Hurricane Grill & Wings Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

The food never disappoints, especially the Garlic Parmesan Fries! Today I tried the pulled pork sliders with Traditional BBQ sauce. They were , errr....traditional. Exactly what I wanted. The fries are to die for. You have to try these!!! Service was the best I could have asked for. And the mileu, excellent for football season!

Small grill and bar inside but a patio about doubles the interior seating. Live music going on a Friday night. Menu heavy on wings (boneless and bone in varieties) didn't sample any but many sauce options available. Tried the Caribbean chicken with the garlic parmesan broccoli and Caribbean rice. Chicken was juicy and sauce had a little heat with the Jamaican Jerk seasoning, Caribbean rice a bit different take with yellow rice, black beans, jalapeño pieces and pineapple bits and red and green pepper. Several options for kids with a selection of sides including a salad option. Wife tried the shrimp tacos and tomatoes with cilantro and onions. She thought the tacos were good. Portions are appropriately sized. If you have a big appetite you will probably need to have appetizers. Menus also has a section of 575/calories or less options. We will try again and see what the wing situation looks like. Need to find a decent place for wings and NFL games.

Good again. And news is they are expanding so this will help during those busy times. I'm sure the bar will expand as well. Just a great place to relax and eat some great bar chow. Good meals too.

The only good thing about this place is that servers butt, you now the one...that's why your husbands come home late ladies. That's not saying anything bad bout the servers their great but the food is just too pricey for what you get. They raised the prices and be careful they like to charge you for full orders of Parm fries even if you ask to just upgrade the fries that come with your order(which is just a buck I think). If you ever order carryout double check your orders cause no one else does, there's so many times my order was wrong I just quit ordering they also like to pour cold cold sauce on the hot chicken no tossing no interest in making your food look nice eating there the saving grace is the cold beer and that great butt!

Best Wings in St Aug by far!!! Great service, indoor/outdoor seating and multiple TV's. They also allow dogs outside :)

Tasty good quality wings and sauces.I usually pickup and bring home as the interior seems cramped with not much seating. New location opening on SR13 near Julington Creek Marina.

UPDATE ALERT: Thank you to the restaurant representative who contacted me regarding my original review. This individual was receptive to my concerns and did not hesitate to correct them. I greatly appreciate the response from this restaurant representative. Since my original review, I have visited Hurricane Grill & Wings (HGW) multiple times - a few dine ins and have made a few take out orders. Everything has been great each time: The seasoning on the grouper has been even and delicious, the chips have not been over-salted, the tea has been fantastic, and the staff has been relatively friendlier. I love dining at locations with live music & I recently learned that HGW on CR 210 now offers live music on some nights. Hooray!

Ive held off on writing a review on this place for a while now because it's actually one of my favorite spots; however after tonight's visit I've come to the conclusion that their just going down hill and I've got to blame management. Food isn't quite what it used to be (1+ yrs ago) but overall still pretty good & the wings still hit the spot. Service has been mediocre and the bar needs some new supervision I think too... Couple of the popular beers were out of stock, the specials they were running were sold out, and I noticed some employees were drinking in their work attire at the bar tops (which was never acceptable from my serving days). Lastly, the restrooms were about as good as a jaguars portable toilet tower. The men's room was a bit unsanitary (clogged wash sink and only a free standing roll of towels that every dude put his wet paws all over to dry off with) and the females had a non closing broken stall door that was still unfixed from the last visit (according to the wifey :)) of which we were told the manager was advised of multiple times....We'll be back but I feel this place is slowly losing it's 210 charm.

Waited patiently 45 minutes , told 15 minutes before we left table being cleaned . Then told sorry our manager gave to another later arriving group. Hurricanes just lost 3 families ( couples ) business in this area .

I like that this place is small. I am so tired of gigantic restraurants. So to counteract the other reviews I like the size. Food was good for a franchise. I like that it is close to my house when I have a bad food craving. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't a chain. Come on Jacksonville bring in the local businesses!

Stopped in to see the remodel. Nice job. The larger patio allowed us to bring our dog. Food was good and plenty of room for a lot of people on patio. We will be back.

Always understaffed, too small, average service and food is just so so. This place used to be so much better when they opened and compared to the others across town this one is my least favorite, only pro is the convenience for us.

The owner's of this location are really great people and have brought free wings to several of our community related events! Which is fantastic as the food here is YUMMY!!! I have many favorites here but, of all things, this carnivore loves their Veggie Burger! This burger is not stiff and flavorless, but on the contrary, has a really nice texture and is seasoned well. You can actually see carrot and other ingredients within the patty itself. Nice!! Now I am sure that Hurricanes does not make this Veggie Burger, but I commend them for having such a good quality patty on their extensive menu! If you like wings, Hurricanes have a really great sampler which you can create. This is a great solution for the undecided, as there are so many wing flavors to try here!! Note: This location is tiny, and although there is outdoor seating, it is still difficult to get a seat during peak eating times. There is always plenty of parking however.

