Nice people BUT service is no good. In VA we can get Boneless Naked Wings. Here in FLA the waitress said they can't do boneless naked like it is impossible to grill small chucks of chicken and throw some sauce on them. And holy cow Hooters, $.99 for an extra little bit of ranch or blue cheese. You're showing all the signs of a chain that is going out of business if you don't change/keep up with the times. PLUS the A/C was out and they didn't roll up the big garage doors to vent the place out. Bad Management! Bad Experience! NO real silverware/cutlery. WOW!

This particular location can be very busy due to it's location, so plan accordingly... The service here is good... The restaurant is kept clean... The food is decent... My particular favorite is the wings.... They are delicious no matter how you order them. If the weather is nice out be sure to get a table on the patio outside, so you can enjoy our beautiful city.

The service was good at this Hooters as the staff was very accommodating to us - Thank you. A little smaller than the hooters that I'm used to in the Tampa Bay area, it does seem as if seating can sometimes be a little tough to get on a Saturday night as we had to wait about a half hour to be seated but once we did the staff accommodated our large group of 14. this location did have a nice view of the Jacksonville dock and had alot of outdoor seating, but I did notice that a certain section of the restaurant was closed which probably explained why it was tough to get a seat that night. As for The chicken wings, we ordered 50 wings (20 naked mild + 20 breaded mild + 10 daytona) and was disappointed as they did not taste like the hooters quality that ive known to love back home. Very greasy, and not crispy at all, the wings just tasted awful. Also the celery wasn't crisp as ive been known to remember as a few of our pieces was soggy which made it pretty distasteful. Could have just been a bad night for the kitchen but based on my experience that night I just wasn't a fan.

Ok, this was the first time I have been to this location and not have to stand in a long line. I give this Hooters 3 stars for the service for Today's Visit. Our bar attendant Ciara, was a hoot ! She entertained us by rapping and dancing. She even cracked jokes. We were served quickly and with a smile. What I like about Ciara was that as she made each drink she told us the name and what was in it . I ordered the signature drink Orange Shorts which is a drink that has orange flavor and pinnacle whipped vodka and more kinds of juice mix (taste like a orange cream Popsicle .) So refreshing.

Bar tenders are nice. The servers are okay. The food is the usual hooters food.Take a seat outside and that shall cover up for it!

Let's start off the service is slow. I've seen tone of t/a, does not make up for the slow service. The smooth over we had a shift change, train your staff, all staff to replace others, when you have a lack of service. I asked another waitress to that my order, she can't take beer orders, YOU are A WAITRESS. BRING PLATES AND NAPKINS TO THE TABLE really.....damn. I asked for manager never met her. Bring glasses, and we have a sister waitress Samantha is not a good waitress, our waitress recovered my apologies. Thank you Joyy, everyone see Joyy she is a saver

This is a perfect example where I should have read the reviews. In town for business and wanted a meal and a beer. Zero of those 2 items were even remotely good. First beer was sent back, warm as hell. So I asked for a Dos Equis, it tasted awful. Drank 1/4 and gave up. I'm a hooters wings fan, there were burnt and terrible. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews. Tourist trap and crap food. Go elsewhere.

I'm here to watch the NBA playoffs. Cavaliers vs Bulls in Eastern Playoff semifinals. Beer is cold! Malia looks great and she's very attentive to my needs! Great service! They even let me choose the tv I wanted to watch the game!

Known for their Wings and Legendary Waitress uniforms, which consist of Low Cut White tank tops, orange short shorts, high top white socks and white sketchers. If not for the view of the river which can be seen at the tables outside and the tables closest to the floor to ceiling glass windows I probably wouldn't come here. Don't get me wrong, the food isn't bad per se but not my preference. I went on Saturday with a group of guys, surprise surprise they wanted to come for two reasons, the view of the water and the view of the girls ;) we waiting in a line outside for about 15 minutes before being seated. When we sat down our waitress was all smiles and very friendly. Between everyone we ordered a couple burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, curly fries and beers. I do like some of their sauces, the garlic parmesan wings tasted as good as they smelled! And who doesn't like curly fries, they are just too fun! We were able to get a couple of free Miller Light beers because their were two Miller Light promo girls walking around the restaurant. That was pretty cool. As far as atmosphere, it was pretty noisy but that's to be expected, with at least 10 TV screens projecting from every corner with numerous sports games on. The kitchen is also partially out in the open so you can essentially watch them prepare your food. The bathrooms and floors however were pretty filthy, they need a good deep cleaning. My flip flops kept sticking to the floor. :-/

