Probably going to be in the doghouse for writing this one. Highly recommended by friends whose opinions I Respect when it comes to steakhouses. The build up was of holy grail proportion, so really in retrospect, how could it possibly have lived up to the hype...First, atmosphere was first class, until a large noisy party were seated next to us. Lobster bisque was forgettable. Filet was outstanding but not outstanding enough to overlook the ok kinda service. The staff were polite and friendly, but just weren't what you would expect in the attentiveness department. Desserts were delicious. Got enough out of the experience where I would give it another chance to wow me though.

"It is a Lone Star steak with Ruth Chris prices. Either save $50 and go to Outback or get the $100 worth at Ruth Chris."

Pricey steakhouse on Southside that has very nice ambiance. We went for Valentine's day, which had a limited menu, but plenty for us. No apps. Ordered Strip Medium and Ribeye Medium-Rare with a side of asparagus and 6 cheese potatoes. The Ribeye came out a little to rare for my liking so they threw it back on for me and got a nice warmth in the middle and not too much red. Both steaks had wonder flavors. Additionally they brought out 2 more plates of sides. We don't know if it was for the undercooked steak or what, but suddenly we had a bushel of asparagus and a mixing bowl of potatoes for leftovers. Odered the Pecan Cake for dessert which my fiancee loved, but I found underwhelming and wish we had ordered the chocolate ganache cake. The Pecan Cake just needed some more moisture with a boubon drizzle or icing or something.

Love, love, love this place. Awesome wine selection that you can view on an iPad. Atmosphere, service and steaks are amazing. Worth the price!

Solid restaurant, we were a group of about 25 construction guys and you can imagine how much food was ordered. Everything was quite delicious, I truly enjoyed the sea bass. Great pick for Jacksonville dinning. Service was quite good as well.

Good steak house if you're in JAX. I had the Halibut and it was very good. My colleagues steak looked excellent. Service was average, which unfortunately is about the best one can hope for in JAX. Wine list was ok. I gave it 3 stars because the service was average.

Great Bar - - Today Finally a place in Jacksonville that makes you feel you are in Manhattan. Beautiful decor and they have a Happy Hour and an inexpensive bar menu. Amy, Whitney and Rachel are fantastic. Looking forward to dinner. My friends who eat at Del Frisco's say the steaks are the Best in Jacksonville. Zin

One word - DISASTER. I went here for a large family dinner after my graduation. With 14 people attending, our expectations for service alone were not too unrealistic. However, a few factors really killed the dinner for me. First of all, the place was empty except for a few white collar workers who were really interested in the large group of people walking in. With this in mind, any logical person would think that the food, appetizers included, would be out in a timely manner. But of course I wouldn't clear that up without reason - We had to pick on a loaf of bread for 45 minutes, until we received our appetizers about 30 MORE minutes later. Now this would've been more bearable had our waiters been present, but they were hanging around the entrance having conversations. We received our food an hour and forty-five minutes after we arrived. All in all, it was a bad experience all around. The only reason that I'm giving two stars is because the restaurant had a very modern, intimate feel. Don't go unless you're in a small group and ready to spend at least $40-$60 per person. Good luck.

III Forks is near a hotel I frequently stay at for work and I've wanted to try it for a while, and I'm happy I finally did! Great ambiance, excellent food and amazing apple martinis (even better that I was there on ladies night and they were only $5!) Definitely recommend trying it if you haven't!

I will admit it. I was a bit hesitant when my bestie picked III Forks as the locale of his birthday dinner. I had heard/read mixed reviews on Yelp, Urban Spoon, Twitter and from friends. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of our experience! The location is in Tapestry Park, a slight negative initially as I'm not a fan of planned communities. However TP is very cute. They have complimentary valet, however you don't really need it as there is plenty of parking if you circle around to the back of the building. The decor is amazing! The wine rooms by the hostess stand are very impressive. The decor is luxurious and modern, which an amazing amount of detail. Hilary L. does a good job in describing the decor in her review. The menu is centered on the USDA Prime Beef that is served. They also have a great selection of seafood. Price points are in the high $20's/low 30's. I appreciated their "Local Favorites" section, that included more reasonably priced items such as a Prime Rib Sandwich ($18) and Prime Burger ($13). The appetizers section had lots of yummy choices also. We started with the Beef Crostades and Bacon Wrapped Scallops. Both were really quite amazing! We were a bit surprised to only get 3 scallops, however each one was so decadent, that we ended up splitting them up and being satisfied with just the half each. The Beef Crostades came with 8 or so pieces. The beef was tender and the mustard sauce creamy and tangy. Our server, Josh, also brought a couple rounds of bread, which was warm and filling. My bestie had the Lobster Bisque and declared it amazing! For entrees, our table ordered the Bone-in Ribeye, a couple Prime Ribs , Flat-Iron, Tenderloin Tips and the Prime Burger (mine!). It's all I could talk about if III Forks would let me order a burger medium rare. They were able to, however my burger came out more medium. Nonetheless, it was juicy and flavorful! Even though they don't say on the menu, it came with cheese on it. Now for the cheese-lover that I am, that was okay, But just a warning to any of you who don't like cheeseburgers. My hubby's ribeye was cooked perfectly, it "felt" medium rare when we id the finger test :) The Prime Ribs were a bit disappointing as they were certainly more done than my friends wanted. However, you never know what you can get with the Prime Rib, since the whole roast is cooked and they just cut your piece to order. I encouraged my friends to ask if there was a more rare piece, however when they did, our server Josh said that they may not have any left. They decided to just keep the prime rib an it was still pretty good! We also ordered a side of mushrooms, sauteed spinach and creamed corn for the table. I did not taste the corn, but my friends swear it was delicious! The mushrooms and spinach were great too. When we got our orders, a server came to our table with a tray of fresh sliced tomatoes and green onions. He asked if we wanted some with our meal, which I thought was a nice touch. We did not eat their dessert. I had brought a half dozen red velvet cupcakes from Cupcake Girls (review forthcoming). I gave the box to the hostess upon arrival and asked if they could store in their walk-in cooler. She happily obliged and offered to have them plated on a tray to be brought out after we finished our entrees. Well, they didn't just plate them. They placed them on a beautiful silver tray, where they had written Happy Birthday in chocolate and sprinkled with powdered sugar. It was definitely above and beyond! they even fixed two of our cupcakes, which had suffered a bit on our drive over! If you haven't already guessed, the service was fantastic. They treated us extremely well and make the experience very special. After dessert, one of the hostesses came over and took our picture. They printed out the picture for the birthday boy, along with a handwritten Happy Birthday card. Classy! We will definitely be back--probably for a happy hour first. It's a bit pricey for regular Friday dining out, however great for a special occasion.

We usually head to Morton's for special occasion dinners, but we decided to try something different this time around. We were not disappointed. Great ambiance, quick service and better than average food sealed the deal for us, and we'll definitely be returning soon. It also helped that the General Manager at III Forks used to be the GM at Morton's -- so there's an attention to detail here that makes this restaurant a standout in Jacksonville.

My boyfriend and I had an early reservation on Friday night at 6pm. We were seated at a very nice roomy booth. Same-siders I might add...something I usually don't like. :) I like to sit across from my man so I can look at him when I am talking! No biggie. Anyway, the wine cellar in the center was very impressive and the fire in the glass around the room was awesome! Very nice atmosphere for sure! Our server, Josh was awesome! He was always there to assist us and we talked to him about a variety of things! I always appreciate that kind of service! I decided to get a glass of wine and my boyfriend a beer. (He's not that much into wine like I am). I must say that I was very disappointed by the wine by the glass selection. Very cheapo bottles and for expensive prices! I ended up ordering two different glasses, both of which I thought were a joke! I'm sorry but I have had a lot better wine by the glass in a lot less extravagent restaurants. I think when you're charging $14 a glass, it better be good! I guess we should have ordered a bottle, although my boyfriend is more of a beer guy. We ordered the onion rings for appetizer and split the III Forks salad. The onion rings were decent. They tasted much better with the ranch that was brought out after my boyfriend asked for a dipping sauce. The salad however was excellent! Maple walnut vinaigrette with Maytag blue cheese and pecans! That was delicious. It takes more than a good salad to impress me though! My man got the Prime Rib and mashed potatoes. I had the Flat Iron Steak and mashed potatoes. We ordered a side of creamed spinach and they brought out sauteed spinach instead. The spinach was well seasoned and very buttery! My steak was very good and the red wine shallot sauce was yummy! But again, it was just ok. After we told them about the spinach, they ended up bringing out a little side of the creamed spinach too, which was ok. We also had the Creme Brulee for dessert and it was very good! Overall the meal was average but service was excellent! I was not very impressed with the food. If I wanted a steakhouse I would probably go to Ruth's Chris or Capital Grille.

