Dinner could have been a lot better tonight. We came for a late dinner and I ordered the garlic herb sirloin and my mom requested the tilapia. I started with a Caesar. It was passable - romaine, cheese, croutons and a lemony dressing. Entrees came out shortly thereafter. The tilapia was cooked properly and was enjoyed. My steak was ordered medium well and came out rare. As in blood on the plate rare. They took it back and it came out a few minutes later with the cut end browned and still rare. It came back a third time steaming hot, gray, and tasteless. Microwave, anyone?? I declined the steak and it was removed off the bill. Our server Sam was nice, efficient and kept apologizing for the bad steak. He even brought out kettle chips while I was waiting. He was good and I learned my lesson to not deviate from my usual wings order.

Crab cake sliders were delicious but they screwed up my son's order and then argued with us over the meaning of a medium-well burger. Last I checked, it didn't mean dry and charred :/

Food great! poor customer service during big events. I place an order during super bowl hubby picked up and brought home it was not correct. When I call the female was rude, I placed another order the next week that was not correct upon receipt the same female was very rude. I will never do business with establishments with poor customer service.. Rudeness is never acceptable

We have been coming here since they opened but food quality continues to go downhill. We always eat the same thing and it no longer tastes, looks and feels freshly prepared and cooked. Twice burned is all the chances they get from us.

Since we learned Hurricanes was under new ownershipn, we had our "Secret Santa" luncheon and gift exchange there. The staff was attentive to our table bringing drinks and appetizers timely. We had so much fun tasting the many choices of mild to extremely hot sauces for our wings. Everyone enjoyed their food but the desserts are to die for. We are going back for Trivia night!

A good place to grab wings and PBR special. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. The wings aren't out of this world or anything, but they offer a bunch of flavors for you to try out.

I live right next door so this is definitely a really easy place to come when we don't feel like cooking but after tonight I honestly doubt I'll be back. Wings have been super over cooked the last month or so and the service is just awful and not one to complain seeing as I'm a server myself but when the guests feel like you're unhappy just taking our wing order...that's bad service. Sorry. Plus she went on a smoke break when we were clearly finished so we had to wait an extra 10 minutes just to get our check. Not okay.

We went here to celebrate our moving down to Jacksonville. It was busy and looked like a great place. The Service was ok but it seemed like the staff was sad or at best going just through the motions in dealing with customers. nobody working seemed happy. For dinner we ordered wings and nachos. the wings were ok. They were hot. It was the best part of the dinner. The nachos were sloppy, messy and just not very good. And, to top it off the chips were stale. I would suggest trying another location. I know the one in St. Augustine is pretty good.

The food is sub-par. The server forgot my drink 3 times. They took so long getting our salads out that they upgraded them to the dinner portion (instead of the side) and therefore couldn't eat all of anything I got. Thanks for the lousy time. The size of the place made it near impossible to even slide your chair out enough to stand up without bashing into the table behind you. The only thing I did like about this place was the bathroom and the cheese fries.

I wish I had checked out the star count before visiting this location. Look when this Hurricane Grill opened, the wings were hot and fresh; the food, including the burgers/tacos/entrees were hot and delicious. But like most restaurants in Jacksonville, it opens with great food and service, and slowly it rots away (ie Tilted Kilts, Brios, the list goes on and on) I've been to this location many times, and each time the food gets slowly worse. This past week when I was there, the food was so bad, I had to write a quick yelp review. The menu has become way too extensive, and that's usually a bad sign because there's no way a chef can cook wings and have the culinary skills to prepare crab cakes and fish as well. I ordered the hot wings, and they were luke warm at best and not spicy at all. In fact, I couldn't distinguish between the 2 flavors of wings I ordered. I also had the Mahi Mahi and the crab cakes. They were both under cooked and had absolutely no taste. The sides it came with, fries, and broccoli were also not very fresh. How do you mess up broccoli? The worst part is the restaurant is charging $15 a plate, which is how much they would cost at a "high end" restaurant. Terrible food, horrific valueI won't come back.

I love wings... so when I saw the word "Wings" in restaurant name, I had to try it. Unfortunately, I was a disappointed by their food. We went in late afternoon so to beat the dinner crowd. We were one of the handful of tables there, so the service was not bad at all. We tried their parm & garlic fries, which was very yummy. As for the wings, they boasted 30 flavors of wings and we opted to try their sampler, which is 20 wings with up to four flavors for 20 bucks. I was disappointed that the wings basically were fried and drenched with large amout of each of the sauces we ordered. The flavors we ordered were Fire & Ice, Jaimacan Jerk, Parm and Garlic, and Thai Ginger. The Fire & Ice was ok. The Jaimacan Jerk was really bland and not really spicy even though I think it was in category 4? The Thai Ginger was really sweet, definitely not what I expected. The Parm and Garlic was disappointing in that I tasted mostly the spicy sauce (buffalo sauce) and very little hint of parm and garlic. The wings size was good, I was just disappointed by the flavor of the sauces.