As a group after a performance, we're all starving to death. They were able to accommodate us 12 of us. Unfortunately we have to divide our group into two coz they were pretty full. We don't mind as we always work it out. Our server is so bubbly and she looks like one of our member but all in all she did a good job with all of us wanting and asking for something! I think her name was Alejle. Wings always great! The only thing was that one of our member drink order did not arrived for a while.

What can I say besides it's Hooters.....The wings are pretty good, atmosphere ok, server okay as well. She was new so it is what it is. She was very friendly and polite. The best thing about this place is its location. It is in Jacksonville Landing, so it overlooks the St. Johns River.

This is the first time we have been to Hooters and I must admit I found it to be rather sad. The staff were not very welcoming and we didn't see a single smile (I am sure smiles are not the reason many go there for but as a middle aged couple we like to see happy friendly staff) To me it felt like the servers were not really happy working there and although this is not a place we would normally go too we have always heard the food is actually quite good. I had the tempura fish and I must say it was excellent and there a HUGE serving of 5 pieces - way more than I could eat.. Hubby had a buffalo chicken salad and he enjoyed the food too although he would of liked a little more chicken and less onion. For us - the one downside was that we almost felt like we were an embarrassment to them and put in the 'old foggies section' - we were put at a table out on the patio side and were the only ones out there. There was plenty of tables inside as it was not at all busy - we arrived at Sunday lunchtime. We can at least cross it off the list of places to visit but I don't think we will visit a Hooters again.

Terrible beyond words. If hooters management is reading this you need to clean house at this location. Probably some of the worst service I've EVER experienced. Manager too incompetent to turn the volume on the correct tv. Our waitress came to our party of six one time. Said she was sooo busy. Two in our party did not get their order. Two items on our bill we never received. Total lack of management and basics customer service. I've been to hooters locations in six states, this is hands down the worst I've ever experienced. I very rarely write reviews but this one deserves it. Will never give this place another dime. This may have been some of the worst service I've ever experienced. This is why you are struggling hooters, piss poor service and quality. Never again.

On a night out at the Landing before dancing at Mavericks my friend and I stopped here for some grub. My favorite meal is the 1/2 lb steamed shrimp, I always ask for extra seasoning on the side since once you peel the shrimp the seasoning stays on the shell and not the shrimp! The service here was not the best on my visit, I sat at the bar which was packed at 7:30 on a Saturday evening and patiently waited. After about 5 minutes the waitress gave me a menu and took my request for water. 10 minutes later I still had no water but could see someone on the opposite side of the bar drinking something that looked amazing. I flagged the waitress down and asked what it was, SANGRIA! They sell it by the "Big Daddy" glass or by the pitcher. I ordered a big daddy and waited another 10 minutes for her to make it. They make it fresh for each glass so it takes some time, was well worth it and only $7!

Second time around. Waitress was rude and hurried even though the place was half empty. Food was mediocre and service sloppy. Come if you must buy don't expect much.

We stopped in for some drinks Saturday night after dinner. Crowd was nice... we sat at the Bar, and had a Tall Beer and the Mrs had one of her favorite mixed drinks. The Barmaid was friendly and entertaining earning her tip. Service was prompt as we had drinks, talked and watched College Basketball.

This hooters were filled with pregnant waitresses. Enough said. And with an armed guard at the door. It's not the place where you want to bring your family. We just decided to have one round of drinks and get going

  • Mel S.

The entire landing needs to be remodeled. The whole place smells like dirty dish rags. If you've ever worked in a restaurant, you know what I mean. And it's not just Hooters, but ALL the restaurants. The option to dine outside was the only redeeming value. The wings were just ok, nothing special.

    (2)
  • Chris H.