So, I only went there for drinks and hors d'oeuvres. It was a Heart Association shindig. The place was packed more than usual apparently. I can't speak on the food, but the drinks were quite good, if heavy on the alcohol. The staff was kind of slow, and catered to regulars first (despite other people waiting around for longer). It's a classy looking place, in a nice, cobblestone shopping area. I'll go back.

For the price it's a great atmosphere, decent service, and subpar food. I ate here on New Year's Eve and shared a salmon dish with my wife with a couple of sides. The salmon may as well have been bought from publix and cooked on a stovetop by me. The sides were not much better. Additionally, one of our many wait staff acted rather snooty with us upon taking our order for only one entree. There are much better higher end restaurants in town than this.

So we went there for Mother's Day with the in-laws. I'm tight with my stars; most people would probably give this a 4, I'll cave and give it 3.5. It's hard to say something negative about a restaurant that does not bat an eye when you send a dish back. The service there is top shelf, and my rack of lamp was very good. If you like steaks, you'll probably love III Forks. If you're not going to eat a steak, you should probably go somewhere else.

My husband decided to try III Forks for his birthday dinner. We made a reservation on a Saturday night. We were initially seated in a booth along a walkway, and there was a very loud party (person, actually) seated nearby. We asked for a quieter corner, and the server graciously relocated us to another table. This table was in the bar area, which had less ambiance, but was in a quiet corner nook, so it was still an improvement. First, I must gush about the bread. Hot out of the oven, perfectly crisp on the outside and warm and soft on the inside, I will be dreaming about this bread for a while. It was served with softened, salted butter. No low-carb meal for me. We chose a glass of wine from the ipad wine list, and perused the menu. Both of us decided on the three-course summer menu for $42. He chose the caesar salad, scallop appetizer and rack of lamb for his entree. I decided on the III Forks salad, crab cake appetizer, and sliced filet. My salad was light and delicious, with pecans, crumbled gorgonzola and thinly sliced pear atop a bed of spring greens bearing just the right amount of sweet viniagrette dressing. My crab cake was flavorful, resting on sweet roasted red pepper sauce that added a novel flavor to a familiar dish. My filet slices were cooked just right (medium here means hot red center), and seasoned with a peppercorn gravy that was delicious. The sample I tasted from my husband's rack of lamb was also very flavorful, juicy and well-seasoned. Our server brought him a plate with two smaller slices of cake (still enough to share), with one chocolate ganache and one texas pecan cake. They were both fabulous. Choosing a favorite would be like choosing between my children, they were both so good. The ambiance might have been a bit lacking, but our meal was of excellent quality and flavor, and the service was outstanding. Overall, we had a good experience at III Forks.

Order took too long, NY strip ordered Med-well, received way over-cooked. Had to. wait another 30 minutes for re-fire. Wife's Filet Minon burnt on top. To be fair, they did comp the steak, two glasses of wine, and dessert; however, still incredibly disappointed in this experience. Was not worth the money we spent.

Had an amazing evening at Three forks. You walk in and there is a stunning fire place and two glass rooms with the wine selection. We were never rushed and the staff was great. They would actually have a conversation and get to know you. Made me feel right at home like they cared and it wasn't just a job. We started off with the seafood melody! It came out and was as delicious as it looked. They were always prompt to refill water with out being asked and requests to refill drinks when they were getting low. I ordered the NY Strip and my other party had the filet mignon. They were perfectly cooked medium rare they do tell you ahead of time that they cook the stakes a little cooler than normal restaurants. But they were both perfect! For desert we had the bread pudding and I am not a fan of bread pudding but this was LIFE CHANGING! The flavored and sauce was out of this word! When we finished they asked if we wanted some coffee and were never rushed. I will be going back and would recommend 3 forks to anyone who would like a great steak. We did not have a a chance to go to the bar but it was very busy and seemed to have a lively crowd.

I used to really love this place. Recently we went and the waitress was annoying to say the least. 3 of the 8 dishes we ordered came out improperly prepared. Cold french fries, no waitress in sight for drink refills. When my wife's short ribs came with the wrong sauce on it, the waitress said, "I'll ask if we can make a new one". I told her, don't ask, just do it(adios tip). Eventually we were so frustrated, one in our party had to wait 30 minutes for their replacement food, we just wanted to run out. The manager took over at our table and offered free dessert. I said no, we dont want to be here any longer, just take the money and let us leave. He comped the full meal but I am still thinking I don't want to go back. I don't want free food, i want good food. Something is going wrong at this place, way worse than they used to be. On a side note, we used to love their prime rib and they discontinued it. With so few good steakhouses in Jacksonville I hope they get their act repaired.

I went out here on a date recently. I don't think the food is quite worth the money, BUT it was absolutely amazing. My date had the sea bass with the butter compote on top and I had the special, which was Grouper with a red pepper white wine sauce. There were fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts on mine. The sprouts were AMAZING. But, since it is a la carte, he ordered a side of spinach for $19, on top of a $30 meal. That was a little insane. All in all, I would come back.

Beautiful atmosphere but that is about all. After paying $150 for two steak dinners I should be able to say more than the food was just ok. I feel like I should have loved it for that price. You pay for the nice decor and the convenient location. It's no Ruth Chris.

Better than outback; not by much. Service was trying but kept getting the orders wrong. Steaks were so poorly prepared I had to send them back, which I hate to do. Very price for the quality. Drinks were good.

Had my husbands 30th birthday dinner here for a party of 8- excellent service and atmosphere. Everything on the menu looked good. I had the ahi tuna app, scallop entree and seasonal vegetables, my husband had the rib eye, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. For dessert the group shared bread pudding, pecan cake and chocolate ganache, again all tasted as fabulous as they looked. I couldn't ask for a better dining experience all around. I highly recommend this place.

Three stars for III Forks. III Forks is in the front yard of my office building, literally. I saw the sign go up a while back but never really looked into seeing when they were opening and what they were all about. My fiance noticed it one day when he was meeting me for lunch so I knew we would try it eventually. After knocking out most of my Christmas shopping at the Town Center yesterday afternoon, we found a reservation on Open Table and decided to give it a try. The entry way is nice and actually big enough to hold a small group of people when several parties show up at once. We were seated quickly and told our waiter would be there shortly with the wine list and bread and butter. He showed up with the wine list; just no bread nor butter. The wine list is quite extensive and the menu is pretty straight forward. Similar to Ruth's Chris, everything is ordered a la carte. They have a small selection of appetizers, salads and sides to choose from. We decided to split the seafood medley app and we both ordered the prime rib for dinner. We went with one side: creamed spinach since our dinner was being served with mashed potatoes. The seafood medley comes with a bacon wrapped scallop, a small crab cake and two shrimp, served cocktail style. The scallop was delicious and melted on your tongue. The crab cake was good, but I personally would have preferred the sauce on the side. The shrimp were good; just not anything special. The prime rib was tender and delicious. You could see the difference in our two plates: mine was rare, his was medium rare. The horse radish and au jus were just right. The creamed spinach was probably the best I've had, and I hesitate to say I liked it better than Ruth's Chris. The spinach was cooked just right and the cream was light enough not to drown the integrity of the greens. For dessert we splurged on the Chocolate Ganache cake. I have to admit, if I wouldn't have seen the table next to us order it, I could have probably passed on dessert. The cake was surprisingly light. The toasted coconut added a nice flavor. Overall, we had a good night. There were a few times our waiter disappeared but he quickly resurfaced not too long after. Perhaps he had tables in the other rooms. They're on their game for sure, but if I was choosing a steakhouse to go out for a nice night, I'd still pick the Ruth's Chris that's right down the street.

