They bring food that's pretty good to my house quickly. The veggies aren't canned, frozen or past their prime -- the broccoli comes green & with a nice crunch to it. The food is probably less salty and is definitely less greasy than most Chinese takeout / delivery I've had. They even have a small section of the menu titled "Healthy Steamed Dishes" if you go for that sort of thing. I do wish they offered brown rice as an option.

Ive been to lots of other chinese restaurants and this is as good as its going to get. The Orange beef is just out of this world! Me and my boyfriend got it to eat in and it was so tender and crispy that i didnt even realize it was beef. Not chewy or hard at all.Sometimes they will go overboard with the sauce but if you tell them you want less they will give you what you want. They will custom make almost everything on the menu. If they have it they will usually make it. The Egg rolls are the best, i wont eat anyone else's. The sesame chicken is really good too, my whole family eats it. In fact they eat everything and dont ever leave leftovers. Must try and try eating in because the food taste soo different when its eaten right away.

I was very surprised to get good food from a place in a strip mall with photos for a menu, but I'll be the first to admit it was good. We got crab rangoon, szechuan chicken, and orange beef. The Orange beef was delicious!!!!!! I have been craving it for a while now and this is the first place in Jax I've been able to find it. The Crab rangoon were tasty, not greasy, but could use a little more crab flavor. The chicken, I could take or leave. It had lots of chicken and not many veggies, which was interesting, but it was a little bland for my taste, needed quite a bit of chili sauce to make it better. Will be back, though!

Excellent food, fast. Wonton soup is phenomenal. I enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken I ordered as well as the shrimp fried rice. By far the best thing I ate though was the egg roll. This is high praise from me as I'm not inclined to eating egg rolls. Inside is small although you can dine in. Just know that if you do your taking one of the few spots for everyone else that sits for three minutes waiting for their take out.

My fiancee is Chinese and I get a lot of exposure to really excellent Chinese food both at home and in restaurants in New York, San Fran, LA etc...when we visit her family. Green Tea is very much on par with what you'd find in larger cities. Even in Jacksonville I've had my favorites that ended up falling short to the quality and freshness at Green Tea. I haven't had anything bad here. You can order without fear, I personally recommend the Mei Fun, Lo Mein, Wonton Soup, dumplings (steamed or fried).

Great customer service, great taste and great price. I'm visiting the area on business and tried this place opposed to others because of the great reviews. Did not dissapoint! Would recommend and I may return before I leave!

Another failed attempt to find decent chinese in our new town. I cannot believe people think this is good! I have had better in mall food courts!

After our first two Asian restaurant experiences here in Jax we were starting to think that good Chinese food didn't exist around here. However we found Green Tea and it completely changed our opinion. This place rocks. The food is excellent, the service is great and we have always left completely satisfied. The Orange beef is so good I have a hard time trying other things.

One of the best Chinese Take Outs in Jax! They are fast and DELISH!! We normally get the Lo Mein, Pepper Steak, and S&S Chicken along with White Rice and Shrimp Egg Rolls. Sometimes the Lo Mein is a little too oily so that is why I took away a star. Other than that, I highly recommend this place! And they deliver!

I really only order one thing when I go here....wonton soup....and the occasional egg roll. It's the best wonton soup I've found so far in Jax so I'll definitely keep going back. The reason I'm not giving it more than 3 stars is for the sheer fact that I've not tried other items from their menu.

Best Chinese takeout in Jacksonville. There food is always fresh. They make everything homemade. True mom and pops place. Egg rolls are outstanding.

haven't had a bad meal here! The Wonton Soup is awesome! And the pot stickers are gigantic in size too! Always fresh food. And they deliver.

Love this place!! Food is always cooked to order. We've just about eaten our way through their menu and have found nothing that's not excellent! I wish I had a favorite to rave about. But, seriously.. IT IS ALL GOOD! The owners are friendly and always give a free "something" just as a thanks. They will make substitutions and cook something not on the menu if you ask! Love this local gem!

Come on guys, 5 stars for standard Chinese take out? Are you kidding me? It's pretty good for take out, but there are like 15 other places I've been to in jacksonville with the exact same menu, taste and quality. Pretty normal for Chinese take out, nothing special.

