me and my boyfriend went to this restaurant tonight and it was very good! food was great, we had an appetizer, a beer, (other then it was a ridiculous price) the wonderful salad bar. my boyfriend had the hickory bourbon chicken and he was very impressed, I had the classic burger, cooked to perfection with sweet potato fries. the hostess and bartender were super great! I hated that it was this slow though, I wished it was busier!

An absolute ripoff restaurant. An order for crabcakes and salad turned into just crabcakes. The salad never arrived and no excuse was offered. I will not return to be defrauded again.

Food is OK. They keep changing the menu but really haven't gotten it right yet. Hostesses aren't very good. Servers are better. The drink specials ONLY at the bar is a crock. Not sure why we keep giving them another chance. Just OK!!!

I don't typically go to chain restaurants but I had time to spare before I had to pick up my friend at the Jacksonville Airport. I remember them having a good salad bar with diverse green choices and add on selections. I sat in the bar and got the salad bar and enjoyed a little football and catch up on emails. My server was wonderful. She was attentive, but also gave me my space knowing I would be there for a little over an hour. There was free wifi which was a bonus at that time. The salad bar was what I remembered. Mixed greens, lettuce, spinach, lima beans, onions, zucchini, broccoli, carrots, potato salad, pasta salad, olives, mushrooms, bacon, ham and a number of dressing choices. At 8.99, not bad. Had a good experience. The only challenge was finding a way onto the frontage road to get there.

Food is good but kitchen staff a distraction. Hostess is clueless put me in the first tiny booth at entry to the bar... Why would you seat someone right in the passageway where everybody (staff and customers) has to walk when the restaurant is mostly empty? I moved myself. I came in carrying a box of files and a computer and it was obvious that I needed to do some work yet she placed me in the tiniest table the restaurant has to offer while there are only a couple table seated in the entire place. That is just laziness and poor training. Food was good, salad bar fresh and clean. Not super fast but not slow either. Server was nice and attentive enough. Loud cooks yelling at each other in the kitchen, can't tell if they are joking or not. They are hard to understand its a male and female yelling in Jacksonvile ghettoese... Typical Jacksonville ... Guess you have to find staff somewhere.

Our entries were brought out as we were starting to eat our salad. Then to top it off they were wrong, but waitress was attentive

Your average chain restaurant. The food is decent and the service has never been bad for me. They are constantly giving out discounts by mail and I enjoy that. I'm surprised this listing has gotten such low ratings. I've never had a bad experience. They don't have a huge selection of beer and their wine by glass is priced very high.

We ate here before flying out of Jacksonville. I've been to Ruby Tuesday before, but this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. The restaurant was not full, but yet we hardly saw our server. Our food came out luke warm and lacked seasoning. I had ordered a side of spaghetti squash, and asked for a side of parmesan cheese to sprinkle over it. After asking three times, it finally showed up to the table after we had already paid our bill. I've never had such horrible service in my life, especially not in a restaurant that wasn't even busy. Next time I'm in town, I'd eat from the vending machine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner before I ever eat there again.

Hope you are ready to flag someone down when you want a drink...at the bar! This place is empty and I have had to ask for each beer, not mad just disappointed.

Wish there was a way to give 1/2 stars then it would be rated by me as 3 1/2. I have always enjoyed their salad bar, it is always fresh, but the other food is bland and OK. Mom and I went to get a quick bite and even though there were dozens of empty tables, our hostess tried to seat us in the bar --- not a place for us. Others may find that perfectly okay, but we rather not, especially since there was lots of others to choose from. But, the hostess was quick to find us another table, by the window and much more comfy. We ordered a small steak and their "smoky mountain chicken". The steak and chicken was both cooked very good. The sides could have been better, my baked potato was not hot and my mom's rice was crunchy --- she replaced hers with mashed potatoes and they brought out a very hot potato for me. So, that earned a good service point. The manager when we were seated was over at another table apologizing for the soggy chips on their app. (Not a good sign for us). They were given a second app and the first was taken off their bill. Another good service point. The bathroom was a mess and stinky. Point taken away. We are not in a hurry to return.

I'm staying in the hotels by Duval Road near the airport. I chose Ruby Tuesday because I knew what to expect. Taking nothing away from Longhorn next door. The bar area has many TVs and it's NCAA Tournament Time. Good service and good food. RT has this hangup with ketchup that they being you a little cup. I always have to ask for more as a ketchup eating freak. Other than that it's more than acceptable.