This place made me laugh a bit. It was so tiny and couldn't imagine actually eating there. Anyway we did carry out and ordered about 50 wings varying in flavors. Maybe I'm just a picky wing person, but I just didnt like them... At all.... I like my wings meaty, but crispy. These were skimpy and mushy. It's almost like they were baked and not fried. The sauces we had were ok. Nothing special at all. The honey BBQ and garlic parmesan wings were really bad. Anyway, if you don't like your wings kinda crispy, then you make like it. I also felt the wings were way overpriced... I'll definitely not go back unless they have a deal (buy one get one) or lower their prices to under 40 cents a wing.

  • Mark B.

We moved away from this area a year ago......and our family is missing this spot!! The wings are phenomenal when ordered a little bit crispier ( yep you can and should do that ) they serve them a little soft for some tastes but that is because they don't want to overlook them....smart. That being said I have never taken anyone there (tons of family and friends) who did not love this place. Yes it is small, with some outdoor seating...so there may be a short wait for seating. But don't worry, the staff is going to take care of you, and make you feel right at home. Whatever you do try the cheese fries.....pretty sure Jesus makes those himself. The sweet potato fries are pretty darn great as well. My personal favorite wings are the apple bourbon but you really should try as many flavors as you can.....they all will satisfy.

We gave Hurricane Wings a shot and I have to say I was disappointed. The Wings were not crispy but rather slimy and under cooked I am not sure but I do not think they were fried. We tried a few sauces like the honey BBQ, garlic parmesan and Buffalo style and we were not impressed at all. The one positive note was that the fries were hot and crispy. This is a small place and it is very loud, I will not be going back any time soon.

I have been to this location half a dozen times and they are usually okay. However, I picked up 50 wings two weeks ago with friends and were sorely disappointed. What at first we thought were two flavors that tasted similar (got two flavors) we soon realized that these wings had no sauce at all! They were wet but only with grease and oil and they were terrible. For over a $1 per wing you'd expect some decent chicken wings. This experience truly ruined this restaurant for me. I like wings, I want to give them another shot. But after wasting $50+ on a meal that was utterly unenjoyable they don't deserve my patronage. Hurricanes needs to stop adding new things to their menu and focus on mastering the chicken wing first.

Good variety of food. Small restaurant. Horrible seating. Tables right in front of the bathrooms? Do yourselves (owners) a favor - acquire the place next door to increase seating and general atmosphere of the restaurant.

About the smallest of the chain I've ever seen (probably because they opted for the tiny end unit to have a patio for the smoking crowd) and the most inconsistent, but currently the only option for wings on 210 (or anywhere in St. Johns, for that matter). While the staff is good, many of the wing sauces are watered down. If you happen to get a to go order with sauce on the side be sure to ask for a few containers, as even large orders usually only come with one. Other menu items are decent but there's nothing really outstanding in the mix. Hopefully they will step it up (and expand into the unit next door, which is up for rent).

Super small inside. Wings are ok.. Staff is great...

  • Danielle M.

Disappointing. I was really looking forward to their wings and they were not good at all. We had 14 people in our party and our waitress paid little to no attention to us. She didn't offer her name, talk to us, anything. Someone else took our water orders and it took her ten minutes to take our food. We asked if we could add an extra sauce to our 200 hundred wing order and she was unsure if that "could happen", and then got it completely wrong. We had to ask twice for plates, three times for silverware and she never checked in on us. I spoke with the manager when we left and explained what happened and he said she had a rough table before us and couldn't get over it. He said he cut her and sent her home because she had such an attitude. If it wasn't for the gratuity that was Automatically added in she wouldn't of gotten a tip at all.

Decided to check it out after a friend complimented thier wings. I felt like I was eating in an upscale Captain D's. The wings were par ( better places to get wings in town if that's what your're looking for) and service just OK.

The hubs and I love hurricane wings. Delicious options for all the 30 wing flavors! Our fave is the garlic parm wings with parm fries. And always get the fried pickles with the delish spicy dipping sauce.

  • Eugene P.

There are a few wing places on CR 210 and Hurricane wings seem to taste the best because they have the wings marinated in the sauce. Most places along the road just cook the wings and pour over the sauce and hand it to you. Well, I can just about do the same. The burgers are just as good as The Loop down the road and the garlic & parmesan fries are a great to go with. Then you can wash it down with one of many nice cold beers on tap on their outdoor patio. I gave the 5th star because they have these "Ridiculously Hot Hurricane Sauce" that lives up to its name. I could only take one bite only which extreme pain on my lips and tongue soon followed. That had to be the spiciest wing I have ever ran across. You have been warned. EDIT: Thanks Dale for pointing out the obvious map misrepresentation. Those that want to find the location on Google map might want to type in 3170 Highway 210, Fruit Cove, FL instead. Not exact but close enough.