I LOVE green tea! Been going here for a couple years now. It's the BEST quality Chinese food I've found. Every time I get delivery they are ALWAYS ON TIME with very friendly service. Not really a dine-in place but you can. My food is always hot when I pick it up and they ALWAYS have my order CORRECT. Love this place and will continue to keep going.

Awesome, friendly and fast. Spring rolls, egg rolls were yum! Very clean inside and they are always super busy.

I ordered from this place my first time after reading the reviews of how great this place is. After what seemed to be an hour, I finally got my food delivered. I ordered shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, general tsao chicken, and shrimp chow mein. What I got. Shrimp fried rice, 2 orders of orange chicken, and this shrimp cabbage bowl, oh and 2 sides of steamed rice. It didn't bother me that the order was wrong, these things happen, what bothered me was the fact that the lady argued with me after I called to let them know it was wrong. On top of which, they weren't busy. HOW does chow mein (this noodle dish I have gotten from EVERY other place I have eaten Chinese food place from) to a cabbage dish?! I don't know, maybe someone else can explain that. Next, she assures me she marked the dish that was orange chicken and not the one that is General tsao. Again, both look and taste exactly the same but apparently one is orange and the other is not. Pictures to follow! I will most DEFINITELY NOT visit this place again!!!

We've picked up from Green Tea 2 times the past month and it was excellent both times. First time we ordered chicken and broccoli and beef and broccoli combo dinners. For a minimal upcharge, we had shrimp egg roll instead of pork and shrimp fried rice instead of pork. The portions were huge. The last time we ordered, we split a large chicken and broccoli, 2 delicious and crispy shrimp egg rolls and excellent shrimp fried rice, total cost $16. The portion was large enough for leftovers feeding the 2 of us the next night. We asked for white sauce on the chicken and broccoli instead of brown and it was wonderful. NO MSG served here. Green Tea is definitely our Chinese pickup place from now on. If the phone is busy, it's because it is sooo good. It's worth the re-dial.

Let's see... 1.) Food is great! 2.) Service is great! 3.) It's always clean! Normally I go into to further detail but really it's a 123 deal here. We've never been disappointed in anything. Seriously, the previous reviews and mine are as advertised. The Mongolian Beef and General Tso's are very good and I use those 2 dishes as my "indicators" of any great "strip mall oriental". There is always a steady (and I mean constant) stream of regulars. Another great indicator of great "strip mall oriental". I do not use that phrase in a derogatory manner, it's just a simple fact of many restaurants of this type. I would recommend them to anyone, any day of the year!

Fried chicken is the best in town! The other food is about average for the price range.

Such yummy Chinese food!!! My co-workers and I always order lunch specials which run $4.95+tax and come with rice (if you don't want rice, just ask to get extra meet or pay $1 more and get steam veggies). We always do delivery so it is a $10 minimum, but between me and other co-workers who love the egg rolls, it's an easy target to meet. The General Tso's chicken and Orange Chicken are super good! Definitely something to try when you go there even if it's common. The service and delivery are pretty fast, and they also save your information in their computer so it pull it up once they ask for your phone number. One of my favorite Chinese spots to eat at! :)

Love this place for Chinese! A lot of times when it Chinese it is very greasy and you feel so weighed down, not at Green Tea. Love the Singapore noodles and the fried rice but honestly everything I have gotten thus far has been good.

Great service for a little humble takeout place. Staff was pleasant and the cheap food filled my tummy up to perfection!

Been there 3 times, every time I gave them a second chance, but no more. For a fast food place it takes too long to get your food, but the taste is like it was made too fast.

Delicious food and great staff. I highly recommend this place! They even keep track of your orders so if by chance you get home without something (forgot the pancakes once), they will add it to your next order free of charge.

My top pick for Chinese food in Mandarin. Quick, well-priced, and delicious. The noodles are the perfect softness. I almost always get general chicken and it's always good. The white rice is also awesome- I get a box along with my meal, it's so yummy.