Worst Hooters ever, service is bad. It took 30 minutes to get one drink. Food took about an hour or so. Managers don't care, neither does the wait staff. With that said you have got so many better options then this location. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Adrianna D.

After the first night of horrible service, the manager named Paul told us to come the next day for better service. The next day that we can it was the biggest 360 I have ever seem. The food and service was great and the manager was nice to give it to us on the house. They have really redeemed themselves.

Hooters being hOOters did not disappoint. It was good. This chain did not disappoint either... We went in and were welcomed by a male gentleman who we later found out was the management. It would have been better to be welcomed by a Hooters gal. It was odd to be welcomed by a dude. LOL I am sure my hubby would have preferred a lady. LOL The food was excellent and overall, it was nice. Well done.

The food is substandard as is the service. But the beer is cold and there are plenty of TVs to watch the game. It's a Hooters; you know what you're going to get when you walk in the door. The bathroom smelled like death and was wet on the floor and somehow also on the walls.

I am very pleased with this particular Hooters. I have been to a few in the past and I actually had a horrible experience. The food was great the staff was amazing. I love how the managers interacted with the waiters and hostess. My reason for giving this a 4 instead of a 5 is due to witnessing an arguement between one of the kitchen people and a bartender on Saturday night. 12/27

Not the best chicken wings I've had. I ordered parmesan garlic. They were way too salty and I love salt. The great item was the fried pickles. The order was big enough for three people. The people watching the servers are worth the price of admission.

Not impressed with the service here. ...probably because we were charged gratuity and she was guaranteed a tip! Wings were good!

Came with some people from work for a conference at the Hyatt. Came here because it was a short walk from the hotel. Food and service were both on the weak side here. Our waitress messed up most parts of the meal. I ordered boneless wings with mild sauce and she put in the order for no sauce. She then brought out some mild sauce and it was a cup of a thick buttery buffalo sauce-gross. I would not recommend eating here with the other options at the Landing.

I really hate to do this. The Jags and Houston game is right down the street. Management doesn't anticipate the ramp up for these events? We got there 3 hours before the game, the bar was not...let me repeat that, the bar was not full. I'm pretty sure our bartender was not old enough to be pouring alcohol for one thing and her attitude...you gotta be kidding me. let me JUST cut to the chase: manager, bartender, waitress, host...ALL BAD. so many infractions, so much bad customer service. I totally forgot to check the inspection certificate on the wall, but no matter. I will not be returning. they should close this place ASAP or fire that manager and send the staff to custom relations training or something to that effect. oh yeah, I had a one beer. and I'm almost certain that the keg tap needs to be serviced. skunky beer isn't exotic.

My review might be a little slanted as I came the night before the Cocktail Party and after the Zac Brown Concert. The Landing was slammed. You had to pay a cover charge just to get to the restaurants and the entire waterfront looked like an orgy of drunk college students and underage drinkers. We wanted to avoid that - and at 1am Hooters was the rare spot to do that. I'm not a fan of Hooters. The food is always terrible! Meanwhile, this was a rare night here. We have exceptional service and good, good food, which you may never hear me say again in my entire lifetime. There must have been 25 servers working and ours told us that on Cocktail Party weekends they bring in the best servers from all local Hooters and have them work double shifts. It was evident. We had blackened Mahi tacos, a chicken quesadilla and boneless wings - all of which were actually good (and no I wasn't drunk or drinking at all). I was shocked and while it doesn't sound like it's the norm here, it was on this night.

I'm not a fan of Hooters, but as far as they go this location is pretty typical. We were at the Landing for a concert and I had to elbow my way in here to get a beer. I am always shocked by the number of kids in Hooters!! Not really "family friendly" in my opinion, but to each their own. This place was really packed when we were here and it took some time to get the bartenders attention but otherwise it seems to be pretty well staffed.

  • Henry S.

This is the worst Hooter's location I have ever visited! Kari, our waitress was GREAT! The bartender was HORRIBLE and had an attitude from hell. She was asked to REMAKE a drink twice, but to use a clean glass (I was told they didn't have any clean glasses!)... It took the "manager on duty" more than 20 minutes to come to the table after asking to speak to him... all in all, the service suxx! Try the McDonald's drive-thru (up the street) or another location but stay away from this place!

