Love this Longhorn Steakhouse. We came here on a weekday night armed with our $25 gift card and free appetizer coupon ready to sit down for a two and a half hour relaxing meal. Our server was very friendly and we told him we would be there for a while and to take his time. Our server was actually great. He took our drink orders and brought them out right away with our fresh bread and butter then let us munch down on that for a while. On point. Next we put down an order for our appetizer: The Best of Longhorn Sampler: $10.99 or $0.99 with free appetizer card. It was absolutely delicious. ( and 99 cents! Thanks, Yelp!) After a while, we ordered the Longhorn Gourmet Burger with a side mash to share: $12 & some change. The burger was juicy and perfect in every way and the mash potatoes where rich and flavorful. Fantastic. Finally, in our last hour I ordered the chocolate Stampede to go....amazing chocolaty velvety scrumptiousness. This one you should not forget. It's so good. Overall, we could not ask for better service or food. Longhorn has been around for a long time and I'm so glad we are rediscovering it. Awesome dinner for two close to home. :)

This is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Jacksonville. The service here is outstanding and the food itself is just as awesome. My personal favorite here is the chicken Parmesan.....it's always juicy and the cheese is cooked perfectly. The service is great.... The servers make sure drinks are refilled and the food comes out hot and fresh and delicious! Any time we order a steak it's cooked perfectly.... Some steakhouses have any issue with this-- not here though. We will definitely return to this location in the future.

@LongHornSteakHouse First time at #LongHornSteakHouse for Lunch. A very nice hostess sat us right away. Environment was dark but really calm and relaxing. It was clean that I must say.. quiet... we sat in a booth near the bar which has 2 television, but i

Ended up here after where we intended going was closed for a family reunion. The steak was very good and the potato was fantastic and their new side the fire roasted corn on the cob was amazing. The server while a little slow was very friendly and professional.

There garlic parm crust calls my name monthly and has never let me down. Their margarita is a little sweet for my taste but add extra lime and its just right.

Had late luncheon with my wife, food was good and service was excellent today. Had special request for my salmon and was done perfectly.

For the most part the food was really good but the horrible service made it really hard to enjoy. Our waitress never checked on us to see if we needed refills our if we needed anything else by the time I finally stopped her to let her know that I wanted a drink from the bar my meal was already done. I never got the hot sauce I wanted either. I think because I look much younger than I am she decided that I wasn't worth her time and just practically ignored us. Definitely won't be back to this location unless I have to

This is my favourite Longhorn Steakhouse in Jacksonville. Every time we have dined here, we have left happy and full with zero complaints. With the exception of one time when we were sitting next to a child who screamed the entire time. But... that can't be blamed on the restaurant. We have had nothing but excellent service from very friendly, smiling servers. They have all been very attentive and our orders have always been correct. Hubby and I have ordered a variety of items from the menu and everything we've tried has been excellent. Love the chicken parmesan and I love their specialty steaks. Speaking of which, every time I order a steak, it has always been cooked to my desired temperature. I have not once had to send a steak back here because it was either over-cooked or under-cooked. For those who are curious, I order medium. Currently on their menu, they have a Fire-Grilled Hawaiian Ribeye and I hope they keep it for a while because it is delicious. It's roasted in a sweet ginger-garlic soy sauce and is topped with roasted pineapple. The pineapple really gives the steak a great flavour! I highly recommend you try this if you are going anytime in the near future. The sides have all been good. We both especially love the steakhouse mac and cheese. There is an upcharge for this side item, but it is well worth it. I'd also like to point out the salads which come with the meal have never been wimpy. It's always nice to get a good-sized salad. If you come on a Friday or Saturday evening, there will be a bit of a wait. But, that should be expected from most restaurants during those particular times.

Longhorns is a great place for surf and turf. Good people and good staff. Prices are not bad and they have drink specials.

Came in with my mom today. Hostess sat us down with menus and said our server would be right out.. 10 minutes later she came back to check on us to see if our server got us drinks yet. It wasn't really busy for lunch hour. The waitress didn't come out till 10 minutes later. Anyways food was satisfying, we did the lunch combo of - steakhouse mac and cheese (kind of cold and crispy) with shrimp and lobster chowder (tasteful) -steakhouse cheeseburger (steak itself was kind of room temp, very dry and hard to chew) with mixed greens (salad, can't get that wrong can you?) Over all it was okay. Service could of been way better, so could the food.

