After several visits to this restaurant I like to call it my Mexican Home for the following reasons: #1 - Frozen Margaritas are right out of a Stir / Icee machine but are Fantastic and it actually has tequila in it. #2 - Fajitas - I prefer the steak which comes to your table HOT and SIZZLIN' and great flavor with fresh sides included #3 - Service sometimes gets a bit behind during busy times but that's an issue that they can easily correct by training the servers a little better. #4 - The best bargain on the menu to me pricewise is the Tacos - 3 Tacos loaded with toppings and the price is way below what you would expect for what you get. Wife and I visit here sometimes 3 times a month and so far have not been unhappy enough to stop going so I will give it 4 stars and order another Margarita

Back again for the second time! Im still impressed! I ordered the Tacos Especial. Coming as close as they could to the Mexican food in Cali, I also had to order guacamole and pico de gallo on the side so I could add it to my tacos. Sadly they dont make the carne asada burrito, but Im sure I could have had them special made. Our waiter was professional and courteous! Our thanks for his service! This place is as close as Im gonna get to my Hometown Mexican cuisine, but it will always be a place I could go for a good meal. Good Job Ole!!

I love this place! They have authentic Mexican food. The frozen drinks are delicious and you're fortunate enough to be Thur and Sat they're on special! The fajitas come sizzling to your table and are on special Mondays. Excellent customer service was even told about looking for coupons and specials available in the Mint magazine. Live music on the weekend.

I love Ole and have to stop in a few times a month. Sooo much better than La Nop or the other Mexican joints in town. Choose your own size potent margaritas, beer specials and live music on the weekend makes this our favorite place to chow down. Carne asada, fajitas and ceviche are just beyond delicious and enormous portions.

I've been there twice and both times the food was great. I'm planning to make this my standard Mexican place for near home dining. I had their Fajita Taco Salad -- awesome.

Definitely the spot for good FAST mexican food. Their lunch menu is great! Available even on Saturday. I always get the queso with the chips and salsa. Heck, I'd only eat that if I could. They have a great menu with tons of variety and right in the price range to be better than fast food.

The person sitting next to me had a bug in their queso. It happens, but despite the 'bug', horrible service. Food was -ok- nothing to talk about.

I love Ole's because the food comes out quick and it's surprisingly delicious. They also have decent customer service and stiff margaritas. I've had everything from their fajitas, nachos, to the tomales, enchiladas, chile rellano, wings and my absolute favorite... The carnitas!!! Their pork is fall apart tender and has a better taste than other Mexican restaurants that I've tried. Their location is convenient sitting right on Atlantic Blvd with parking in the front and rear. No matter the time of day that I've came here they're consistently good, and I love consistency. If you're in the Arlington area and you're looking for stiff drinks, flavorful food and a relaxing dining experience than Ole's is the place to be. They also have karaoke here some nights, I've came a few times when I was feeling social but it's not my thing all the time. Happy Yelping...

This is my go to spot with my Co workers. Their margaritas will have you off your butt and are really decently priced. As for food I've only gotten the fajitas and the enchiladas which are always yummy and super fresh. I like the staff cause they're always very friendly. Haven't had a bad time here yet. I also LOVEE that doorstep delivery is connected with them.

The food is great but management was not very helpful. We came with family and there was a discrepancy with the bill and the manager did not try to help and was very rude. My sister in law will never eat there again and it was her first time dining there.

The chicken fajitas and enchiladas were really good. However the enchilada dinners do not comes with rice and beans but you can order them A La Carte the rice and beans are yummy!

A good place to try, I ordered the Seafood Fajita and was just OK with it. It wasn't what I was looking for as they don't have a Platilo del Mar, my wife ordered a large combo platter and was very happy with it. The service was very good and prompt we will go back to try different items in the future.

I come here every time I am home in Jacksonville...much to the despair of my liver... It is definitely a dive restaurant, cuisine wise.Their food is mediocre but your taste buds can hardly tell once you get a margarita or two in you! But the food does do the job of helping to absorb the tequila. If you plan to have a margarita though you WILL need a designated driver. I swear they are the strongest margaritas in Jax. And super CHEAP during happy hour. The staff is always friendly- and seeing as I always show up with my large and very loud family, that is saying a lot. I don't know how they put up with so many drunk people all the time.

I can't lie. I LOVE mexican food! There are only 2 places so far that I go to for mexican food in jax and it's Ole! And one other place. I'm usually the person that orders the same thing at every mexican resturant (sadly but I know what I like/crave) and tonight I tried something different, I built my own plate with a chicken (you can tell it's marinated) and bean burrito, cheese enchilada and rice and beans. I was so happy with it! So yummy. My husband is also guilty of ordering the same thing even being Dominican lol but he gets the chicken quesadillas and Ole makes them how they should be made! We always order a large thing of queso because why not right?! And honestly there magaritas are WAY to GOOD to not get. I always get the strawberry and mango mix (plus they are frozen and kept in cool icee machines) if your looking for a strong drink to be way pasted buzzed on just 1 you should try here. They are busy sometimes but that's what happens when you have great food but there is always seating and they offer outside seat as well. Gotta try.

I've been craving authentic Mexican food for a week and was highly disappointed when I tried LaNopalera on Atlantic...I walked almost two get to Ole and must say we were extremely satisfied with the food and the service is outstanding!! We will most definitely come again...

Ole is very nice. I had the carne asada...The place was clean and staff is very friendly. As far as the food, it was very good for the price and tasted very well. The meat was seasoned very well. The quality of the steak could have been better but for what you pay, I would not ask for any better. It seemed to me that the food is made and put into some type of warmer. It did not look like it was cooked on the spot. The waiting time was less than 5 minutes, so if you are in a rush, this is a good place. Overall, a good experience. Not at the top of my list but not at the bottom either. I would come back and try it again.