I went to III Forks for Happy Hour with a group of co-workers. Seemed like a nice place for regulars, however we were not regulars. The staff paid more attention to the regulars and we were afterthoughts. The manager kind of gave us attitude for being too loud when we were trying to get our server attention. I will not be going back there again.

Great atmosphere. Blue chips left a lot to be desired. They were cool and soggy. We sent back and it was if they steamed them. They came back hot, but soggier.Beef tips were ok but the rest was pretty good. The service was outstanding.

My rating is an average of: 5 star service, 5 star environment, 4-5 star food and 1 star for my steak. After considering III Forks for some time, we finally went for some steaks that past weekend. We were very particular about the table and didn't mind waiting - the bar was really nice and they had delicious skinny cocktails! Huge plus on my list! We got seated exactly where we wanted and liked the booth. Our waitress was excellent - great service, great timing, she was fantastic! We got the beef bruschetta or however that is spelled appetized - it was kind of average. The wedge salad we got next was delicious and very generous! Then the steaks..we both got NY strip, except my husband got the 16 oz and I got the 12oz. First time ever braving outside the fillet mignon (and last). Got mashed potatoes (they were average) and asparagus (average..what you would expect) sides. My husband's steak was amazing - exactly cooked to the medium! Mine was a huge disappointment. It took me half way through dinner to figure out what exactly was wrong - for starters, it did not look, feel or taste like NY strip. It was overcooked. It had peppercorn sauce which I usually like, except that someone had dropped the salt shaker in it. Comparing the two steaks we had...well..there wasn't even comparison. Mine reminded me of what I would get at a buffet that claims to have steaks. I finally spoke up and told our waitress, showing her the difference. She and the managers handled it excellent. It was really my fault for not saying anything earlier - it was too late to replace it. Excellent service and very professional handling of the situation. We ended the night with an amazing bread pudding desert! Overall, I think my steak was some kind of a rare exception. I like to think that I would go back and give this place another try.

Good atmosphere and tasty food, but way too overpriced. Tables are poorely set up (no table cloths, pizzeria-style tableware, no decorations or candles...). Despite having a wine cellar, the wine selection is limited. Prosecco is used in one of their cocktails, yet it cannot be served on the glass (or maybe the waitress didn't feel like asking whether that was possible?). My $20 seafood meadley appetizer was made of 2 shrimp, 1 scallope, 1 tiny crab cake - I thought it was a joke. I had the red snapper as a main course and I have no conplaints about it, although again, $35 seemed too much given the size of the portion. All in all, it was an "ok" experience but I won't be going back.

We had a dinner for a group of 17. The service was exemplary and the food just about perfect. We started with Hummus (huge portion, we just ordered more pita sticks) and Pita sticks and a plate of crudos (little bruschetta like crackers with a light sauce and a thin slice of beef tenderloin). They just melted in your mouth. We ordered three more platters. salads were excellent and very large, enough for two unless you had a huge appetite. I ordered the New York strip steak and it tied with Gibsons in Chicago for the best NY steak I have ever had. The sides are enough for 4 people. Needless to say we had no room for dessert.

I came to III Forks for my birthday dinner after hearing great things from a slew of different people. I was really excited to try out this new restaurant and, I have to say, I was impressed! Good Points: The decor is amazing. It is so unique and stunning in a way that makes you step back and say "Wow". We were seated next to a wall with an open cutout that was filled with black crystals and had a line of fire coming out of them. It kept me warm [I tend to run cold all the time] and was very visually impressive! They have a huge glass-walled wine room that is in the center of the restaurant. Behind that impressive centerpiece is a gold and mother of pearl mosaicked wall! There is also a water "pit" similar to the fire pit on the other side of the restaurant and I have heard amazing things about their porch, although I missed it. The food was really delicious. We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops, the ahi tuna, and the beef croustades for appetizers. The scallops, tuna, and beef were all melt in your mouth delicious! I got the 8 oz Filet Mignon for dinner and enjoyed it, although I would definitely get the Ribeye next time around for its amazing flavors! [I'm not much of a steak aficionado, so I don't know which cuts mean what... Filet just sounded fancy. Which it was.] And I loved the six-cheese potatoes side. The creamed corn side was also a big hit, I just happen not to like corn. [I know, freakish.] The service was very attentive and engaging. They even took a photo of our group against the beautiful gold wall and printed out copies for everyone to have! They have complimentary valet service. Down Sides: They are kind of overpriced. The meat was delicious, but the 8oz Filet was $32 and came without anything... else... at all. You have to order all the sides separately. However, I think that is just how these kinds of places work [similar to a Morton's or Ruth's Chris] and the food was all spectacular! Also, you can get a delicious Tenderloin salad for $15 that is very generous, or the Ribeye sandwich with fries for $20 and the portions are huge! So, you can definitely eat here for a reasonable price. Other than that, I would say this place has pretty much nailed it. The decor is so cool that I recommend coming just for that alone. The food is delish and the service is great. Definitely a great place for a special occasion!

I moved away just as this place opened, so after hearing rave reviews I finally had a chance to check it out on a trip back home. Though the decor is fabulous, the food was a major disappointment. Bread service - oh so forgettable Tuna tartar app $15 - blah Caesar salad $10 - very little flavor Scallops $30 - truly nothing special (at this point I wanted to cry) Even the creamed corn (which my friend said is like "crack" because it is so addictive) was bland and uninteresting. I barely ate half of my food. On the plus side, service was flawless.

It's a beautiful looking place: a fiery display greets you as you enter, then it's on to a huge enclosed wine display with a gold tile back drop. It also has the traditional wood paneling you'd expect from a prime steakhouse. The food was perfect. Quite possibly the best onion rings I've ever had. our steaks were all great. My wife and I selected a really terrible Cabernet sauvignon called Sweet. Avoid this wine. It tastes like Riunite. The waiter rushed us a bit and wasn't the most ingratiating of fellows. I'd definitely go back if only for the onion rings.

Best steak in Jacksonville. Valet parking welcomes you. Nice bar area and several rooms for dining. USDA prime steaks cooked to perfection the several times that I have been. My favorite is the bone in filet. Bone in NY is a bit thin for me. Wait staff and cooks clearly know the temperatures, describe them and deliver them. Perfect medium rare. Tender, juicy cuts of beef. Choice of several types of cuts. Vegetables fresh and mashed potatoes excellent. Try the off the cob cream corn! Excellent service consistently.

Pretty much what you expect from a high end, high price steak house. Nice decor. Excellent Service. I ordered the 10oz prime rib medium.. It was a good size. and it came with mash potatoes so I didn't need to order an additional side dish to rack up our dinner bill. I managed to eat around the meat, the center was too pink. They was fine to take it back and heat up the middle, which was very nice of them to do. All in all it was an enjoyable experience.

My wife had a business dinner at Three Forks and told me the steak and wine was spectacular and she would love it if I took her their one night. Well last night we finally went and I have never had such horrible service in my life. First of all I called and made reservations for two, they took my full name and phone number. We get their and the hostess says that we had not made a reservation or at least it did not get put into the computer. So after some scrutiny and embarrassment by the pretentious hostesses, we were seated, smack dab in the middle of the dining area, when all of the trendy couple sized seating against the wall was wide open. Then we sit their for 15 minutes watching three tables get sat and served, while the whole time multiple staff, managers, and servers walk by staring at our empty glasses. Needless to say we left before a server even greeted us. We complained, and they didn't even try and rectify the situation. Boooo!

Service was second to none, ambiance was very nice and the food was delicious. The server had the foresight to serve our sides family style so that everyone at the table could enjoy and they were great at making sure plates we full, glasses were full and anything needed to quickly done. A great dining experience!

My girlfriend and I had dinner at the bar here on a Friday night. It was unusually slow for a weekend night. The food was great as always and the service was attentive by the bartenders. We both had steaks and the sides (six cheese potatoes and cream corn) were fantastic. Mom would not have been happy as we did not have any greens. The wine selection is good and fairly priced. Highly recommend.