  • Tanda M.

Kinda weird place. We were greeted by the typical Hooters girls. Weird, that they hire younger than 18 or 21 servers. We could not get the beer that was ordered, so someone else had to bring it Umm...i get it. Laws and regulations. So, service was cool. The restaurant was decent and clean. Loud ambiance- obviously- sports was playing on all the flatscreens and its in a nice location- off the water downtown J-Ville. That's all good right? Well...the wings...pretty terrible. This is NOT just at this location...Hooters wings taste pretty bad. I had not had Hooters since like 2005 in DC. I remember now why. Really bad wings. Bad fries. Soggy. But the salad was good. But you cant screw up a salad. Hooters, you gotta do better on the wings.

It's the best place at JAX Landing. They stay open until 11:00p, which is later than everyone else (at least at this time of year anyway). The waitresses look good and they are friendly. The food is average Hooters stuff just like you would expect. They did update the menu a little bit and they have a few new things that worth a shot. The grilled wings are just as tasty as the fried ones, but are a lot healthier. I enjoy their big 32oz beers. Those would cost $10 at pretty much any other restaurant in the area (because it would be two beers). There are better places to go eat in Jacksonville, but this is a good location for a sports bar and they manage it well.

  • Trever P.

I went here in 2013 for New Years. This place was extremely loud an extremely busy but you get a good view of the st. Johns River. It's like any other Hooters restaurant. But just a lot bigger. I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars decent food alright service if you're ever at the Jacksonville Landing. stop in.

    (3)
  • Vanessa R.

Service was good, fried pickles are bigger than at other hooters, only downside was the breaded wings! Too much breading, not enough sauce. Get the daytona beach style wings naked instead, highlight of our meal!

  • Mike M.

A joke. A pathetic joke. How this place stays in business is beyond me. The only thing they appear capable of doing is pouring beer. And even that they go "cheap" leaving a full 3/4" of empty space at the top of my "pint" glass. Any corporate types take note: I've *never* been to a Hooters; this was the first time for me here in Jacksonville. But based on the inability of this Hooters to handle my simple order and provide a hot meal ...booty shorts and big boobs or not ...I ain't coming' back. Ever. This was a Wednesday ...about 3:15 in the afternoon. When I walked in there were no more than 20 people in the restaurant. I sat at the bar, corner stool right near the taps. The special was 10 boneless chicken wings with fries. I went with it ...even upgraded to the "Daytona Sauce" on half the wings (50 cents upcharge) and had Habanero BBQ sauce on the other five. I also ordered a side salad; the barmaid took my order. My food arrived after the requisite one beer. A waitress dropped it off and told me my salad would be along in a minute. Now, while I didn't ask for it, I was anticipating my salad would arrive ASAP so I might eat it while I waited for the main dish ...I anticipated wrong. Anyway, the barmaid came over and saw I didn't have my salad and she took off for the kitchen. In like 30 seconds she was back with my salad ...followed 30 seconds later by the waitress who had not one, but two side salads and a confused look on her face. So I ordered another beer and took stock at what was placed before me. Boneless chicken wings??? I think not. There was nothing "wing" about them ...boneless or otherwise ...and no resemblance to the "mouth watering" picture in the menu. These were chicken *nuggets*. I was hungry so I dug in. These were fried dry within a inch of their life tepid cool chicken nuggets ...like they'd been left on the counter for about 10 minutes while Miss Bootie Shorts finished her texting. The "Daytona Sauce" is supposedly a Hooters specialty. I don't know why; there's nothing special about it. Looking forward to a little burn from the Habenero BBQ sauced nuggets I was equally disappointed. The cold, mucus-like goo was anything but hot. So far we have a plate of EPIC FAILURE. And the boneless wings are a Hooters specialty?? I finished and paid but before I left I asked to speak to the manager. Again, corporate types take note: the guy who ambled out was dressed worse than half the clients in the place that afternoon. There was *nothing* on this mans person to indicate this guy was the manager on duty let alone a Hooters employee. That is pretty sad. But it spoke a lot to me; if this slovenly appearing dude was the manager it's no wonder the place operates so poorly. I let the manager know what my experience was like and what I thought of his Hooters. He offered to pay for my meal, which I declined, and sternly told me he would "investigate" my issues. If the guy puts as much effort into "investigating" as he does with his personal appearance I'm not having a lot of faith anything will change. If all you wanna do is drink ...beer ....this Hooters is fine. Anything more than that, go somewhere else. Even a Micky Dee's is light years better than this dump.