Do you love wiping your ass with a $20 bill? Does meat dripping in enough grease to start your own McDonalds chain sound scrumptious to you? Do you like an inattentive and vapid staff to occasionally check on you in between episodes of Gray's Anatomy? If so than Longhorn Steakhouse off Roosevelt Blvd is the place for you! No longer will you have to worry about whether or not you're going to regret your steak purchase. With Longhorn Steakhouse on Roosevelt you are guaranteed dissatisfaction and no money back! I'd say I'm sure my experience wasn't a reflection of Longhorn's overall ability but I went 5 times and came back extremely disappointed 4 before finally giving up on the place and posting this review. Honestly either buy a steak at Publix / WD and cook it yourself or hop over to Outback where it's a bit pricier but they sing for their supper and yours.

The volume of noise coming from the kitchen is ridiculous. The bar is right outside the kitchen. It's been yelling, laughing, talking about their tips, where they're going later, etc..I'm sitting at the bar because I'm here alone and have been sitting here with NOTHING to drink for the last half of my meal. My wine glass has been empty for 15 minutes. I'm the only one sitting at the bar now, 2 bartenders and still have not been asked if I'm ok or need anything since I got my food. Steak was excellent, food really great, but service and overall experience was not pleasant at all and very unprofessional staff. Bartender that started me was great initially, then I got no more service after my food. NONE.

The manager called me today after I filled out the online survey and was very kind and apologetic. It's really nice to see great customer service!

I had the salmons salad. It was good. Service was very good. The restaurant has that old stinky restaurant carpet smell. Place needs a good carpet shampoo.

I just moved to this area and have eaten here maybe five times. Sometimes there is a really long wait so at the busier times I'd recommend coming early or expect a long wait. The service has always been good, even when they're busy, with the exception of the hostesses, who always seem a little lost. As for the food - YUM! The salads are great, the appetizers are great, and the steaks! Man they are good. They have great choices for sides, I love getting their veggies. Overall, great restaurant. I've always had good experiences with Longhorn's and this one is no exception.

We have been to other Longhorn Steakhouses and have even very pleased with the food, the service and the cleanliness of the other restaurants. Not so with this particular location! Overall, this Longhorn seemed poorly managed from start to finish. We went early on a Saturday evening, and the place was packed with about 20 people waiting to be seated. I can only wonder whether these people were desperate for a steak, any steak, at a reasonable price, they did not care if they received good food or not, or if they had just not eaten in anyplace better and did not know the difference! We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, which did not surprise me given that it was a Saturday evening. We were seated at a table near the back and not far from the bathrooms. The moment we neared the table, we were both hit with an unbearable stench--a sour, foul odor something like a backed up sewer. We had not smelled it anywhere else in the restaurant, and did not smell it after we had been moved to another area at our request. Our guess was that this odor either came from the women's bathroom (my husband said the men's room did not smell bad, but I refused to go into the women's for fear of losing my dinner), that something had been spilled onto the carpet nearby and allowed to soak in and become sour, or that the table had been wiped with a dirty, soured rag. It could have been due to one or all of these things or possibly something else, but the effect was the same. It reeked and was strong enough to turn our stomachs. We were moved to the other side of the restaurant which did not stink. We waited almost 45 minutes for our food, and when it did come, my steak was cooked incorrectly and all of our food was cold. We sent it back to the kitchen, and the second time around it came out pretty fast, was hot and cooked to our order. We saw our waitress 3 times--once when we placed the initial order, again when she came to ask us what was wrong with our food (we had already explained this in great detail to the manager), and the last time to bring us the check and take our payment. The rest of the time, other servers and/or the manager brought out our food, refilled our drinks and handled our complaints. While we waited over an hour for our correct order, we watched table after table in our section finish and leave, and no one cleaned off the dirty tables. We could see people sitting near the door waiting to be seated. Although we might give the Longhorn brand another chance, it won't be this location! The only positive was that the manager comped our entire meal, but I feel that if this place were operated the right way, this would not have been necessary.