Stopped in because it was conveniently located to the Marriott we were staying at in Jacksonville, it had received good ratings here, and we were craving grilled meat after sushi the night before. The Tapestry Park location was an interesting attempt at a sort of pseudo-european oasis amongst the single level sprawl that one is used to seeing throughout the Southeast, and the decor of the restaurant itself was reassuringly dark, paneled, men's club chic. Divided into a number of small dining rooms, the layout successfully kept the volume in any single room down to an acceptable level. The menu was pretty streamlined, with about half a dozen appetizers and a similar number of mains. Personally, I could have done with a broader selection of cuts and portion sizes of meats. There was really nothing that jumped out at me from the appetizer menu - pretty standard steakhouse fare (with the de rigeur shrimp cocktail, of course) I tried a sort of beef bruschetta, but it was uninspiring to say the least. My colleague tried the wedge salad - not much you can say about a wedge of iceberg lettuce covered in ranch dressing. Bread was served with the appetizers, and while pleasantly warm and soft, it was clearly not homemade and pretty much tasteless. We asked for some good olive oil to accompany it - it never arrived. My colleague had the 8oz. filet Oscar, and I chose the rack of lamb. Both were executed perfectly in terms of cooking preference (medium rare for both). The Oscar treatment was disappointing - the crabmeat was not fresh, and the Bearnaise lacked tarragon. I chose better, the lamb being crusted with olive oil, garlic & herbs. Family-style -sides included sauteed spinach (excellent) and 6-cheese potato gratin (average - completely lacking in seasoning). The prices were in line with the Yelp preview, out entrees averaging $35.00, our appetizers $10.00, the sides $7.50. Service was professional and friendly, always attentive, never a distraction. All in all, a pretty average experience at an above average price range. These sort of high-end steakhouses seem to thrive in FL, and while this one seems to have the formula down in terms of setting, ambiance and staff training, the kitchen needs to elevate the menu to deliver on the promise.

My family decided to try III Forks during the holidays, and to celebrate my cousin's birthday early. I live in NYC, but consider Jacksonville home. The finer dining option in Duval are somewhat limited, but I have seen improvement over the last few years. III Forks is a wonderful addition. The service was good, the bottled wines affordable, the food delicious, and the desserts divine. Josh was our server, and was attentive with our questions and requests. The manager ( I think he was the manager), Peter, visited our table several times and added to the entire experience. Nice touches...free valet...worst part...trying to find the place. Thank you III Forks...we will be back!

This review is long overdue. Consistent food, great upscale atmosphere, valet parking, best steak in jacksonville. Kills Capital grille if looking for a comparison. Friendly management and staff.

III Forks is the best place to be if you want a warm, classy, impressive ambiance. I love their glass stones fireplace and private VIP rooms. Their see through glass wine cellar is a pleasant sight indeed! I've hosted several events here for my friends and the manager has been very accommodating to our needs. The food here is beyond awesome. My favorites here are the following: the rich, velvety smooth Chocolate Ganache for dessert, succulent gigantic scallops wrapped in bacon, steaks that are perfectly prepared that melts in your mouth and a glass of Rose Regale wine. Ohhhh so heavenly!

I am not an expert on steakhouses, but I think that that anyone running one may be haunted by the realization that however classy the atmosphere and delicious the food of your establishment, there is a better version somewhere in the country or far worse, a better one in the same city. I ate with a group of aficionado customers last night, who started out the meal comparing all the different steakhouses they had been to in their lives. We are not talking young bucks. These are grown men with grown children, so I listened to a cornucopia of personal experiences. It occurred to me that this is part of steakhouse culture. Discussions of this nature by patrons are not uncommon in these establishments. It's the logical conversation piece when looking at the menu, so the stakes are pretty high (no pun intended) when deciding to run this type of business. With every meal ordered you are constantly scrutinized and compared to your peers and predecessors. I was dually impressed and satisfied by the filet mignon. And I thoroughly enjoyed the 6-cheese potatoes, creamy corn-off-the-cob, and wine selection. I honestly woke up this morning craving a replay of the meal from the night before. But remember, I was the "easy win" in this group. The actual bragging rights can be claimed by III Forks because each of my self-proclaimed steak-connoisseur colleagues enjoyed their meals too. So a job well done (again no pun intended).

The USDA Prime cuts of steaks are really, really, really delicious. My family enjoys meat, and we were all impressed at the quality of the steaks we ordered. 1st visit (party of four): Prime Filet Prime NY Strip Prime Bone-in Ribeye - This is mine & it was probably one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. Sea Bass Asparagus Sauteed Mushrooms Cheesy Potatoes - To me, this was kind of small on the portion size and nothing to write home about. Forgetful compared to everything else we had that night. Chocolate cake Espresso 2nd visit (party of two): Ribeye Sandwich Shrimp Platter Creme Brulee - This dessert was delicious, but it was deep serving. I almost wished I could send the bottom half back to have them add more sugar & torch it with a fresh crunchy layer. :-) The prices are on the higher side for Jacksonville, but the quality on both of our visits made it reasonable. The decor is nice and clean. The staff is very friendly & attentive.

What a disappointment. Noisy, people walking constantly past the table and using cellphones, food ok, service just so so, really nothing special. Do over--I doubt it

Great steakhouse experience. III Forks is a great option for an upscale Steakhouse experience. My favorite things here: French Onion Soup, III Forks Salad, and the Bacon Sea Scallops. When I get the Filet, I really enjoy getting it Oscar Style - there is plenty of crab meat. They also bring around a tray of fresh Tomatoes and green onions. I love the green onions.

Love this place! Our favorite bar menu and best place to celebrate special occasions! From the patio lounge to the old school steak house dining....can't say enough. Curtis and the staff are the best! One of the tastiest hamburgers in town...expected in a steak house, right! But not always so. Never have been disappointed! Good food, good times!

Came here with a few friends, even though we didn't order until a half hour before they close the waitress was extremely nice. I had a gin and tonic that was perfectly portioned and my friend had a 'fruity' drink she really liked as well. We ordered the bone marrow and foie gras for appetizers, the foie gras was good but nothing spectacular. The bone marrow came with beef cheek and that was well worth the money! For an entree I had the vegetable ravioli which honestly was a bit of a disappointment, it was great quality but I did expect it to be a bit more flavorful. My boyfriend had a steak which was perfectly cooked, I'm not a big red meat person, but after having a bite was a little regretful I didn't get one as well! It is rather expensive, having some specially steaks as high as $200! But the atmosphere, staff, and steak really made this place somewhere to visit if you're looking to drop some cash on a nice dinner.

This place is pretty great! I also went here for an early birthday dinner. (Yes, I celebrated my birthday for a smooth week, sue me! lol) Overall the entry and atmosphere was really nice. I ordered a Raspberry sour for my cocktail and it was great! We ended up skipping appetizers but me and my bf split a wedge salad which was delicious. For my main course I had the 8 oz. filet which was cooked perfectly to my liking of medium rare. For sides, we did a family style array of 3 cheese potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus. Oh! I almost forgot about the bread and sea salt butter! So good :) My boyfriend ordered a bone-in steak, so did his father. Bf's mom also go the filet and so did my bf's brother. Lastly, My bf's brother's gr (I know, long chain haha) ordered some fish..I believe it was the sea bass? She enjoyed it. Everyone loved their food! The only gripe was the loud table beside us! It got to a point where the table beside us was trying to convince the waitress to get up on top of the table to dance...it was just ridiculous. Once they left, we were all able to thourouly enjoy our food. Also, a nice touch was that my bf had a lot of sinew running through his steak, and although he didn't officially complain and want the manager, our waiter provided us with a complimentary tray of all of the desserts they have on the menu. That was very generous of them to do so. So, I got to try the sweat bread and grabbed a slice of cheesecake all to myself! Which..was delicious! All in all, I enjoyed my time at III Forks and plan to come back for another special occasion.

Great food, awesome service. Came to @IIIForksJAX two nights in a row while in town on business. Only downside was that they wouldn't let us watch the GOP debate when we were in the bar. Totally understandable... last thing you want is a politics debate in a fancy restaurant.