Worst hooters we have ever been to. Hostess looked like she was on dope. Eyes rolling in the back of her head, moving in slow motion, sharing stories about her Friday night before....We actually interrupted her and told her "lets get with the program. Focus. We'd like to be seated today". Once seated, a beer came out to our table late with lipstick on the glass. Mmmm. After getting THAT resolved, the replacement drink was warm. What a great start to dinner before the football game, right? We always order our wings "extra crispy". That request was ignored. Wings and fries were cold. This place is a disaster and needs new management. Someone smart enough to embrace the prime location and handle the peak hours before football games at the neighboring stadium. The place could use a good cleaning too. They really need to get it together. Sad.:(

Stepped out of Hyatt to eat. Band playing outside. Food was terrible even for Hooters. Service was bad and they cram as many tables together as they can. Long wait and plenty of open tables. Nice location to eat and sit outside on the water yet we were not allowed to eat outside even with open tables outside and diners eating outside.

Me & my friends went here on a Monday unlimited wings night. The food was good. The waitresses were...out of their mind kind of like they were thinking of something else! Haha. We ordered different flavors of wings & sauce on them, but instead our orders got switched with somebody elses order?! Even the drinks that we ordered were wrong! Plus, u gotta wait a bit longerr for your order. Good thing though, we were just there for a good time of chit-chatting, drinking. It took away the time that you have been waiting for your order. I also got curious though about how 2 different families took their sons & daughters in there to celebrate birthdays & sang with the hooters girls in the mini stage they have? Kids under 16? I looked at the kids, they were definitely unhappy at all. What was wrong with these parents anyways? Well, anyhow..this is just my opinion. Peace out!

This hooters was terrible, the wings were over cooked and the sauce tasted like butter and hot sauce, it was disgusting, I could only eat two, don't go here!!!

  • Khristopher B.

As with any Hooters in America, this location is plagued by a waitress staff that is disinterest and mediocre because they realize they are being flaunted around. For this particular Jacksonville location, it means the women give patrons forced smiles, drop your food on your table and scamper off to join the cluster of other waitresses who are, again, irritated that they have to be there. For a place where the business model is basically to serve men, the portions seem to appear small. I've been to this location several times and, for some reason, the fries always taste stale or like they were freezer burned. The wings and shrimp and salads and ribs all aren't terrible, but they aren't amazing either. This Hooters takes advantage of being on the St. Johns riverfront. The outdoor dining area is stupendous. Inside it is a very spacious location, but alas, the place is your typical sports bar. ESPN on the television. Empty beer mugs on dirty tables. Guys at the bar in baseball caps. Disinterested wait staff, average food, but fantastic view of the river. That sums up this Hooter's.

Walked in to this Hooters restaurant with a party of seven on a Tuesday. I realize that's a large group but it was post dinner rush and this place was D-E-A-D. And not recently, this place had the vibe that it'd been dead for a while. Like walking up on a crime scene. So really, service shouldn't have been a problem. Everyone was standing around looking bored. There were maybe four other occupied tables. Go figure, we closed the place down. No, not like that. Not like we had them dropping pitchers off and we were singing songs and getting crazy. Nope. We were just waiting around for service all night. First off, there was a long wait for order turn around. The food came ... well, some of it did. It took 20 minutes between the first plate landing in front of us til our last diner was served. Then came a long wait for the waitress to notice us flagging her down for our checks. Finally, the checks arrive and ... they're all wrong. Items that weren't ordered all over the place. Took a full FORTY FIVE MINUTES for them to correct the bills. Incredible. Waitress was more interested in pimping Hooters gear than service. The food was ... well, let's be honest. It was Hooters food. Not good but what you expect. It was the service that made this such a rotten experience.