I always enjoy dropping by for either a quick meal or a couple of drinks. Great bar service from Jennifer, Katie, Cat and the bar staff! I have numerous choices of establishments to frequent but I enjoy the personalized service from Jennifer and others!

Fantastic day with excellent service, always asked us for new beers before they were empty, beers were ice cold, great fries, great wings, good TV ratios for football, can't wait to go back!!!

I would say this is about a 2.5 star rating. It's almost a three but I've never really had something here to bump it up that extra half star. I ordered the Parmesan fries because they have never let me down. They were just as yummy as I was hoping. I also ordered the burger sliders as my meal and as my side I chose the garlic parm broccoli. Can you tell I like garlic Parmesan? Well anyways the burgers were aiight loaded with onions, like the onions took over the burger. I had a pile of them on the side of my plate because there were so many. And the broccoli was much to be desired. If I had to order this exact thing again I would just go to Chilis. They have the same food but they do it much better. Overall the meal reflects the 2.5 stars I'm giving it. I should have stayed home and ate left overs. I also ordered a margarita. I wanted the special for $2 and asked for top shelf. Just charge me the extra. They gave me a fancy glass and I didn't realize till I got my bill they charged me for a "hurricanes margarita" and also the extra $2 for Patron. I ended up knocking the glass off my table by accident so I ended up paying $9.99 for a freaking drink that I didn't even get to drink. They didn't even offer to replace it. Not very good customer service if you ask me. I really want to like this place but it's the food that just isn't that great. I feel like maybe they just hurry too much and don't take the time to make it look or taste good.

I must say it is a hit or miss here at Baymeadows location !!!! I've had really great nights, and I've had some pretty bad nights!! The wings are really good when done right, but some time can be dry and overlooked !!! The burgers have always been pretty consistent... My favorite is the appetizer fish dip !! Really tasty, nicely presented, and plenty to share !!!!

This location usually has great service (just don't order from the bar or takeout) and great food. They have daily specials and Sunday night trivia if you're interested in feeling not as smart as the table of retirees across the room. It's a great time anyway! Come here on a cool day and eat out on the patio. It is very relaxing. Parking here can be tricky. Be prepared to park at the back of the lot.

I am new to Jacksonville. Ordered the 15 ct. Boneless hot wings with a side of onion rings. I came in after lunch hours where there was barely any business, and my food took longer than I expected to come out. The wings were over cooked, and slapped on with sauce I did not ask for. Also received my side of onion rings as I was attempting to eat the wings 15 min. after my food arrived to the table. I will no longer eat here again.

Sorry service, super slow motion, our server is from another planet one that has no restaurants The worst service ever in the entire universe, nothing like the one in riverside. The place was almost empty so I should have known.........try a different place if you want service.

In town for the weekend and wanted some wings. Seen this place and decided to give it a try. Wings were great. And not too bad priced. Wait staff was very friendly and nice. Definitely will be coming back.

This was my first visit to the Hurricane on Baymeadows, and it was definitely forgettable. We walked in around 4pm to an almost empty house, that should have been my warning. Our waiter strolls over, hands us menus and asks for our drink order. We asked for a minute to decide, since this place looked like a specialty drink kind of place. Well a minute turns into about 5-6 min. Anyways my mom and I order a Pirates something which looked like a non-frozen piña colada and my dad got the blue hurricane. When the drinks FINALLY arrived after 8-10 minutes the only saving grace was that those pirate drinks were delicious!!! The food shows up a while later, and it's ok, not bad but definitely nothing special at all. The burger had too strong of a char on it to where it tasted burnt. Our waiter was so slow and unfriendly that it just made me really anxious and couldn't even enjoy the "vacation" atmosphere. My dad asked him how a particular sauce was and his reply: "some people like it".... really? That's a GREAT description. Is it spicy, sweet, what?? The one in San Marco is much better, definitely will not be back to this location.

Stopped by and met with friends on Saturday. Same great service but the kitchen was a little off. I ordered the Hurricane Nachos and the toppings were a little off, not enough to cover all of the tortilla chips. What was there was good but the kitchen shouldn't be so skimpy. We will go back.