I came here for a company Christmas party and was very excited to see the inside of this restaurant from the pictures I had viewed online. When I came in with my fiancee we found our places to sit fairly quickly with our group and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. The restaurant gives off a very modern look using geometric shapes such as squares and circles and the use of the earthy colors makes the mood very mellow inside. As we sat, we were shown the wine and cocktail menu on an iPad which they let us scroll thru. I think it's kind of neat that they have upgraded to iPads so I had a little bit of fun looking at everything on there. From the wine list I chose a bubbling Prosecco which was okay, but it was a little too dry for me. After I had finished with that I asked for a long island ice tea, which wasn't on the menu (they do make a few other drinks) and it was definitely a strong drink. You get your money's worth of alcohol from the drink, it was bearable but I wish it had a little more tea. When we finally started getting our food, they served us the most delcious bread with butter. The bread was so warm and soft like it was fresh out of the oven, delicious. Soon afterwards they began sending out the food from our set menu. Our appetizer consisted of shrimp cocktail, avocado and tuna on a kind of pita chip, and bruschetta, which they served us on our own individual plates. All of it was pretty delicious but the tuna and avocado was by far my favorite. I was impressed by the size of the shrimp from the shrimp cocktail though. The bruschetta was pretty good as well but I've never had it before so I really have nothing to compare it to. Right after the appetizers, we were given soup or caeser salad. I picked the lobster bisque, because why wouldnt I? This was by far the best lobster bisque I have ever had and they were not shy on the helpings of lobster that were in the soup. It was so creamy and full of flavor, but was simple at the same time. Moving on to the main course I ordered the salmon which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Let me tell you I loved that salmon, I wish I could have had another serving. The salmon was coated with a sweet pesto sauce and we were also given a lemon to squeeze on top of it, giving it a little citrus taste. The mashed potatoes were so flavorful that I could have been happy just eating that as a meal by itself. My fiance got the ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly and it was so tender and juicy. He definitely enjoyed his huge piece of steak to say the least. Last, but not least, I had the Texas Pecan Cake. I've never had this sorry of came before, but I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It was a light and had a good icing to bready ratio. I had a bite if the chocolate ganache cake and didn't really like it, the chocolate was a bit too rich for me. The customer service was pretty good, sometimes took too long to bring a drink out. I think at one point someone forgot to bring a drink we ordered out. It definitely is a fancy place because they refold your fabric napkin when you get up to leave and do something, and if they catch you by your seat they will help you sit down and push your chair in! Different, but a wonderful experience overall. We were all contained in one part of the open restaurant, but I know there are beautiful, fancy private rooms that most likely cost a fortune. If you've got the money, try it out!

Awesome service and meal! We had a great evening, enjoying our anniversary. The staff was very attentive, just the right amount of times at our table asking if we needed anything else, or if our food was cooked to our liking. Joe was our waiter, he was very knowledgeable about the menu. They made our night a little more enjoyable by having our table ready when we arrived with a candle lit dinner, and a sweet slice of chocolate cake.

Definitely a dinner date. My boyfriend made reservation and they asked for what occasion. We received a candle to indicate our anniversary occasion. Server and manager was friendly. Server was great. She went over the menu and checked on you in timely manners. They printed us a complimentary picture for our anniversary. The complimentary bread was delicious. It was fresh and very warm. I had the filet mignon 12 oz rare. It was exactly the right way I requested. I enjoyed it but I enjoyed the six cheese potatoes side even more! The size cheese potatoes was cheesy but had the right amount of potatoes. It's not as mashed as mashed potatoes. The texture was so delicious. The top later of the cheese has a crispy effect. It just melts in your mouth in every bite. My boyfriend had ribeye 16oz. Personally I think it was better than the filet migon. Only con is the price. But you pay for the atmosphere and quality.

I lost a bet to a friend on an NBA game and he chose this restaurant. At first I was skeptical about going here because I had never heard of it but once we got there I was glad we stopped by. The ambiance is spectacular and the food is well worth it! Exquisite food and very knowledgeable staff to boot. If you are every in Jacksonville, I highly recommend this place.

Why go to Ruth's Chris when you can get much better food, friendly service, and better atmosphere for the same cost? The food here is amazing. My favorites include the bacon wrapped scallops, the steaks, and the lobster bisque. The staff is outstanding and friendly. I've never had a bad meal or service here.

The steak was seasoned very well. The temp was medium-well, but more to the well side as I requested. The presentation wasn't anything to holler over, but I guess they made up for it with the taste. The asparagus was a little undercooked for my taste though. Otherwise, the meal was fine.

The long await is over!!! We went on a double-date with another Yelp couple who loves experiencing food and wine like we do :) The first thing we did after we sat down was look for the wine menu. Interestingly enough, the waiter handed us an electronic tablet that listed all their wines. We opted to start with the Rodney Stone Pinot Noir 2012. That was a nice start as we brushed through the bread that was placed on our table in just a heavy napkin -- no plate; the butter was smeared on a plate. Our second bottle of wine to pair with our dinner was the Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon 2010. For dinner, I ordered the 18 oz bone-in ribeye cooked medium rare plus. My fiancé and our friends each ordered the 8 oz filet mignon. We ordered a few family-style side items: roasted mushrooms (mix of oyster, shiitake, and baby bella) and creamed corn. Each item was delicious!!! My ribeye was cooked ALMOST to perfection. The inside was wonderful, but I had some outer layers that were too well done for my liking. Same happened to my fiance's filet. Overall, we really liked our meats. The sides were yummy, too, and I would definitely get them again, especially the roasted mushrooms. After our dinner was set on our table, another waiter came around with a platter of fresh sliced tomatoes and stems of green onions. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding. I heard so much about this bread pudding. I heard stories about how gigantic it was and how it was enough to feed a whole table. Well, honey, let me tell ya, those people telling me those ridiculous stories didn't know how I attack bread pudding!!!!!! Yes, it was a shareable dish, but if I didn't have any manners, I could've eaten that whole damn thang!!! Hehehe mMMmm bread pudding -- my other love!!! Ok, so at the beginning of our dining experience, we talked about how this place would compare to the Capital Grille. After dinner, we concluded that III Forks' food was toe-to-toe with CG, but the experience was sub-par. P.S. They do have a really cool wine cellar and gold-and-white wall where my friend and I took way too many selfies in front of :)

Great food. Had the wedge salad and lamb chops. Everything well made. Serious large veg portions. Need to offer smaller for the one person eating at the bar. Several items priced incorrectly between their iPad menu of drinks and deserts and my bill.

This was a great place we stumbled upon because the hotel was close. Food was amazing; our server, Brandon was great and directed us in the right direction! Scallops and lamb was great. Highly recommend the III Forks salad and the lobster mac and cheese. Thanks Brandon!

Rachel at the bar was awesome and provided excellent service. Filet with king's butter and asked for seared foie gras, which came out small at first and then fixed with proper size and cooked well. Filet was perfectly cooked rare and seasoned well. Lobster tail, is lobster tail. Wild rice good with the clarified butter from the lobster. Prices are a bit high, actually quite expensive. But they delivered and I had a great meal.

I was here for a company dinner a while ago, and this was my first return for an intimate dining experience. With the exception of an overcooked, tough Ahi Tuna appetizer, everything was amazing. Service was attentive, but not obtrusive. The food (I had the 16-ounce Strip) and sides (potatoes and asparagus) were phenomenal! The wine list is large, and their per-glass selection is modest, but decent. I recommend a bottle of Prisoner (red blend) to go with your perfect steak. If you are looking for the right spot for a special night, or just to have a great meal, this is the place and you would be remiss not to seize the opportunity. Next time, I will be picky about my Ahi. :)

Great food and service. Went on a Thursday night. Sat in the bar area. My waitress was attentive and super nice. I could not eat everything in one sitting. She bagged it up and gave me fresh bread. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Jacksonville. Thanks!

I have to say that I was very disappointed after hearing hype. We had our firm Christmas Party, so we had about 3 choices for the meal. I chose filet minion. It was overly salty and the roasted asparagus had no seasoning at all. We were all given a 25.00 gift card from III Forks, but honestly, I'd give it away.

This was our first time in and everything from the greeter to the paying of the check was wonderful. The food was better than I expected. I new this was a high end restaurant and I expected small portions. But instead we were given ample size meals that were cooked very well. We showed up early for our reservation by about 40 min. And we were seated promptly anyway. I ordered the swordfish with fresh sauted green beans as well as a guest of ours and my wife ordered the 8 oz. Steak with a side of mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection. Everything here is priced separate. The waitress that we had was polite knowledgeable and prompt with anything we needed. As the night came to an end after birthday deserts and my breadpudding with brandy sauce. We were asked if we would like a photo to remember the night, it was free as well as a birthday card for the ladies signed by the staff. NICE TOUCH. The hostess also took the time to use our camera to take a photo in the lobby. Very nice. I recommend this resturant highly if you want a classy meal and night out for adults.