Hello, perfect location! After some friends decided we should head to the landing and explore a bit we were quite hungry at nearly 12:30 a.m. Figuring it closed at 2 we were excited this was still a great option. We were GREETED by a police officer. That's pretty much my main compliant.. I get this isn't the best area but are tax dollars really going to police officers hanging in the local Hooters? Anyway, a Hooters girl asked us if we'd like a low or high top and headed us to our table. We were quickly informed last call was in 10 minutes (12:45 so everyone knows!). My boyfriend and I always order fried pickles and must I say these were EXTRA delicious this time. Nicely sliced, crispy and battered to perfection! Everyone ordered full meals and arrived by 1:00a.m. while we were the only ones left while they cleaned, we didn't feel rushed really at all! Can't say much about the food besides the fried pickles were awesome as that's all I had but service at this location was great and they were seriously cleaning. I'm really a huge fan of the location and getting to sit right by the water!

I have tried on two occasions to patronize the Hooter's Landings and have felt as though my business was not needed. Don't try and place an order for pick up, the phone may not get answered. If it does get answered you will either be hung up on or placed on eternal hold. Not the way I do business.

Yes, I'm actually giving a chain 4 stars. Even if I absolutely love a particular chain, I generally won't give it over 3 stars; but, this Hooters gets that extra star from me for location, location, location! Jacksonville is such a beautiful city and it's so nice to be able to sit on the patio of Hooters and enjoy the lovely view of downtown from the north bank. One particular year, we thought it would be nice to head to Hooters mid-afternoon to grab an outdoor table for the 4th of July festivities at The Landing. We thought we'd have a nice table and a lovely view of the fireworks. It worked out perfectly until about 5 minutes before the fireworks started that evening and people started hopping the fence onto the Hooters patio. I felt as if someone had trapped me inside a box; total disaster. So if you're thinking about the same thing for one of the Holiday events, you have been warned! :) As Hooters goes, you can pretty much always count on friendly service with bright, happy, shinny smiles. I feel the girls here really go above and beyond. Of all the Hooters chains I've visited, this one has the best staff and service I've encountered. I have been here countless times and they have never let me down. When it comes to wings, Hooters wins. I've had wings from more places than I can count and when I get the craving, I always head to Hooters. I also always order the fried dill pickles - NOM! If we're heading in just for a quick meal, we skip the alcohol and stick with soda or water. But if I'm wanting to kick back and relax for a while, we always order up a pitcher or two of their sangria. It's not the best in the world, but it's certainly not the worst. Most importantly, it gets the job done! HaHa! :) So head to this particular Hooters location, get a table on the patio, order up a pitcher of sangria, and sit and enjoy the beauty of Jacksonville for a while!

Visited this location on an average Saturday afternoon. Not a noticeably busy day- in fact, lots of girls were in the back dining area brushing their hair rather than actually working. Other than lackluster food, my gripe with this location was their bathrooms. The ladies room was disgusting (at 3pm on a Saturday!), and I can only imagine it got much worse throughout the day. I notified a manager of the disaster bathroom, and he didn't seem phased. I was at the restaurant for about two hours and visited the bathroom once more before I left. Still a trashed bathroom with only one working stall, paper everywhere, no toilet paper, unflushed toilets, etc. You expect that from a port-a-potty or a restaurant at 3am, but not in the middle of the afternoon. PS- On another note, for those interested in the view... I usually find Hooters girls in FL to be some of the best, but these Jacksonville ladies were just embarrassing. Drive the extra hour to Gainesville for a MUCH better view!

food is mediocre, but service is god awful. i ordered takeout was told food would be ready in twenty min. 50 min. later I go back to the girl who took my order. come to find out the food was just sitting. out waiting for someone to bring it to me. I had very little expectations going to hooters only to be proven that they cant reach the most basic expectation when it comes to service.