What can I say about Hurricane's Grill & Wings... This place rocks.....great food, great people, great atmosphere. I've been going to Hurricanes since it opened. All of the Bar staff is great, Brad and Travis do a great job making sure that everyone has what they need. The wings are fantastic, they have many different options however my favorite is Cyclone. I might also recommend the Nachos...the ancholime sauce gives them just enough flavor to keep them from being ordinary. Additional for dinner the Fish sandwich is really great as well. There are special every night of the week, so whether you are looking for a great neighborhood place to eat dinner, or just looking to socialize look no further than hurricanes..

This place has gone down hill with the new ownership. Nice guy (I met him) tried to tell him exactly what the bartender told me and I agree with her. They should of never raised the drink prices and got rid of some specials. The change of management is not for the better. I down grade it from 4 to 3 stars. Reason it has gotten much slower. Drink specials are not so special anymore. Still not a bad place at all. I still go.

Came here for dinner with friends. All got wings and all loved the variety and taste. Pleasantly surprised given reviews. I'm glad I gave this neighborhood joint a chance and I'm looking forward to coming again.

The wings are not too terrible, but they are not too great either. Nice flavor assortment of sauces still, but the wings themselves are too overcooked. Service is lackluster and without any lunch specials here, it is no wonder the place is nearly empty at lunch time. I used to love Hurricane at a different location, but I would not recommend bothering with this location.

One of the top three worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Horrible server, horrible mixed drinks, waited almost an hr for our food due to an alleged "huge to go order", when we finally called a manager 45 mins later to ask about our food, they brought us chips and salsa and acted like it was a huge favor that they didn't charge us for them. 10 mins later our food came out, 2 out of 3 entrees were inedible (pink undercooked chicken), and we were told the ticket had just gone in 15 mins earlier. So the waitress never put it in! She also kept asking me over and over again how my repaired mixed drink was. Ummmm, why do you keep asking me repeatedly how one mixed drink tastes??? Finally I got irritated after the 6th or 7th time and answered "the same as the last time you asked". She asked me a few more times before we left about how it was. Horrible service. Horrible food. I've been to another hurricanes and loved it. This one however? Stay away!

Paying $35 for wings and a Mahi Mahi sandwich isn't justified. The garlic parm fries they're known for aren't that great. The service isn't anything to rave about. Their staple is wings which are so heavily breaded to the point it's not even enjoyable. Not coming back.

We go to this location about three times a month. Service is OK but food is always consistent and beer is cold. Also great beer specials all the time. My girlfriend and I think for the money and the cold beer it is worth it. One complaint. They switched to a cheaper vodka and the drinks suffer. Love the new outside area..

We ate here the other evening, been several times. Been meaning to write a review. All good! Starts with the staff, seem to rotate folks pretty regular, but all are very good and friendly. Service starts with a handshake and of course ends the way all restaurant meals do, with the tip. Wings are in my opinion at this point, the best in town. Live at the beach and drive by several well known wing places to get here. OK granted I use a storage center close by as well, but that is a different review. Wings are good, drinks are good, beer is cold, staff is good. Most of all they allow you to be creative with your order and mix and match the flavors, pretty unusual for local wings places. Have several work friends that have gone and all enjoy as well. Certainly worth a try. Cannot wait for the Atlantic Beach grand opening!!!! For me, means more wings and less gas. That would be gas for the car of course. :)

This is an "ok"place to go If you don't want to drive all the way to the towncenter. same bar food. Nothing special.

My wife and I went there around the time of their grand opening, nothing different, same type bar food and the wings were a ditto of other wing places in Jacksonville. We opted to give the restaurant another try, just as bad as the first. We will never go back, save your money. Very small and noisy.

tried twice, disappointed twice. went there on a recommendation of a former employee. she promised french fries that were not frozen (nearly impossible find nowadays, sadly) and great wings. fries were indeed frozen and the wings meh. Tried it again, thinking maybe I was being too picky. Tonight the bartender didn't greet me, but had to be summoned by another guest for me. I told him to finish what he was doing as he was clearly not mentally present. He spent several minutes installing beer, while cursing, slamming things, then asked me "what do you want??" then caught himself and asked in a nicer tone and better words. I asked him about a beer on tap, he started to answer then rushed off to service another patron. then he appeared to take on more orders. I left the bar as I did not want his service anymore and sat outside where there was live music (it sucked) and waited for a waitress. After the 2nd song and no waitress I left. Really?? This is a business??

The wings are marginal at best. They lack flavor to include, I had to return an order due to lack of taste. I also ordered the fried pickles, an order I love, but they had some obstructing taste which added to my dislike of the food.
