lunch. We drove down Baymeadows Road towards Southside Blvd and were going to hit up Larry's Giant Subs, however I noticed a store sign for 'Sausage Paradise' tucked away into the back right corner of the plaza and we decided to try somewhere new. SP looks a bit dark on the outside, however once inside you're immediately struck with how bright, clean and neat everything is. They offer a good amount of table seating and tend to get quite busy around lunchtime. All sandwiches have the option of coming as a hot panini, cold sub or wrap. The Hublet ordered a cold Reuben (classic Reuben ingredients: sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, thousand island dressing) for $6 and a Currywurst Sausage for $5 to share and I ordered a hot German Sandwich (sliced North-German Westphalian ham, thickly-cut Liverwurst, swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms & onions and brown mustard) for $7. I was happily surprised to find Liverwurst on the menu as it's a bit of an acquired taste that I'm not often in the mood for but always like to know where I can find it when I am. I wasn't in the mood for soup but they kindly let you have a sample of the soup of the day to try. This place offers the sort of food that Eastern Europe is best at: a plate of food loaded with carbs and good portions of meat that will definitely fill you up (and possibly put you to sleep). The sandwiches were very nicely packed with meat as well as the obligatory extras and they come with a huge pickle spear. The Currywurst came in a hotdog bun loaded with sautéed onions, mushrooms and peppers and a very nice sauerkraut, which I believe they make themselves. The sausage itself was a decent quality specimen and nicely seasoned. They also offer a nice but limited range of hot sauces for those who like to add a little zing to their meal. I was honestly too full to try their desserts, but they offer a nice range including pineapple upside-down cake, Black Forest cake and assorted pastries and turnovers. We only had a lunch here but I'm going to come back and eat dinner here as they offer some delicious-sounding choices including Pierogi, Pelmeni, Beef Stroganoff and Stuffed Cabbage. Definitely worth a try at the very least for lunch and I'm almost 100% certain they're worth a dinner visit.

So..i have to confess that it was the name of this place that caused me and my friends to go here..the fact that it sounds A LITTLE like a male strip club made us all giggle.. When you walk in you are greeted, which is always nice..the whole place is really clean and nicely decorated.. we all had the sausage sampler that has a choice of two sausages potato salad and sauer kraut. The young man working at the counter knew all the sausages well and was able to help me choose two delish ones! All in all we tried a currywurst, a polish, an italian, a bratwurst and a nuermburg bratwurst..they were all equally great! The flavors of all the food were really diverse and amazing, the kraut was cooked to perfection, and although i have some german descent i had never had german potato salad brought out on a sizzliing skillet..it all came together so nicely.. They also have what seems like a yummy selection of sandwiches and soups, and deserts, and they sell all their products there as well. The owner came over and asked us how everything was, and told us they will soon be baking all sorts of thier own breads there. ps..they have this sauce on the table..youd think it was ketchup if you werent told..its this red/brown curry sauce..and its so good..i mean really good..i think i will see if they sell that by the bottle..or can i take a bottle with me..really its that good!

Yes, I am a fan! Hubby and I went to Sausage Paradise for lunch this past weekend. There were a couple of tables, but otherwise, pretty quiet due to a late lunch probably. We were greeted immediately and asked if it was for a take out or dine in. We browse the meats display case and the dessert case, and decided to dine in. Hubby ordered the sausage platter and I ordered the "German" sandwich. The sausage platter came with two sausages of your choice (he chose currywurst and double smoked beefwurst) and heaping pile of apple sauerkraut and potato salad. Everything was really delicious. The sandwich was slightly too mushy for me, but still very tasty. I will try something else next time. After our meal, we decided to try one of the cake slices. It has multiple thin moist layers and just plain delicious... I wish I had taken a picture or remember the name. Anyways, we plan to be back soon and probably bring friends and family cause ... well, share good things!

This place is awesome! My husband and I decided to come here after reading the positive yelp reviews and thought we would give it a try. My husband is a lover of German and European food since he spent six years living in Germany. He's been on the look out for some authentic brats and German food. This place does not disappoint! This place is located on Baymeadows in a shopping center next to cafe kabob(which I have yet to try), As soon as we walked in, the guy behind the counter (whom I assume is the owner) welcomed us in and and asked us if it was our first time there. He gave a little introduction about all the items on their menu and the popular dishes and how most of the items they have including the yummy desserts are made in house. My husband ordered the the sampler which consisted of the currywurst, the bavarian bratwurst, apple saurkraut, and german potato salad. I ordered a reuben with french fries. Our food was cooked to order and brought to our table and they make the currywurst sauce in house. The currywurst sauce is popular in germany especially on pom frites (french fries). The food was awesome, my reuben was grilled panini style and had a generous amount of corned beef. My fries was just right- extra crispy and seasoned well. My husband loved his sampler, everything on his plate reminded him of Germany, there potato salad reminded me of potato soup with ham flavor- really good! Overall the experience was positive, the place was nice and quaint. The owner was so pleasant to talk to and very attentive. He made sure we were enjoying our food and if we needed anything. I definitely recommend this place and will definitely be going back to try their homemade european desserts!