Total disaster. Visited with my girlfriend and two of her cast mates, who all had limited time as they were between performances. The place was not particularly busy, maybe 1/2 full. The young waitress was very nice, but seemed somewhat clueless. Also, there was a shift change in the works, and it was being very clumsily handled. Our orders were not complicated, yet we waited a full 45 minutes before we were finally served. The food was what one expects of Hooters; adequate. The wait was ridiculous. Many tables around us, seated long after us, were served well before us. Bottom line? The wait would be inexcusable even if the food were top-rate, which of course it's not. Avoid.

The service here is slow, we have been waiting more than 30 minutes. It's not really busy either.

Three stars for great location and the fact that they serve beer. Three Stars for being what you'd expect from a Hooters food-wise. One star for service and attitude. We went there on an off night with a party of 8--should have been no problem, since the place was almost empty, and there was no major sporting event on TV. They acted like it was a big deal, an inconvenience even, to seat us on the patio, and begrudgingly gave us two tables next to each other looking out onto the empty patio in the back of the restaurant located next to a wait-staff drink section/wash sink. We even got an eye-roll from the hostess for asking to be seated outside on such a not-so-busy night. generally, the staff had no sense of urgency (but then, I'm always shocked at the level of douchebaggery inherent in the average Hooters fry cook--shouting angrily at servers--no wonder they don't want to come pick up their orders!). The girl who took care of us was nice enough, but seemed to be dealing with a general lack of teamwork in the restaurant. She was able to muster up a few other servers to take a picture with my baby nephew, however, but as far as food running went, she was lucky to get one other server. I won't call the servers dirty names, but there did seem to be a great deal of the "tip me because I'm hot" attitude that is more appropriate in a strip club than in a restaurant. I don't think it's at all off-sides to expect a certain modicum of service when I eat at a Hooters.

The food is entirely mediocre but the service is lovely. The service staff and manager were friendly, welcoming and hospitable. We sat outside during a thunderstorm and watched the lightening and rain over the river. This is my first, and likely last Hooters visit, since the food is meh, but the people working here are very nice.

I was contacted about this review by the manager. The manager at this location is very friendly, and will go out of the way to keep you as a customer.

After a stroll through the Landing -- drinks, wings and a nice riverfront view was exactly what we wanted. I'm not a fan of breaded, so the naked Daytona flaps had a nice spice that was satisfying. The Hurricane drinks were yummy. The only thing I wish they still had were the celery sticks -- that would have been nice to clear the palate. Curly fries is always a nice accompaniment. But the BEST part was the Chocolate Mousse Cake! We were already full, so we got a slice to go. ;D I'd say the cake is what gives it 4 stars. Good thing I live far from there, otherwise that cake would be dangerous for a diet -- but SOOOO WORTH it!

We reviewed Hooters for their burger only. So this review is only geared towards what kind of burger is presented there. We all know why people like Hooters. Sadly it wouldn't be for their burger. Even though it wasn't a bad burger it wasn't the type of burger that we as the BurgerGeeks try to find in Jacksonville. It was an average burger that sadly had a fast food feel to it. To get a more detailed review of it, please visit BurgerGeeks@blogspot.com or follow us on twitter at @BurgerGeeks. I can't say that we wold recommend Hooters for their burgers, for other things, maybe, but not for their burgers.

Let's just start with this... just because they turn you down for a date doesn't make the servers at Hooters "skanks." What a schmuck... look a few down for his pathetic review. Also, if you want "fine dining," don't goto Hooters. Seriously? Ok - for my review. Fun little location, predictably tasty food for where you're going, and a very nice (if probably over-harrassed) waitstaff. Definitely a fun stop.

Like most chain restaurants I try to steer clear of reviewing the food and give the what's up on this location vs most. Although since moving to NY, I don't go to hooters anymore (the NY option is not an option with so many other food venues to choose from). The Landing location is quite large, and I found the wings better here than served in other locations. I think it's the Florida origins and anything replicated outside the epicenter get's increasingly lest tastie. Breaded of course and the Cajun option is a great taste I don't get in CA or NY. The "servers" are nice, energetic and put on a good show that they want to be there. I went outside the comfort zone and tried the crab legs and by far this has been the best item on the menu outside the beer and wings. Give it a go if you're looking for something other than burgers and chicken. Enjoy