Was pretty good. Had the fire wings, which by the way had no fire in them. They had good flavor though. And I had a salad from the salad bar. Overall was pretty good.

Ruby Tuesday's is one of the few chain restaurants that I enjoy. Their salad bar is always fresh and clean. Their dishes are yummy and unique as well. This location has been updated and looks crisp, clean, and new!

After our last adventure at Ruby Tuesday located at 1360 Airport Rd. Jacksonville, Florida 32218 on 10/05/2013and complaining about the service to Corporate I received an email response and phone call from the owner asking us to give them another chance. They sent us a coupon for a free meal good until 01/08/2014. We decided to give them another chance to see if the there had been any improvement. My wife ordered Lobster and Shrimp w/ mashed potatoes and spaghetti squash. I had Chicken Bella w/ zucchini and the salad bar. When the food arrived my wife's side dishes were stone cold. My Chicken and zucchini was sitting in a puddle of liquid, which did not surprise me since presentation has never been a strong suit for many of these types of eateries. Our waitress Sherill returned to check on us and I informed her about the side dishes. She apologized and took the plate back to the kitchen. She brought the plate back and instead of replacing the side dishes the kitchen just microwaved them to a point where the mashed potatoes had just spread all over the plate. A few moments later the Manager arrived and apologized for the issue and I explained the microwave problem and what should have happened. He agreed and offered to get new side dishes. That would have been fine except for the fact that by doing so would have meant the lobster and shrimp would have been ice cold or microwaved as well. My wife chose to go with the microwaved items. Our waitress was very caring and professional. The manager was on top of the issue as soon as he was informed. The problem seems to be a lack of communication between staff and management which has not been resolved. In my opinion, this is what should have happened. Firstly, hot food should never, ever leave the kitchen cold. Secondly, the side dishes should have been replaced instead of microwaved. We gave them another chance and they failed again. We will not be back!!! They are too many other options out there...

"Southwest salad quesadilla combo" is just a quesadilla with a trip to the salad bar.

If there is one thing that is absolutely essential to the service industry it is service. Unfortunately, this evening dinner lacked service and well, palatable food. But, the story doesn't begin there. Turn the clock back to about 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. We were deciding on what we wanted for dinner and the idea of lobster came up. But, we didn't want to spend a lot of money. So, recalling a recent television commercial, we made a decision. Ruby Tuesday opened their first restaurant near the campus of the University of Tennessee in 1972. Since then they have expanded to nearly 900 restaurants across the country and globally. Recently the restaurant chain updated its menu and added what they call Chef Inspired Specials. They also made their salad bar part of most dinner offerings instead of an up-charged option. New menu items include Asiago Peppercorn Steak, Cajun Jambalaya Chicken, and lobster tails with steak, shrimp and crab cakes, and lobster mac and cheese. We visited the Ruby Tuesday located at 1360 Airport Road in Jacksonville, Florida. We arrived around 5:30 and were seated nearly immediately. The restaurant was not busy and in the section we were sitting there were only two other tables with guests. As I sat I noticed that the seat was cracked and a bit worn, but not so much that the seat's stuffing showed through. As we perused the menus, we waited for our server to come take our drink orders. And waited, and waited, and waited. Fully ten minutes after we were seated our server finally came to our table. By that time we had decided on our meals - I ordered the Petite Filet (medium rare) and Lobster Tail dinner, my companion order the Shellfish Trio which included skewered shrimp and a crab cake. For sides we both ordered the salad bar, I decided on the white cheddar mashed potatoes and my companion opted for steamed broccoli. We gave our drink orders and the server told us she would bring us cheddar, garlic biscuits with our drinks and that we were welcome to go to the salad bar. Upon approaching the salad bar the first thing I noticed was that some of the iceberg lettuce was browned on the edges, the field greens were wilted as was the spinach. I also noticed that the refrigeration unit above the greens was dripping condensation onto the lettuce. Further down the salad bar, the plate that was supposed to have sliced tomatoes on it was completely empty. I asked the manager to get more and several minutes later - as I stood waiting - fresh tomatoes arrived. Salads in hand, we returned to our seat expecting our drinks to have arrived while we were away from the table, they had not. Again we waited. Halfway through our salads I got up to find our server to ask about our drinks, another server saw me and asked if she could help. I explained the situation, a few minutes later our server brought our drinks and a plate of three biscuits. She made a big deal about how the biscuits were very hot because she was waiting for them to come out of the oven - this also served as her excuse as to why our drinks were so late. The biscuits were not hot; in fact they were barely warm. The biscuits are described as garlic cheddar biscuits; they came to our table as small, flat disks with flecks of cheese and garlic evident in them. The taste, however, was overly sweet almost like shortbread with a heavy garlic flavor. When our entrées arrived it was immediately apparent that there was something wrong with my steak. It appeared to have been seared properly, but it was overly wet as if it had been doused with water. The lobster was equally unappetizing and still somewhat translucent. When I cut into the smallish tail it became obvious that it was not cooked through. The mashed potatoes were not hot, but were tasty. My companion's lobster looked better; it was cooked through but was still a bit tough. Her shrimp were large and well cooked, but the crab cake was thin and had slightly too much mayonnaise in it. I asked to speak with the manager and sent my entire entrée back. The manager removed it from our bill and offered to replace it with something else. I declined, but did thank him for the gesture. My companion finished her meal and we asked for the bill. And again, we waited. The wait got so long that I again got up and took our check to the bartender to get it rung out. Our experience at Ruby Tuesday was not as we would have liked it to be. The service was very slow and inattentive, the salad bar was poorly maintained, and the much-touted special lobster dinner was sub-par and ill-prepared. It was a bad night for the Ruby Tuesday near the Jacksonville airport. Perhaps on a future visit more attention will be paid by the servers and kitchen staff. Service is friendly as could be. Food is fresh and what one might expect at a Ruby Tuesday. I like that is close to the airport area, and as always, the salad is a great option.