I loved getting the sesame chicken dinner here. I'm sad I've moved a little to far away to get this as consistently as I did before. I use to have a hard time understanding the lady on the phone when making an order, but now usually someone else answers the phone. The food is usually delivered quicker than they say and it's hot and delicious! Definitely a takeout or delivery place, although there's some tables if you need to eat in.

I am really struggling with this one.... The service was fast and staff friendly. The food was not great, but you don't expect 'great' food in a Chinese take out place. My biggest issue with Green Tea is the mongolian beef dish. It was 95% onion and scallion and 5% beef... it was a sea of onion and scallion that we dug around for the thin slices of beef and pretty much threw 75% of the dish away. Also the beef fried rice really wasn't great either. Especially when we try to eat it the second day (portion was big), the rice just really dried up. However, their egg rolls, chicken wings, orange chicken all tasted good. Kung pao chicken also a bit filled with what we call 'filler' veggies. I will probably go back and try again, see if they would customize some dishes (as a reviewer indicated that they can customize). For the price and being a take out, I think they are "A-OK".

Awesome... that is my one word description of this place.... They are always more than polite, and friendly. The food is fantabulous. I am a guy so I love to eat and they never scrimp on the portions... which is appreciated !!! The food is fresh and as fast as can be expected for fresh cooked food. The menu is big and I have not had anything there that I did not like. A+ guys !!!

I read the reviews for this place yesterday as I have been craving some Chinese food for the last couple of days. This place had the best reviews by far in my general area so I tried it out. The food wasn't bad at all. I had the dinner special Mongolian beef w/ the pork fried rice and the eggroll. The beef was well done albeit a bit heavy on the sauce and a tad on the salty side, the veggies were still crisp and tasted great and the rice was very good with chunks of pork spare rib meat was nice. My wife got the orange chicken and enjoyed it as well, the chicken wasn't overly battered and the sauce was nice and light and not so gelatinous like you find at many places. She didn't enjoy the eggroll as much as I did as she had never really had an eggroll before, but instead of filled with wilted veggies and pork mush, this was actually pretty good, I thought it needed some seasoning personally and I had a couple of bites of mine. Service was very nice, the lady who answered the phone was fine and the prices were good. I had a bit of trouble finding the place as I am not very familiar with that area but it all worked out. I don't have much to complain about here but I will say that after the meal which was good both me and my wife felt sluggish and tired, stomach issues ensued and we didn't eat a ton (there were lots of leftovers). Also, the soy sauce packets along with the hot mustard were awful! Very cheap and not in the least a halfway decent soy sauce, it tasted like soy flavored water with a sickly sweet aftertaste GROSS.. Word to the wise here please get Kimlan brand (it's my personal favorite.) I would go back and eat here again, I will just make sure that I don't have any plans afterward.

For a quick Chinese restaurant it was ok the lemon chicken was cut properly the sauce was too light I like a sauce that sticks. The house combination rice no problems not amazing but fine. Egg and spring roles fine. It was good service quick and inexpensive and clean

Cant believe Chinese food could ever need salt. No taste whatsoever! Delivery was very quick though.

I went here off a recommendation since I just moved to this area and I was so not impressed. I waited forever and it wasn't even fresh. I ordered the beef and broccoli, which I probably wouldn't suggest. Try Min Garden or China Dragon.

Great take out! Perfect lo mein, not too hard, not to soggy. General Tso Chicken is amazing, and if you are vegetarian, they will adjust whatever you want on the menu and make the tofu as delicious as anything else on the menu! The crab meat rangoon is deliciously crabby, so I never leave without an order or two in my take-out.

This may seem like your average Chinese take-out... After dining here I have seen that things again are not what they seem. Where to start? I walked in and was cordially greeted by a Chinese woman who spoke clear English. (Which made complicated ordering so easy.) The place was clean and tidy, which is a huge plus for me. Then came the more than enough food to eat at a killer lunch special price. I ordered the chicken lo mein and couldn't finish it all, even though it was delicious. I think I've found a great lunch spot at Green Tea for whenever I need my Chinese fix.

Terrific food and service. Very friendly staff, and they'll customize dishes if you ask. The food is fresh and is the best chinese take-out I've had. My personal favorite is General Tso's chicken, but there's plenty to choose from.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