So, so amazing. Beautiful lighting and romantic aura. Staff was perfect- checked on us just enough that they took care of all of our needs but didn't disrupt our experience. Perfect place for a birthday, anniversary, etc. Steak is hands down the best EVER. Get 1 side per 2 people. 6-cheese potatoes are awesome. Dress nice.

  • Ed A.

Overall the food was very disappointing. Seared scallops with bacon jam was too salty. Ahi tuna would have been excellent if it had been mixed thoroughly. One bite would be delicious and the next bland and tasteless. The accompanying avocado (smear/sauce) had zero taste. The tomato and burrata salad was off the chain good. The balsamic drizzle was like honey. Overall the salad was the star of the night. My girlfriend's filet was done perfectly, and my bone-in ribeye was a little underdone in my opinion, but was perfect according to the server. Sides were the sauteed spinach (excellent), and the recommended six cheese potatoes which were no more impressive than the Betty Crocker box varieties. Drinks were great. It's a shame when the star of a steakhouse is the salad. At $299 for the two us (included a bottle of wine), there are far better places in Jacksonville.

Went here for my 29th birthday and I absolutely fell in love with this place. The filet mignon was amazing and cooked to perfection, with a nice crust on the outside, tender and very flavorful on the inside. For sides I ordered Cream corn and cheese potatoes they were both very delicious. I am not a fan of cream corn at all but the three forks version is to die for! Dessert was great as well. I had a slice of chocolate cake as well as a complementary slice of Texas pecan cake. I sampled some of a friends creme brulee which was ok but had an overpowering taste of Gran marnier to it. To strong for my liking. Overall the ambiance was warm and cozy. Very intimate and a great place to have a romantic dinner date. Staff was very attentive and polite. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know and I will absolutely return here again.

I recently selected III Forks for a business dinner I had with prospective clients. III Forks menu reflects an upscale innovative steakhouse, yet also showcases local purveyors For dinner, I selected the Filet Minion from the simply prepared "Beef Market." The steak was perfectly cooked. My entrée was accompanied by Sautéed Mushrooms and off-the-cob cream corn, which paired nicely with my steak. The side dishes were traditional, and large enough to share with others. III Forks provided elements of a top steak house with unsurpassed service. I look forward to my next meal there.

When my wife and I needed a night out and wanted to feel that we could "disconnect" from the world, no better place than III Forks! From the friendly staff at hostess stand, to the flow of drink service, water, bread and dessert, it was incredible! Definitely a MUST!

We went here for a celebration and had only an ok experience. My wife got a steak ad I got a burger. Her steak was average and so was my burger. I know it is a steak restaurant, but I expected something better in my burger. We probably won't go back--I think we would have wanted to get a more unique experience and really great food for the price. On the upside though, the ambiance is excellent.

I continue to like III Forks quite a bit. They no longer have my favorite bacon-wrapped scallops on the menu. They do have scallops with a bacon "jam" ($17), however, and they were pretty good (though I still preferred the old bacon-wrapped scallops). The bread was notably good. It was fresh from the oven, and the butter was spreadably warm and salty enough. I had the flat iron steak for my main course. Hint: flat iron is the best-value steak cut. It's supposedly the second-tenderest cut, and it's far cheaper than premium steaks. The cut was only developed, if I recall correctly, about a decade ago: they cut out a tough part that had always been left in in the past. It's $20 for a prime flat iron steak at III Forks. The sauce and mashed potatoes with it made it a good choice. The steak didn't come with any vegetables, so I added some good green beans for $9. I didn't have room for dessert (which are enormous, as noted in my previous reviews). Service was professional, but could have made me more comfortable. The bar area is a bit louder than I'd like when busy. With one cocktail it was $73 with tip for my meal. III Forks is an expensive luxury restaurant. I enjoy myself there, but if the cost of a meal there concerns you you'll be happier elsewhere. Another experience outside on a cool night: The meat and cheese plate was weak. The slider was good. My daiquiri was good, though there was ice in it. The freestanding propane heaters weren't running and the fire pit we sat next to, which kept on burning out, wasn't quite enough to keep us warm. Edit: they only had one burner on in the fire pit, but I see more of the fire pit lit lately.

If yelp allowed me to give a negative 5 rating that's what this establishment would have received. Walked in around 6:30 after work. Asked for a table of one as I am traveling for business, I was directed to the lounge by the hostess and sat. After about 20 minutes without a menu, having been passed already by several waitresses, I had enough and proceeded to leave the restaurant. On my way out there was a group of waiters hanging out with the manager and I made sure to express my discontent to him. Never got a chance to taste the food because the waiting staff was too busy attending to the manager and the other groups. TRAVELING BUSINESSMEN take note.

This is my second home. I'm here at least three times a month. Great food and staff is fantastic. Andy the manager always comes over to make sure we are doing good and always has a great recommendation for wine. My choice is always the Bone in Ribeye.

I've eaten in some of the best restaurants in the US. While the food here was OK the attitude of the staff is ridiculous. They take themselves WAY to seriously. While I can appreciate staff that wants to leave a good impression there is a fine line between fine dining and a stuffy place to spend too much money on food. From acting like they were all PhDs to giving us silly iPads to order our drinks. They desperately pretended to be in New York or Chicago. Alas...this is Jacksonville. Know your audience. Side note: The taro chips that came w/the fried shrimp were chewy and stale. Blah!

I'm impressed! I wanted to take my hot tamale on a nice dinner date and we've both commented on wanting to try this place. I made reservations using the handy button on the Yelp app and it worked beautifully. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were able to be seated right away. They did give us the option of waiting at the bar but we chose to go ahead and EAT! We were seated in the dining room that seemed like a long hallway. The light fixtures and dark wood décor was gorgeous. We could see the large wine selection room at one end and the nice, warm bar at the other. It wasn't too loud or too dark. It was just right. We were tended too right away. We were asked if we were celebrating anything or if it was our first visit. We weren't celebrating anything particular but we told them it was our first time. A manager then quickly came over and introduced himself and told us to just relax and enjoy our meal and let them do everything..Very nice. I ordered a glass of Muscato for her and I got a beer. It came out quickly and icy cold. Our appetizer we chose was the bacon wrapped scallops.. Frickin delicious! But just 3 at $16.95. But still very good. Cooked perfectly. I chose to get the 8oz with a parmesan crust. and she got the salmon. Both were cooked perfect and I was very happy with our selection. As the side we got the asparagus. It was all perfect. No complaints. I loved the guy walking around asking if we'd like some sliced tomato or scallion. Never seen that before! So after about only an hour we got out of there at around $160. But that was with 3 beers, glass of wine, 2 entrees and a side with tip.. I tipped a little extra.. The service definitely deserved it. This will be one of our all time favorites.

I wasn't in the mood for a steak. The braised short rib was just what the doctor ordered! Included mashed potatoes and some shoestring veggies. (Mom would be proud of me.) Ketel One Mule was the perfect cocktail, nice and clean for a hot and humid Florida night.

The bar area is great for after work drinks. Good selection of whiskeys and scotches, and a nice wine selection too. Something about staring at a wall of alcohol while enjoying a great drink... I recommend it for anyone looking for a cool, upscale yet unpretentious atmosphere.

Great food and service. The wine list comes on an ipad, our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was incredible; the III Forks salad is amazing (pecans, green apple, vinaigrette and bleu cheese) and the steak is great too. The seating area was pretty loud because there were larger groups seated. We got free dessert too for celebrating a graduation

tl;dr: Meh. I stopped by because it looked like an interesting new-classic quality steakhouse (advertising a Martini Bar on the marquee, no less) and I wanted to have a good place to bring friends when they came to town. Won't be going back. Drinks: I ordered a Vesper martini, popularized in the Casino Royale flick some years back and actually quite tasty when made even middling well. It's a gin/vodka martini with some Kina Lillet (or other suitable appertif) and a lemon twist. Ended up with a gin/vodka martini with olives. Oops. Had to correct, educate on the drink contents, send back, and go with dry vermouth for the final product in the absence of the Kina. Not bad, but not what I expected from a place explicitly advertising a martini bar. Dinner: I ordered a caesar salad and a steak. The staff was quite accommodating in throwing some anchovies on the salad for me, but I was put off with the what looked and was described as pre-packaged caesar dressing. I realize it's easier to do that way, but if the establishment is aspiring and pricing toward high-end, the bagged or bottled stuff doesn't cut it. We can tell. Filet was ordered medium-well. To my understanding (and wikipedia's - I checked) that means some pink in the middle. The steak was delivered with a steely gray all through. Oops. Didn't want to send back because I'd already made corrections on the drink. The waitress had repeated the orders to ensure correctness, so I don't think there was misunderstanding. I also learned that the items are all ordered a la carte. Make sure you get your veggies order in with whatever actual food you're getting, or else that filet looks awfully lonesome. All in all, I'd echo many of the earlier comments on the place - nice setup, nice atmosphere, decent but not exceptional service, but the actual food needs some attention.