This is the BEST mexican restaurant I've ever been too, in any state. Food is always good and Fast sevice. I always get the quesadilla. You will love this place

I'm a Texan and have lived in California and visited Mexico several times so my standards on Mexican food are high. I've been on the hunt for decent Mexican food ever since I lived in Florida since 2007. Still looking... My aunt and I ordered different things and we both agreed everything was bland. The tamales, the beef tacos and the flautas. I try lowering my standards, but still. Never going back. The margaritas tasted like bleach or something chemically artificial. Service was alright. Dude wasn't too friendly.

I had come here the first day when i moved to jacksonville from upnorth. The food was authentic and excellent then, so it is now, Margarita's kicking so is the food. Love it - recommend it- will be back

Olé is one of my staple restaurants in Arlington / Regency because of its value and consistency. Their prices are very reasonable, $8 - $13 for nearly every entree, and their portion sizes are very generous - even for a big guy like me. With that being said, there's nothing fancy or exceptional about the food; it's very standard, but very good, Mexican food. Think enchiladas, chimichangas, burritos, etc. But I have never been disappointed with the food. It's always *good*. They also have a good selection of drinks and margaritas, and good happy hour specials. The service is pretty good as well, but nothing to write home about. I earnestly recommend this place for a casual lunch or dinner, or drinks with friends.

Good prices for really good Mexican food! Large portions. Their fresh tortilla chips are light and crispy. Happy hour Margaritas are good for the price. Top shelf Margaritas are only $10. Decent selection of beer. Good size parking lot unless you come on Cinco de Mayo then you'll have to park at the business park next door.

Aside from parking being scarce, everything is amazing! Food comes out fast, great music, family atmosphere, nice outside eating area and to top it off its family owned and operated. I had the pollo loco and my friends had steak fajitas all of which were on par! Thank you for a great time! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the parking situation..

Pretty mediocre Mexican. This is your standard Mexican chain but the queso dip isn't as good as most and the food is just okay. Atmosphere and service are decent. Good specials are its only saving grace.

Been here with my wife several times and they never let us down. we've been to fancier mexican restaurants and all we did was pay more for less food that's not better tasting. the service is always fast and friendly, even on crowded nights when they have live music or karaoke we're always seated and have our drinks and meals brought out to us with little wait.

The service was slow. They didn't have basic cheese dip, it had jalapenos. The cooks/waiters just come out of the kitchen and stare at pretty women. I would recommend it. Salsa is only thing descent at best.

Ole is a little more on the ambitious side as far as indie Mexican places go. Don't get me wrong, its definitely not fancy, just fairly large and they do things like have music on the weekends to set themselves apart. I appreciate the effort and think that it helps make up for some of its less than stellar characteristics. While I find their food to be a little more bland than La Nop, its definitely good, and again, just a tad less casual. I wasn't really impressed with the margaritas, but their fajitas are good--generous portion and seared perfectly. All in all, Ole is a nice place, and while not my favorite, it does beat out a lot of the other Mexican options in Jax.

The staff was friendly and the All-You-Can-Eat menu enticed my husband. However the service was slow and the food left something to be desired. We are Texans, so Tex-Mex and Mexican food have high standards for us. This place wasn't horrible, but we probably won't eat there again because we just know of better locations for Mexican food.

Fantastic service, very attentive. The food was tasty and plentiful. Authentic TexMex. Salsa was terrific. As good as my homemade and very fresh. Chips were served warm. I had the chicken fajitas and couldn't finish them. Really enough food for 2 people. Hubby had the combo plate with 2 burritos. HUGE plates. Huge amount of food! LOL! They have daily specials on food and drinks. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville. Worth the drive from anywhere in town!

If you have kids, you MUST take them to Ole on a Tuesday night!! Kids eat free every Tuesday and they have clowns there doing face paint and making balloon shapes. My son ADORES the clowns. The fajitas are amazing and they give you unlimited chips and salsa. The staff is all friendly and are all very nice to the kids. I would definitely recommend :)

My husband and oldest son loved what they ordered--Enchiladas Verde. I thought the food was okay. I would rather have white corn tortillas than yellow. Also, the waiter did not check up to give us more chips, salsa or drinks. When he brought our food, he was going to walk away without refilling and I had to call him back to get more drinks and chips. Other than that, the atmosphere was quaint and friendly.

Favorite spot for music and Mexican food on a Friday night. Yummy fajitas and potent margaritas. It's one of my favorite places. Regarding Friday music, you can usually hear Neal Champagne on the guitar strumming and singing familiar songs. Everyone is welcome to sing along.

This is our usual Mexican haunt for dinner/happy hour on the weekend. Ole has recently updated the decor & has new non-'sticky' menus. The service is quick and friendly and every table recieves unlimited chips and 2 kinds of salsa. Ole has Huge portions on dinners, which you usually have to get a to-go box for and a Queso Dip that is heaven. There is an outdoor patio for the smokers with little dining tables. On Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m., Ole has: Mutts & Margaritas. You can bring your healthy & leashed pup, no matter the breed, to dine out with your family on the patio. The menu for Fido is from Miss Daisy's Gourmet Pet Bakery: all-natural, preservative-free Paw-cos, Ruff-a-Dillas, Barkitos, even a specialty frozen yogurt. Ole has live music on Friday evenings and an Awesome Daily happy hour (even on Sundays!) which has Buy 1 get 1 - 25 oz. drafts. The only complaint - the bathrooms arent always the cleanest and you sometimes have to scrounge for t.p.

Food is pretty good but the real draw is beer glasses as big as your face. Add 2 for 1 drink specials and you're set.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