It's really too bad that between the changes made by corporate that has killed what was once one of the best salad bars, to the always changing menus and policies and completely inconsistent food quality and tiny portion sizes...that this my once favorite must be buried with the has beens. Ruby Tuesday...is anyone listening? If you want to only cater to the airport traveler/mall rat, you are perfecting it!

nice and convenient location to the local hotels and airport. we walked over from the Hampton Inn next door, but Ruby Tuesday does have a big parking lot if you're driving. the service was friendly and attentive. i got the shellfish trio (crab cake, lobster tail, grilled shrimp) and the artichoke dip. the drinks and orders were taken quickly and the food came out hot pretty quickly. the salad bar looked good too, but i really felt like some seafood, so i skipped it. the artichoke dip was delicious and the chips it came with were nice and crispy. my seafood came with 2-sides so i got a backed potato and grilled zucchini. everything was delicious and we happily left with full bellies. Ruby Tuesday is a good place to come for some quick, good, hot food without spending a lot.

Was meeting friends flying in from NY that had stopover for three hours for next flight so looked for a close place for them to meet; anyway drinks really sucked; this bartender rank's# 1 in U.S. for making a drink wrong four times in a row for two people=8 screw-ups; Guinness record for sure! Food was OK, served quick, and priced fairly, and waitress was OK; colorful interesting menu; I was surprised of good quality of steak.

I go here every time I go home for a visit. I love the Oreo Tall Cake and they have this blackened chicken salad (cannot for the life of me remember the name of it) but it rocks. My kids love to go here too and like that they have several yummy choices. When I go back down to visit the parental units I am sure I will be eating here again.

The LDC flew in today and she suggested we eat lunch at Ruby T's near the airport. She surprised me with the request, she's not usually that decisive. Maybe she thought I'd like to further my debate with them in the blue crab cake fiasco. But I wasn't in the mood to argue over ingredients, I was too happy to see her. We both chose the salad bar, that sounded non-confrontational. Glancing at the lunch menu, I noticed that for one dollar more ($8.99), we could add a chicken pot pie. What a deal, but only if you're hungry enough to take advantage of it. The (3 star) salad bar included a nice variety of greens and fresh veggies. One thing I missed seeing was nib-let corn. Everything looked and was very fresh, but then, we were the first customers of the morning. The pot pie wasn't a pie at all. It was puffed pastry with a heaping serving of cubed white meat, peas, celery, onion and carrots in a light cream sauce placed on it's center. The pastry was better to me than the filling but I give the combination 2.5 stars. Never again. Service was friendly and attentive. Ruby T's is a chain and I wouldn't order their fried shrimp, but they seem better than average of the food chain, chains.