Staff did not seem experienced with fine dining... All very young and the lady took my wine glass instead of bringing the bottle to the table. Very strange. Filet was good med rare as I ordered. Sides were salty. I'm a huge III Forks fan and was just overall disappointed with the food and service. They were not even busy.

i was in JAX recently for a business trip and my hotel was located in tapestry park. looking at the options around me.. this restaurant seemed like the best choice. i wasn't disappointed. i ordered the tenderloin tips with mashed potatoes. the meat was cooked to perfection.. extremely tender and great flavor. the mashed potatoes were also creamy and delicious. i practically licked my plate afterwards. the waitress was also great (wish i remember her name). she checked on me a few times but not overbearing. p.s. i sat in the front of the restaurant and didn't realize how big this place was until i walked to the back to find the restroom. really spacious and beautiful.

Totally average - not bad, but not really good either. Definitely not worth the price. Its about the same as Ruth's Chris but with a fraction of the quality and service. Service is about what you expect at Chili's, again not bad but certainly not worthy of fine(er) dining. Food was mediocre, nothing memorable at all. We didn't get steak which was probably a mistake but at a place like this you expect everything to be excellent. It wasn't anything to complain about but also nothing that will make us want to return. There are simply too many better options available for a lot less, which it too bad because it does have a great atmosphere.

It was Saturday night and we wanted to go somewhere nice for dinner (date night). We chose III Forks. I had no idea what to expect. I had never been there before. As soon as we arrived I was intrigued. The entrance is impressive with two very large glass encased walk-in wine cellars. Very cool! The hostess asked if we had a reservation which we did not and the wait was about an hour, so we were offered the bar area for dinner. It was a nice restaurant all to itself. We were welcomed by an attentive server right away. I mentioned wine and was promptly given an I-pad wine list. It was easy to navigate and offered so much information on the tastes and origins of the wines with a touch of the finger. Then after my selection of the Chamisal Chardonnay, it was on to choose an appetizer and entrée. We decided to try the Caprese salad which was amazing. I ordered the sirloin tips with mashed potatoes as my entrée and it did not disappoint! I had to order a cabernet of course. I had the Clos du Val. Everything was so delicious. The lighting was low, the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. The service was top notch. I am looking forward to going here again.

Food was OK, service is horrible especially if you come in with a group. The best part about this place is the ambience. For the price you pay for this, I would rather go to Ruth's Chris to get your moneys worth.

I went there 2 times within 3 weeks in Nov....They served me a cold NY Strip And it was a bad cut of meat. Waitress was bad and should not be working In the service business much less a 3 forks. The next visit we ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and it was terrible. The overall service was not bad but the bad entree was a downer. Been going there for years and Seems like Food quality and service has steadily declined recently.

We absolutely loved every aspect of our dinner. Everything is Amazing on the menu. The side dishes easily feeds two people. Dress Code is Smart Casual. Its best if you make a reservation especially during the Holidays.

Great place 24 for dinner. Service great and steaks done perfect. Jessica was the server and was absolutely great. Well done to 111 forks.

Big price tag; Sizzler quality steak. The food really left much to be desired. My $40 pepper corn steak was so fatty and stringy, I had to request extra napkins to keep spitting it out into. The wait staff was nice, and the food was fast. That earned it an extra star. I would advise you to skip this place. There are a million better spots in the area.

This place was WOW from beginning to end. We were invited to a dinner meeting here. The appetizer choices were lobster bisque or trinity salad. I choose the lobster bisque which had a huge amount of tasty perfectly cooked lobster in the dreamy creamy soup. Then I choose the grilled herb crusted salmon which came with garlic mashed potatoes and 3 rather thin asparagus tips. The salmon was slightly over cooked so a little dry but very tasty. Desert was a Texas pecan cake or a chocolate ganache cake. I just had to be outside the box again I choose the Texas pecan cake, which was ok but not great. From the initial WOW factor of the grand entrance and glass enclosed wine coolers and the smartly dressed servers with their monogrammed coats, the place really failed to deliver on wow with both food and service. (My meal was delivered to my neighbor and hers was given to me, we had to ask 3 different staff members for to go boxes, and we requested desert to be boxed as the program was over before dinner was cleared and at 9:00 pm after a long day it's time to go, some 30 min later we finally got it.) We had a great meeting but for large groups this venue leaves a lot to be desired.

Move over Peter Luger. III forks is in the house. I live in SF, and I'm a self proclaimed foodie. I came to vacation in Jacksonville/Orlando, and all my friends pointed us to this restaurant, and boy did it not disappoint! The ambiance was killer, but let's face it. It's all about the food right? Here we go. The tomato burrata salad is a must try. It's a symphony of subtle flavors, and a delicate balance of acidity and creamy goodness. Seared scallops topped with bacon jam is ridiculously good. Yup, I said it; "bacon jam". And of course, there's the steak. I highly recommend topping it with king's butter. It's almost a $10 upgrade, but you get the great flavors of truffles and foie gras over the beefy taste of the wet aged steak, giving you the richness of a kobe or omi beef. The transformation is well worth it! Try the bread pudding too. It's worth every calorie. This night, we tried five other desserts, but this one won us over. With a well trained staff, the service was top notch, anticipating our every need. The restaurant is managed incredibly well. I can't wait to go back. You want a dining experience, come, experience what fine dining is all about.

Id give 4 stars, my hubby says 5. Everything we had was good, just nothing made me say, WOW!! Ive had better lobster bisque & crab cakes, but these were good. My short ribs were tender and my hubbys steak, now that was serious...he had the bone in Filet with kings butter on top-the butter was the best part!! Overall, really nice restaurant, service was good( nothing special). I guess i just expect a restaurant with $$$ prices, to really impress me, and im not impressed. I eat out all the time and have had better food & service at the town center.

Meh, I wasn't expecting too much from a steak joint in this small shopping area. Everything tasted OK. I ordered the filet mignon and some sides. The filet was cooked perfectly, however it was salted to death. So much that I cut around the seasoned outside of the meat. The inside of the filet was delicious. Sides were uninspired and boring. I liked the cut creamed corn but it was simply way too sweet. Corn is sweet enough, I'd suggest to the chef to let the quality of the food let it's flavors speak. Over salting, buttering, and sweetening is making this food taste cheap. Cocktails were a bummer, and the server couldn't suggest anything else. A shame for a place where we could have spent a bit more for better cocktails.

Steakhouses can be elegant or focused. III Forks is both. It is an upscale steakhouse located off of Southside Blvd and Deer Park Rd. You have keep an eye out when first approaching it despite the large signage on the building as there is a roundabout that leads right to it, but it cannot be used to exit the establishment. Valet parking is available. As you enter the restaurant, class is what immediately comes to mind. There is a glass enclosed wine cellar and openings into a bar, various dining rooms and individual dining/meeting rooms. The menu has the usual mix of meats, fish and poultry. But steak is the attraction and featured menu selection. Your choice includes type of steak as well as size. All are available with a selection of various toppers to include my favorite King's Butter. Also available is a selection of Private Event dinner menus with various price points and alternative selections. As is normal in this type of venue, the sides are al cart. The food is wonderfully prepared. The dessert menu is limited but very tasty. The drink options are extensive and reasonably priced for this level of restaurant. This is a great dining experience for either business or a special night out for friends, family or that special person. As an aside the decor is vastly different from the Dallas location which is very cowboy oriented, larger and more wide open. But both present a great steak experience. While the other menu alternative are very good, steak is the basis of the attraction, at least for this diner.

