The best Chinese food in Jacksonville. Husband and Wife who run the restaurant are super friendly, remember what you like when you call in. Try the Cold Sesame noodles, just like New York City. We moved to a new home but still drive back for their food!! They are worth the drive in a city starved for decent Chinese food.

Great food and fastest delivery ever. Had the Beef with Broccoli and Kung Po Chicken. Excellent. My new Chinese joint in the my new part of town I live in.

Panda House is a great locally owned Chinese Food restaurant. Evelyn and her husband live in the area and put their hearts and souls into the restaurant. The food is great and priced so that it is also a great value. Try the Kung Pao Special or the Beef with Mushrooms. These are two of our favorites.

What a great place!! I've only had delivery from this restaurant. I'm in Jacksonville on business and this is the only restaurant I've actually ordered from for delivery. The food is excellent. The House Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles and Vegetable Egg Foo Young are excellent. Nice staff.

Pretty good Chinese. It took over 45 min to get here when they said it would take 15-20. My hubs sesame chicken was "ok" and my boneless ribs combo was delicious. The fried rice, eggrolls and crab rangoons were all less than exciting. The flavors were all very bland and we had to add lots of sauces to doctor them up. Probably will go back to Chiba Wok on Baymeadows instead next time.

great chinese food if you're looking for the authentic dive spot. As a New Yorker, I often find my standards for classic, cheap and "americanized" Chinese and Mexican food sky high where ever I go. However, Panda House was just the place I was looking for the other night. not an 100% inviting setting- it's definitely a take-out kinda place [but so delicious just the same]. So cute to see the whole family in there- the two older sisters supervising the younger two eat at a table while mom and dad, grandma and grandpa[?] work in the kitchen. if you're ever feelin a hangover or just want some authentic cheap Chinese food. this is the place!

OK, let's get this out of the way first: Panda House is a hole in the wall. I mean, it really is. You can easily drive pass the strip mall it's in and never see it. It's ultra tiny and the signage is nothing to brag about either. But now that I've said that upfront, that's about the only thing you're going to find wrong with this place. As some of the other Yelpers on Panda House have noted, the food there is above average. Seriously above average. I say that as someone who, in general, is not a big fan of Chinese food at all. I actually walked into Panda House thinking this situation would be terrible. I went home with my Hunan Family Special and was immediately quieted. The rice, the steak, the chicken, the shrimp, everything was fantastic. The staffers are pleasant and work quietly and quickly. The restaurant itself is off the beaten path so you'll never have a problem finding solid parking and the prices are typical for Chinese food. I guess the owners of this place figure they don't have to have a fancy-looking spot and would rather pour their talents into the food.

The best Chinese delivery in jax. Food is good. Reasonably priced. They have some great vegetarian options. For meat eaters, the chicken looks high quality.

I decided to try this place based on the reviews. I'm from NY and this is not NY Chinese. Maybe I got them on a bad day but the food was okay. Probably won't reorder from here. My husband got the bourbon chicken which tasted like it was cooked with bbq sauce, the rice had a weird taste to it and the steamed dumplings had the thickest dough I have ever seen.

Best Chinese food in the area. Fast delivery and the best eggrolls ever

A true hidden gem of a place for lunch. I mean as far as cheap chinese foods goes, you can't beat $5.30 lunch special. I've tried pretty much every thing on the lunch special menu. I work nearby so I've become quite a regular. My go-to is the shrimp/chicken schezuan or hunan, orange chicken, or chicken with broccoli...so delicious! This is owned by a really friendly chinese family. The wife is super nice and her husband is the chef...so you know you're getting good food. Next time you're near the towncenter area give this place a try!

We ate here for the first time, based on all the Yelp reviews - and they were definitely spot on! As ex-New Yorkers, we are very particular about Chinese food because there are so many great asian restaurants in that part of the world. We were pleased to meet the owners, and although originally from Hong Kong, they moved to Jacksonville from Queens, NY. Now you're talking! We had despaired of ever finding a Chinese place that makes Shrimp Toast or Cold Sesame Noodles, but they are on the menu here. Although it is mostly a takeout storefront kind of place, we sat at a table and ate dinner. Of course, we ordered the cold sesame noodles as an appetizer and were extremely happy with them. Dinners were a couple of the dinner combos, and we were glad to find that Panda House knows how to make a really good egg roll - something else that is a disappointment in the typical Jacksonville chinese place. These were crispy, not oily, with the perfect blend of vegetables and red-cooked pork. Overall, very high quality and friendly / family staff. This is now our go-to Chinese restaurant.

Excellent food. No MSG! Order the sea and land eggplant. Its awesome! Best hot and sour soup in Jacksonville. They deliver in the area but its worth the drive to pick it up

I went out of my way for decent taki outie. The staff appears to treat you like their doing you a favor by enduring your business, but this I found to be cultural, and the owner over time seemed to have a good heart. Sadly the last time I picked up, I called back to express my disappointment with the quality of my order, it was meet with a curt "and?" Well I ventured on the wild side again, and sadly again I was very dissatisfied with the quality of my meal. Sorry to say, two strikes baby!