This place is neatly tucked in the corner of a small shopping strip mall. At first I was a bit hesitant to come here given the name sausage paradise because as other yelpers have mentioned it does sound like a male strip club lol but it really is good food. As always I like to mention prices, their lunch menu options (served all day) are very fair and they have a variety of sandwiches and to make it a combo is very inexpensive. The man behind the counter was very friendly and was even willing to do the potato salad instead of fries for the combo. That a plus in my book! The food was very good. My husband got their monte cristo which was quite tasty. Not fried, and my only wish was that they would put the jelly in the sandwich instead of on the side but I could see others liking this option. My sandwich was just as good. The day we went they had apple and strawberry turnovers which were $1.50 a piece! Pretty good price better than publix! And they were tasty, I would know because I got one bite while my family devoured the rest! Now their dinner prices are a bit more expensive and while I did pay the $10 for a full serving of pierogies they did seem to be a small portion for the price but they were tasty as well. I say give the place a try and you just might find yourself going back! :-)

Sometimes living in Jacksonville has disadvantages... like not having a lot of cultural food places. So it's nice to see untypical restaurants, serving foods that you can't get at other places. Sausage Paradise sells lots of things you wont find typically in Jacksonville. I had a double smoked sausage, and added sauteed onions and sauerkraut. Both of these toppings were at no additional cost. The smell of the restaurant and that sausage, reminded me a lot of "back home", where we had a lot of German and Swedish foods, (Pennsylvania Dutch). The restaurant was very clean. The workers were very friendly, and checked on me more than once even though it's not a full service restaurant. They have a small deli case where you can buy sliced meats. There were a variety of hot sauces available, and tables had a ketchup style bottle filled with currywurst sauce. According to Wikipedia, it's a mix of ketchup and curry powder. The restaurant wasn't very busy when I arrived at 11:30am on a Monday. I assume that's ONLY because McDonalds blocks the view of the restaurant from the road. I didn't know the place existed even though I pass that area all of the time. I only came across it because of Yelp [thank God for Yelp :-) ]. I look forward to returning and trying their sandwiches!!

We have tried Sausage Paradise twice and liked it both times. First time I tried their platter and ordered Currywurst and Double Smoked Beef Sausages. They were both excellent. The second time, I ordered the pelmeni on their new menu, and it was quite good. I am pretty excited to see they have perokies on their new menu as well and will have to go back and give it a try. Also, both times, the staff was really friendly. Multiple times they come around to ask how we liked the food. They have a small dessert case as well. We tried a few items and were impressed by how light and delicious the cake was. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and would go back again.

Totally blown away by this place! My husband got the sausage sampler and was silent the entire time he was eating it, which for him means that it's so amazingly good that his entire focus is on it. I had the monte Cristo sandwich; the bread, meat, and cheese were perfect. My only minor complaint is that the jelly came on the side as opposed to on the sandwich. But seriously all of the food was on point and my husband wants to come here everyday now. Can't wait for round 2!

CLOSED! hidden, but worth the scavenger hunt! the deceiving exterior conceals a quaint interior, good food and service only equal to the enthusiasm and devotion of this family owned restaurant. Quick well priced lunch, and interesting dinner specials I'll have to venture to try...

Tried the pierogi which came kielbasa and it was delicious. They also have a full plate of 7 or a smaller portion of 4. Like the options. I will definitely be back again for the stuffed cabbage. Yum. There is a sausage sampler plate which I also think is a cool idea and am sure I will try them all eventually. Highly recommended.

Went for lunch today and I was impressed. They have only been open for a few days but everything was great. Food was hot, fast, and delicious. I had a sausage sample that included the Nuremberg smoked (was their special of the day) the Bavarian Bratwurst and it came with a side of German potato salad and apple sauerkraut. First off the sausages were excellent, especially the Nuremberg smoked. The potato salad was really good as well and, while I've never been a big fan of sauerkraut, the apple sauerkraut was pretty good. I'll certain be going back.

After coming here a few times I can confidently say the staff is awesome. They are friendly and actually want you to enjoy the time your in their restaurant. Unfortunately I have not tried any of the sausages but their soup and subs are great. The hunter stew is fantastic. They have a lunch sub/soup special and for $8.50 it's difficult to find a better meal

This place was awesome. Service was efficient and food was brought out to us very quickly. Overall quality was excellent. Sausage platter was well portioned, included 2 super well made sausages and a German potato salad to die for. Surprised to see no one in the place during dinner time. Highly Recommend.

I had visited this establishment after a meal at one of my favorite restaurants next door and had planned to come for lunch or dinner very soon. Well, today was the day and I'm so glad I did. Upon reviewing the menu, it was really hard to decide between a sausage or one of the many great looking sandwiches. However, when I saw the corned beef and pastrami (New York Deli) I didn't look any further. This is my absolute favorite sandwich combination and I had to have it. My friend then asked if I had seen the Hunters Stew on the menu. After reading the description, I thought to myself that it looked pretty darn good. The gentleman taking our order offered a sample and I immediately accepted. First taste in and I told him to add a bowl to my order. As we waited for our meal, I decided to take a quick look around. Although this place isn't huge, it's very accommodating. Seating was plentiful. It was also very clean, including the restrooms. Clean restrooms are always a positive for me. The gentleman taking our order brought my meal pretty quickly. My soup was piping hot and loaded with tons of sausage (5 different varieties), veggies and potatoes. Man was that some good stew/soup!!! However, it was so hearty I could only eat half of a half of my sandwich. That half was some kind of tasty, though! The panini was loaded with corned beef, pastrami, spicy mustard, provolone cheese and ONIONS. They didn't skimp at all with this sandwich as you can plainly see from the photo. This is a real deli and you can even order sausages and deli meat to take home. I will most definitely be back because those sausages were calling my name. Definitely a TREAT!