The whole family (husband & I, 2 teen boys and young daughter) wanted to go out for steaks yesterday and LongHorn Steakhouse won the vote. We like this particular restaurant because its close to home. The host was obviously flustered and borderline freaked at the amount of people wanting to eat at 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday (the restaurant was 1/2 full) but the waitress was professional and very attentive and we did not have to wait long for our food. We tried the Texas Tonion for an appetizer and it was very good - even my two onion haters were very pleased with it. The salads were very generous in size. I had the Caesar salad and was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of real shaved Parmesan cheese. One son had the Black & Blue burger (cooked medium well) and was very happy with the quality of the meat (he said it tasted just like ground steak). The rest of us had steaks. This is why we come to LongHorn - each steak was not only cooked exactly to order (two mediums, two medium-rares) but they were fork-tender and totally melt-in-your-mouth. My daughter ordered the Kid's Sirloin and the quality was just as good as the adult steaks - seriously. Two of us had fries as sides, the other 3 had baked potatoes and all were good. Dessert on the other hand? Well, we've always been fans of the Fried Cheesecake and this time around, it just wasn't as good. It was tasty but something was missing and we're not sure what. Maybe our tastes are changing or perhaps the anticipation of it didn't live up to the reality? Anyhow, we still recommend LongHorn Steakhouse for the best place for steaks on Jacksonville's Westside...

Longhorn is a favorite place of mine for a simple steak dinner, and this location is good enough for dinner, so I won't give it just 1 star... but check it out, as a takeout option I would avoid, avoid, AVOID this location! Twice my coworkers and I have ordered takeout for lunch, and twice it's been a pretty big disappointment. Our portions are always minuscule and lacking. The packaging is not exactly done to ensure our meals stay neat or presentable. For instance, with our hunter's bread we got a small thing of butter, but as one coworker described it "it looks like someone spit the butter in to it." It really did look like that, just a tiny bit of butter speckled inside of the container. It was weird to say the least. The price was good at least, definitely affordable, but I'd rather pay a little more to have a more enjoyable lunch elsewhere. I'll be back for dinner inside, but I won't be playing around with anymore takeout.

Great steakhouse! The only time you'll be seated immediately is in the afternoon, between 3 and 5pm. The place is always packed and rightfully so. The food and service are always good. Had supper there Friday night, sat at the bar with a friend. We had the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer and it was great. My friend had the White Cheddar & Bacon Stuffed Filet and loved it. I had the Bacon Wrapped Filet. Both were cooked perfectly and the quality of beef was just as fine as the higher end restaurants in our area. We'll be back!

I don't see (or taste) what the fuss is all about. My date and I went on Wednesday night. The wait was long, the hostess surly and the server argued with me about medium rare vs. medium. Ordered a steak, medium rare and it came back overdone (medium well) and covered with something they lovingly call "prairie dust". What is this stuff? A steak should stand on it's own. Maybe a dollop of butter and some kosher salt. The shrimp appetizer was so-so and it too was covered in this prairie dust mystery. My date got their pork chops and they tasted strange. Metallic or something. The potatoes didn't taste real. I definitely will not be back to this place. I'd rather cook my own steaks on an open flame and endure the heat and mosquitoes.

Just went there last night ,we order a Shrimp and Lobster Dip for appetizer..a little disappointed at that,, the price doesn't match the quality of the food. Basically, it is just a whole punch of chips with little--I mean,,truely just a few piece of shrimp cheesy dip......I also ordered the Prime New York (I guess thats what it was called,,cant remember)..the juicy steak,,, it was really good, I enjoyed it...There was also an little accident happened which this lady hit her head in the door, and the service team are quick and reacts in order..I was amazed....All in all, this place is not bad..I will go back.

I go to this particular Longhorn ALOT. I go because I can walk there, and because my friend loves the potatoes. I get the boneless wings every time I go. I enjoy them. But the service is not good. What do you expect though? it's a Longhorn. Be prepared for crying babies, and for a 6-minute introduction to the 'specials' regardless of what you say. Good wings though.

One doesn't normally go to a steak joint to order seafood, but it happens. I just wasn't hungry for beef. I was feeling more shell-fishy, so I ordered their fried shrimp. Well, let me tell you, ummmmm ummmmm good. It took me back to a time in the 50's and 60's, eating those fried sweet crustaceans at a place called Strickland's out in Mayport. And they also reminded me of the ones at Morrison's, back in the day. They may not suit everyone, but I base my taste and opinion on those that I had as a kid and teen. To be exact; they were very lightly battered, definitely fresh, fried to a golden brown, just the right touch of crunch and very sweet, very tender. But most importantly, not over cooked. My baked potato was perfect as well. Other items of note that I saw were; Shrimp and lobster chowder, sauteed shrooms, sweet potater with cinnamon butter, blue cheese burger, very creative salads, baby backs and need I say steak? Umm! Umm!, again. I can't help it. I'll be going back for a ribeye sometime soon, and some ______ on the side. Guess? I hesitate to award 5 stars because I haven't had their steak, but the shrimp move it past 4.