My husband and I loved our visit at III Forks! We went for our anniversary and the staff was excellent and the food was amazing! We had the tuna app, III Forks salad, filet and the special which was filet medallions all with a different topping. Everything was fantastic and one of our favorite restaurants to date! Will definitely be going back time and time again!

I have been to the Three Folks Steakhouse a couple times, while at work in Jacksonville. Not an expert on Steakhouses, but the food and service here is really good. Almost everything that we have ordered is delicious. The hostess and the waitresses are nice. They have a good wine collection too. Really enjoyed each time I was there. Of course, being an upscale steakhouse, it is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Three Forks is an interesting night out. This is a really fun place to go, but be ready to shell out the $$$$. The minute you walk in you see a huge glittering fireplace in the main dining area. It's literally a wall of fire. At the entrance of the restaurant there are two large glass wine rooms to pick out a bottle wine. The night we arrived we didn't have reservations so we had to sit in the bar area or wait a while. We went for the bar area and it was quite loud and a little crowded, but a fun environment. Our server came over immediately and asked for a drink order but didn't offer any recommendations on what they actually had available for drinks. We asked for a drink menu and she brought back an iPad which allowed us to browse the drink menu via the iPad. That was kind of a cool concept, but the drink app was not very intuitive. For dinner I tried the 8 ounce filet, lobster mac & cheese, sautéed mushrooms, fingerling potatoes, and the onion rings. I have to say the fillet was excellent! The lobster mac & cheese had a vague lobster flavor but there was no (even small) pieces of lobster to be found in it. I was kind of disappointed since that was a $19.95 side item. It was essentially just mac & cheese. The sautéed mushrooms and the fingerling potatoes tasted okay, they seem to have little or no seasoning. Which is good if you're on a restricted diet but it really affected the flavor, so I found them a little too bland. The amount we paid for dinner, which was a lot, I expected a lot more flavor and better service. Our server wasn't terrible, but certainly was not up to the par I would've expected at this type of restaurant. I would go back, but maybe next time with a reservation to sit in the main dining area.

Great vibe. Electric even. Young, hip crowd, but also some families dining in the main dining room. A little pricey for the food and drinks, but the food was very good. Our waitress was not very knowledgeable about the menu, but she was attentive and passed by pretty often despite a crowded room.

Don't waste your time going here! The food is not worth it. My husband took me here for Valentine's Day with another couple...the place is decorated beautifully but the service and food weren't great at all. We all got the valentines couple special so maybe it was the day we came but some of the food came out cold and they didn't have the size lobster that was advertised. I thought the waitress should have offered whether we would want a bigger one at the same price or to adjust the bill without the lobster. The lobster we needed up getting was not good at all. My husband and I both ordered our steaks the same way but his came out extremely dry and he didn't enjoy it at all and mine came out perfect. The waitress wasn't that friendly and seemed annoyed to be working that day. There are tons of restaurants in jax that have much better service and food and cost way less. Needless to say we won't be going back.

I've been here three times to eat, and number of other times in their lounge. Definitely the place to see and be seen near Tapestry Park, and competes directly with Capital Grille and Seasons 52 near St. John's Town Center. I prefer the servers in the bar to those I've had when I've eaten there, though I've had the same server twice when eating there and am not her biggest fan. The others may be better. If you eat at the bar, however, the bartenders are very attentive, friendly, and not unattractive. The atmosphere is very comfortable. It's definitely upscale, but comfortable at the same time. The fireplace that runs along the wall if you enter from the valet stand is great, but as I found out when we sat near it for dinner, throws off some heat. If you are looking for a romantic meal this is a nice spot, but avoid sitting in the lounge or in the in-between area between the lounge and the primary dining area. For appetizers the bacon wrapped scallops are terrific, and they are happy to prepare them without the bacon if you are not a fan. Searing a scallop properly is not an easy task, but it is done well here. The Wedge salad is also outstanding, and if you are looking for a light or more reasonable meal in a nice setting, this could fit the bill all by itself. The waiters also occasionally walk around and provide delicious sliced beefsteak tomatoes. A nice touch. No dry aged steaks here that I am aware of ( I love dry aged steaks) but the meat is tremendous regardless. I've had the bone-in Ribeye as well as several filets and have not been disappointed. In all visits the steaks were cooked to order perfectly. III Forks definitely walks the lone between a 4 and 5 star place per my criteria. If I had been more impressed with the wait staff I've had in the dining area, it would be receiving 5 stars without question.

The III Forks steaks are the best in town, we think. Consistently flavorful and unadulterated with butter or sauces. Restaurant is beautiful - see if you can reserve a booth for extra quiet.

came here on a whim with some random guys i met that were also on business travel. i didnt know anything about this place so coming in, i was surprised at how fancy and nice it was inside. from that point, i decided to go all out with ordering the food: Cobb salad: not a huge fan of salad but the tomatoes were perfectly ripe and they didnt over do the dressing like most places do Filet Oscar: the crab on top was awesome. and i got it cooked med/med rare, and it was PERFECT!!!! chilean sea bass oscar: i didnt know you could get this oscared too! it was freaking amazing. the fish was cooked so perfectly it just flaked off. new york strip: cooked well. what we decided to order as our side......drum roll please.... 16 oz lobster tail, chopped up into bits and FRIED served with lemon berblanc. freakin amazing. the service was awesome. the cocktails were tasty. the food was great. the seafood i thought was way better than the actual steaks. just be prepared to drop a hefty penny. bill came out to $300 for 3 of us. but we did order a TON of food!

I came here for a Friday night date because Eric wanted to indulge. Eric got a ribeye steak with the 3 forks salad while I got the summer menu which was 3 courses for $43. Eric's salad was pretty good- and this comes from a person who hates salad. The pungent blue cheese and light dressing was a typical yet good combination. Eric didn't share his steak, but he did mention that it was better than Capital Grille, so I guess it wasn't too bad! I got the scallop crusted with pistachios, a lobster bisque (Eric ordered the lobster bisque and i ordered the salad and then we switched) and the rack of lamb. The scallop was large and tender and cooked very well and was my favorite thing of the night. It wasn't too creative, but the flavors were good and inspired me to make something at home in my own kitchen. The lobster bisque was a bit strange and had a very displeasing aroma. I felt like I might have been drinking some bad rotten seafood soup. It was a little watery and the flavor was underwhelming. It wasn't terrible, but I would steer away from that next time. My lamb was cooked well and had a lot of flavor. Again, it was OK but nothing amazingly spectacular. For the overall price, however, I would say that I enjoyed my meal and thought it was good for what I paid for (especially since Eric's steak alone was the same price!) The one thing was the service. The servers are on the older side and I guess that also means they are incredibly slow.. like... incredibly slow. I like enjoying my night and my meal but I really don't want to spend 30 minutes at a restaurant before I order my drinks! I also went to the bathroom and noticed that the hostess did not wash her hands..... In the end, the service and people not really the best, the food was OK. The price of the menu (minus the special 3 course menu) is a bit high. If you're going to have high prices, you should have some high quality service. I may or may not come back- it will depends on how rich I'm feeling and how much spare time I have...

Came in without a reservation and was able to snag two seats at the bar. The service there was great. One bartender so was great, when I told her we were in from out of town she made a list of places we should go eat at. As far as the food, the Filet was amazing. It was much bigger than I thought it would be. I asked for it with some blue cheese, which they did, it was also seasoned with a peppery crust which was amazing. Pair it with the baked potato and you can't go wrong. Wine list came on an IPad, which I guess is trendy, the only problem I had with it was the wine by glass selection was a bit small, it could have been written on a napkin, it sure didn't need the whole IPad. Overall though, the decor alone was worth the visit. Two entrees, two glasses of wine and two sides for about $120 with tip. Not bad.

Went for our anniversary. Made a last minute reservation and was able to get in. Seated promptly and got some drink orders in. Had a private table in the corner which was great for quiet conversation. Service was great. Meals came out promptly. Wifey order a salmon salad and the portion size of the salad was a little much but said the seasoning of the fish and combination with the salad were great. I opted for a strip steak and salad and both were right on par. This was my second time here and they've both been great experiences. I definitely recommend them if you're looking for a great meal and excellent service.