Whenever my wife and I are in the mood for takeout Chinese, we order from Panda House - and we live over in Jax Beach. The drive is worth it for the solid & consistent food. If you're looking for a wide-ranging menu review, I can't help you - I eat Chinese takeout as comfort food: beef & broccoli and teryaki chicken every time - and Panda House nails it. Order time is reasonable in my experience - I'll typically order, hop in the car, and by the time I'm there, my food is ready within the next 5 minutes or so.

it's great as everybody says! Finally found decent Chinese place! I ordered Moo Goo Gai pan ( chicken and veges in white sauce ) which I order whenever I take out some Chinese food. So I compared to all the other places I've been to here is the best one! The kids there gave me friendly smile, which I rarely get at Chinese places.. I'm so happy to find this place!

I must confess, I'm kinda a Chinese take out junkie. I always order the same few things thus it's not difficult for me to make judgement on a place for my returned business. Not only do I enjoy the tasty grub from this eatery I appreciate their honesty as well. Yesterday I came in to order the norm, this time I had an additional two orders to add to it. I paid and waited for my order not thinking twice about it. Upon receiving the grub I was approached by an extremely polite woman who was apologetic and explained to me that I was overcharged. She printed two copies of the corrected amount assuring me the mistake had been corrected and to keep the corrected receipt in case there was an issue. She didn't have to bring this to my attention, and I would have never noticed it. But I am grateful for her honesty and I will continue to dine here with confidence that they truly appreciate my business!

Panda House has very quickly become my favorite Chinese food in Jax. I now regularly crave the cold sesame noodles (which I only tried because of so many reviews raving about them). The serving sizes are generous for the price, which means one order means multiple meals for me. I haven't used their delivery (seems to be a common complaint on here) but I get take out each time and food is typically ready within 20 minutes of ordering. I've yet to find another place with quality Chinese food that is fast and cheap in any part of town!

Love this place! They're lunch specials are great and convenient to my job! I was shocked at how good the food is since the price is so cheap! I got a shrimp and broccoli lunch is Amazing and the portions are great!!

Looking for some takeout one night, my fiancee and I settled on this place after reading some favorable reviews. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. When I arrived, I could not help but notice the poor condition of the restaurant itself - I'm glad we were not eating in, as it would not have been a pleasant dine-in experience. I called ahead for my order, and when I arrived, pickup was delayed by the cashier arguing with a customer over the phone about giving a refund or free meal based on their dissatisfaction. Not a great first time customer experience. After finally taking the food home fresh, we were unfortunately underwhelmed. We had some chicken fried rice and general's chicken. The general's chicken was mostly sauce and breading, and the fried rice chicken was very stringy and oddly shaped. You're better off going to Pei Wei or Panda Express at the nearby Town Center.

Worst pan fried chicken noodles I have ever eaten. The meat tasted old. The chicken was very soft and didn't have the right texture to it. The seafood plater was good. This restaurant is in a strip mall and only has 4 tables in it. This place is more like a to-go restaurant type of thing.

Craving for chinese and not motivated to cook dinner... I read about this and was excited as its so close to my house! It took over an hour and the food wasn't hot when it arrived(we had it delivered). We had a variety of items and quite honestly Panda Express is better.. But I usually love authentic Chinese takeout! Plus I didn't like the yellow fried rice to begin with. I'm going to keep searching for a better chinese place close to home!

I have never written a restaurant review, and I hate to hurt someone's business, but I read the reviews praising the food, there was even comparisons to New York Chinese food. I was born in Brooklyn in 1945, Chinese food is my expertise, there is even a dish named for me in a New Jersey restaurant. That being said, I'm not sure what kind of food this is, but is certainly not Chinese Food. I have never thrown Chinese Food away, but this was the worst food I have ever tasted This review is strictly for people who really like Chinese Food, this is not it I have warned you

Just moved here and this is definitely my go to for Chinese!! Wonton soup was so good, pork egg roll was delicious and not greasy. Dinner special chicken and broccoli was plenty of food, brown sauce was very good!! Owners are very friendly, definitely make going back there an easy decision. **no longer open on Sundays!!**

We drove an extra 10 miles just to see if the reviews were true. I'm glad that this time they were dead on the money. We ordered fried chicken wings w/shrimp fried rice, general tso chicken w/shrimp fried rice, sesame chicken w/shrimp fried rice and chicken noodle soup. I don't do the Chinese chicken noodle soup but everything else was great. The freshest chicken that I've had in jacksonville hands down.

I wanted to try this place because of the cold sesame noodles. They were delicious, coated in a mixture of peanut butter and soy sauce. I also enjoyed the tofu with mixed veggies and egg roll. This is your standard Chinese take out place. I would return if I were in the area, I wish it were closer to my home, I would order from here often! The parking is a bit of nightmare, a lot of aggressive do not park here and towing signs, I'm not sure if there is parking in the back. Anyway, if you live in the neighborhood and like Chinese takeout, this is a winner.

This by far is the BEST Chinese take out food in Jax.. Little bit of seating, but mostly take out. Was reading the reviews and had to try. I had the chicken and cashews combo dinner. It was so fresh and with so much flavor. Egg roll was awesome. Friendly staff and food was ready in 15 minutes.

Food was good but I don't think it was worth the hour I spent waiting in the restaurant for it as a to-go order. Kudos to the employees they definitely work their butt off but with the influx of orders coming in, it was a long wait for food and the lady who works the register just seems overwhelmed and annoyed. Food was good though a little pricey for your typical small Chinese joint though.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
